  • Love Yourself

SOCIETY by Neha Pande Love Yourself 27 July 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement The 21st century has had some of the best inventions, theories, findings and the list goes on and on, but 21st century, especially 2017 and 2018, have also marked the beginning of body positivity for men and women. Now tell me how many times have you felt down thinking about your body? Thinking I’m fat or I’m too skinny or my arms are too long or my thighs need a thigh gap or maybe not. How many times have you looked into the mirror and felt sick of the way you look? But this year is the time when you leave all those worries behind and think positively about yourself and your body. Go to the gym because you want to be healthy, not skinny or eat a lot, not because you want more mass on your body, eat for yourself because it’s healthy for your body. Girls and guys at times get gloomy because of their body weight thinking “I’m getting too fat and I should probably go on a diet,” To them my answer is, No honey! No need to go on a diet! Because you look and are perfect just the way you are and let’s not forget in olden times a little bit of fat or plum was in fashion and now is coming back into fashion. The boys and girls who say “I’m too skinny, ” To them I’d like to say is that god you look beautiful and to my guy friends I’d like to say, you look handsome! I mean look at those collar bones, I want those. Beauty is subjective and it’s us who are making it objective but I’m proud of some high fashion magazines like Vogue and Elle for giving chances to models who do not fit the typical “model” standards that are tall, slim and oval shaped face models with great eyebrows. There has been a significant change in the fashion and makeup world which is embracing body positivity but there is always more scope as we still are hesitant towards it. We all should embrace ourselves and our bodies, go to the gym and exercise because it’s good for the body and eat yummy dishes because you deserve it! The best thing is nowadays we have amazing role models to look up to who talk about body positivity and how to embrace it, like Demi Lovato, Arjun Kapoor, Shane Dawson and many more who talk about how important it is to be body positive and spread body positivity. I mean if Robert Downey Jr. can be short and be the infamous Iron Man who has shaken up the movie industry. Our amazingly talented Adele can be plum and still embracing her body and rocking the stage, then we can also embrace our body and be positive about it. #BodyPositivitySelfloveLoveyourselfPositivityVogueEllePlussizeSkinnyDemiLovatoShaneDawsonRobertDowneyJuniorArjunKapoorAdeleBodylove SEARCH Women Empowerment A mere concept or a real Concern SOCIETY Looking Through The Excellence Of ‘Jaali’ Architecture SOCIETY Why the Gender Pay Gap is Wide and Disturbing SOCIETY Festival of Stones SOCIETY The Pygmalion Effect SOCIETY POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma Uniting Voices, Shaping Futures: Dive Into Mun 2.0 At NIT Patna 8 September 2024 SOCIETY By Anushka Sharma These Healthy Habits Can Lower Your Risk Of Depression 31 August 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak A Glance In The Kshitij’23: A Euphoric Escapade 26 January 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak Mithibai Kshitij: Epitome Of Diverse Social Cause Empowerment 24 January 2024 SOCIETY RELATED POSTS

  • Pad vs Banana

SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Pad vs Banana 19 April 2022 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement What is Sex-education? I grew-up in a small town, where the people would receive a thrashing for uttering the word SEX. Writing the word SEX on any piece of paper, was no less than penning our own death warrant. Therefore, learning about it from our schoolbooks became impossible, and talking about it in the public was considered offensive. Along with my puberty came the age of 2G internet, and along with downloading video games setup on proxy servers, porn movies became the hot talk. These enabled the boys of my age to watch videos of penetrative sex. Yes, it was porn movies that gave us them first sex lessons. The debate of ban over pornography has always received mixed opinions, and even mine has fluctuated with time. Sex-education is certainly a must for every person in their late teenage and early adulthood. Particularly, for people like me who grow up in small towns with not much provided guidance. Having been a porn addict, I find myself qualified (read and learned) enough to write against pornography. Pornography lacks consent: I have watched many porn movies in which the female actors are seen undressing their male partners without their consent. The male actors are seen groping their female partners without their consent. Basically, pornography, in general promotes (at least supports) molestation in the name of sex. People may have different political, religious, and regional identities, but no one should consider molestation normal. Anyone defending pornography, for any intention, should at least not let this very thought slip away from their mind. Pornography encourages incest: A significant number of porn movies show the male actor having sex with a girl playing the role of his mother, sister, sister-in-law and even daughter. While the religions and cultures have different opinions on incest, research shows that incest is harmful to possible off springs. Majority of sex educators (gynaecologists) strongly oppose incest, and hence incest shouldn’t be encouraged in the name of sex through pornography. Sanitary napkins vs Bananas: A good porn movie (according to my younger version) is incomplete without a girl inserting unconventional items (like a banana) inside her private parts. The availability of such videos on the internet is a matter of disgrace. Sex education should be about spreading knowledge on the healthy menstrual cycle, sanitation of genitals, valuing consent, and so on. It should certainly not be about the ill-treatment of genitals but rather about EXPLORATION of sexuality. P.S.I do not intend to offend anyone. by Akash Khatri by Akash Khatri Palm Islands 1 October 2020 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement One of the country’s most prominent project ever, Dubai’s palm Islands, developed by Nakheel, are the eighth wonder of the world! These man made islands are designed in a palm tree shape and thus got their name from it. The distinctiveness and interesting history behind it grabs the tourist attraction here. One of the most visited destination in Dubai has been admired since long. There are three islands that altogether makes Palm Island, including Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Deira. Deira is the largest one. Palm Jumeirah It is the only one open to visitors and is also famous for the grand looking hotel, Burj Al Arab. Palm Jebel Ali It was the most significant among the three islands when built. It was so large that more than 250,000 people were expected to live there. But it’s an abandoned island as of now because of the deficit economic situation in Dubai. Nakheel has confirmed that it won’t be put to a stop. It’ll continue at some point of time for sure. • How Koreans Eat And Drink Their Way To Beautiful Skin

By Anushka Sharma By Anushka Sharma How Koreans Eat And Drink Their Way To Beautiful Skin 20 June 2024 BEAUTY Advertisement Advertisement Koreans are renowned for their glowing, youthful complexions, and it’s no secret that diet plays a significant role in their skincare regimen. While the world often marvels at their intricate beauty routines, the foundation of their enviable skin lies in the foods and drinks they consume daily. From fermented vegetables to soothing teas, Korean cuisine is packed with nutrients that promote healthy, radiant skin. Here’s a closer look at some of the key elements of the Korean diet that contribute to beautiful skin. Kimchi: The Fermented Marvel Kimchi, a staple in Korean households, is a spicy, fermented cabbage dish that offers numerous benefits for the skin. This pungent dish is loaded with garlic, chili, and antioxidants that help fight the aging process and promote an even complexion. Selenium and other nutrients in kimchi enhance skin elasticity and clarity. Eaten with almost every meal, kimchi adds a flavorful punch to dishes while nourishing the skin from within. Despite its strong smell that can dominate your fridge, kimchi is a must-try for anyone looking to improve their skin health naturally. Seaweed Soup (Miyeok Guk): Nutrient-Rich Tradition Seaweed soup, known as Miyeok Guk, is a traditional dish consumed especially during breakfast and on birthdays. This custom stems from the practice of giving new mothers seaweed soup to replenish vital nutrients lost during childbirth. Rich in sulfates, seaweed has a soothing effect on the skin and helps maintain its elasticity. By choosing seaweed soup over sugary birthday treats, Koreans ensure their skin remains youthful and vibrant, even as they celebrate another year. Soybean Soup (Doenjang Jjigae): The Antioxidant Powerhouse Doenjang Jjigae, a beloved soybean soup, is a daily fixture in Korean meals. Made from fermented soybean paste, this soup is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants that protect the skin from UV damage and environmental stressors. The affordability and nutritional benefits of soybeans make this dish a popular choice, proving that effective skincare can also be cost-effective. Incorporating Doenjang Jjigae into your diet can help shield your skin from damage and maintain its natural glow. Barley Tea (Bori Cha): The Circulation Booster Barley tea, or Bori Cha, is a refreshing beverage enjoyed hot in the winter and cold in the summer. Known for its deep, nutty flavor, barley tea is consumed in large quantities by Koreans for its health benefits, particularly for the skin. This tea enhances circulation, which is crucial for keeping the skin firm and promoting cell regeneration. Swapping out your usual coffee for barley tea can significantly benefit your skin, making it a simple yet effective addition to your skincare routine. Fermented Rice Wine (Makgeolli): The Skin Brightener Makgeolli, a traditional Korean rice wine, is more than just a drink; it's a skincare elixir. Unlike other alcoholic beverages, Makgeolli is rich in vitamin B and amino acids, which help brighten the skin and even out the complexion. It's also beneficial for treating acne. The skincare benefits of Makgeolli have inspired a variety of beauty products, including sheet masks and serums. Enjoying Makgeolli not only adds a touch of indulgence to your meals but also contributes to healthier, more radiant skin. The secret to Koreans’ beautiful skin lies in their dietary choices, which are rich in nutrients that support skin health. From the antioxidant-rich kimchi and nutrient-packed seaweed soup to the circulation-boosting barley tea and skin-brightening Makgeolli, these foods and drinks are integral to maintaining a youthful, radiant complexion. By incorporating these elements into your diet, you can harness the power of Korean cuisine to achieve beautiful skin from the inside out. • These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health

These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health By Anushka Sharma These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health 1 April 2024 FASHION Advertisement Fashion is like a thrilling roller coaster ride, isn't it? It's full of twists, turns, and unexpected surprises. However, did you know that some of those surprises lurking in your closet might not be so fun after all? Buckle up, because we're about to uncover the hidden dangers of fast fashion and trendy accessories. Fast fashion is like the speedy Gonzales of the clothing world. It churns out cheap clothes faster than you can say "fashion emergency." But here's the catch: those super affordable threads often come with a not-so-pleasant side effect. They're loaded with chemicals that can irritate your skin and even cause health issues. Think of it like wearing a toxic soup – definitely not a good look! Now, let's talk about everyone's favorite footwear: sneakers. They're comfy, stylish, and practically a fashion staple these days. But did you know that wearing sneakers too much can mess with your feet? Yep, it's true! They can throw off your posture and even lead to painful foot problems. So, while you're busy rocking those kicks, your poor feet might be silently screaming for a break. And then there are waist trainers – those trendy contraptions designed to give you that coveted hourglass figure. Sounds great, right? Well, not exactly. Sure, they might help you cinch your waist, but they can also wreak havoc on your body. From messing with your appetite to causing serious breathing issues, waist trainers are like the fashion equivalent of a tight squeeze. But let's not forget about the accessories, because they come with their own set of dangers too. Heavy earrings might look glam, but they can actually stretch out your earlobes or even cause them to split. Ouch! And those ill-fitting thongs? They can rub you the wrong way and leave you feeling seriously uncomfortable. So, what's a fashion-forward individual to do in a world full of wardrobe woes? Well, for starters, it's important to be mindful of what you're putting on your body. Opt for clothes made from natural materials whenever possible, and steer clear of anything that feels scratchy or uncomfortable. When it comes to footwear, choose shoes that offer both style and support. And don't forget to give your feet a break every now and then – they deserve it! As for accessories, go easy on the heavy earrings and make sure your thongs fit just right. And most importantly, listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, don't ignore it. Fashion should be fun and fabulous, not hazardous to your health. So, the next time you're getting dressed, remember to put safety first. After all, there's nothing more stylish than taking care of yourself! • Fashion Pieces That Will Never Go Out Of Style

Fashion Pieces That Will Never Go Out Of Style by Priti Sharma Fashion Pieces That Will Never Go Out Of Style 6 November 2022 FASHION Advertisement Our sense of style is quite individual to us; it's a fantastic and special method to showcase our personalities while being at ease and making a significant statement about who we are. However, maintaining a current wardrobe and feeling great in our outfits may be challenging in our ever-evolving society and trends. Yes, being current with fashion trends will keep you current, but every genuine fashionista understands that you must invest in a few timeless pieces if you want to stay in style. If you want to seem effortlessly put together, making purchases of wardrobe essentials is the way to go. Fear not, though; despite the constant influx of new fashion fads, there are a few timeless essentials that we can always rely on, no matter what the most recent trend may be. In addition to being fashionable, these kinds of clothes will make your outfits seem to be put together and prevent you from making impulsive purchases. Do you have any upcoming shopping or wardrobe updates? Here are a few timeless pieces of clothes that will always be in fashion: Black Skinny Jeans I am aware that Gen Z is at war with thin jeans. Mom jeans are also a great way to switch up your look. But nothing can match or take the place of a black pair of slim jeans for a timeless, polished appearance. They won't take attention away from your gorgeous face while still giving every body shape a wonderful, feminine silhouette. Dark skinnies have the advantage of being both dressy when paired with a lovely top and shoes and informal when worn with a tee and sneakers. Your trusty black skinny jeans will never fail you. Classic Heels One heel never goes out of style: the traditional pump. Other heels, such as strappy, clunky, lace-up, or platform heels, come and go. Sometimes all you need is a pair of timeless shoes to instantly dress up an ensemble. They instantly give us a bit more height, lengthen our legs, and are easy to put on and take off. Simple heels are always a good choice, whether you're wearing them with jeans, a pencil skirt, a pantsuit, or a fancy dress. A White V-Neck Tee Hear us out: Although this might sound simple (or perhaps too simple), we've discovered that less is frequently more when it comes to long-lasting wardrobe necessities. A white t-shirt can be worn with anything; you can dress it up by tucking it into a long skirt or be cool and casual by letting it dangle from your favorite shorts. White t-shirts aren't spectacular, but they're always a nice option and let other pieces stand out while serving as a wonderful foundation. A Little Black Dress The current flowery maxi dress trend that we see streaming across our feeds is easy to get sucked into and fascinated with, but the little black dress has never stopped being a timeless option that gives its user a feeling of mystery, elegance, and timelessness. Knowing you have an excellent choice for practically every event in your go-to LBD will always make those difficult selections simpler. A Chunky Pullover Sweater If you're going to remain warm, at least do it stylishly! Chunky sweaters are basic, uncomplicated garments that will always make us feel both put-together and appropriate for the season, from the moment the fall leaves start to change until the spring temperatures start to rise. A bulky sweater may look good whether you tuck it into a skirt and wear knee-high boots with it or wear it with your favorite pair of jeans. A Leather Jacket Thanks to leather jackets, even the most basic outfits may be spiced up in less than ten seconds. Additionally, the leather jacket looks great with nearly everything and there is a tonne of faux-leather alternatives available that feel much like genuine leather. Wear it to liven up an otherwise too plain ensemble of jeans and a t-shirt or pair it with a flowery, feminine dress to add some edge to your appearance. A Pea Coat Even though we have to bundle up during the colder months, we still want to appear stylish, right? Thankfully, there are several jackets available to select from, but the pea coat is unrivaled in terms of fashion and practicality. This coat matches any outfit, will never go out of style, gives you a classy look, and will genuinely keep you warm. It comes in an amazingly broad selection of colors (try red if you're feeling brave!). Changing fashion trends are possible. Yet, timeless clothing never goes out of style. It's always a good idea to invest in classic pieces of clothes since they make it easier for you to seem put together and well dressed. Just be careful to choose items that complement your body type and style preferences. #Fashion #Style #NeverGoOutOfStyle #LittleBlackDress #WhiteVneckTshirt #ClassicHeels #LeatherJacket SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape AiSPi Wanderlust Diaries: Marzook, L’Afshar, And A Fashion Bender In Mumbai 25 April 2025 FASHION By Anushka Uniyal Kiyaan Silver: Timeless Jewellery For Every Woman 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra The Shoe Faktory Success Story: Ishpreet Singh Gujral’s Bold Business Leap 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra From Reality TV To Real Success: Nibedita Paal’s Inspiring Story 27 March 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS
