Porsche is commemorating seven decades of its presence in the Middle East with the introduction of a highly exclusive, limited-edition model. Unveiled as the 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, this masterpiece is based on the latest 911 Turbo S (992.II generation) and will be exclusively available in Kuwait. Production of this special model is strictly limited to just 20 vehicles.
The brand's regional story began in 1956 when Morad Behbehani imported the very first Porsche sports car to the Middle East, which was a Porsche 356 Cabriolet. Seventy years later, the Behbehani Motors Company proudly remains the official Porsche importer for Kuwait. To honor this enduring legacy, the anniversary models are adorned with traditional Sadu patterns on both the exterior and interior. The intricate finishing touches for the vehicles are applied by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur department located in Zuffenhausen.
Al Sadu is a traditional form of wool weaving, distinguished by horizontal patterns that frequently utilize dark, bold colors alongside vibrant hues. Deeply rooted in the Arabian Peninsula, this artistic textile practice is one of the most prominent and enduring crafts in Kuwait. Recognized globally for its immense cultural significance, the practice of Sadu weaving was officially added to UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle showcases unparalleled bespoke craftsmanship:
The interior features a striking two-tone leather design in Black and Bordeaux Red, which is elegantly complemented by Lightsilver accents.
The upholstery showcases intricate, hand-stitched cross-stitch details in GT Silver and Bordeaux Red across the dashboard, doors, rear compartment, and center console.
The bespoke Sports Seat Plus is customized with a new Sadu pattern textile woven in the colors Bordeaux Red, Guards Red, GT Silver, and Black.
To commemorate the milestone, the vehicle headrests are embossed with '70 Years' in Arabic letters.
The black brushed aluminum door sill guards illuminate 20 white square elements, while the seventh square glows red to uniquely symbolize the 70 years of Porsche in Kuwait.
The cabin is further equipped with Silver Grey seat belts, a Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System, a digital tachometer in Black, and a Sports Chrono stopwatch.
The exterior seamlessly merges heritage with a sporty aesthetic. The vehicle is finished in a refined Cremewhite hue and is accented by a high-gloss Black SportDesign Package. The 20-inch and 21-inch Sport Classic wheels are specially painted in Cremewhite and high-gloss Black, featuring a colored Porsche Crest. A golden 'Turbo S Sadu Edition' badge graces both B-pillars, while the signature Sadu pattern is applied as a striking decal along the lower doors and the underside of the rear wing. Additionally, the car is equipped with an Exclusive Design Fuel Filler Cap, Titanium Sports Tailpipes, an electric slide and tilt glass sunroof, a front axle lifting system, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes featuring high-gloss black calipers.
For those seeking the ultimate personalized touch, owners can utilize the extensive Sonderwunsch program to request a Sadu pattern fabric lining for the front trunk or the glove box.
