- Not a beach body, but a fit body
Not a beach body, but a fit body by Raunak Singh Hooda Not a beach body, but a fit body 1 June 2021 LIFESTYLE Advertisement “A sound body keeps a sound mind.” We hear this saying so often around us, this is what our parents, school teachers, and elders tell us when they need to emphasize the importance of exercise in our lives. So let’s try to understand what this means. In today’s fast-paced world, where productivity and profit are given the highest priority, and general well-being takes a backseat in light of extreme capitalism, it is imperative that people become more aware of how their body functions, and why it is necessary to keep it fit. The first and foremost cause of physical deterioration of the body lies in the mental state of a person. With many social media platforms growing increasingly toxic, a large number of people today are facing mental health issues that are deep-rooted, and these are primarily hurting the physical well-being of these people. Exercise has been found to be one of the major protectors of a person’s mental well-being. Exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood, and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal. Lack of exercise also has a cause-effect relationship with obesity. A lack of proper exercise causes it, and a lack of proper exercise is also induced by it. In 2019, an estimated 38.2 million children under the age of five were found to be suffering from obesity. Why it is a problem is because raised BMI is a major risk factor for noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal disorders(especially osteoarthritis), and even some forms of cancer. Regular physical exercise increases people’s energy expenditure, which can help them stay in energy balance, and even lose weight, as long as they don’t overcompensate for the number of calories burned during the exercise period. Physical exercise also decreases the fat around the waist and total body fat, hence slowing down the advancement of abdominal obesity. Exercise also helps to lower the blood cholesterol levels, hence lowering chances of a heart attack. Physical exercise is also recommended by doctors due to the fact, that it influences the person and the body to form a habit. If a person decides to start exercising, it will naturally boost good hormones such as serotonin, which leaves them feeling better, and that leads to the mind automatically convincing the rest of the body to make a habit out of it, so that boosts in mood and energy can be experienced more often. Hence, fitness and exercise can really improve the quality of life of an individual, and following such a lifestyle may just be the deciding factor for a healthier and longer life. - Coping with Confinement
SOCIETY by Akash Khatri Coping with Confinement 26 July 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The earlier days of the pandemic caused a furore and great hullabulla. Great chaos everywhere, no school, no maids, work from home and still ambiguous about the situation ahead as we approach towards the end of lockdown four. During this whole topsy turvy journey gradually it seems we have become more human. A transition from a dependant to a more independent working – subtracting the maids and a more gadget-free atmosphere. During this whole transition period, I treasured dormant talent of my personality, as I could steal some time for trying out solo singing, penning down my thoughts to create short stories, experimenting in the kitchen and even nailed the unusual skill of giving men a haircut. Today I had lessons of stitching from my mom-in-law and found that it’s not that tedious and tricky as I had thought, of course, one needs to be lucky to have a good teacher beside you as my MIL is. I tried my hand on tailoring too, thanks to the lockdown. All and all it’s so much fun being indoors with family, doing crazy things and enjoying the nearness, attention as well as helping hand of the spouse. Above all, the level of tolerance has reached its acme and this habit I would always wish could be deep-rooted within me forever. At last, it took a microscopic-organism to make us more human. #LockdownPandemicIndependentConfinement SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? - Personal Growth And Relatability: Ishita Khanna's Key To Influencer Success
Personal Growth And Relatability: Ishita Khanna's Key To Influencer Success by Akshra Khandelwal Personal Growth And Relatability: Ishita Khanna's Key To Influencer Success 26 August 2023 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Ishita Khanna, a renowned digital content creator, has carved her own niche in the lifestyle and fashion space for over three years. In an exclusive interaction, we sat down with Ishita to deep dive into the world of content creation in an ever-evolving digital landscape, what drives her to create relatable content for audiences, lifestyle and grooming hacks, the importance of self-care and her approach to personal development. "Work's been incredible. If I talk about my typical work day, it has a lot of team huddles, meetings with brands/agencies, and ideating/scripting for future content and shoots," Ishita shares as she delves into the busy world of a lifestyle influencer. Her days are filled with brainstorming sessions and collaborations that allow her to craft content that resonates with her audience. As we settled in for our chat, we were eager to know more about Ishita's creative journey. "It's fascinating how life takes us on unexpected paths," she began. "In 2018, I started freelancing in social media and content roles, which eventually led me to work for a food blog. While creating videos for the blog, I rediscovered my passion for creative direction. That's when the idea of starting my own YouTube channel struck me like lightning!" Ishita's journey is a testament to the diverse backgrounds that lead one to digital content creation. "Despite my academic background – a postgraduate degree in financial economics and preparing full-time for the UPSC examinations – my heart has always been set on creative direction, filmmaking, editing, and digital media since my early school days," she revealed. Within three months of diving into full-time content creation on YouTube, Ishita gained a massive audience of over 100K subscribers. Her fashion, styling, and lifestyle content hit all the right notes with her viewers. Since then, she's been on a mission to create her own lane in the lifestyle and fashion digital content world. Her adventures have taken her across India and beyond, where she collaborates with brands she genuinely connects with. "I believe in unleashing the power of my visual language, creativity, and marketing to connect with audiences," Ishita shared passionately. "It's not just about my content; I want to give the brands I represent more visibility too." What sets Ishita's content apart is its relatability. Naturally, we were curious about her secret sauce for creating relatable content regularly. "Inspiration comes from everywhere," she said. "From recent travels to magazine archives, movies, and even my friends – they all contribute to my creative process. But the real magic lies in the women around me – my friends, family, and women in power. Their confidence and authenticity draw me in, and I strive to push the same energy into my online content." The most fulfilling part of being a creator, according to Ishita, is the heartfelt messages she receives from women who resonate with her posts. "When someone tells me that my content helped them find what works best for their body type or boosted their confidence in what they wear, it's truly heartwarming," she shared with a warm smile. Of course, with a hectic schedule, self-care becomes essential. Ishita's self-care rituals include her beloved cup of coffee and spending quality time with her furry friends. "My dogs are my stress-busters," she admitted. "But I also find joy in cycling, working out, and spending time with my friends – those little moments of bliss keep me balanced." In the realm of fashion, comfort is key for Ishita. "I've been all about comfort lately," she laughed. "Joggers or cargo pants paired with an oversized tee are my go-to fits. I believe you can look stylish without sacrificing comfort!" For aspiring creators looking to grow personally and professionally, Ishita has some golden advice. "Stay focused on your goals and treat every day like it's day one," she emphasised. "Collaborate with others, be open to feedback, and engage authentically with your audience. Stay curious and explore new creative avenues – that's the path to growth!" As our delightful conversation neared its end, we couldn't resist asking Ishita about her upcoming projects. "Exciting content pieces are in the works with brands and agencies," she revealed with a twinkle in her eye. "Keep your eyes peeled for more in the coming months!" Her journey teaches us the value of staying true to ourselves, finding inspiration in everyday moments, and embracing personal growth with open arms. Until next time, keep sipping your coffee and unleashing your creativity – just like Ishita! And we have saved you quite a lot of time by rounding off the top 10 Iceland tourist attractions for your first ever trip! So, let’s not waste any more time and find out the best places to visit in Iceland on your first trip. Vatnajökull Glacier: Remember the place where Elsa and her sister (from the Disney movie Frozen) lived? Well, if you do then this is one place that will leave you awestruck. Vatnajökull Glacier is a world made of ice. It is best known for its mystical caves that are constantly shifting their existence from one place to another. Thus, it is advisable for the first-time visitors to hire a guide before entering this winter wonderland. This maze-like formation is Europe’s largest glacier and also covers more than 8% of the entire area of the entire country. Soak yourself in the adventurous vibe of this place and do not forget to click pictures! Best time to visit: November to March (during this time, the ice caves are stable and that makes your tour better) Reykjavik : One of the most popular Iceland tourist places, Reykjavik takes the credit for its whale watching tours. Remember Keiko from Free Willy? Well, the killer whale was captured in a camera in a marine site close to Reykjavik. There is a 90% chance that you will get to spot the giant creature during a single tour in the middle of the ocean. The ride to whale watching usually starts from Reykjavik’s Old Harbour and lasts for about an hour or so. Once you see the magnificent creatures, do not forget to capture them in your cameras. Pssst… Here's a tip for you, go for the ringside seat to witness the amazing phenomenon. This place is also flushed with quaint cafes, vibrant bars, and stunning restaurants. Once you return from the tour, make sure to stop by at some of them and enjoy local food. You can also witness the splendid Northern Lights from this place. Best time to visit: June to September. However, you can go whale watching at any time of the year. Blue Lagoon Hot Spring : There are numerous hot springs across Iceland but none of them are as spectacular as the Blue Lagoon. Settled amid the fairy tale setting of silica mud and jet-black volcanic desert rocks, Blue Lagoon is a must-visit place for first time visitors. Being the most popular spa of Iceland, Blue Lagoon encompasses warm and healing water full of minerals of the ocean, silica mud, steam stacks, and soothing vibes. People can book their own premium packages at the time of visit to the spa. There are various five-star hotels standing in the vicinity that also provide special spa packages at the Lagoon. Most common among these is the Retreat Hotel Spa, which provides a complete luxury experience to people—private pool, cold well, steam room, personalized morning yoga class, water therapies and messages, etc. Best time to visit: All year round. Grundarfjordur: The fishing village of Grundarfjordur will make you fall in love at the first sight! The serene houses, summer folk festivals, and the striking view of Mt. Kirkjufell standing amid the awe-inspiring waterfalls and meandering streams are enough reasons for you to stop by at this little hamlet. Another reason to visit Grundarfjordur is the Eyrbyggja Heritage Centre, which regularly exhibits the oceanic history of the town in a beautiful way. Grundarfjordur is located at a distance of 3 hours from Reykjavik and outlines the north coast of Snaefellsnes peninsula . The peninsula has been nicknamed as ‘Iceland in miniature’ and is home to the glorious Snæfellsjökull glacier. This twin-peaked glacier is resplendently surrounded by lava fields and three coastlines as it sits on the peninsular tip of a volcano. Thus, this adds as another reason for visiting the beautiful village. Best time to visit: All year round. Lake Myvatn : Located close to Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland, Lake Myvatn is known for its mystical formation that comprises a treasure of gems and flora of moss balls. Nature lovers find themselves at ease near and around this lake. One can also spot both indigenous and exotic species of birds during summer season as they form various formations in a single flight above the lake area. Another thing that makes this lake quite exclusive is its incredible geology. When looked from a distance, one will notice that the lake is outlined by pseudo volcanic craters that make the water body look quite mysterious. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, then you must know that one of the most famous love scenes in the series was shot in this area. Grjótagjá hot spring is another major attraction found near this lake. It is carefully hidden in a cave in the lava field of Dimmuborgir. The field is so intense and sensational that it has come to be known as the Black Fortress. There are many other places to visit in this area. You will require a whole day to cover them all. Best time to visit: May to October Now that you know the best places to visit in Iceland to make your first trip memorable and one-of-a-kind, it’s about time that you booked your tickets to have an adventure of a lifetime! I stopped in front of Novotel Living Bangkok Sukhumvit Legacy —the glass doors glowed with quiet invitation, the kind of welcome that doesn’t need to announce itself. No velvet ropes or flashing signs, just a sense that this was a place made for living, not just staying. Inside, voices softened. The lobby offered air that felt clean and human. I checked in without fuss, handed a room key with a smile—no scripted fanfare, just warm acknowledgment. The scent of lemongrass lingered faintly, pressed into cushions and polished counters, as if someone had whispered, we’re glad you’re here. The room was spacious, well lit, and honest—woods warmed the corners, linen curtains filtered sunlight across the floor, and a corner kitchenette beckoned with promise. Here was room to unpack more than just a suitcase. The bed stood unassuming but confident, and I sank into it like a traveler who’s forgotten how to rest. Morning arrived gently. The breakfast area hummed with quiet conversation and steaming plates. Real eggs, smoky bacon, stir-fried greens, juicy fruit—everything felt as if it had been made just for this world before 8 a.m. The coffee came strong and unpretentious, delivered with a nod and a warmth that felt intentional. By midday, the pool area called. Not with Instagram appeal, but with simple pleasure—shallow water for kids laughing, sunlit tiles for lounging adults, and a breeze that cut through heat like fresh linen. A child’s shriek of joy echoed, a father leaned back with eyes closed, and for a moment, the city felt paused. In the early evening, I let the quiet follow me. The hotel doesn’t spin stories of glamour—they have no rooftop bar or cocktail hours—but what it offers is rest. A place to fold your itinerary into something gentler. When hunger came, I found friendly, modest dining downstairs—or stepped out to the street: market lights, street food, and BTS trains humming beyond the curtains. Evening settled in soft tones: the lobby lit in lamplight, the curtains drawn shut but breathing, the city’s hum nearby but distant. Sometimes I sat by the window, not watching anything in particular—just letting the hum of Bangkok absorb into me. What stays with you after a night here isn’t polished service, but meaningful gestures: the staff who learn your name, the quiet layout of the room, the feeling that this could be—just might be—a longer chapter, not just a stopover. That’s the subtle comfort of Novotel Living. When the morning of departure came, I didn’t check out. I paused at the door, took one last look, and said not farewell—but goodbye. And as I walked away, the city woke fully around me, but something about this place had shifted inside. That’s the gift Novotel Living gives: not escape from the journey, but a soft space to carry it forward. - Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour
Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour by Meenal Chand Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour 1 December 2020 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement With the adverse chaotic outburst of the nature we are witnessing and the trendy ‘local for vocal’, there’s no harm or I must say there’s more smartness in switching to sustainability. One thing that is much needed and should be updated is the fashion and clothing and if it’s in the good side without putting burden on the environment we live in what could be better than that? Advocating sustainable fashion, I must say clothing made from cotton ,jute etc would not only be eco friendly but it could give a big boost to the economy as well if one finds a way to make it more reasonable and classy. Infact, bigger brands have already started working on that and it’s more of a movement and process fostering change to fashion products and the fashion system towards greater ecological integrity and social justice. Sustainable fashion concerns more than just addressing fashion textiles or products. It comprises addressing the whole system of fashion. In pursuit of making considerable great amendments in the field and to seek divergence from same old fibres ,this could be a real helpful way! #ecofriendlyclothing #Fashion #sustainablefashion SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement
- Four Seasons Bangkok: Where The River Holds Its Breath
By Shriniwas Kodape By Shriniwas Kodape Four Seasons Bangkok: Where The River Holds Its Breath 17 September 2025 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement I’ve stayed in enough hotels to recognise when a place has nothing to prove. Four Seasons Bangkok is one of them. From the moment you step off the riverfront promenade into its courtyard, there’s a quiet assurance in the way it carries itself. No need for dramatic declarations or ornamental excess, just an effortless elegance that flows through every inch of the property. The Chao Phraya rolls by at its own unhurried pace, and the Four Seasons seems to take its cue from the water. There’s space here, not just in the architecture, but in the way it lets you breathe. The lobby is an embrace of warm light, polished stone, and subtle floral arrangements that feel placed for your eyes only. Every sightline is deliberate, every surface carrying the kind of texture that makes you want to run your hand across it. Rooms here aren’t just designed; they’re staged for living. Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the river inside, letting the daylight change the mood hour by hour. The materials are rich without being loud: soft fabrics, clean lines, and a colour palette that calms more than it commands. The bed seems built for slow mornings, and the kind of sleep that feels like a reset button. The dining, though, is where Four Seasons Bangkok truly leans into its personality. Food here is never an afterthought. Each restaurant has its own voice, its own rhythm, yet they all share an attention to craft that cannot be faked. Yu Ting Yuan, the hotel’s signature Michelin-recognized Cantonese restaurant, is a performance in precision with flavours layered with intention, each plate a study in restraint and detail. Riva del Fiume Ristorante brings an Italian sensibility to the riverfront, sunlit and relaxed, while Palmier by Guillaume Galliot offers French coastal charm with a contemporary edge. Even breakfast carries that quiet indulgence, turning the first meal of the day into an occasion worth lingering over. Service moves like good jazz, fluid, responsive, never out of tune. Staff seem to appear exactly when you need them, and vanish just as seamlessly. It is this rhythm that makes the stay feel less like being managed and more like being understood. And then there is the pool: long, linear, set against the river with just enough separation to make you feel part of the city without being swallowed by it. By day, it is a place to drift; by night, it becomes a reflective strip of light, mirroring the Bangkok skyline. Four Seasons Bangkok doesn’t chase your attention. It earns it. Not with noise or spectacle, but with an unwavering sense of place, a property that knows exactly what it is and delivers on it without hesitation. Here, the river holds its breath, and so do you, if only for a moment, before stepping back into the pulse of the city. - The Land Rover Defender Octa: A Beast With A Posh Postcode
The Land Rover Defender Octa: A Beast With A Posh Postcode By Shriniwas Kodape The Land Rover Defender Octa: A Beast With A Posh Postcode 3 June 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Picture a world where tanks decide they’ve had enough of war, swap their cannons for a 13.1-inch touchscreen, and sign up for rally school. That’s the Land Rover Defender Octa —a machine so ferociously capable it makes other SUVs look like they’re auditioning for a Prius convention. With a 626bhp V8 heart ripped straight from a BMW M car, this thing storms to 100km/h in four seconds flat, which is frankly absurd for something that looks like it could bench-press a small village. Land Rover claims it’s their most powerful Defender ever, a rugged aristocrat that laughs in the face of mud, mountains, and lesser 4x4s. But is it a genuine off-road titan, or just a Range Rover with an identity crisis? Dive into the Defender’s world to see what this beast is made of. The Octa’s design is a masterclass in blending grit with glamour, its boxy frame looming like a bouncer outside a Monte Carlo casino. Alpine light windows and a side-hinged tailgate nod to the Defender’s heritage , while sleek lines ensure it looks right at home in a Delhi penthouse garage or a Mayfair valet queue. Inside, exposed beams scream rugged, but the configurable centre console—tucking away your sunglasses or samosas like a magician’s trick—is pure sophistication. The optional front jump seat fits three, perfect for mates tagging along to a Sahara rally or an Alpine chalet. The Pivi Pro system’s 13.1-inch touchscreen serves up navigation and off-road data with the clarity of a five-star concierge. Add in premium leather that smells like money and storage for your adventure gear—think hiking boots or a cricket bat—and this cabin is ready for anything. Whether parked in Tokyo’s Ginza or Cape Town’s waterfront, the Octa’s style screams confidence, a rolling icon that demands attention wherever it roams. That 626bhp twin-turbo V8 roars like a lion that’s raided a coffee plantation, paired with an eight-speed gearbox smoother than a politician’s promise. The Active Locking Rear Differential and Yaw Controller make it carve corners like a Himalayan yak attempting a tango, defying its two-tonne bulk. It blitzes from 0-100km/h in four seconds, leaving supercars choking on dust from Autobahns to Himalayan trails. This isn’t just an SUV—it’s a rocket ship disguised as a 4x4, ready to outpace Porsches on coastal highways or claw up rocky ridges.Sprint through city streets like a Mumbai monsoon chase, or wrestle desert dunes like a Bedouin on a mission. It’s not cheap, but when you’re behind the wheel of a beast that makes lesser vehicles quiver, every penny feels like a ticket to glory. Explore its power in detail and you’ll see why it’s built for those who demand the extraordinary. The Octa doesn’t drive—it conquers, with 291mm ground clearance and angles (38, 28, 40 degrees) that laugh at cliffs. It wades through 900mm of water, from Amazon rivers to monsoon floods, with Terrain Response 2 tweaking settings for sand, snow, or mud like a seasoned explorer. ClearSight Ground View turns boulders into blips on the touchscreen, letting you navigate Arctic tundra or Rajasthan’s dunes like a pro. Yet, on tarmac, its suspension glides smoother than a private jet, making drives from Delhi to Jaipur or London to Edinburgh feel like a first-class lounge. Picture storming a Moroccan ridge at dawn, then rolling into a Dubai marina by dusk, passengers lounging in a cabin fit for a rock star’s entourage. The air suspension adjusts on the fly, soaking up potholes or lifting for rugged trails, while the 360-degree cameras make tight city parking a breeze. This adventure is redefined—check out its off-road prowess to see how it tames the wild with ease. For L’Utopia’s readers—Delhi’s urban elite or global tastemakers—the Defender Octa is a middle finger to the ordinary. It’s a status symbol that tackles mountains and dazzles at galas, as at home in Ladakh’s wilds as it is stealing the show in Paris. It laughs at potholes, shrugs off storms, and redefines what an SUV can be. From Sahara sands to Scottish moors, the Octa isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a lifestyle, a beast that makes the world your playground, and every journey a triumph. Whether you’re chasing horizons in the Outback or turning heads in Milan, this machine delivers a thrill that’s as raw as it is refined, a testament to Land Rover’s knack for building legends that rule both wilderness and city with swagger.
