  • The Icon of Minimalistic Fashion

The Icon of Minimalistic Fashion by Aparajita Jaiswal The Icon of Minimalistic Fashion 16 July 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement From a mediocre hat designer to one of the prime influences on American Fashion, Halston emerged as one of the greatest illustrators of minimalism and luxurious fashion. As halter necks still tend to be one of the greatest trends in fashion today, one shall go back to the 1970s when Halston gave the halter neck an upgrade with his luxurious touch. Surrounded with silk tranquillity, his halter dress which he designed for his closest one, Liza Minnelli gained immense amount of recognition. It was simple, classic, sophisticated in every way with a hint of luxury. In the most momentous fashion shows in the history of American Fashion, The Battle of Versailles, his victory marked the birth of an icon with his magic and gained gigantic fame. He was also notable for the diversity of race and culture in his models which represented his art. His work and closed affiliation with some of the renowned faces like Andy Warhol and Bianca Jagger brought him more recognition. Halston created a water-proof trench coat, expanding his brand across the country. As much as he liked to party at the Studio 54, he gave birth to Disco-Dressing and entered the world of shimmer in the form glitzy glam and sequined outfits. But nothing took take place of the glamour of the Halter, which was popularized across America. His appeal of sophisticated fashion comes from the fantastic choice of materials he used for his designs. From cashmere silk to shimmering satin, Halston had it all. The brand logo itself expressed Halston’s love for minimalism. If one watched the Netflix documentary “ Halston”, they could notice how he surrounded himself with minimalism, through his choice of dark colours in his house and his office furnished with red walls and glass. His day to day black outfits with long coats of mostly beige, expressed his monochromatic lifestyle. Growing a brand by creating vast varieties of products and lines can be very challenging, but Halston loved challenges. Beginning with dresses refining classy appeal, he introduced his monochromatic taste through a line of luxurious luggage, red carpets, aviators, bath robes, and what not. Eventually, He ended up selling his brand and his name to Norton Simon Inc. For which he was offered approximately 11 million dollars. He became the Creative Director of the brand he founded. Side by side, Halston became an addict of cocaine consumption because of his regular visit to Studio 54. He also faced relationship crisis the same time his business was steeply moving towards decline. A dialogue of Halston (Ewan McGregor) from the Netflix documentary, – “ I must be a real artist because I am a terrible businessman” – touches ones heart. Money brings fame, but it can also take away everything. Halston spent his last days driving to San Francisco, soon after he was tested positive for AIDS related lung cancer. After two years in Francisco, the world lost an iconic designer in March 1990. • 5 Ways to Always Look CLASSY

5 Ways to Always Look CLASSY by Tanvi Punia 5 Ways to Always Look CLASSY 16 July 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Classy style never goes out of fashion. It’s the biggest compliment when someone describes a person’s style as being classy. It’s definitely what everyone should strive to be. Classy style doesn’t always have to be boring as one can always incorporate classier trendy pieces into their looks. And of course, there’s so much more to being a classy person than just the way one looks. Here, the prime focus is just on how to look classy. Through this article, one can learn 5 easy ways to always look classy. So, let’s get started! Keep Clothes Pristine One should keep their clothes looking pristine and clean at all times. What is meant by this is that a person doesn’t always have to go out and spend hundreds of dollars getting really expensive clothes. Instead, even if the person is wearing something that’s relatively cheaper and they present themselves well and wear them right, they can make for a very classy outfit. One should always have their clothes crease-free. Balance the Outfits One can limit the amount of skin they show by not showing too much skin everywhere. Well, it is completely okay to wear something slightly revealing but the rule that most people like to go by is to balance it out. So, if a person is wearing something slightly revealing on the top, they can balance it out with something a bit more conservative on the bottom such as pants that can cover their legs. One can also wear skinny fit and show off their figure but it is much classier to cover up the bottom half and vice versa. Minimal and Natural Make-up Obviously, everyone would still do a few things to enhance their looks but one should not go overboard. With make-up, the three things to focus on would be the skin, eyebrows, and eyelashes. Everyone’s skin should always look nice and clean. There’s nothing worse than a cakey foundation look. In this day and age, everyone is going for a more natural, glowy look so lighter make-up should be preferred. Eyebrows definitely frame one’s face. If someone has messy eyebrows, no matter how nice their clothes or hair are, their face won’t look put together. As soon as they’ll have nice and tidy eyebrows, it will enhance their overall look. Wear Dainty Jewellery With everyday jewellery, it is always classier to go with dainty jewellery that looks high-quality. One can even wear them in the shower and not worry about them getting tarnished. So, having a few pieces that are really dainty and of good quality would last through the years and would definitely give a classier look overall. Wear Comfortable Clothes There’s nothing classy about wearing something uncomfortable and constantly keep adjusting. It’s a sure thing that everyone would have experienced these clothes that look really beautiful but are a bit uncomfortable. It just makes them look not very confident with themselves and this constant fidgeting is just not classy. So, one should choose their clothing items very consciously. So, these were the 5 ways of always looking classy. Incorporating them into daily life can make anyone look classy! • Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows

Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows by Priti Sharma Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows 12 December 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Similar to art, fashion shows and editorials are meant to elicit discussion. I may not always agree with the idea because it is frequently absurd and outrageous! The objective is to adapt one style element to your own style. The suit is not intended to be worn from head to toe. Fashion shows are crucial since they present the newest trends for the season. They serve as a moving gallery and a style icon for quick clothes retailers who copy high fashion. Instead, a fashion show is an opportunity for a designer to showcase a specific aesthetic, mood, feel or point of view. As a result, fashion shows can tend to be more conceptual and focused on a higher level idea. Designers can display their creative ideas for garments during fashion shows. Future modifications to what individuals wear may result from this. Since they have been included in fashion shows for a number of years, men wearing skirts are now considered acceptable attire. Fashion shows are hugely significant in the worlds of fashion and modeling. Their acceptance has grown quickly, making them one of the major fashion events. The most important aspect of many fashion designers' careers is participating in fashion shows. But what's even more crucial for these exhibitions is that fashion designers can showcase their work and skill. They can develop cooperative partnerships and entice as many clients or business partners as they can this way. Pret-a-Porter & Haute Couture — At a fashion show, models walk the catwalk to display a designer's newest collections. Fashions from pret-a-porter and haute couture are distinguished from one another. Haute couture literally translates as high-end tailoring and has French origins. Haute couture is a term used to describe lavish, distinctive, and high-quality fashion designs. The opulent sets, which feature choreography in the Busby Berkeley style set in magical woods and space-age discos, are as lavish as the outfits, which are adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls. The twice-yearly couture presentations, which are presently being held in Paris, are unquestionable quite the spectacle. The costs are equally astounding as the dresses: a made-to-measure ballgown may easily cost as much as a Rolls-Royce, while a blouse would cost as much as a Madrid flat. Which begs the question: what is the point of couture if relatively few people would spend six figures on a dress? Similar to how automakers flaunt their technological prowess by building supercars, fashion designers utilize couture as a demonstration of their power and technical prowess. The Chambre de Commerce & d'Industrie de Paris carefully regulate entry to the calendar; in order to become a couture designer, fashion businesses must adhere to severe criteria, including having a Paris-based studio with more than 20 employees. The most absurd ideas from a designer are displayed in couture, where there are no financial restrictions on aspiration. Additionally, it displays financial strength. For instance, Versace nearly went out of business during the early 2000s recession and discontinued presenting couture for eight years. When it returned to schedule, in 2012, the brand was perceived as being back in rude health. In short, couture designers are the creme de la creme; fashion’s richest, most accomplished top dogs. Mid-century France was where haute couture first appeared. Charles Frederick Worth, the so-called founding father, was the first to sell custom-made, high-end clothing manufactured to his own designs. Up until that point, made-to-measure clothes has only ever been created with the customer's preferences in mind. The fashion business saw a transformation because to Worth. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne then came together; this group still governs haute couture and today refers to itself as a fashion association. The designer may only showcase his haute couture line under this genre at the couture presentations of the Fashion Weeks if this committee approves the collection of his designer label. The point of couture is clear: it’s all about glory, pizzazz, and the bottom line. #FashionShow #Fashion #Couture #Glamour #Models #Designers #FashionWeek SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Sakshi Shah Emporio Armani SS26 Is What Effortless Actually Looks Like Right Now 13 April 2026 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Max Fashion Turns 20 At Lakmé Fashion Week, In A Showcase That Felt Instinctive 7 April 2026 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Inside Lakmé Fashion Week: Triune By Prasoon Sharma Presents Fragile Dreams 2 April 2026 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Inside Gen Next At Lakmé Fashion Week: A Showcase Led By Saim 31 March 2026 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement

Consider it a true masterpiece in the world of fine jewellery. Spotlight On The Showstoppers Necklace, 1955 Platinum, diamonds and turquoise—definitely something Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn would wear while sipping champagne. • Top 10 Beaches In The World- All About Serenity & Tan

by Priti Sharma TRAVEL Top 10 Beaches In The World- All About Serenity & Tan by Priti Sharma 14 February 2023 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The globe is genuinely home to an incredible variety of magnificent beaches, each more breathtaking than the last, whether they are gifted with blindingly dazzling white sands or situated in the most exquisite setting possible. Some of them are located in the center of well-known cities, while others are hidden away on tropical islands or deep within national parks. These stunning beaches must be seen to be believed, whether they are surrounded by striking rock formations, rocky cliffs, or softly swaying palm palms. 10. Navagio Beach Navagio Beach and the bright blue seas that surround it surely present a stunning image, framed by dazzling white limestone cliffs that tower above its sandy coastline. The stunning beach, which is one of the most picturesque natural settings in all of Greece, lies on the Ionian Island of Zakynthos and is frequently featured in tourist publications. Ironically, Navagio Beach is only reachable by boat and is known as "Shipwreck Beach" due to the rusted wreckage of a ship that lays on its beaches. The beauty gets better and better as you get closer as you skim through the glistening waves towards the hidden cove. 9. The Baths The Baths are located on Virgin Gorda, the third-largest island of the British Virgin Islands, at its southernmost point. On the beach, massive granite stones are piled up and form stunning tunnels and grottoes that are open to the sea and flood during high tide. The striking impact is enhanced by the tropical palms that line the sandy beaches. 8. Tapuaetai A tiny islet in the Cook Islands' Aitutaki atoll is called Tapuaetai (One Foot Island). The Aitutaki lagoon is beautifully visible from there, and depending on the tide, you may stroll on a sandbank some distance away from Tapuaetai. At the World Travel Awards held in Sydney in June 2008, the beach received the title of "Australasia's Leading Beach." 7. Zlatni Rat Zlatni Rat, also known as the "Golden Horn," projects into the Adriatic and varies in length and shape with the wind, tide, and current. The serene port town of Bol is only a short distance from the white pebble beach, which is situated on the south shore of the Island of Brac. Due to its breathtaking surroundings and glistening turquoise seas, Zlatni Rat is one of Croatia's most well-known tourist sites and frequently appears on the covers of travel publications from all over the world. It was ranked among the top ten beaches in the world by Lonely Planet in 2009. 6. Oludeniz Oludeniz, a beach in southwest Turkey with the charmingly called Turquoise Coast, is becoming a more well-known destination as news of its enormous attractions spreads. Oludeniz, which means "dead sea," is home to some outstanding snorkeling and scuba diving because of its tranquil, clear waters and amazing marine life. Even while its large sandy beach is great for lounging, the stunning surroundings are worth investigating. The legendary "Blue Lagoon," surrounded by stunning mountains, is a must-see, and many tourists parachute down to enjoy the aerial view of the beach. 5. Trunk Bay On St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Trunk Bay is a beach that is part of a National Park. The National Geographic Society named it one of the world's most beautiful beaches, drawing throngs of cruise ship tourists. The beach's amenities include a snack bar, bathrooms and showers, a lifeguard, and—most famously—a coral reef snorkeling route. 4. Maya Bay Since having shot to fame in the 1999 film The Beach, Maya Bay in Thailand has been one of the most sought-after beaches in the world. Such was its popularity, however, that Thai authorities had to shut the beach in 2018 and limit the number of visitors to 2,000 a day to help protect and preserve the environment. Surrounded and sheltered by towering limestone cliffs, Maya Bay’s white sand beach and inviting waters make for one of the most stunning settings imaginable. Located on the island of Ko Phi Phi Le, which lies in the Andaman Sea, Maya Bay is a treat to visit. Visitors can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving around the bay. 3. Whitehaven Beach It is simple to see why Whitehaven Beach in Queensland, Australia, is often listed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It spans about seven kilometers, with magnificent turquoise seas around its isolated bays and lagoons. It is home to some of the cleanest beaches on Earth. The beach receives comparatively few tourists as a result of its isolated position in the Whitsunday Islands. With no one else in sight, you may relax on the sand, go kayaking, or have a BBQ. Whitehaven Beach is located in the center of the Great Barrier Reef and is only reachable by seaplane, helicopter, or boat. 2. Tulum Tulum, which is located on Mexico's Caribbean coast, is home to one of the best-preserved Mayan ruins in the nation as well as one of its greatest beaches. The Mayan city of Coba originally used it as its main port. Tulum lacks the beauty of certain other well-known locations since it was constructed about 1200 AD when the Mayan civilization was already in decline. However, the backdrop of a tropical beach makes this one of Mexico's busiest tourist spots and a photographer or artist's paradise. 1. Anse Source D'Argent Anse Source D'Argent distinguishes out from the pack among the gorgeous and opulent beach resorts that Seychelles is known for. It is situated on the island of La Digue and is one of the most well-publicized beaches in the world. Anse Source D'Argent, is one of the best beaches in the world, with a winning combination of pink sand beaches, coconut palms, and big granite rocks dotting the coastline. It truly is an island paradise unmatched by any other, with the warm seas of the Indian Ocean lapping at its shores, clean and unspoiled nature all about you, and exotic birds fluttering overhead. • Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance

Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance By Anushka Sharma Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance 11 September 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Dubai Fashion Week 2024 witnessed a breathtaking intersection of art, architecture, and fashion with the debut of Anaya Collection’s latest couture line, "Gaudí's Reverie," for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. Opening Couture Day 3 of this prestigious event, Anaya captivated attendees with a stunning presentation inspired by the genius of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. The collection, titled “Gaudí's Reverie,” is a vivid homage to the artist’s philosophy of love, technique, and boundless creativity. Gaudí, celebrated for his fusion of organic forms with intricate artistry, has long been a source of fascination for creatives across disciplines. For Chathuri, the creative director of Anaya Collection, this admiration was deeply personal. “To do things right, first you need love, then technique,” a famous Gaudí quote, resonated powerfully with her when she visited the Sagrada Familia museum in Barcelona. This sentiment became the foundation of the collection, where love and precision merge to create garments that are as emotionally moving as they are technically flawless. Reflecting on Gaudí’s visionary approach to blending nature with art, "Gaudí's Reverie" draws inspiration from the architect's signature use of organic forms, vibrant mosaics, and dynamic color palettes. The collection's journey into the whimsical and sublime brings Gaudí’s ethos to life, offering an exquisite visual narrative woven with fabrics, textures, and colors that mimic the bold creativity of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces like Park Güell and Casa Batlló. Chathuri explained the profound impact of Gaudí’s work on the Anaya design process, emphasizing how his philosophy aligns with the brand's values. “Our designs are born out of love, but they are brought to life through technique,” she said. This seamless connection between the emotional and technical elements of design is evident in the craftsmanship behind each piece in the collection. A Celebration of Gaudí’s Artistic Vision The collection is a vibrant homage to Gaudí's artistic mastery, where every detail—down to the last bead—mirrors the architect’s celebrated style. Surfaces are adorned with intricate hand embroidery and beading, reminiscent of the colorful mosaics that define Gaudí’s works. Fabrics such as glass organza and double-weave satins are carefully manipulated to mimic nature-inspired motifs, a nod to Gaudí’s ability to draw beauty from the organic world. The craftsmanship extends to the use of hand-dyed ombré beaded tulles and fabric draping techniques that resemble the dynamic movement of Gaudí’s forms. Particularly striking is the incorporation of 3D draping, laser cutting, and ombré color dyeing, which pay tribute to the architectural layers and the unique interplay of light and shadow that Gaudí so masterfully achieved in his buildings. Each piece of the collection embodies the spirit of his work, combining joyful vibrancy with profound attention to detail. The vibrant color palette, ranging from earthy tones to bright hues, echoes the mosaic artistry of Park Güell and the sweeping forms of Casa Batlló. The collection’s silhouettes, which are fluid and dynamic, exude a sense of playful freedom—a quality that defines both Gaudí’s architecture and the ethos of Anaya Collection. These garments are not just fashion pieces; they are living, breathing artworks that invite the wearer to experience the world through Gaudí’s imaginative lens. Anaya’s Homage to the Childlike Wonder of Creation “Gaudí's Reverie” delves deep into the childlike wonder and unbounded creativity that defined much of Gaudí’s work. This theme of exploration, where imagination reigns supreme, is infused throughout the collection. The silhouettes, much like the undulating forms of Gaudí’s architecture, are fluid, joyful, and uninhibited. From whimsical, voluminous gowns to structured yet flowing pieces, each design encourages the modern-day power woman to embrace her own sense of wonder and creativity. The collection also celebrates the vibrant energy of contemporary femininity. Designed for the woman who is both playful and powerful, these garments are more than just beautiful; they represent freedom, strength, and individuality. “Gaudí's Reverie” reminds us that fashion, much like architecture, can be a medium for storytelling, where garments transcend the material to evoke emotional and sensory experiences. An Unforgettable Experience at Dubai Fashion Week The debut of "Gaudí's Reverie" marked a standout moment at Dubai Fashion Week. The collection not only showcased Chathuri’s deep admiration for Gaudí’s work but also highlighted the designer’s extraordinary ability to translate architectural brilliance into couture fashion. The Anaya Collection’s presentation left the audience mesmerized, with each look a testament to the marriage of love and technique that Gaudí so championed. Opening Couture Day 3 on the 3rd of September, 2024, at 6 PM, Anaya Collection created an unforgettable fusion of fashion and architecture. The show was a true celebration of artistry, creativity, and the timeless beauty of Gaudí’s legacy. As attendees witnessed the collection's unveiling, they were invited to step into a world where the boundaries between fashion, architecture, and art dissolved, allowing love, imagination, and technique to reign supreme. Jellybean Row refers to the row of colorful homes in Saint John's downtown. According to legend, residents of Saint John's used to paint their homes in vivid hues to maintain their attractiveness even during foggy conditions. Every house on the street is painted a different color, as you can see. Your trip on the city's walking tour will undoubtedly be one you never forget. 2. Chefchaouen, Morocco: Due to its isolation, the Blue City of Morocco has been cut off from the outside world for over a millennium. But why is it that color? Depending on who you ask, there are several explanations for why the Moroccan town of Chefchaouen is blue. Some claim that it is because of Jewish mysticism, while others assert that the blue tones are a naturally occurring mosquito repellant since they are found in the hills where the town was established. Chefchaouen is one of the world's most colorful towns, regardless of why it is blue. 3. Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, South Africa: Bo-Kaap in Cape Town has a vivid past. The Dutch brought many slaves to Cape Town throughout the 16th and 17th centuries from Malaysia, Indonesia, and various African nations. The enslaved were referred to as "Cape Malays." Several homes were constructed in this region in about 1760 and leased to the slaves. Later, the former slaves acquired the homes and painted them in vivid hues to symbolize their joy and liberation. Cape Town's Bo-Kaap neighborhood is situated at the base of Signal Hill and is rich in history and color. This residential neighborhood is well known for its vividly colored homes and winding pathways made of cobblestones. These residences showcase a fusion of Georgian and Dutch architectural designs. 4. Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India: The second-largest city in Rajasthan, India, is Jodhpur, popularly referred to as "The Blue City." The vibrant blue-washed homes in the old town are the source of the city's name. India was decades ahead of Morocco from one blue town to the next, despite the fact that Jodhpur's blue colors had a less than happy history. Electric blue buildings were historically designated for the "higher classes" and were originally painted as a part of the caste system. The custom, however, gradually spread across the town, turning the ruins of the cobalt buildings into a genuine tourist destination as well as a useful remedy for the oppressive heat. 5. Willemstad, Curacao The capital city of Curacao, Willemstad, is renowned for being a city with a rich cultural legacy. Rich in history, both public and private structures exhibit vibrant and often very beautiful architecture. In fact, the city is home to 750 vibrant structures in all. Historic structures may be found throughout Willemstad, many of which are notable for their use of Dutch architectural design. These beautiful, colorful structures, which date to the 17th century, draw hundreds of visitors each year. 6. Burano, Venice, Italy: Burano's multicoloured mansions have an intriguing truth. In the past, Burano's primary source of revenue was fishing. The fisherman had trouble identifying their cottages throughout the winter due to the dense fog. So they made the decision to paint their homes a variety of hues. The coloring custom in Burano is thought to have begun as a result of this occurrence. Today, you can notice that Burano's houses have a specific color scheme. In Burano, there is a clearly laid out procedure for painting homes. Let's say you live in the village and enjoy painting your house. Sending the government a formal request should be your first step. They will notify you which color you are permitted to paint your home. Interesting right? 7. Busan, South Korea The Gamcheon cultural hamlet is the main reason to place Busan at the top of your bucket list for Korea, despite the fact that it nearly often takes a back seat to Seoul. One of the most "Instagrammable" locations on the Korean peninsula, and maybe the whole globe, is a hillside covered in vibrant dwellings that people frequently compare to stacked legos. If this is on your trip wish list, you must visit it. 8. Santorini, Greece: Two colors are likely to spring to mind when you think of the Greek island of Santorini: white, which is the color of many buildings' walls, and blue, which also serves as the color of the island's dazzling Ionian Sea and many of its roofs. The city of Oia's building facades really contain a variety of other hues, but because the blues and whites are so striking, it's simple to get distracted by them. Take your photos on a clear day at dusk, when the prismatic sky sheds its brilliant light over the darkening metropolis, to fully enjoy Oia's beautiful rainbow. These were a handful of the ones we chose, and we're confident they'll make you grin. Make it a point to visit these locations, and prepare to be surrounded by every color of the rainbow. • Winter – Take Care

Winter – Take Care by Akash Khatri Winter – Take Care 9 January 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The chilly season is back and now is the time to take extra care of your skin. Lack of nourishment can lead to dull, pale and dry skin. Winter weather affects all skin types. Some basics to keep your skin radiant and glowing: MOISTURISE Keep your skin hydrated! The cold winter air pulls moisture from your skin leaving it dry and itchy. Protect the natural oils by using a ceramide-rich cream. Try moisturizers with added vitamin C or vitamin E. For added protection, slip on socks or gloves to help the cream soak in better. A thermostat might suck in the hydration causing dry air which is bad for your skin, use a humidifier to add the moisture back. Hydrate We tend to not feel much thirsty during the cold but our body loses water in so many ways. Keep your body stocked with fluids to avoid the dullness. Health experts recommend drinking at least half a gallon a day. Sweater itch Winter skin is fragile, avoid materials that tend to irritate you as they may result in rashes. If you feel itchy, wear a cotton t-shirt underneath or use softer materials such as cashmere or fleece. Prefer lighter fabrics to synthetic ones. Use lukewarm water Hot water leaves our skin dry and flaky as it washes away the natural hydrating oils. Use lukewarm water, it helps loosen the dirt and also avoids the irritation. Try cutting down on shower time and temperature too, avoid the long hot tempting showers. Change your skincare A light moisturizing lotion might have been sufficient during the sunny summer days but it won’t do any good in the harsh winters. Use heavy rich creams with ingredients such as botanical oil, hyaluronic acid, glycerine, niacinamide and bakuchiol . Though the warm winter sun feels good but the UV rays are still harmful, use a good SPF sunscreen with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. Avoid products that contain alcohol as they make your skin dry. Try overnight masks. Layer using a toner, serum and facial oils such as virgin coconut oil or grapeseed oil. • A Soirée In Satin: Maison Amory’s AW Reverie

A Soirée In Satin: Maison Amory’s AW Reverie By Ananya Patankar A Soirée In Satin: Maison Amory’s AW Reverie 12 July 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement From L.A. Soirées to Bangkok Showcase Founded in Los Angeles, Maison Amory is known for its romantic ethos. Previously celebrated for their Resort 2025 ‘Soirée’—a homage to intimate celebrations with vintage silhouettes, evening tones, fur trims, and sequins—this latest AW ’25–26 collection continues that narrative with a refined elegance Beneath the soft glow of the runway, Maison Amory revealed its Autumn/Winter 2025–26 collection in a display of signature restraint and elegance. Known for their romantic silhouettes and vintage glamour, the Los Angeles-based label transitioned seamlessly from resort-ready charm to seasonal sophistication. The collection was a quiet spectacle—sequins catching the light like memories, fur trims framing modern classics—anchored in the label’s signature elegance and designed for evenings that linger longer than the night. Maison Amory is a label rooted in romanticism, with a distinctly West Coast lens. Hailing from Los Angeles, the brand has become synonymous with refined silhouettes, vintage flourishes, and a quiet glamour. Their recent Resort 2025 collection, titled Soirée, was an ode to holiday traditions and intimate celebrations—think sequins, fur trims, and moonlit hues. That same spirit carries into their Autumn/Winter ’25–26 edit, where timeless evening wear meets the cool sophistication of seasonal dressing. For Maison Amory, every piece feels like a memory in motion—made to be worn, remembered, and revisited. Maison Amory’s Autumn/Winter ’25–26 collection is an ode to after-dark elegance—where glamour lingers in the details and every look feels like a soft-spoken celebration. Silhouettes embrace vintage nostalgia: where cinched waists, full skirts, draped sleeves, meet dramatic cape coats. There’s a poised restraint in the tailoring, balanced by rich textures and embellishments that catch the light. Velvet—plush and weighty—anchors the collection, appearing in gowns, outerwear, and even delicately piped blouses. Dark sequins lend understated sparkle, while fur details at the collar and cuffs elevate each look with timeless refinement. Satin and jacquard weave throughout, offering structure and sheen in equal measure. The hues suggest a slow-fading dusk—moody and rich, yet delicately lit with hints of candlelight and vintage cream. It’s a wardrobe crafted for intimate occasions—holiday dinners, winter galas, or quiet nights that deserve to feel special. Each ensemble walks the line between timeless and contemporary, with separates that lend themselves to layering and long gowns that speak of storybook elegance. Maison Amory’s ability to distill sentiment into silhouette is what makes this collection more than seasonal fashion—it becomes a winter memory, worn in motion. Set against the high arches and ambient lighting of Bangkok’s Benedict Studio, Maison Amory’s runway show felt like stepping into a private soiree. Thailand Fashion Week , increasingly and global platform for emerging and established designers, offered the perfect stage for the label’s refined storytelling. The audience, an elegant mix of press, stylists, and Southeast Asia's fashion insiders, watched in near reverence as each look unfolded. Unlike louder, trend chasing spectacles, this presentation was quietly confident, inviting viewers to slow down and take in the craftsmanship. In a region balancing tradition with modern luxury, Amory’s aesthetic struck a resonant, romantic chord. The collection speaks to the modern woman who dresses with intention—balancing elegance with longevity. Designed for climates that transition gently into cooler months, the pieces layer effortlessly: capes over gowns, sequined separates under tailored coats. This makes the collection especially resonant across Asian markets, where festive dressing often meets subtle seasonal shifts. With its investment-worthy quality and timeless aesthetic, the line caters to a clientele that values craftsmanship over trend. In Amory’s world, evening wear isn’t occasional—it’s essential. Each piece is built to outlast seasons, serving as heirloom staples for wardrobes that dress up with purpose. Maison Amory’s AW ’25–26 offering isn’t just a collection—it’s a quiet manifesto of modern romance, where elegance isn’t seasonal, it’s eternal.
