  • Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance

Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance By Anushka Sharma Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance 11 September 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Dubai Fashion Week 2024 witnessed a breathtaking intersection of art, architecture, and fashion with the debut of Anaya Collection’s latest couture line, "Gaudí's Reverie," for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. Opening Couture Day 3 of this prestigious event, Anaya captivated attendees with a stunning presentation inspired by the genius of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. The collection, titled “Gaudí's Reverie,” is a vivid homage to the artist’s philosophy of love, technique, and boundless creativity. Gaudí, celebrated for his fusion of organic forms with intricate artistry, has long been a source of fascination for creatives across disciplines. For Chathuri, the creative director of Anaya Collection, this admiration was deeply personal. “To do things right, first you need love, then technique,” a famous Gaudí quote, resonated powerfully with her when she visited the Sagrada Familia museum in Barcelona. This sentiment became the foundation of the collection, where love and precision merge to create garments that are as emotionally moving as they are technically flawless. Reflecting on Gaudí’s visionary approach to blending nature with art, "Gaudí's Reverie" draws inspiration from the architect's signature use of organic forms, vibrant mosaics, and dynamic color palettes. The collection's journey into the whimsical and sublime brings Gaudí’s ethos to life, offering an exquisite visual narrative woven with fabrics, textures, and colors that mimic the bold creativity of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces like Park Güell and Casa Batlló. Chathuri explained the profound impact of Gaudí’s work on the Anaya design process, emphasizing how his philosophy aligns with the brand's values. “Our designs are born out of love, but they are brought to life through technique,” she said. This seamless connection between the emotional and technical elements of design is evident in the craftsmanship behind each piece in the collection. A Celebration of Gaudí’s Artistic Vision The collection is a vibrant homage to Gaudí's artistic mastery, where every detail—down to the last bead—mirrors the architect’s celebrated style. Surfaces are adorned with intricate hand embroidery and beading, reminiscent of the colorful mosaics that define Gaudí’s works. Fabrics such as glass organza and double-weave satins are carefully manipulated to mimic nature-inspired motifs, a nod to Gaudí’s ability to draw beauty from the organic world. The craftsmanship extends to the use of hand-dyed ombré beaded tulles and fabric draping techniques that resemble the dynamic movement of Gaudí’s forms. Particularly striking is the incorporation of 3D draping, laser cutting, and ombré color dyeing, which pay tribute to the architectural layers and the unique interplay of light and shadow that Gaudí so masterfully achieved in his buildings. Each piece of the collection embodies the spirit of his work, combining joyful vibrancy with profound attention to detail. The vibrant color palette, ranging from earthy tones to bright hues, echoes the mosaic artistry of Park Güell and the sweeping forms of Casa Batlló. The collection’s silhouettes, which are fluid and dynamic, exude a sense of playful freedom—a quality that defines both Gaudí’s architecture and the ethos of Anaya Collection. These garments are not just fashion pieces; they are living, breathing artworks that invite the wearer to experience the world through Gaudí’s imaginative lens. Anaya’s Homage to the Childlike Wonder of Creation “Gaudí's Reverie” delves deep into the childlike wonder and unbounded creativity that defined much of Gaudí’s work. This theme of exploration, where imagination reigns supreme, is infused throughout the collection. The silhouettes, much like the undulating forms of Gaudí’s architecture, are fluid, joyful, and uninhibited. From whimsical, voluminous gowns to structured yet flowing pieces, each design encourages the modern-day power woman to embrace her own sense of wonder and creativity. The collection also celebrates the vibrant energy of contemporary femininity. Designed for the woman who is both playful and powerful, these garments are more than just beautiful; they represent freedom, strength, and individuality. “Gaudí's Reverie” reminds us that fashion, much like architecture, can be a medium for storytelling, where garments transcend the material to evoke emotional and sensory experiences. An Unforgettable Experience at Dubai Fashion Week The debut of "Gaudí's Reverie" marked a standout moment at Dubai Fashion Week. The collection not only showcased Chathuri’s deep admiration for Gaudí’s work but also highlighted the designer’s extraordinary ability to translate architectural brilliance into couture fashion. The Anaya Collection’s presentation left the audience mesmerized, with each look a testament to the marriage of love and technique that Gaudí so championed. Opening Couture Day 3 on the 3rd of September, 2024, at 6 PM, Anaya Collection created an unforgettable fusion of fashion and architecture. The show was a true celebration of artistry, creativity, and the timeless beauty of Gaudí’s legacy. As attendees witnessed the collection's unveiling, they were invited to step into a world where the boundaries between fashion, architecture, and art dissolved, allowing love, imagination, and technique to reign supreme. • The City Beneath My Feet: A Night At Lebua State Tower, Bangkok

By Shrinivas Kodape By Shrinivas Kodape The City Beneath My Feet: A Night At Lebua State Tower, Bangkok 16 July 2025 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Bangkok doesn’t knock. It barges in. It sits on your chest, hot and loud, smelling of diesel, grilled meat, and somebody else’s sweat. And yet somehow, you miss it before you even leave. But Lebua — that’s something else entirely.Lebua doesn’t knock either. It pulls you in, wordlessly. Hands you a keycard. Presses a button. And in thirty seconds, you’re no longer in Bangkok. You’re above it. The room was oversized — almost rude in its generosity. A living room with couches I’d never sit on. A bathroom with mirrors that didn’t lie. A minibar that judged me a little. I tossed my bag somewhere near the corner and walked straight to the balcony — because that’s where the real welcome lives. From 64 floors up, Bangkok looks calm. Contained. Like the whole city has been shrink-wrapped for your viewing pleasure. The Chao Phraya River shimmered like it had secrets. Roads below pulsed like veins. And for a moment, it felt like everything I’d been running from couldn’t reach me up here. I lit a cigarette and leaned over the railing, the wind catching my collar like an old friend. And it hit me — not in some dramatic, Instagram-caption way. But quietly. That I was here. Really here . In a city that never cared whether you arrived or not. Lebua’s not pretending to be part of the city. It’s a floating kingdom. A palace for the curious, the hungry, the ones who land in new countries not for the monuments, but for the moments between. And up here, moments hit differently. I wandered upstairs. Not in search of anything — just chasing curiosity through elevators and glowing corridors. Lebua doesn’t just have restaurants. It has experiences disguised as meals . Bridges that feel like dreams. Cocktails with names you won’t remember, but flavors you’ll think about for weeks. I won’t spoil it — there’s another story for that. But let’s just say, I tasted something that reminded me of Saigon. And something else that made me forget where I was completely. Dinner? Not dinner. A ritual . And later, another bar. And another view. Bangkok still down there — snarling, laughing, eating, moving. Unbothered. I came back to the suite at some ungodly hour. Kicked off my shoes. Left the balcony doors open so I could sleep with the city noise filtered through altitude. Not silence. Just distance. I woke up with the sun hitting my face and the skyline whispering things I couldn’t translate. I made coffee in a robe too soft for someone like me, and watched boats slice through the river like time-lapse scars. It was just another Thursday. But also, not. Because for one night, I didn’t just stay in Bangkok. I hovered above it. Drank with it. Listened to it breathe. And let it remind me — without words — why we travel in the first place. Not to escape the noise. But to feel it all , and still find peace somewhere in between. Editor’s Note: Lebua’s food and beverage story — where sky meets plate and cocktails dare you to feel something — will be covered in full in our next issue. From cocktails at Sky Bar to suites perched in the Lebua Hotels experience, the journey floats far above the city’s chaos. This was just the beginning. No frills. No filters. Just the truth, served raw. • Wine Tasting Is An Art

by Akash Khatri Wine Tasting Is An Art 7 July 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement “Wine gets better with age & I get better with wine” if this phrase sounds familiar then this article is for you. In case you are a wine-lover, I do not need to explain you the types of wine available out there and surely the concept of “wine tasting” is not new to you. But did you know about the 5 S’s of wine tasting? If yes, great! If not, then you must not leave this article as this article is going to talk exactly about it. Wine tasting is nothing less than an art and there are precise and well defined steps for the same. Let us jump directly to these 5 “S” of wine tasting: See: Well, I am sure you have been fascinated about the different colors of wine available in the market. So the very first step is all about seeing through the wine and this is a very important step while tasting wine. The color should be examined well while tasting wine and for this very reason most of the times the wine is served in a room which is having white background. The color will give you a clue about the variety of grapes used and the age of the wine. Experts suggest taking your wine in “stemmed wine glass”. Do not forget to tilt the glass against the white background to see the true color of the wine. Swirl: Taking the wine poured glasses and then slightly twisting it in the air definitely looks very fancy. But do you know why this step is so important? Because while swirling, the wine gets the required amount of oxygen to “open up, as in the aroma of the wine starts to hit your olfactory senses. This step helps wine to absorb oxygen and oxygen helps wine to break down and eventually softens which is a good thing! Sniff: Now that from your previous step you could unleash the aroma of the wine, it’s important to take a good note of the same. For that you need to sniff the wine and let the aroma sink in your nostrils to enable you to understand the sources of the fine wine that you are about to taste! Sip: Now that you have got yourself accustomed with the aroma, it’s important for you to take a good sip of the lovely wine from your stemmed wine glass. Take a good sip and whirl it around in your mouth for like 4-5 seconds before gulping it down. Try and understand if you can evaluate any distinct taste. Savor: This is kind of an after-taste experience. Once you have gulped down a few sips of the wine in question, try and examine for how long the taste stays in your mouth. Whether you experienced any particular dominating taste or it was well balanced. Experts say if the after-taste lingers over 20 minutes in your mouth then my friend you have experience an exceptionally good wine! Now that you know the steps well for tasting wine please go and grab yourself a place in one of the wine-tasting tours! • The Curious Case Of The Body Shop

The Curious Case Of The Body Shop By Anushka Sharma The Curious Case Of The Body Shop 14 March 2024 LIFESTYLE Advertisement If you’re in the mood to grab some goodies from The Body Shop , now would be the right time to do so! The recent announcement of The Body Shop's closure of 75 stores across the UK has sent shockwaves through the retail industry. With 489 jobs on the line, the repercussions are significant, especially in the current economic climate. The decision to close these stores comes as part of an administration process, aimed at stabilizing the business and ensuring its long-term sustainability. Joint administrator Tony Wright emphasized the necessity of swift action to right-size The Body Shop's UK portfolio. While these measures may seem drastic, they are essential for the brand's future viability. Despite the closures, 116 stores will remain open in the UK, signaling a strategic restructuring rather than a complete withdrawal from the market. The administration firm FRP, overseeing the process, has outlined a plan that focuses on optimizing the brand's product offerings, strengthening online sales channels, and refining its wholesale strategy. This shift reflects a broader trend in the retail landscape, where traditional brick-and-mortar stores are adapting to meet evolving consumer preferences. The decision to close stores and cut head office jobs is not unique to The Body Shop. It reflects a broader trend in the retail industry, where companies are reevaluating their business models in response to changing market dynamics. By streamlining operations and focusing on core strengths, brands can position themselves for long-term success in a competitive marketplace. The Body Shop's challenges extend beyond the UK market. Recent reports indicate closures in other regions, including Germany, Belgium, and Ireland. These developments underscore the global nature of the retail industry and the need for brands to navigate complex regulatory environments and consumer preferences in multiple markets. In addition to store closures, The Body Shop is facing legal challenges, as evidenced by the recent ruling in the Netherlands. The court found the brand guilty of copying skincare products from competitor Rituals, ordering compensation for damages. This case highlights the importance of intellectual property rights and the consequences of infringing on competitors' trademarks. Despite these challenges, The Body Shop remains committed to its mission of promoting ethical and sustainable beauty products. The brand's legacy and reputation for social responsibility continue to resonate with consumers worldwide. As it navigates this period of transition, The Body Shop will undoubtedly leverage its strengths to emerge stronger and more resilient in the future. In conclusion, The Body Shop's decision to close stores and cut jobs reflects a strategic effort to streamline operations and ensure long-term viability. While these changes may be challenging, they are necessary for the brand to adapt to evolving market conditions and consumer preferences. By focusing on its core strengths and values, The Body Shop remains poised to thrive in the competitive retail landscape. No matter what, this is a sad situation for the ones who love the brand and its products! • Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity

Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the soft embrace of a red drape, kissed by the eternal melody of a flute, Aksstagga breathes life into love and memory. It is not just fashion; it is a heartbeat woven into fabric, a legacy embroidered with devotion, and a story carried through time. It began as a love story, not a business. Anjali and Somil were two souls who collided, then harmonized, like needle and thread dancing together. Their home was not just walls and a roof; it was a sanctuary of dreams, a haven where laughter mingled with creativity. From this sacred space, an idea blossomed to honor the timeless art of hand embroidery, to craft garments that were not just worn but felt, not just seen but remembered. What started as Somanjali Creations was more than a brand; it was a dialogue of love and tradition. Every stitch held the patience of craft and the joy of shared evenings, sketching, stitching, dreaming. It was work, yes, but it was also love, immortalized in every thread. In 2020, the name changed, but the soul remained. Aksstagga was born, a union of memory and material, reflection and thread. It became more than garments; it became a vessel for stories, a way to carry love and remembrance into the world. When Somil left this world in 2023, Aksstagga did not falter. Instead, it became Anjali’s mirror, reflecting the love they shared. In every drape, she felt his presence. In every silhouette, his devotion lived on. Like Radha longing for Krishna, or Shiva and Parvati embodying balance, Aksstagga transformed grief into grace, absence into presence. Today, Aksstagga is not just a design house; it is a living tribute to love that transcends time. Its creations are imbued with divine philosophy, masculine and feminine, form and essence, seen and unseen, all converging into harmony. The red drape, the golden monogram, are not mere symbols; they are sacred reminders that fashion can carry the weight of memory and the depth of devotion. For those who step into the world of Aksstagga, it is not a transaction; it is a journey. You are not just a client; you are a muse, a memory waiting to be honored, a story yearning to be stitched into eternity. “You dream. We reflect,” Anjali says. And in that reflection lies the soul of Aksstagga. What sets Aksstagga apart is not just its craftsmanship but the love and meaning woven into every piece. It is not about fleeting trends; it is about permanence in a world that often forgets its value. Every fabric whispers echoes of love, every embroidery carries devotion, every silhouette reflects a story that lives on through art. For Anjali, the loom is not just a tool; it is a bridge between memory and creation, resilience and legacy. “I was once a princess in my parents’ eyes, then a queen in the arms of my soulmate,” she reflects. “With Somil, I built not just a home but a sanctuary of handwoven dreams. When life unraveled, I found not emptiness but echoes, echoes of love, resilience, and legacy. That is what Aksstagga carries forward.” Aksstagga is not just a brand; it is a testament to love that can be touched, devotion that can be worn, and memory that can take shape in silk and thread. Aksstagga is proof that some love stories don’t fade into memory; they stitch themselves into eternity, one thread at a time. • Breaking Boundaries: Monalisa Hazarika’s Journey To Mrs. India Inc

Breaking Boundaries: Monalisa Hazarika’s Journey To Mrs. India Inc By Sakshi Batra Breaking Boundaries: Monalisa Hazarika’s Journey To Mrs. India Inc 29 December 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement What happens when a woman decides to defy conventions and chase her dreams fearlessly? She becomes a trailblazer, an inspiration, and a symbol of empowerment. Monalisa Hazarika’s story is one such tale - A journey of grit, grace, and a relentless pursuit of breaking barriers. From a dreamer to a proud participant in Mrs. India , she has transformed not just her life but also the way society views women’s aspirations. Today, as a proud participant in Mrs. India, Monalisa’s journey is an inspiration to all those who dare to dream big. Empowering Women To Break Stereotypes Monalisa firmly believes that the world of beauty pageants has evolved and is no longer constricted to the stereotypical image of a woman . Women who participate in pageants are here to do so on their own terms. We are not just about beauty; we’re about brains, vision, and the ability to lead says Monalisa. “Pageants are, in fact, one of the biggest platforms for women to break the shackles of outdated stereotypes. It’s about time we celebrate every facet of a woman - the strengths, the flaws, the dreams, and the ambitions.” This powerful statement not only reflects Monalisa’s personal perspective but also challenges us to rethink the traditional narratives surrounding beauty and womanhood. For her, being a part of Mrs. India is about amplifying her voice, sharing her vision with the world, and inspiring women everywhere to believe in their potential. Support That Speaks Louder Than Words Entering a world as glamorous as fashion and beauty pageants is no easy feat. Yet, Monalisa’s journey has been paved with unwavering support from her family and partner. I’m one of the luckiest women to have such a supportive family she shares with a smile. “It was my mother-in-law who encouraged me to go ahead with this. And of course, my parents, my sister, my husband, and my kids have been my biggest pillars of strength.” Monalisa’s story reminds us that behind every successful woman is a network of support, encouragement, and love. It’s this collective strength that fuels her passion and drives her to keep pushing forward. Finding Strength In Challenges When asked about her favorite round in the pageant, Monalisa’s response is both inspiring and empowering. My favorite rounds were the panel interview and the top 15 Q&A she reveals. “It was here that I got to speak of my vision and mission in life, and this became my biggest platform to voice my opinion in front of such a large audience.” For Monalisa, the most rewarding aspect of her journey has been the opportunity to express her thoughts and dreams on a national stage. And it hasn’t always been easy . There have been moments when I felt hopeless,” she admits. “But I always made sure I got back to my confident and zealous self. Her story is a testament to the fact that success doesn’t come without challenges. But with consistency, hard work, and an unwavering belief in oneself, anything is possible. Comforting Food Despite the glamour and glitz of beauty pageants, Monalisa remains grounded. On a cheat day, my comfort food is always Biryani she laughs, adding a relatable touch to her powerful persona. It’s this down-to-earth nature that makes her even more admirable - A reminder that at the heart of every strong woman is a human being with simple joys and passions. If Monalisa Was A Judge? As a judge or curator, Monalisa would introduce a round that’s deeply personal: the All About Me round. “Here, a contestant would get to talk about herself - her story, her struggles, and her journey,” she explains. This round would be all about self-expression, with no questions or expectations from the judges. It’s a chance for every woman to be heard. Monalisa believes in authenticity, whether it’s in beauty or fashion . When something is overdone, it loses its charm she says. I believe in keeping it simple and staying true to yourself. Fashion should reflect who you are, not what others want you to be. This philosophy is part of what makes Monalisa’s outlook on fashion so refreshing. For her, it’s not about following trends, but rather about embracing individuality and personal style. Timeless Fashion: A Nod To The Past Fashion, as Monalisa puts it, always comes full circle . Fashion is cyclical. What’s old always comes back, whether it’s bell-bottom jeans or other styles from past generations she observes. And that’s the beauty of fashion—it can never be off permanently. Monalisa’s view on fashion is a reminder that trends are ever evolving, and there’s always room for creativity and reinvention. It’s about making the past relevant to the present and embracing your own unique version of style. The Legacy Of Mrs. India: A Platform For Empowerment As Monalisa’s journey unfolds, it’s clear that Mrs. India has not only been a platform for beauty but for empowerment. It’s about showcasing the true essence of a woman - her strength, her intelligence, her grace, and her resilience. Her story serves as an invitation to all women: dare to dream, be bold, embrace your individuality, and rise above challenges. Because when you have the courage to follow your passion, there are no limits to what you can achieve. • 5 by 5 Rule

5 by 5 Rule by Akash Khatri 5 by 5 Rule 1 November 2020 LIFESTYLE Advertisement A very close friend introduced me to this coincidentally 5 years back after I had been ranting about my messy day. Since then life has been a bit simpler, it goes like, “If it’s not going to matter in 5 years, don’t spend more than 5 minutes upset by it.” It didn’t make sense to me the first time too. Sounds pretty simple on paper I know, it’s difficult in reality. You won’t get used to it overnight, it will surely take a while but I promise once you do, things just seem to sort themselves. Things fall apart, they always do. I think it’s the basic law of human living. You will have challenges, changes and trials. It’s a part and parcel of a game called life. You need to accept the ugly bitter pills just like the sweet candies. It’s just the way it is supposed to be maybe. It can’t be flowers and rainbows all the way. There might be days with a little blood, tears and sweat too but it will all be worth it in the end. Sometimes decision fatigue gets overwhelming. When you can’t really think what to do, whether to keep thinking about something or not. At such times the 5 by 5 rule comes to the rescue. You can’t care about everything and anything; you have to choose what to care about. The only way to filter is this. It is highly effective in the long run and this is me talking from personal experience, tried and tested. It can be applied from the tiniest snarky comment someone passed on your dress to your workplace issues. Whenever in doubt, just ask yourself once “will it matter in the next five years?” if yes, work on it, find a solution, leave no stone unturned for it but if you get an answer in the negative, drop it right there. You will soon realize that what anyone else thinks about the colour of your dress or your new hairstyle or your handwriting won’t ever matter, they won’t even remember it after a week or so but you somewhere it might leave a mark on your heart and you would continue pondering over their nasty remarks. My heart always got the better of my brain while making decisions, it’s not bad but equilibrium is necessary. This rule helped me get a perspective around issues. Those gigantic dilemmas weren’t that bad. I realized a lot of issues had very simple solutions. You just had to know the trick to handle. Neil Armstrong once said, “I believe that every human has a finite number of heartbeats. I don’t intend to waste any of mine.” We all have limited time. We have to make our choices, they might not always be wise but mistakes are the greatest teachers. This has become my life’s litmus test. It saved me from a lot of futile thinking; I hope it helps you declutter too. #wise #test #accept #limited #dilemma #rule #Reality #decision #issue #finite #litmus #help #Life #sense #time #sort #fivebyfive #thinking #save #overwhelming #simpler #equilibrium SEARCH Ankita Malik: Empowering Change And Embracing Authenticity LIFESTYLE Juggling Two Worlds: The Inspiring Journey Of Kritika Goel LIFESTYLE Juggling Law And Fashion: The Inspirational Journey Of Riddhi Nahata, A Multifaceted Influencer LIFESTYLE Nikita Pawar: From Fashion Design To Digital Stardom LIFESTYLE Join Shruti Yogi On Her Enchanting Journey From Kumkum Bhagya To Wanderlust Saga LIFESTYLE POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s Iconic Celebration Of December 14 December 2025 LIFESTYLE By Shriniwas Kodape The Spa At The Urban Wellness Centre: Four Seasons Bangkok’s Sanctuary Where The Body Forgets The Noise 4 September 2025 LIFESTYLE By Anurag Sen Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026 24 August 2025 LIFESTYLE By Anurag Sen Mercedes AMG Petronas Keep The Momentum Rolling After A Podium Scoring Hungarian GP 21 August 2025 LIFESTYLE RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement

  • Ice, Speed And Records: Porsche Taycan GTS Drifts Into History

Ice, Speed And Records: Porsche Taycan GTS Drifts Into History By Anushka Uniyal Ice, Speed And Records: Porsche Taycan GTS Drifts Into History 27 February 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Imagine drifting for over 17 kilometers, but on ice. Sounds impossible? Not for Porsche . When you think of cars with record-breaking drifts, screeching tires and clouds of smoke probably come to mind, right? But this time, Porsche turned up the chill with icy roads and hot wheels! On January 14, 2025, at the Porsche Arctic Center in Levi, Finland, the all-electric Porsche Taycan GTS made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest drift on ice by an electric vehicle. The distance? A jaw-dropping 17.503 kilometers of continuous drifting on a slippery ice track. Now, that’s how you make an entrance! Commanding the wheel? Porsche Experience instructor Jens Richter, whose unmatched skills kept the Taycan GTS drifting incredibly for 132 laps around a 59-meter diameter ice circle. The previous record? 14.809 kilometers. Yes, you read that right. Porsche didn’t just break the record—they shattered it! Glide, Drift & Conquer! Let’s talk about adrenaline. The icy track threw a curveball but Team Porsche was more than ready to take it on. When the surface nearly gave way under the Taycan’s sheer power, backing down wasn’t an option. With precision and patience, Richter swiftly swapped out the tire spikes and waited for the perfect temperature drop and just like that—BOOM! The Taycan GTS roared back onto the track, delivering a flawless oversteer spectacle that earned Porsche its fourth Guinness World Records title. Richter nailed it when he said, “With our new Guinness World Records title on ice, the Taycan has once again proven its sideways driving qualities. And this time, even with all-wheel drive!” Bottom line? The Taycan GTS isn’t just electric, it’s electrifying, even when the stakes are icy! The Icy Feat Let’s be real, the Taycan GTS wasn’t pulling this off in flip-flops! This powerhouse came fully equipped with well fitted Michelin tires packed with one-millimeter spikes because ice demands serious respect and grip. And of course, every epic record needs slick-tech right? A precision GPS tracked every drift to the last meter. Keeping it official was Guinness World Records adjudicator Carl Saville, ticking all the right boxes. Christian Lehwald, Managing Director of the Porsche Arctic Center, said it best: “We knew the Taycan GTS had the power and precision. We just needed the ice. And here in Levi, Finland, we’ve got the perfect playground for it.” A Record Run Like No Other The Taycan has been collecting records like stamps. Let’s go back to 2023 when the Taycan Cross Turismo set its first record by climbing an incredible 5,573 meters on the Xinjiang-Tibet route, the greatest altitude change by an electric car. In 2021, driver Leh Keen drove the Taycan to 165.1 km/h inside an exhibition hall, proving that limits are meant to be pushed, and let’s not forget 2020, when the Taycan marked the longest drift record at the Porsche Experience Center in Hockenheimring. Clearly, the Taycan doesn’t just drive—it dominates! Where Power Meets Experience For fans craving some action, the Porsche Experience is the place to be. Since 1996, the Porsche Ice Experience in Levi has given drivers the chance to push their limits on icy tracks with expert instructors by their side. The 2025 season brings a revamped 300,000 square-meter track, designed by the legendary Hermann Tilke, ready for future record-breakers. What’s next for Porsche? If history says anything, they’re just getting started. The Taycan GTS is redefining what electric cars can do on roads, at altitude and now, even on ice. Stay tuned because Porsche’s ride is far from over!
