When It Comes To Shop Fashionable Items Here’s What Most Men Want by Yashi Srivastava When It Comes To Shop Fashionable Items Here’s What Most Men Want 12 February 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The time when men hated shopping is long gone. Today, most men want to look good and feel good and so, want to shop good. Even though there are certain differences between what men and women want when they go out to shop for clothes, accessories, shoes, and more! So, what is it that most men want when they go shopping for clothes and other fashion items? Men want to be clear on what they want Most men do not like wasting time in several shops and showrooms before deciding on what they want. It is not an opportunity to socialize with other men, for them. So, the best thing that a man can do before going out shopping is to make a list of all the fashion items he wants, including the design or color he wants. For instance, if you want to buy a shirt, do a little research to get an idea of what kind of shirt you want -the design, color, style, etc. along with the store which may have it. You can find the store on Google to and go straight into it. They want to shop with convenience Men do not want to browse through an ocean of clothes or jeans or accessory to find that one perfect fashion item they had in mind. Woman, certainly would bring down an entire mountain to find that peach dress which Rachel wore in FRIENDS, but men just don’t care. So, they would usually prefer to go inside the showrooms that have MEN section. If you have a fashion store, pay heed to this and create a section exclusively for men. It may be a big reason why most men love to shop online - they do not have to go out and search for their section in the store! If it is not a gadget or equipment, money certainly matters to men While most men love to shop fashion these days, unlike women, they would want to see the value in the product. In other words, whether they are shopping online or at a store, the brand has got to show its worth to them otherwise it would most certainly be a no from men. Most men like branded clothes and shoes but they wouldn’t appreciate the idea of expensive for no reason. Once they find their go-to brand, they will stick to it for years Men want to find a fashion brand that suits them and they would certainly be their loyal army for years and years! Why do you think most men go to Levis? It is because the brand has established a connection with them that most fashion brands cannot simply because Levis understand and connects with men’s psyche. The brand offer discounts, offers, and loyalty programs to reel men in and well, most men like it. Online stores over offline showrooms As mentioned already, most men like convenience, even when shopping for clothes or other fashion items. So, yes, online shopping preferable over offline, and they wouldn’t mind paying more for this, we mean the delivery charges. Well, it’s understandable for even women enjoy the comfort part. So, remember to give them the value of their money, exclusive space, and of course, a loyalty program to relate to, and you would see that even though men have it their way, they wouldn’t mind going out to shop every weekend. Blob - With the changing fashion world, why wouldn’t men embrace the idea of shopping fashionable items for themselves? Gone are the days when men didn’t want to look good. With changing times, even male shoppers want to explore the best in fashion but in their own way! If it has value, convenience, and style, men of this generation will buy it! • The Pursuit Of Comfort: Body By Victoria’s Secret Redefines The Everyday Bra

The Pursuit Of Comfort: Body By Victoria’s Secret Redefines The Everyday Bra By Sakshi Shah The Pursuit Of Comfort: Body By Victoria’s Secret Redefines The Everyday Bra 18 August 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement It is a truth not universally acknowledged, though it ought to be, that a woman in possession of a demanding life must be in want of a perfect bra. Not the kind that digs, pinches, or whispers of compromise, but one that moves with her, as faithful and uncomplaining as the shadow that follows her in the sun. In a century where fashions bloom and wither in the span of a single season, such creations are rare gems hidden among the baubles. And yet, this summer, Victoria’s Secret has chosen to set aside the merely fashionable in favor of something enduring: the Body by Victoria FlexFactor Lightly Lined Plunge Demi Bra, a piece designed not to flatter for an instant, but to serve a woman for the long arc of her days. The Body by Victoria collection has long been a fixture in wardrobes across continents, earning its place not through loud declarations but through the quiet loyalty of those who have worn it. With one bra sold every five seconds, it has built a reputation on that most unfashionable of virtues consistency. Yet, just as even the finest home requires the occasional opening of new windows to let in the air, so too must a heritage design allow for innovation. The FlexFactor is such a breath of fresh air. At its core lies a slender marvel: a flexible titanium underwire, as yielding as it is strong, bending to the contours of its wearer’s form yet never losing its shape. Gone is the rigid frame that has, for decades, been lingerie’s necessary evil; here is a structure that offers the body both liberty and loyalty. The cups, with their memory foam of feather-light touch, recall the luxury of a bespoke gown tailored not by hand, but by technology so precise it knows every rise and hollow of the body it serves. One does not merely wear this piece; one inhabits it, as naturally as one inhabits a favorite armchair or a trusted friend’s embrace. From the first hour of the morning to the last stride before evening’s rest, it follows without intruding, supported without announcing itself. To present such a creation to the world, Victoria’s Secret entrusted its image to Charlotte Wales, a photographer whose lens finds grace in the most fleeting of gestures. In New York City, where life moves at a pace brisk enough to test the patience of saints, she caught movement in its purest form: women striding, turning, laughing unbound. The campaign’s architect, Adam Selman, Victoria’s Secret’s Executive Creative Director, envisioned not a tableau of stillness but a living portrait of freedom, aided by the creative agency Chandelier and the deft styling of Malina Joseph Gilchrist. “We wanted the campaign to show movement and freedom,” Selman remarks, “and the flexible ease of our newest Body by Victoria styles. The innovation behind this wire is truly impressive.” It is a rare pleasure when a designer speaks not of trends or spectacle, but of ease of the quiet luxury that comes from wearing something perfectly attuned to one’s life. Yet the FlexFactor is not an isolated marvel; it belongs to a broader constellation of offerings. Within the Body by Victoria collection lie bras, panties, casual sleepwear, and apparel, each piece sharing the same philosophy: beauty without restriction. Prices begin at $16.95, sizes range from XS to XXL in apparel, and bands 30 to 44 with cups A to G in bras. The scale of choice is deliberate comfort and refinement are not to be hoarded by a select few. Victoria’s Secret itself, with more than 1,380 stores in nearly seventy countries and a workforce of over 30,000, has long occupied its place as a leader in intimate apparel. But it is not size that sustains such a legacy it is the will to adapt without surrendering one’s essence. The FlexFactor is not a seasonal diversion, but a declaration: that beauty reaches its zenith when it serves the woman, rather than demands she serve it. When it arrived on July 23rd, it did so not with fanfare alone, but with the quiet confidence of something built to last. True luxury, after all, is not excess but precision in every seam, every curve, every choice of fabric working toward a single purpose. For the woman who prizes independence as highly as elegance, the FlexFactor is more than an object of purchase. It is a companion in motion, an ally in the pursuit of a day unbroken by discomfort. And so it stands, this newest chapter in the Body by Victoria story not content to rest upon the laurels of the past, but reaching forward into a future where structure and softness, beauty and utility, need not be strangers. Available now in Victoria’s Secret boutiques across the world and at VictoriasSecret.com , the FlexFactor Lightly Lined Plunge Demi Bra offers not merely the adornment of the body, but the rarest luxury of all: the adornment of a life well-lived. • Exposing Skin Care Myths Through A Dermatologist

By Anushka Sharma By Anushka Sharma Exposing Skin Care Myths Through A Dermatologist 18 June 2024 BEAUTY Advertisement Advertisement Are you someone who spends a lot of time on social media, especially looking at skincare trends? I admit I've done that, and sometimes it leads to buying things I don't need. While some trends are good, others might not be so great for your skin. Here are five skincare trends you might have seen online that aren't as helpful as they seem: 1. Flax Seeds for Wrinkles: Have you seen people making masks with flax seeds to tighten their skin? Well, it might make your skin feel nice for a little while, but it's not like getting Botox. Botox actually relaxes certain muscles in your face, while flaxseed masks just hydrate your skin temporarily. 2. Garlic for Pimples: Some folks say eating garlic can clear up acne, but that's not entirely true. Garlic does have some good properties, but it won't magically make your pimples disappear. Using skincare ingredients like salicylic acid and niacinamide is a better bet. 3. Face Flooding for Oily Skin: If you've got oily skin, you might have heard about "face flooding" to give your skin extra moisture. But for some people, it just makes them look sweaty and can even cause more breakouts. It's not a one-size-fits-all solution. 4. Collagen Masks: Those masks that melt into your skin might look cool, but they don't do much for you. Collagen in skincare can't really get absorbed into your skin like that. It might make your skin feel hydrated, but that's about it. 5. SPF Madness: We've all heard that higher SPF means better protection from the sun, right? Well, not necessarily. Too much SPF can make your skin oily, and anything beyond SPF 50 doesn't add much extra protection. Plus, you still need to reapply it often. So, next time you see a skincare trend online, take it with a grain of salt. It's always best to talk to a dermatologist before trying something new on your skin. • Therapy motivation

SOCIETY by Anadi Gupta Therapy motivation 1 November 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Causes of depression are still being discovered, some people get this disease due to difficult conditions of life, and some without any solid reason. Still no solid physical test is available to detect depression. When you care about someone, it is very difficult to see them struggling with their mental state. And even more so when you know that they can be helped professionally. It can be very difficult to visit someone and encourage them for therapy or professional help. Misconceptions about mental health have intensified stigma in society. Even today, depression and mental illnesses are not taken seriously in our society. It is important for us to understand that this is also a type of disease that can happen to people and they need to be treated. That is why we should always talk with patience and love to people suffering from it, so that they do not feel like a burden. We should assure them that we are with them and we will help them to get out of it. Still a lot of people don’t feel comfortable to talk openly about depression. Many famous people, who are very successful in their area, become victims of depression because people usually have very high expectations from them and they feel under pressure to fulfil them. But some celebrities have came forward and talk about it and encouraged others, which is a very good step for the society. It can be hard to share personal feelings with parents, especially if you haven’t done it in a while. This can be difficult to share when you are not really sure what is going on. Sometimes parents can provide a new angle that helps you understand things. Just talking about it can help you see things from a different perspective. If depression is severe or persists, you may still need to talk to a therapist after having a good conversation with your parents. Tell your mom or dad if you continue to feel depressed. Your mother or father can make an appointment for you and support you while working with a therapist. Telling your parents about depression can be very emotionally difficult for you. You may cry, or your parents may cry. This is completely fine. Depression is a difficult subject, and you are doing the right thing by addressing it now before it gets worse. Chances are, your parents have already noticed that something is wrong. They just don’t know what it is or how to help. By naming the problem, you will help them feel better and learn how to take action. You have to choose a time when neither you nor your parents are distracted. It should be a quiet time when you can talk one-on-one, or with both of them alone. Long car rides, quiet evenings, working together, and long walks are all good subjects. If your parents are busy, ask when is a good time. Say something like “I really have something important to talk to you about. What would be a good time for us to have a private conversation?” Sometimes, parents make the mistake of not taking their children seriously about depression. Opening up about depression can be challenging, but you will definitely feel better if you try to share your feelings. Get the courage to talk to your parents about what depression is, especially when you are feeling particularly low. Talk therapy is not just “talking about your problems” It is also working towards solutions. Some therapy may include homework, such as tracking your moods, writing about your thoughts, or participating in social activities that have been a cause for concern in the past. You may be encouraged to look at things in a different way or learn new ways to react to events or people. Most of today’s therapy is brief and focuses on your current thoughts, feelings and life issues. Focusing on the past can help explain things in your life, but focusing on the present can help you face the present and prepare for the future. You may see your physician or counselor more often when you first start working with them, and later, as you progress toward your goals, you have fewer appointments. It’s just that, Never be afraid in asking for help whenever it is needed. #mentalhealthmatters #depression #Therapy #Anxiety #mentalhealthawareness SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? But a pivotal moment after her separation propelled her to take a leap of faith and pursue her passion professionally. Kannikka flew to New York City to train at the prestigious Makeup Designory (MUD), setting the stage for her remarkable journey. The true inspiration for Kannikka's foray into the world of makeup influencing came when she met a bride during her freelancing days. The bride's grandmother, impressed with Kannikka's work, remarked humorously that she couldn't see all those layers of makeup that Kannikka was charging for. This lighthearted exchange sparked an idea in Kannikka's mind – to share her passion for makeup on the internet and teach others the art she had come to love. Thus, the transformation of Kannikka Ahuja into a beauty content creator and influencer began. "The moment someone from my online family messages me or comments on my posts that my videos and story tutorials have helped them learn makeup or debunked some makeup/skincare myths for them is when I feel the happiest about being a makeup influencer or, as I like to call it, a beauty content creator," Kannikka shares enthusiastically. Her joy lies not only in her creative expression but also in her positive impact on her audience. However, being a makeup influencer comes with its own set of challenges. One of the significant hurdles that Kannikka and other content creators face is the ever-changing algorithm of social media platforms. The constant influx of new launches, trends, and viral products can be overwhelming, leading to a desire to accumulate more than necessary – a pitfall she warns against as it can become a toxic habit. Kannikka shares some of her top makeup tips and hacks to offer her readers valuable insights. She emphasises the importance of skin preparation before makeup application to achieve a flawless finish. Waiting a minute between different skincare layers ensures optimal product absorption and prevents makeup from appearing patchy or pilling. These fundamental tips form the foundation of any successful makeup routine. For those looking to establish a skincare or makeup routine, Kannikka provides her priority recommendations. She advises beginners to include a gentle cleanser, a Hyaluronic Acid serum to be applied on damp skin, a suitable moisturiser based on their skin type, and most importantly, SPF for daytime protection. In the realm of makeup, she suggests investing in essential products like concealer, cream blush, loose powder, kohl pencil, mascara, and creamy matte nude lipstick, all of which contribute to a versatile and polished look. And, of course, a brow pencil, as brows can make or break the overall appearance. As someone who continues to draw inspiration from her peers, Kannikka shares that international makeup artists and influencers like Tati Westbrook, Nikkie Tutorials, and Rose Siard have played an influential role in her journey. Additionally, she expresses gratitude for Indian beauty creators like Shreya Jain, Malvika Sitlani, and Srishti Bhatia, who have inspired her growth and evolution in the field. Looking towards the future, Kannikka has grand aspirations. "The biggest goal that I have for myself is to represent India globally; I'm manifesting it through this interview. I want to evolve the way India does makeup and sees beauty. And lastly, I want to make my parents proud of my achievements and success while being extremely down-to-earth and humble since that matters the most!" she declares with determination. As our conversation with Kannikka Ahuja comes to a close, we are left inspired by her journey of self-discovery, resilience, and unwavering passion for makeup. Her success as a makeup influencer and beauty content creator stems from her exceptional skills and her genuine desire to empower and uplift others in their own beauty journeys. Kannikka's story is a testament to the transformative power of following one's heart and embracing the beauty within and around us. • Neha Bhasin: ‘I want to take Indian music to the same global level as international artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce’

Neha Bhasin: ‘I want to take Indian music to the same global level as international artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce’ by Rupashree Ravi Neha Bhasin: ‘I want to take Indian music to the same global level as international artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce’ 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Singer and songwriter Neha Bhasin has carved a unique artistic identity over the years as a pop artist and folk musician in India. Known for her popular film songs ‘Kuch Khaas,’ ‘Dhunki’ as well as ‘Hum Naye Geet Sunaye’ from the girl group, Viva! she has established herself as a powerful vocalist and independent artist, who has broken many stereotypes of the music industry. In a recent interview, Bhasin shared details about her upcoming singles and collaborations, the struggles of being an independent artist, and her future goals. She also spoke about her biggest inspirations and what she wishes to achieve in the ever-changing industry. “I started my journey as an independent artist right after Viva! but I released my first album in 2010. I’ve been very fortunate to not just sustain myself but balance a great career between Bollywood music and also my own independent music. Of course, you need good music, funds, and the right support system. I believe what really matters is the connection you share with your audience and the music that you're producing while maintaining the consistency of the good stuff that you produce. It’s not easy, but consistency is the key,” she said. Bhasin shared with us that she enjoys a wide range of music genres. Since she was young, she always enjoyed listening to pop rock and classic rock bands like Aerosmith and Pink Floyd. Old school artists like Prince have influenced her musical career. She cites Michael Jackson as her biggest musical influence during the start of her career and Adele as her all-time favourite. “I love keeping myself updated with the world's music space. I listen to current dance genres and I’ve also recently warmed up to a lot of Sufi music. Many artists have inspired me like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Queen, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi. So many artists from Billy Joel to BTS have moved me. Among Indian artists, I would say Kishore da, Asha Ji, Lata Ji, Reshma Ji, Noor Jahan Ji are my favourites. Some current artists I love are Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, and Sam Smith It's typical to put them in one word because I feel every great artist has a great impact on your life but I think the reason why I started loving music was Michael Jackson,” she shared. When asked if any album or single is in the works, she said, “Yes, I'm working on my next single. Singles, rather and some folk song originals. Once they're ready I would know which is the next one for release. I’m always working on new music.” On artists that she would love to collaborate with, she mentioned singer and composer Amaal Malik. She expressed her interest to collaborate with Punjabi artists and also shared that she is currently in talks with composers Yuvan Shankar Raja and Devi Sri Prasad from the south industry. She hopes that there will be some big stops coming this year with regard to international collaborations, although it is a bit far-fetched at the moment. As a public figure who has been a part of the industry for many years, Bhasin has been very vocal about social issues like sexism and body shaming and has taken part in a lot of campaigns. “I've had different sizes of bodies in the span of my career. At the very beginning, I was actively body-shamed by the people that I worked with. Body positivity is something I really believe in. It’s something I was very sensitive about because it really impacted my life. I suffered from body image issues and food disorders for a very long time. So, I understand the impact it has on a young person's mind. I hate the word ‘plus size.’ I feel like your body is a beautiful armour that God has given for your soul's residence. It should be appreciated and loved. I think it's my responsibility to put out the right message especially, being a victim of body shaming myself. Hence, I'm active about it,” she said. The award-winning singer shared that her biggest goal or mission as a musical artist is to produce great music that means something in the world. She shared, “The kind of music that I grew up listening to, that gave me goosebumps and changed my life, made me the artist I am today. I want to be the change that I want to see in the industry. My job is not to preach to people or to change them, but to live by example. That's what I'm doing and that's what I’ve always done. I hope to make my label bigger and have more resources to produce good music. As of now, I'm the only artist who’s in it. I'll be happy if we can get more artists in the future. My mission is to take Punjabi folk music global. I've kind of resurrected a dead genre and I want to make that bigger and better.” Her ultimate dream to achieve in the music industry is to live a legacy of great work and for people to remember her work as legendary music. She wants to take India to the same global level as international artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Madonna and have worldwide concerts with great production value. “Of course, my ultimate dream is to win a Grammy and release my English album, which is something that I’ve not done much about till now except for writing good music,” she added. • Into The Enticing and Harmful World of Fast Fashion

Into The Enticing and Harmful World of Fast Fashion by Rupashree Ravi Into The Enticing and Harmful World of Fast Fashion 13 August 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement What comes to your mind when someone says trendy, fashionable, and affordable? Of course, big brands like H&M, Zara, Forever 21, and Shein, which are widely popular and are known for their cheap and fashionable clothing. These are clothing giants that entice their loyal customer base with sales and exciting offers, and you cannot say no to them. But the cost of making these clothes comes at a heavy price. These brands are the biggest players in the fashion industry and are also among the most damaging industries for the environment. They are fast fashion retailers who bring out large quantities of a variety of products and allow consumers to get more fashion and product differentiation at a very low price. Stores like Zara, Forever 21 and H&M are the pioneers of fast fashion in the 21st century ‘Fast fashion’ is cheaply manufactured and low priced garments that copy the latest catwalk styles and get quick entry into retail stores in order to maximise on the current fashion trends. It is called the fast fashion model because it involves rapid design, mass production, and distribution as well as heavy marketing. Today, it takes less than fifteen days for a garment to move from the design stage to being sold physically in stores. The term has gained more prominence in recent times and is often used in conversations revolving around environmental consciousness as well as sustainability. This is extremely worrisome because the fashion industry, especially since the rise of fast fashion, has become the second largest consumer of water and is responsible for 10 per cent of carbon emissions and 20 per cent of wastewater globally. It also dries up water sources and pollutes waterways. This is because these fast fashion retailers use about 700 gallons of water to make one cotton shirt and about 2,000 gallons to make one pair of jeans. Moreover, the textile dyes that they use contribute to polluting these waterways as the chemicals leak into the water, which also poses health risks to the general population. Fast fashion has been growing at an unsustainable rate These brands also use synthetic fibres like polyester, nylon and acrylic which take several years to biodegrade. The fast fashion model is also an energy-intensive process. Even cotton is not an environment-friendly fabric to manufacture for fast fashion companies as they are exposed to a number of pesticides that are very harmful. So, what’s the solution? The alternative to fast fashion is sustainable fashion or eco-fashion. To counter the environmental damage caused by fast fashion, sustainable fabrics like wild silk, organic cotton, hemp, linen, and lyocell can be used in a responsible manner. We can certainly choose to shop in a more sustainable way, but getting involved with sustainable fashion does not necessarily require buying anything new. Sustainable fashion aims to be conscious and ethical Sustainable fashion brands like Brogger, Insom, Ka-Sha focus on bringing out cruelty-free products. They use fewer resources wherever possible to reduce impact and conserve water by using organic mills and ozone technology in its production to benefit people, plants, and animals. Some of these brands also give away their profits to charitable causes. Even vegan leather has become very popular in recent times. Local Indie fashion brands are becoming popular It is essential that we as consumers stop buying from these fast fashion companies and instead choose locally produced garments. Try opting for local Indian brands like Udd Stories or Anokhi that are made by indigenous communities. #FastFashion #SustainableFashion #EcoFashion #VocalForLocal #OOTD SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement
