- The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash
The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash By Shriniwas Kodape The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash 4 October 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement The concert hall is full, yet hushed, as though the audience is holding its collective breath. Two sarods lie across two laps, polished surfaces glowing under the stage lights. Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash sit side by side, their postures mirrored, their eyes meeting for just a fraction of a second. Nothing is said, but everything is understood. Amaan’s fingers strike the first note, bold and deliberate. Ayaan follows, answering with a softer resonance, his strings almost whispering in contrast. In that instant, the music is born not from one instrument, but from two souls in conversation. This is the essence of the Bangash brothers: a dialogue woven in sound, steeped in tradition, but alive with the intimacy of siblinghood. They were born into music. Sons of the legendary Ustad Amjad Ali Khan , the sarod was never a foreign object in their childhood home; it was as common as the dining table, as natural as the morning sun. Their earliest memories are not of playgrounds but of ragas drifting through the air as their father practiced. Where most children are lulled to sleep by lullabies, Amaan and Ayaan were cradled by alaps. Theirs was not simply an education in music; it was an immersion, a way of life. Yet being heirs to such a towering legacy was never easy. “Growing up, people assumed music would be automatic for us,” Amaan recalls. “But the truth is, it demanded discipline, hours of practice, endless corrections, the constant reminder that the sarod isn’t just an instrument, it’s a responsibility.” Ayaan adds more quietly, “It was never enough to imitate. Our father always told us to find our own voice.” And find it they did. On stage, their differences are striking. Amaan’s playing has a force that feels almost impatient; his notes cut through air like a storm breaking. Ayaan, meanwhile, shapes his sound with delicacy, coaxing tenderness from steel strings. Together, the tension between them becomes magic. It is fire and water, provocation and reconciliation, push and pull. At times, they sound like they are arguing; at others, like they are laughing together. The audience is simply invited to witness. But their journey has never been about replication. The Bangash brothers have pushed the sarod into unexpected spaces, collaborating with Western orchestras, jazz ensembles, and global musicians. Their projects blend centuries-old ragas with contemporary arrangements, without ever losing the core of Hindustani classical music. “For us, collaboration is not compromise,” Ayaan explains. “It's a conversation. Every genre has something to say, and we bring our sarods to listen and respond.” Despite their ventures into fusion, the soul of their music remains deeply traditional. They speak of ragas as though they are living beings. “Each raga has its own temperament, its own mood,” Amaan says. “Some demand patience, others erupt quickly. Our job is to reveal them, not control them.” It’s this reverence for the art form that grounds them, even as they innovate. What makes their story human is not just the music, but the bond between them. Offstage, they are brothers in every sense; sometimes clashing, sometimes teasing, always circling back to affection. Their dynamic fuels their art. Amaan admits with a grin, “We argue a lot about tempo, phrasing, everything. But when the performance starts, all that tension turns into energy.” Ayaan nods, “That’s the beauty of playing with family. The disagreements don’t divide you; they deepen the music.” Audiences around the world have felt that depth. Whether in an intimate baithak in Delhi or a grand concert hall in Europe, the Bangash brothers carry the same presence: music that demands surrender. In an era obsessed with speed and spectacle, their performances slow time down. Listeners lean in, pulled into a soundscape where centuries of tradition meet the immediacy of now. And perhaps that is their greatest gift. They are not simply performers; they are bridges between father and future, between East and West, between the sanctity of inheritance and the necessity of reinvention. Their sarods remind us that heritage is not static, but breathing. Each note is proof that memory and modernity can coexist without conflict. The final stroke fades, and silence fills the hall. But it is not an empty silence. It vibrates, alive with resonance, as though the music still lingers, refusing to let go. That is the world of Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash where strings are not just strings, but storytellers, carrying forward a legacy while writing their own. - Purab Kohli’s Cinematic Expedition Through Films, Travel And Self-Expression
Purab Kohli’s Cinematic Expedition Through Films, Travel And Self-Expression by Akshra Khandelwal Purab Kohli’s Cinematic Expedition Through Films, Travel And Self-Expression 22 September 2023 COVER STORIES Advertisement As the midyear sun casts its warm glow upon us, we find ourselves caught in a whirlwind of moments, events, and experiences that shape our lives. For actor extraordinaire Purab Kohli, these last six months have been a whirlwind, an exhilarating rollercoaster of creativity and exploration that has left him both exhilarated and eager for more. As we settle in for a candid chat with the versatile actor, we delve into his recent adventures, cinematic escapades, wanderlust, and thoughts on life, work, and style. "It's gone by really fast. It's been quite a busy first half of the year," Kohli begins with a boyish grin, his eyes sparkling with the energy that has propelled him through a bustling six months. "I've been in three films back to back," he continues, recounting his dynamic journey since March. The actor's journey unfolded like a tapestry, with each thread representing a different cinematic endeavour. "Putul," he mentions a film that swept him into its narrative embrace throughout March and April. Followed by "Let There Be Love," a project that captivated him throughout May and June. And then there was "Ahutti," a venture that spanned from June to July, inviting him into another realm of storytelling. And then, the much-needed interlude - a holiday that rejuvenated his spirit and encapsulated the essence of family. "That brings us to seven months of the year, more than half the year. And raring to go for the next five months, looking forward to the next five months," Kohli asserts, his enthusiasm palpable. Speaking of cinematic ventures, Kohli's eyes light up as he delves into the intriguing world of "Blind." "It was a film released on Jio Cinema last month," he begins, recounting his role in the narrative alongside Sonam Kapoor. The film's chilling premise casts him as an evil, serial-killing driver, a role that contrasts starkly with his pleasant demeanour. The journey of filming "Blind" was marked by challenges, notably the lockdown restrictions and the winter cold of Glasgow, where the shooting took place. "A lot of the shooting of Blind was done in the dark at night," Kohli shares, his voice tinged with reminiscence of the intense experience. "When you see the film, you'll realise it was freezing conditions." But amidst the challenges, camaraderie blossomed among the small crew, creating an atmosphere of creativity and connection that kept spirits high. As the conversation steers toward his love for travel, Kohli's eyes light up like a child's Christmas morning. "Yes, of course, I love to travel. Who doesn't love to travel?" he exclaims. But the seasoned traveller has found himself favouring road and train journeys overflights, citing the exhausting ordeal of airports. "I wish someone could come up with an easier experience of airports," he muses, echoing a sentiment shared by many. For Kohli, travel is an avenue for self-discovery, a means to unearth uncharted facets of oneself. "I love seeing new places. I love discovering new parts about myself in these new places," he declares, an explorer at heart. A seasoned globetrotter, Kohli eagerly unveils the top contenders on his bucket list. Having recently ticked off Norway and Scandinavia from the list, he now sets his sights on South America, with Brazil, in particular, capturing his imagination. "Brazil is the next one to check off," he shares, his eyes glittering with the anticipation of new horizons. Peering into the future, Kohli opens up about upcoming releases and his plans for the months ahead. With a handful of releases on the horizon, he takes a step back to embrace family and recharge before diving back into cinema. Speaking of his journey in the industry, Kohli acknowledges the ebb and flow that characterises any creative endeavour. "The industry is always welcoming to anyone who has a reasonable success rate," he reflects. "But yes, to me, it has been very welcoming. It's been very open and loving for the last 25 years." A topic that couldn't be overlooked is Kohli's signature salt-and-pepper look, which he wears with authority and pride. "The salt-and-pepper look gives me some age," he chuckles, reflecting on the visual impact of his facial hair. He shares style advice and underscores the importance of comfort and authenticity in one's appearance. "Any style starts from knowing what makes you feel comfortable and wearing that proud," he advises, reminding us that confidence is the heart of true style. As our conversation with Purab Kohli draws to a close, we're left with a glimpse into the life of a man who thrives on exploration, creativity, and authenticity. His journey through the cinematic landscape mirrors the path of life itself - one marked by challenges, camaraderie, and a ceaseless pursuit of new horizons. And just as he leaves his mark on the silver screen, his insights into travel, style, and self-discovery leave an indelible impression on our hearts and minds. - China Table Restaurant At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok: A Dim Sum Story At Dusk
By Shriniwas Kodape China Table Restaurant At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok: A Dim Sum Story At Dusk 7 September 2025 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The rain was light but insistent, the kind that makes Bangkok’s streets gleam like a black lacquered table. From the lobby of the Radisson Blu Plaza , the city outside looked like it was holding its breath. I took the elevator up, chasing the promise of steam, ginger, and the soft clink of porcelain. China Table welcomes without fanfare. It draws you in with the quiet confidence of a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. Inside, the world softened with dark wood, muted gold, and that warm, almost conspiratorial lighting that flatters everyone at the table. Somewhere in the kitchen, woks hissed, the air fragrant with star anise and soy. The dim sum arrived first, steaming baskets cradled like secrets. Har gow, so delicate you could trace the pink curve of shrimp inside; siu mai crowned with a scatter of roe; buns that broke open to reveal molten custard, sweet enough to stop you mid-sentence. Every bite felt precise, not fussy, just intentional, as though someone had edited away everything that didn’t belong. Then came the Peking duck. It unfolded with a sense of tradition, each step deliberate with the paper-thin pancakes, the glossy hoisin, the skin that shattered with a sound so soft it was almost a whisper. Sweet, salty, smoky, all in balance, all exactly where it should be. Seafood followed with the quiet elegance of a tide coming in. Poached grouper swimming in a ginger broth that warmed without overwhelming. Scallops seared just long enough to catch a kiss of wok smoke. Crab fried rice, indulgent but somehow clean, the grains separate and glistening. By the time dessert landed chilled mango sago, sesame balls with their crisp shells giving way to red bean silk, the city outside had slipped fully into night. The rain had stopped, but I wasn’t in any hurry to leave. China Table isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to settle into. To let the night breathe between courses, to let flavors take their time telling you where they came from. At dusk, with steam curling above the table and the lights of Bangkok just out of reach, it becomes its own small world. One you’ll want to return to, even if only to hear the hiss of the woks again. - DIBBA Studio: Weaving Journeys Into Wearable Tales
DIBBA Studio: Weaving Journeys Into Wearable Tales By Anurag Sen DIBBA Studio: Weaving Journeys Into Wearable Tales 10 July 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Since its debut in 2016, DIBBA Studio has carved a space in contemporary fashion through its bold storytelling and arresting prints. The Indonesian label—short for “Dis Better Be Awesome”—has built a signature around seasonally themed collections that fuse Eastern heritage with Western boldness. With its 2025 collection titled Odyssey , presented at Thailand Fashion Week , the studio marked a significant evolution in both ambition and artistry. DIBBA first captured attention in the regional fashion circuit through presentations like its 2024 Silk Road collection at Plaza Indonesia Fashion Week—a journey inspired by ancient Chinese royal motifs, mythical creatures, and symbolic embroideries. That showcase highlighted the label’s knack for translating historical richness into visually compelling forms. It set a precedent for how DIBBA approaches fashion: not just as design, but as narrative. With Odyssey , DIBBA continues that trajectory—expanding its lens to explore broader themes of travel, transformation, and cultural exchange. Each piece in the collection carries a layered identity, where print, color, and silhouette work in tandem to tell a story. A bodice may echo maritime motifs; a flowing skirt may suggest movement, migration, or memory. DIBBA has never shied away from bold color—deep ochres, rusted reds, ocean blues—and Odyssey blends them into a cohesive palette that is at once grounded and curious. Our team, present at the Thailand Fashion Week AW25/26 showcase, witnessed firsthand the way DIBBA Studio translated its design ethos into motion. The silhouettes unfolded in dynamic prints, revealing a choreography of strength and fluidity. Denim corsets strutted alongside mesh-backed dresses, while traditional surface motifs were reimagined through modern tailoring. The visual language spoke clearly: this was a brand grounded in Eastern spirit, yet confidently evolving into global sophistication. This interplay between cultural reverence and contemporary form is what makes DIBBA unique. The studio approaches each season with a strong thematic direction—rooted in research and often interwoven with heritage references—without ever losing sight of wearability. There’s a polish to their storytelling. Even the bolder prints feel measured, the silhouettes balanced, the statement pieces intentional rather than loud. DIBBA’s collections also speak to a generation that seeks substance beneath style. Their garments resonate with fashion lovers who appreciate narrative-driven design—who want to wear something that means something. It’s fashion as conversation, not just commodity. And in that space, DIBBA has found its voice. The debut of Odyssey at Thailand Fashion Week is more than just another show on the calendar—it marks a meaningful chapter in the label’s journey toward international presence. As DIBBA continues to grow, the label retains a sense of rootedness in Indonesian creative identity, using global platforms not to dilute that essence, but to deepen it. This is not a brand chasing trends. It’s a brand shaping its own path—through storytelling, through craftsmanship, and through an ever-expanding curiosity about the world it dresses. With Odyssey , DIBBA Studio steps not only into a new season but into a new tier of global recognition, one defined not by mass appeal but by meaningful impact. In a fashion landscape often cluttered by noise, DIBBA’s clarity stands out. It’s not just about what you see on the runway. It’s about what stays with you after. A story. A feeling. A garment that says more than style—it says journey. And with Odyssey , that journey has only just begun. - Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity
Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the soft embrace of a red drape, kissed by the eternal melody of a flute, Aksstagga breathes life into love and memory. It is not just fashion; it is a heartbeat woven into fabric, a legacy embroidered with devotion, and a story carried through time. It began as a love story, not a business. Anjali and Somil were two souls who collided, then harmonized, like needle and thread dancing together. Their home was not just walls and a roof; it was a sanctuary of dreams, a haven where laughter mingled with creativity. From this sacred space, an idea blossomed to honor the timeless art of hand embroidery, to craft garments that were not just worn but felt, not just seen but remembered. What started as Somanjali Creations was more than a brand; it was a dialogue of love and tradition. Every stitch held the patience of craft and the joy of shared evenings, sketching, stitching, dreaming. It was work, yes, but it was also love, immortalized in every thread. In 2020, the name changed, but the soul remained. Aksstagga was born, a union of memory and material, reflection and thread. It became more than garments; it became a vessel for stories, a way to carry love and remembrance into the world. When Somil left this world in 2023, Aksstagga did not falter. Instead, it became Anjali’s mirror, reflecting the love they shared. In every drape, she felt his presence. In every silhouette, his devotion lived on. Like Radha longing for Krishna, or Shiva and Parvati embodying balance, Aksstagga transformed grief into grace, absence into presence. Today, Aksstagga is not just a design house; it is a living tribute to love that transcends time. Its creations are imbued with divine philosophy, masculine and feminine, form and essence, seen and unseen, all converging into harmony. The red drape, the golden monogram, are not mere symbols; they are sacred reminders that fashion can carry the weight of memory and the depth of devotion. For those who step into the world of Aksstagga, it is not a transaction; it is a journey. You are not just a client; you are a muse, a memory waiting to be honored, a story yearning to be stitched into eternity. “You dream. We reflect,” Anjali says. And in that reflection lies the soul of Aksstagga. What sets Aksstagga apart is not just its craftsmanship but the love and meaning woven into every piece. It is not about fleeting trends; it is about permanence in a world that often forgets its value. Every fabric whispers echoes of love, every embroidery carries devotion, every silhouette reflects a story that lives on through art. For Anjali, the loom is not just a tool; it is a bridge between memory and creation, resilience and legacy. “I was once a princess in my parents’ eyes, then a queen in the arms of my soulmate,” she reflects. “With Somil, I built not just a home but a sanctuary of handwoven dreams. When life unraveled, I found not emptiness but echoes, echoes of love, resilience, and legacy. That is what Aksstagga carries forward.” Aksstagga is not just a brand; it is a testament to love that can be touched, devotion that can be worn, and memory that can take shape in silk and thread. Aksstagga is proof that some love stories don’t fade into memory; they stitch themselves into eternity, one thread at a time. - An Uncontacted Island In India: North Sentinel Island
by Aishwarya by Aishwarya An Uncontacted Island In India: North Sentinel Island 10 February 2023 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In today’s modern world, we all look out for vacation destinations that are close to nature. Maldives and Mauritius are the two islands that will be there in your travel bucket list. What if we say that, there is an island that is banned for tourists? Well, if you were shocked knowing that, then let us take you through the most isolated island in the world; North Sentinel Island. North Sentinel Island is one of the Andaman Islands, located in the Bay of Bengal. It is the part of the Andaman Islands that is voluntarily isolated by its residential tribe. North Sentinel Island is home to the Sentinelese people, who are indigenous people in voluntary isolation. We all love our solitude, but Sentinelese loves their solitude way too much. They are considered to be the only uncontacted tribe in the world. The island is not known to many and the Government of India has also banned tourism over there. Under the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection of Aboriginal Act of 1956, people are prohibited to visit this island. The North Sentinel Island is protected and looked after by the Government of India. Many attempts to visit this island have resulted in violence. There isn’t much information about the island and the government has decided to let them be isolated only. In 2018, the Government of India excluded 29 islands- including North Sentinel- from the Restricted Area Permit region, in an effort of boosting tourism. In November, the government stated that the relaxation of the prohibition was to allow researchers and anthropologists, with pre-approved clearance, to visit North Sentinel. The anthropologists are fascinated by this island as the Sentinelese have not been studied much before. They are violent with the visitors and hence, we don’t even know the exact size of their population. The relaxation of the prohibition was done in the hopes of knowing them and their culture, but the result of it was something different. We humans always have an attraction toward the unknown, and hence, many people traveled to the island illegally. In 2006, the death of two fishermen, Sundar Raj and Pandit Tiwari was reported. It is said that their boats drifted too close to the North Sentinel Island and the Sentinelese attacked them. In a similar incident, an American Christian missionary, John Allen Chau was killed in the year 2018. The case of John Allen Chau took over the news pretty quickly. The 26-year-old, John, invaded the island illegally, with the motive of spreading Christianity. He went there to preach to them about Jesus and was killed by the Sentinelese on November 17th, 2018. The boatmen who took John over there reported that he saw the tribe dragging John’s dead body to the shore. In the same fashion, in 2006, when Sundar and Pandit were killed, they were buried on the shore of North Sentinel Island. The government authorities excavated one body, with great difficulty, and handed it over to his family. The body of John is, however, not found. The officials have opened a murder case but have not arrested anyone yet. John’s diary also reveals that he knew he would die and he has made a statement saying “don’t excavate my body”. One of the most notable events between outsiders and North Sentinel happened in 1981 when the Primrose cargo ship struck a nearby coral reef- north sentinel is covered with coral reef- shipwrecking sailors for nearly two weeks. The sailors were also attacked by the Sentinelese, and it is also known that they used the ship's debris to make metal tools. There have been more than 11 such violent cases that happened on North Sentinel Island. It is believed that they have their language, Sentinelese. It is an undescribed language and due to the lack of contact, nothing is known of their language and its vitality. After the incidents of violence, India ceased visits in 1997. The first peaceful contact with the Sentinelese was on 4th January 1991. Triloknath, a director of the Anthropological Survey of India, and his colleagues were the first ones to have peaceful contact with them. He also says that the contact didn’t bring much of the secrets out, because they weren’t allowing them to reach them. One more miraculous fact about North Sentinel Island is that it survived the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. The Indian government sent some helicopters to see their situation and give them food, but the tribe attacked the helicopter and swayed off the government officials too. While the much-developed cities suffered due to the tsunami, the North Sentinel Island- covered by water on all sides- survived it. Maybe, that is the reason we say that nature protects us when we live with it in alignment. The Sentinelese tribe is known to be the last hunter and gatherer civilization to exist. The government has now banned any tourist visits, respecting their desire to be isolated. It is also said that they are not immune to the pathogens of modern society, which makes them prone to modern-day diseases. While we desire to explore every part of the earth, it is better to leave some of the places on their own; untouched, uncontacted and unknown. BLOB An island that remains uncontacted, unknown till the date. Let’s know about North Sentinel Island, an island that is nonetheless a mystery to the human race. - The planet’s number one choice of beverage
by Aparajita Jaiswal The planet’s number one choice of beverage 7 July 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Is coffee just a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans? A love of all things connected with coffee has brought both large and small companies into the world of coffee production and trading. Coffee culture is constantly changing as coffee drinkers seek new ways to enjoy their favorite beverage. People get together for a cup of coffee and a whole cosmos of conversations. In North America and a lot of western European countries, Starbucks and other coffee chains have dominated the market because they are providing to the customers a complete experience around coffee. Coffee and friends, coffee and work, coffee and snacks and coffee to go! The Irish mix coffee with whiskey and they call it “Irish coffee”. In Italy the espresso and espresso machine were born and made into the favorite whole-day beverage of Italians. In Greece, there is an old fashioned coffee shop for old gentlemen, the “kafenio”, where they drink Greek coffee and exchange political ideas or they play cards and a board game called “tavli”. Also, some countries, like Colombia or Brazil, the whole economy is based in coffee. Although, the majority of coffee is produced in Brazil. It produces 40% of the world’s coffee. Interestingly enough, the word espresso comes from Italian and means “expressed” or “forced out”. Espresso is made by forcing very hot water under high pressure through finely ground, compacted coffee. Wherein, the cappuccino was named after Capuchin friars because its color resembles the Capuchin robe. Contrary to the popular belief, dark roast and light roast coffee actually have a similar amount of caffeine. “Coffee – the favorite drink of the civilized world.” – Thomas Jefferson Historically, the word ‘coffee’ comes from the Arabic word ‘qahwah’ which refers to a type of wine. Before coffee became widely available, the popular breakfast drink was beer. No one knows exactly how or when coffee was discovered, though there are many legends about its origin. It is said that coffee grown worldwide can trace its heritage back centuries to the ancient coffee forests on the Ethiopian plateau. Legend believes, the goat herder, Kaldi, first discovered the potential of these beloved beans. The story goes that that Kaldi discovered coffee after he noticed that after eating the berries from a certain tree, his goats became so energetic that they did not want to sleep at night. Kaldi reported his findings to the abbot of the local monastery, who made a drink with the berries and found that it kept him alert through the long hours of evening prayer. The abbot shared his discovery with the other monks at the monastery, and knowledge of the energising berries began a journey which would bring these beans across the globe. Before people learned how to brew coffee, east African tribes mixed coffee berries with animal fat and consumed it as food. It takes a lot to brew the perfect cup of coffee. Some of the best coffee in the world comes from high-quality beans and unique processing methods. Each of these specialty coffees is known for their distinct flavour and aroma, as well as their high price tag. “Kopi Luwak” is the most expensive coffee in the world. It comes from Indonesia and is made from beans digested from the Asian Palm Civet. In other words, it comes from cat poop. It sells for €350 and up per kilo! Another one of the most expensive coffee in the world is Black Ivory Coffee. It can cost up to $1,100 per kilogram. This coffee is produced from part-digested coffee cherries eaten and defecated by Thai elephants. “Beethoven was such an ardent coffee lover that he’d count 60 beans per cup before making his brew.” Not only can your daily cup of joe help you feel more energised, burn fat and improve physical performance, it may also lower your risk of several conditions, such as type 2 diabetes, cancer and Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. In fact, coffee may even boost longevity. A study by the University of Texas has found that men who drank two cups a day were 42 per cent less likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction compared to men who didn’t. Studies have shown that drinking coffee may lower your risk of depression. Globally people consume about 2.25 billion cups of coffee every day. Coffee is most effective if you drink it between 9:30 and 11:30 AM. Scientists have now successfully turned ground coffee into bio-diesel, so one day coffee may be fuelling your car. Historical facts about coffee are almost unbelievable but very true like for example coffee was banned in Mecca in 1511 as it was believed to stimulate radical thinking and idleness. In ancient Arab culture, a woman could only divorce her husband if he didn’t like her coffee. Another strange fact is the Guinness World record holder for the “Oldest Cat Ever,” a 38-year-old cat named Crème Puff; drank coffee every morning her whole life. #CoffeeCoffeebeansBrazilEspressoBeverageBrazil SEARCH How to keep your skin healthy naturally FOOD Fantasy breakfast FOOD All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages FOOD Virgin Territory: These non-alcoholic thirst quenchers are mixologist approved FOOD Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails FOOD POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Breeze By Lebua State Tower: Duck Skin, Oolong, And The Distance Between Who You Are And Who You Were 9 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape China Table Restaurant At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok: A Dim Sum Story At Dusk 7 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape The Blooming Gallery: A Fever Dream Of Matcha And Moss 15 August 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape Thiptara At The Peninsula Bangkok: Thai Soul By The River 28 July 2025 FOOD RELATED POSTS Advertisement

- Skincare: The Ultimate Morning Beauty Routine
Skincare: The Ultimate Morning Beauty Routine by Priti Sharma Skincare: The Ultimate Morning Beauty Routine 10 December 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The most crucial thing you can do for your complexion is to develop a solid skincare routine, according to any dermatologist (or finicky beauty editor). And while everyone knows they should remove their makeup and use a night cream before bed, their morning skincare procedures are frequently inadequate. Blame it on our love of the snooze button, but sometimes getting out of bed, putting on some BB cream, and rushing out the door is all we can manage (grabbing coffee on the way). Now stop making excuses! We've created the ideal morning skincare regimen, which consists of 10 steps and will give you gloriously bright skin. We're confident you'll notice benefits if you stick to this strategy for two weeks. Step one: Exercise Even though you may not want to hear it, morning exercise promotes good circulation by boosting blood flow AND lowering stress. Your complexion will have a healthy shine for the rest of the day if you can get your heart rate up. We adore quick, furious HIIT exercises like the one from Cassey Ho because they're the ideal way to work up a sweat and improve the appearance of our skin. Step two: Hydrate Drink two glasses of water instead of two cups of coffee first thing in the morning (you'll likely need them straight after your workout). Your whole health depends on drinking adequate water, and dehydration is most noticeable in your skin's dullness, dryness, and breakouts. Making sure you hydrate in the morning makes you feel lovely and sets you up for successful skin for the rest of the day. Step three: Cleanse In order to remove any leftover germs, grime, or makeup from the previous night, you must wash your face in the morning. We enjoy cleansing our face in the morning with a mild oil-based cleanser to avoid overdrying it. Use lukewarm water to rinse; really hot or cold water might dry up your skin. With a clean towel reserved ONLY for drying your face, pat dry. Step four: Exfoliate You can exfoliate your face without a piece of expensive equipment if you're interested in beauty secrets. A cotton washcloth exfoliates the face just enough without irritating the skin and is soft enough to use daily. Then, wring out the washcloth so that it is damp but not dripping, and rub your face in tiny circular motions, beginning at your nose and moving outward to your temples, forehead, and chin. The massage movement will assist reduce any morning face puffiness and sloughing off any dead skin cells. Never again, swollen face! Step five: Cleanse again It's time for more cleansing, you heard us. You don't want to leave any dead skin on your face after exfoliation, do you? Without a doubt. This time, apply a very mild cream cleanser and massage it in tiny circular motions before rinsing it off thoroughly with warm water. Take a moment to admire how clean your skin is as you pat your face dry once more with a fresh face cloth. Step six: Tone This step is particularly crucial if you have oily or acne-prone skin since toner will help balance your skin and prevent it from overproducing oils. You don't want your skin to get dry, regardless of the kind, so be sure to select an alcohol-free solution. To find components that are calming for the skin, look for products that contain chamomile, hibiscus extract, and vitamin E. Apply toner on a cotton ball and gently sweep it over your face and neck to use. Do not ever wash your face! Step seven: Serum Serums are significant, as many people frequently enquire. Using a good serum is the best approach to get bright, beautiful skin since serums have higher concentrations of active ingredients than moisturizers or cleansers do. There is a specific recipe for you whether you want to repair sun damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, or even brighten your skin tone. A crucial hint is that applying the serum is just as essential as using the right recipe. Apply two to three pumps into your palm and gently rub it (if necessary) to warm and combine it between your palms. Then, gently apply the serum over your face, going from the nose outward. Do not rub. This makes sure that all those healthy elements really work their way into the body rather than just being spread around. Continue with the following step after waiting three to five minutes for the serum to absorb completely. Step eight: SPF Never, ever forgo sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or you plan to spend most of the day indoors. Let's prevent that if we can because even minor sun damage now can result in wrinkles, sunspots, a poor complexion, and probable melanoma in the future. Find a product with an SPF of at least 15, and we like anything above 30. If you want to use a standard cream or spray-on sunscreen, you should apply it similarly to how you would a serum: spray or squirt some of the product into the palm of your hand, massage your hands together, then gently press the sunscreen onto your face and neck. Better still, if the moisturizer you favor has an integrated SPF. Gently massage it over your face (don't rub) and feel accomplished by combining two elements of your ideal skincare regimen. Don't forget, though, that UV damage isn't only a concern for your face. Apply SPF on the tops of your feet if you're wearing open shoes, your chest, the backs of your hands, your exposed legs, and your scalp, where your hair grows. Avoid burns today for beautiful skin tomorrow! Step nine: Moisturize You've already accomplished this if you used a moisturizer with SPF; congrats! A mild moisturizer is mostly for daytime usage for everyone else. It prevents your skin from drying out during the day and helps it seem attractive and dewy beneath your makeup. Smooth your moisturizer over your face, neck, and chest, being careful to pat it on rather than rubbing it on the sensitive area around your eyes. Step ten: Primer The last stage! Primer is crucial since it not only hides fine lines and fills up pores, but also offers a flawless foundation for the rest of your makeup. Some primers even have skincare components integrated into them so you may enhance your complexion while ensuring the longevity of your foundation. Primers are frequently silicone-based; if you have silicone sensitivity, do your research to be sure the product you choose won't cause you to break out. Think of a pea-sized quantity of primer as being sufficient for most applications. Apply the primer to your skin (including your eyelids) with your two index fingers, paying additional attention to any very uneven areas. Allow two to three minutes for it to set, and then voila! You’re ready to apply your makeup, and your skin is ready to face the day. #Fashion #Skincare #MorningRoutine #Beauty #Skin #Makeup #Primer #Moisturize #SPF SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement
- All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages
by Rupashree Ravi All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages 2 August 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement From being gut-friendly and improving digestion to keeping you hydrated and healthy, there are a number of reasons why fermented beverages are finding favour with people all across the world. More and more people are drinking and making non-alcoholic beverages as it offers a host of benefits. Homebrewing, which is simply making beer or wine on a personal and small-scale level, is a hobby and a profession for many. The reason is, that it is high on flavour, low on alcohol, and does not require any fancy equipment. The process of fermenting and making probiotic drinks is very easy, anyone can do it. Homebrewing has become a great hobby and experiment that people are taking up in recent days. The basic idea is to brew a taste test batch of your favourite beverage at your home, be it Kombucha, Tepache, Ginger Beer, Red Table Wine, among a wide variety of options. It can be intimidating at first, but can be very rewarding, and cheap! All you really need is a big vessel, something fermentable, and some yeast. “There are a variety of beverages you can brew and once you get the basics down, it can be simple to add your own unique twist to a recipe.” A great way to start is by brewing a Hard Cider. The easiest method is crushing the juice from a batch of apples, putting it in a jug, and letting it ferment in a dark place for one to three weeks. Apple skins contain various natural yeasts, which end up in the apple juice when the fruit is pressed, but you can choose to add cider yeast which is great for fermentation. You can also add sugar and spices to enhance the taste. Another brewer’s favourite is the Kombucha, which is a great alternative to alcoholic beverages. It is naturally packed with probiotics and is made with water, tea, sugar, bacteria, and yeast. It starts out as a sugary tea, which is then fermented with the help of a SCOBY, an acronym for ‘Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast.’ It is refreshing, fizzy, slightly sour, and low in calories and sugar. You can ferment Kombucha for seven to ten days in a mason jar and close it shut with a tightly woven cloth and lid. Tepache is a fizzy fermented drink made from just pineapple skin, sugar, cinnamon, and water. Its taste can range from cider-like and sweet to yeasty like beer. The process is simple: add pineapple peels to a large jar, add sugar and cinnamon and drown them in water until the peels come to the surface of the jar. Let it ferment for one to three days. The longer it ferments, the less sweet and more yeast-flavoured it will become. You will know the tepache has fermented when you see many small bubbles on top. Refrigerate and enjoy your drink! A batch of Kombucha (left) and Tepache (right) kept for fermentation A sparking probiotic beverage that is very easy to make, Ginger Beer is a traditional remedy for nausea and digestion problems and is good for the throat. You will need to make a powerful fermented mixture, Ginger Bug to make this drink. The wild yeast or ginger bug is made by adding water, sugar, and finely chopped ginger to a glass container and letting it sit for twenty-four hours after stirring. Take the next two-three days to add the same amount of ginger and sugar every twenty-four hours until it becomes fizzy. Strain it and add lemon juice. Let it sit at room temperature for three to six days until it gets fizzy. Once they’ve reached that point, you can refrigerate them; but make sure you’re opening the top and burping them once a day. Ginger Beer and Red Table Wine are said to be great for health having healing properties To make a batch of Red Table Wine, add one cup of sugar into a bottle of purple grape juice, add a packet of wine yeast, pop in an airlock, and come back in a few weeks. Alternatively, you can add around three quarts of the juice to a glass jar, before adding six cups of sugar and a pack of yeast. With these amazing and easy-to-make beverages, you can start homebrewing some of your own in no time. It’s a healthy hobby and is definitely a skill that comes over a period of time. Ultimately, it will be worth all the time and effort. Moreover, it is the best way to take part in an age old tradition that stretches all the way back to the Neolithic! #Homebrewing #Fermentation #Probiotic #Kombucha #SCOBY #Tepache SEARCH How to keep your skin healthy naturally FOOD Fantasy breakfast FOOD All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages FOOD Virgin Territory: These non-alcoholic thirst quenchers are mixologist approved FOOD Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails FOOD POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Breeze By Lebua State Tower: Duck Skin, Oolong, And The Distance Between Who You Are And Who You Were 9 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape China Table Restaurant At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok: A Dim Sum Story At Dusk 7 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape The Blooming Gallery: A Fever Dream Of Matcha And Moss 15 August 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape Thiptara At The Peninsula Bangkok: Thai Soul By The River 28 July 2025 FOOD RELATED POSTS Advertisement
