Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview by Aparajita Jaiswal Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview 6 April 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Barkha Singh , an actor, and content creator, digs up some fewer known facts and details about her journey with interviewer Kavya Gupta. The conversation gets more exciting as Barkha discusses her YouTube Channel, her growth as an actor and a content creator, her experience shooting with Sushmita Sen and much more! Barkha Singh started her career in acting in 2015 in an MTV show. She claims that her Instagram and YouTube Content Creation were “by-products” of her acting experience. “Because of the MTV show, my Instagram handle suddenly started, skyrocketing. I was growing 20k-30k every day on Instagram. Before this, I didn’t even know content creation is a “scene” and people can do all this. I think very few people like Ashish in India had started it. Adding to this, Barkha gives us details about her inspiration to start her YouTube channel, “Because my followers started growing, the people managing me at that time, they made me realise like that since I travel so much and anyways shooting travel content, I can just upload it in one place on the YouTube channel and I was very much against starting a YouTube channel thinking I won’t be able do all of it (auditions, shooting, Instagram and YouTube and they were like, shut up and do it. As I started uploading more and more content, many tourists and boards of different countries started reaching out to me to create content on my YouTube channel. After that, I got great views you know so that’s when I decided this was the best way to make my love for travel sustainable.” When asked what she looks for in a new project before signing yes to it, Barkha reveals that other than the standard considerations regarding production and platform, the storyline and character offered to her plays an extremely important role. Barkha has had the opportunity to work alongside Sushmita Sen and claims and claims she had a wonderful experience. While contributing to wildlife and nature are some of her alternate interests, Barkha digs deeper by expressing the challenges one faces in the show industry. “I think, at least for me the most challenging part is showing restraint. A lot of people say it’s very important to select the right project. So, that is most challenging because as an actor you’re tempted to do every project that comes your way . Having the ability to pick and choose your projects is something that I feel is very challenging because every character requires a different dialect and a whole lot of work. I never bring up long hours, travel, staying away or not having weekends as challenges because all of that comes as part and parcel of being an actor. However, I think having to choose between projects and having gauze which one is good for you is most challenging thing according to me.” An eye catcher in this interview is the revelation of some of Barkha’s cherished and note-worthy accomplishments such as being a 12th board exam merit list holder and topping Maharashtra, raising awareness, and educating people for animal welfare, having the courage to make a shift into the web space and maintaining a healthy body lifestyle in terms of meditation, yoga and a fitness regime. Concluding the interview, Barkha also told us about some of her future goals and projects “One project that has already been announced by Jio Studios is The Great Wedding of Munnes which will release later this year. I am very excited about it. The entire look of the character I am playing is very interesting. It is like nothing anyone has ever seen me before in.” Booming with positive energy and quirkiness, Barkha Singh ends the interview with a heart-warming message for her fans- “YOLO. Everyone should really believe in living in the present moment. There is no point in spending time over-thinking. If you want to do something, do it now, don’t waste time procrastinating. If you feel like doing something, trust your gut and go for it!” SEARCH A Journey Shaped By Courage, Creativity, And Social Media With Aditi Sharma COVER STORIES Inner Joy Trails My Inspiration : A Candid Conversation With The Creative Anushka Kaushik COVER STORIES Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview COVER STORIES Educate, Empower, Excel: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's Inspirational Overture COVER STORIES Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey COVER STORIES POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash 4 October 2025 COVER STORIES By Anurag Sen Vivian Dsena: The Fluke Star Who Became Television’s Undying Heartthrob 25 September 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree 22 August 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Off Script, On Truth: Anshumaan Pushkar In His Own Words 30 June 2025 COVER STORIES RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement

- Farhan Khan: Where Poetry Meets Hip-Hop, And Stories Come Alive
Farhan Khan: Where Poetry Meets Hip-Hop, And Stories Come Alive By Sakshi Batra Farhan Khan: Where Poetry Meets Hip-Hop, And Stories Come Alive 10 February 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement “Main Toh Hoon Shayar, Bata Deta Baatein, Par Kambakht Woh Kaise Sambhalega” This isn’t just a line from Farhan Khan - it’s a glimpse into his soul. A poet who wears his heart on his sleeve, a rapper who turns life’s chaos into a rhythm, and an artist who tells stories with every verse, Farhan Khan isn’t your typical creative. He’s a force of nature, a whirlwind of emotions, ideas, and untamed passion. So, who is Farhan Khan? He’s not just a rapper, poet, or actor. He’s a storyteller who turns heartbreak into poetry, struggles into inspiration, and every experience into a masterpiece. This is the story of the man who refuses to be boxed in who lives to bring something extraordinary to the table every single time. A Life Beyond Boundaries Farhan's father, a ghazal writer and tailor, played a big role in shaping his journey. He also looks up to the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Nusrat Sahab) for inspiration. While others tried to set limits for him, Farhan never believed in boundaries. For him, art is limitless, a space where he can explore anything, from love and spirituality to deep emotions, both good and bad. A Wall, A Dream, A Turning Point At the age of 16, Farhan made a declaration that changed everything. Scrawled on the wall of his room was a simple yet powerful promise: “I will come on TV & become an actor.” It wasn’t just graffiti; it was a vision. Farhan dove into the world of art and music, fuelled by his relentless desire to express himself. Though his family initially hesitated to support his unconventional dreams, they couldn’t ignore his passion. Farhan recalls his days working at his father’s tailoring shop, where he not only learned the value of hard work but also developed a business mindset that complements his artistic endeavours. The Birth Of “The Last Khan Sahab Show” Farhan’s debut album, “ The Last Khan Sahab Show” , is more than just music- it’s an entire world. Drawing inspiration from his father’s nickname, “Khan Sahab”, the album’s title pays homage to his roots and was appreciated by artists like Badshah and Raftaar . Farhan introduces the iconic Khan Sahab character as a one-time phenomenon, marking the end of its journey with a poignant farewell. Through the track “Rudali” , he performs the metaphorical last rites for the character, signalling the end of an era and paving the way for a fresh chapter with new stories and personas. The album then transitions to the song “Jannat”, where Farhan and a friend share a candid conversation about his love life, setting the stage for the unfolding tale of “Alif and Laila”. What truly sets this album apart is its immersive storytelling. Each song brings a character to life, every lyric unravels a narrative, and every beat pulls you deeper into Farhan’s creative universe. The Stories Behind The Songs Farhan’s albums don’t just feature tracks - they unfold like movies. One of his most intriguing storylines revolves around Alif & Laila, set against the backdrop of the 80s. Take the iconic Jawab de , a track that weaves a tale of heartbreak, longing, and redemption. Farhan’s alter-ego, Alif, questions his love, Laila, with raw, piercing words: “Woh Tujhe Chhoota Hai, Jaise Main Chhoota Tha Waise, Kya Uske Bhi Seene Pe Soti Ho, Zulfein Hatata Hai, Tere Chehre Se?” The album doesn’t just stop at heartbreak. It dives deeper into emotions, exploring betrayal, love, and self-reflection, followed by the most iconic “ Ajnabi.” “Ajnabi Sa Ye Ehsas Hai, Badnasibi Na Tu Sath Hai, Shah Ki Daulat Tu Hi Thi Sanam Ab, Bas Fakeeri Na Kuch Pas Hai” The narrative takes unexpected turns, from Alif’s heartfelt confessions to dramatic confrontations. In “Aankhon Ne Maara”, Laila realizes Alif’s love for her still burns strong, even as the world conspires against them. Farhan’s ability to create entire worlds within his music makes him stand apart in the industry. “For me, rap and poetry are ways to tell stories. They give me freedom and a unique perspective,” he explains. In Cigarette , Farhan masterfully uses the imagery of smoking as a metaphor for loneliness: “Ab toh bas hum dono hi hain, ek main aur ek meri cigarette.” This song, which took weeks to perfect, is Farhan’s personal favourite. It’s a hauntingly beautiful reminder of how art can turn pain into poetry. A Blend Of Old And New Farhan’s artistry is a kaleidoscope of influences. His father’s love for ghazals and the timeless magic of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan laid the foundation. Bollywood legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan ignited his love for cinema, while the directory of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Imtiaz Ali inspired him the most in his storytelling. But Farhan isn’t here to follow trends. “Doing what everyone else does would make me lose my essence,” he says. “I want to bring something new to the table every time.” Passion For Fashion Farhan has personally designed the outfits for his albums, drawing on his experience working in his father’s shop. With this background in tailoring and a keen eye for fashion, he has a natural flair for creating unique ensembles and dreams of designing outfits that reflect his artistic vision. This philosophy extends to his love for fashion. Farhan dreams of collaborating with brands like Raymond, Siyaram and Manyavar , bringing back the charm of kurta-pyjamas with a modern twist. His vision? To revive traditions and merge them with contemporary art forms. The Man Behind The Music Offstage, Farhan is a simple man with a love for good food and heartfelt cinema. His favourite dish? Nalli Nihari is famously known as the warrior’s food. But nothing beats his mother’s tomato gosht, a dish he cherishes deeply. Growing up, Farhan often skipped school to catch Bollywood movies at the nearest cinema. His favourite films, like Devdas and Black Mirror, reflect his love for grand storytelling. What’s Next? Farhan’s journey is far from over. He’s gearing up to expand the Alif Laila saga “I want each album to surprise people, to bring something they’ve never experienced before,” he says with excitement. With every project, Farhan Khan continues to blur the lines between music, poetry, and storytelling. His work is a celebration of art in all its forms, a testament to his belief that creativity knows no boundaries. The Legacy Of Farhan Khan Farhan Khan is not just an artist, he’s a phenomenon. From his heartfelt lyrics to his groundbreaking narratives, he’s redefining what it means to be creative in today’s world. As he continues to surprise us with his artistry, one thing is clear - Farhan Khan is here to leave an indelible mark, not just on the industry but on everyone who experiences his work. Because when Farhan speaks, writes, or raps, the world listens. And as he says, “Dilbar Ko Dur Nhi Karte, Dil Tod Kar Choor Nahi Karte, Sab Kehte Par Main Manta Nai, Tum Humko Bhool Nahi Sakte, Aise Majboor Nahi Karte” Indeed, the world may find it hard to handle the brilliance of Farhan Khan. Anticipating the birth of a new era and more of his extraordinary creations. - Dubai Fashion Week Day 2 - Fashion, Storytelling And Everything In Between
Dubai Fashion Week Day 2 - Fashion, Storytelling And Everything In Between By Aarti Singh Dubai Fashion Week Day 2 - Fashion, Storytelling And Everything In Between 14 February 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Fashion is and has always been about so much more than mere clothes- it is about expression, storytelling, statements, romance and beyond. And it would only make sense when the biggest fashion affairs channelise this. When immaculate craftsmanship is paired with depth and meaning, that is what goes down in the book of posterity, and you and I are the witnesses! The Dubai Fashion Week Autumn/ Winter 25-26 commenced with a glamorous gravitas, and the glitz and glam only grew further. On February 3rd, 2025, Dubai Fashion Week brought together the newer and emerging designers and the internationally known and acclaimed designers to share the same stage. Or ramp, in this case, setting a tone of global togetherness. NIF Global Launches The Day With A Sustainable Initiative Along with the divine and poetic displays by Paolo Sebastian , Weinsanto and Aintoinne Kareh , there was a hint of modernity served by a collaborative effort between the New York Institute of Fashion and the London School of Trends. This modernity, combined with thoughtfulness and awareness, paved the way for their showcase titled “Launchpad”. The showcase stood witness to young NIF Global designers representing India’s diverse cultural landscapes. The partnership was an array of innovative collections that presented a wonderful seamless fusion of luxury and sustainability. It was led by a 40-piece collection that redefined heritage craftsmanship like handwoven textiles and exquisite embroidery accompanied by more modern silhouettes for a more global audience. It was a play on sustainability by indulging eco-friendly fabrics with intricate craftsmanship and trend-forward designs. Paolo Sebastian Puts Australia On The Mark Hosting its first Australian designer ever, Dubai Fashion Week welcomed Paolo Sebastian with a showcase of a scenic blend between romance and contemporary elegance, paired with dreamy silhouettes, ethereal illusion tulle and fairytale-inspired designs that left the spectators in awe. It beautifully presented the essence of the designer’s signature style as it was a mirror to the flawless blend of tradition and modern innovation, transporting everyone in the audience to a world of fantasy. Weinsanto Brings Parisian Romance To Dubai Runway Bringing the French Parisian charm to the stage, DFW member Victor Weinsanto enraptured the spectators with his “Cauchemar in the Kitchen” collection, integrating the Georges kitchen theme into his designs. Weinsanto blended his signature style with modern Parisian suaveness. He drew inspiration from the venerated motifs of the world-famous Maxim restaurant, the collection showcased his jubilant print, a refined colour palette, with convoluted Nouveau-inspired embroidery. The entire showcase was a direct portrayal of the designer’s craft and creativity, mingled with art and storytelling. Antoinne Kareh Executes Visual Poetry “The Guardian Shadow” by Antoinne Kareh combined fashion with poetry to deliver an artfully explored showcase based on the interplay between light and darkness. The designer drew inspiration from the conceptuality of how shadow accompanies every individual and watches over them like Guardian Angels. The showcase depicted how shadows are pivotal for defining form, depth and dimensions. Kareh brought a sense of altruistic realism and vivacity to the pieces by adding fluid, flowy silhouettes and contrasts throughout the pieces. Velvety Couture’s Homage To Zaha Hadid’s Legacy The day was concluded with Velvety Couture ’s collection, which was inspired by Zaha Hadid’s Heydar Aliyev Center. The showcase aimed to unveil the blend between architecture and fashion, translating fluid curves with dynamic designs. The abundance of elegance can be seen with fabrics like chiffon, taffeta and velvet in white, black, grey and silver palettes to give it that richness and depth. All the designers presented an amalgamation of fashion with romance, poetry and depth- which is also what we are mostly made of. That is exactly why fairytales appeal to us: we look for romance, and what better place to find it than in the very expression of self? The second day came to an exuberant finish, but the showcase of fashion is anything but halted because with lineups like such, all one does is wait for the next day! - Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree
Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree By Ananya Patankar Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree 22 August 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement The first thing you notice about Christine Gulasatree isn’t her beauty, though she has the kind of presence that can hold a camera lens still. It’s the energy—the restless spark she carries into a room, alive and uncontainable. It radiates in the way she speaks, in the way she moves, in the way her story keeps unfolding as if one medium could never be enough to contain it. Model. Actress. Singer-songwriter. Each of those titles fits her, but none of them capture her whole. To meet Christine is to understand that she’s less interested in labels than in the art of becoming. She is, above all, a storyteller—one who has learned that expression doesn’t need boundaries, only honesty. “I feel like I’m just a human who loves to do a lot of activities. An enthusiastic human,” she says with an easy laugh, brushing off the weight of a résumé that would intimidate most at 29. That humility disguises more than a decade of persistence, of carving out space in industries where resilience is the only currency. Born and raised in Bangkok, Christine grew up at the intersection of cultures—Thai, Chinese, and German—where expression was encouraged, and curiosity was never a fault. By fifteen, she had stepped into the whirlwind of modeling, chasing both ambition and the thrill of doing what few around her dared. “I didn’t know much about the industry, only that it looked cool and exciting,” she remembers. What followed was a baptism by fire. The fashion world was sharp, quick, and unforgiving. Christine stayed anyway. “Maybe I just wanted to prove people wrong,” she admits. “But then I realized it wasn’t about them—it was about me. About building the life I wanted.” Her look—delicate yet commanding—made her a fixture on Bangkok’s runways and in campaigns. Modeling gave her a stage, but not a voice. That hunger for more creative avenues eventually led her elsewhere. By 2018, Christine was no longer just striding under spotlights but standing in front of film cameras, playing her first role in The Judgement , a Thai drama. The shift was revelatory. “Acting was different from modeling. With acting, you can inhabit emotions that aren’t yours. You can tell stories that cut deeper than appearances. I loved that.” One role led to another— Wolf (2019), Pattaya Heat (2024)—each step sharpening her craft. But it was Netflix’s Reverse 4 You , a fantasy-romance released in 2024, that altered the trajectory of her career. Christine had her first leading role, and with it, a younger, more devoted audience. “When I became an actress two years ago, I suddenly had young fans,” she recalls, her voice softening. “And I realized I didn’t just want to entertain. I wanted to be real. I wanted to be a role model.” That desire to connect—to inspire—pushed her into music. For Christine, songwriting became something rawer than scripts or runways, a place to pour the unfiltered pieces of herself. “Music feels like my most honest form of expression,” she explains. “Modeling and acting are beautiful, but they’re interpretations of something outside me. Music is just me.” To her, there’s no divide between these worlds. They’re simply different branches of the same restless spirit, each one allowing her to step into a new version of herself. Her inspirations, she says, were there all along—in films she watched as a child, in music that echoed through her home, even in toys that carried stories of their own. “Those things made me want to create something of my own one day,” she smiles. That day, it seems, has arrived. Now, whether she’s walking a runway, embodying a character, or strumming out melodies, Christine’s compass is the same: authenticity. She wants to remind others—especially young women—that identity is not fixed, and the courage to evolve is its own art form. “I’m still learning, still growing,” she says, unafraid of the uncertainty. “But if I can show people, especially young girls, that it’s okay to take your own path—no matter how many times it changes—then that’s enough.” For Christine Gulasatree, the future isn’t about narrowing down to one label. It’s about claiming them all, without apology. A model who dares to act. An actress who dares to sing. A storyteller who refuses to stay in one lane. A restless, luminous spirit who keeps proving that passion, when paired with courage, always finds its voice. - Is Africa The Next World Leader In Fashion
Is Africa The Next World Leader In Fashion By Anushka Sharma Is Africa The Next World Leader In Fashion 20 March 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the vibrant tapestry of global fashion, Africa's presence is increasingly prominent, painting a picture of creativity, innovation, and economic prowess. With a burgeoning youth population, rapid urbanization, and the infusion of digital technologies, the continent's fashion landscape is undergoing a seismic transformation, poised to emerge as a formidable leader in the global fashion arena. From the bustling streets of Abidjan to the chic boulevards of Nairobi in Kenya, African cities are not only economic hubs but also veritable crucibles of fashion and design innovation. Despite facing challenges such as limited investment, nascent educational systems, and the imperative need for intellectual property protection, Africa's potential to shape the future of fashion remains undeniable. UNESCO's seminal report, "The African Fashion Sector: Trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth," unveiled in October 2023, illuminates the continent's trajectory towards fashion supremacy. Africa boasts a rich tapestry of raw materials, with 37 out of 54 countries producing cotton, rendering it a significant player in the global textile market. Moreover, the continent serves as both an exporter and importer of textiles, with a trade volume indicative of its burgeoning influence. A notable trend highlighted in the report is the growing demand for "Made-in-Africa" fashion, particularly among the youth demographic, who account for a significant portion of the continent's population. The burgeoning middle class further fuels this demand, catalyzing the emergence of new consumer markets and amplifying Africa's fashion footprint on the global stage. The digital revolution sweeping across Africa plays a pivotal role in fostering intra-continental trade and nurturing young talent. With 32 Fashion Weeks held annually, the continent serves as a crucible for haute couture, craftsmanship, and sartorial expression. The report forecasts a staggering 42 percent surge in demand for African haute couture over the next decade, underscoring the continent's rising prominence in the global fashion echelon. Despite the palpable momentum, UNESCO identifies four critical challenges that necessitate strategic interventions to unleash Africa's fashion potential. The most critical amongst these challenges is the imperative to bolster legal protections for designers and industry professionals, encompassing intellectual property rights, fair remuneration, improved working conditions, and the facilitation of professional unions. Investment in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) emerges as the second imperative, considering that these enterprises comprise 90 percent of Africa's fashion sector. Beyond their economic significance, SMEs serve as custodians of cultural diversity and are pivotal in fostering local employment opportunities, particularly for the continent's burgeoning youth population. Addressing environmental sustainability constitutes the third challenge outlined by UNESCO. While the fashion industry remains a significant contributor to environmental degradation, Africa possesses untapped potential to harness local materials, innovate sustainable textiles, and promote eco-conscious consumption patterns. Notably, the production of organic cotton fiber in Africa surged by 90 percent between 2019 and 2020, signaling a burgeoning movement towards sustainability within the continent's fashion landscape. Moreover, the report underscores the need to establish robust recycling channels to mitigate the environmental impact of the second-hand clothing market, which represents a significant segment of global imports. With 40 percent of discarded garments ending up in landfills, enhancing recycling infrastructure is imperative to foster a circular economy within the fashion industry. In conclusion, Africa stands at the precipice of a transformative epoch in the global fashion narrative. With its rich cultural heritage, burgeoning talent pool, and excellent, growing consumer base, the continent possesses all the prerequisites to ascend as a world leader in fashion. By surmounting challenges, fostering innovation, and embracing sustainability, Africa's fashion renaissance heralds a new dawn of creativity, inclusivity, and economic prosperity on the global stage. - All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages
by Rupashree Ravi All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages 2 August 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement From being gut-friendly and improving digestion to keeping you hydrated and healthy, there are a number of reasons why fermented beverages are finding favour with people all across the world. More and more people are drinking and making non-alcoholic beverages as it offers a host of benefits. Homebrewing, which is simply making beer or wine on a personal and small-scale level, is a hobby and a profession for many. The reason is, that it is high on flavour, low on alcohol, and does not require any fancy equipment. The process of fermenting and making probiotic drinks is very easy, anyone can do it. Homebrewing has become a great hobby and experiment that people are taking up in recent days. The basic idea is to brew a taste test batch of your favourite beverage at your home, be it Kombucha, Tepache, Ginger Beer, Red Table Wine, among a wide variety of options. It can be intimidating at first, but can be very rewarding, and cheap! All you really need is a big vessel, something fermentable, and some yeast. “There are a variety of beverages you can brew and once you get the basics down, it can be simple to add your own unique twist to a recipe.” A great way to start is by brewing a Hard Cider. The easiest method is crushing the juice from a batch of apples, putting it in a jug, and letting it ferment in a dark place for one to three weeks. Apple skins contain various natural yeasts, which end up in the apple juice when the fruit is pressed, but you can choose to add cider yeast which is great for fermentation. You can also add sugar and spices to enhance the taste. Another brewer’s favourite is the Kombucha, which is a great alternative to alcoholic beverages. It is naturally packed with probiotics and is made with water, tea, sugar, bacteria, and yeast. It starts out as a sugary tea, which is then fermented with the help of a SCOBY, an acronym for ‘Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast.’ It is refreshing, fizzy, slightly sour, and low in calories and sugar. You can ferment Kombucha for seven to ten days in a mason jar and close it shut with a tightly woven cloth and lid. Tepache is a fizzy fermented drink made from just pineapple skin, sugar, cinnamon, and water. Its taste can range from cider-like and sweet to yeasty like beer. The process is simple: add pineapple peels to a large jar, add sugar and cinnamon and drown them in water until the peels come to the surface of the jar. Let it ferment for one to three days. The longer it ferments, the less sweet and more yeast-flavoured it will become. You will know the tepache has fermented when you see many small bubbles on top. Refrigerate and enjoy your drink! A batch of Kombucha (left) and Tepache (right) kept for fermentation A sparking probiotic beverage that is very easy to make, Ginger Beer is a traditional remedy for nausea and digestion problems and is good for the throat. You will need to make a powerful fermented mixture, Ginger Bug to make this drink. The wild yeast or ginger bug is made by adding water, sugar, and finely chopped ginger to a glass container and letting it sit for twenty-four hours after stirring. Take the next two-three days to add the same amount of ginger and sugar every twenty-four hours until it becomes fizzy. Strain it and add lemon juice. Let it sit at room temperature for three to six days until it gets fizzy. Once they’ve reached that point, you can refrigerate them; but make sure you’re opening the top and burping them once a day. Ginger Beer and Red Table Wine are said to be great for health having healing properties To make a batch of Red Table Wine, add one cup of sugar into a bottle of purple grape juice, add a packet of wine yeast, pop in an airlock, and come back in a few weeks. Alternatively, you can add around three quarts of the juice to a glass jar, before adding six cups of sugar and a pack of yeast. With these amazing and easy-to-make beverages, you can start homebrewing some of your own in no time. It’s a healthy hobby and is definitely a skill that comes over a period of time. Ultimately, it will be worth all the time and effort. Moreover, it is the best way to take part in an age old tradition that stretches all the way back to the Neolithic! #Homebrewing #Fermentation #Probiotic #Kombucha #SCOBY #Tepache SEARCH How to keep your skin healthy naturally FOOD Fantasy breakfast FOOD All About Homebrewing: The Art of Making Probiotic Fermented Beverages FOOD Virgin Territory: These non-alcoholic thirst quenchers are mixologist approved FOOD Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails FOOD POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Breeze By Lebua State Tower: Duck Skin, Oolong, And The Distance Between Who You Are And Who You Were 9 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape China Table Restaurant At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok: A Dim Sum Story At Dusk 7 September 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape The Blooming Gallery: A Fever Dream Of Matcha And Moss 15 August 2025 FOOD By Shriniwas Kodape Thiptara At The Peninsula Bangkok: Thai Soul By The River 28 July 2025 FOOD RELATED POSTS Advertisement
- Best Halloween Destinations In The World
by Priti Sharma by Priti Sharma Best Halloween Destinations In The World 13 February 2023 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement You may be wondering where in the globe to go as Halloween approaches. Here are some of the top locations. So, whether Halloween is one of your favorite holidays or you simply enjoy visiting odd, eerie tourist sites, you'll find some of the top Halloween locations around the globe in this post. We discuss places with a long history of Halloween celebrations, areas that play host to well-known Halloween events, and sites that are just eerie, making them ideal for a Halloween getaway (for those with the necessary level of bravery, that is). Salem, Massachusetts: We cannot forget about Salem when discussing the top places in the world to celebrate Halloween. The entire city goes into "Halloween mode" over the whole month of October, and there are many "haunted events" happening all over the place. Parades, costume contests, Halloween cruises, several visitor-friendly ghost tours, and more are all available. There are also a few more fascinating places to see, such as the Salem Witch Museum and the House of Seven Gables. Savannah, Georgia: In case you weren't aware, Savannah is really regarded as one of the nation's most eerie cities. The city of Savannah is a terrific choice for this list of the greatest Halloween vacation spots since it has a variety of dark tourism attractions that draw visitors all year long. In Savannah, there are several walking ghost tours that are quite popular with tourists, with the ghost & gravestones trolley tour perhaps being the most well-liked one. Reading, Pennsylvania (Shocktoberfest): In addition to being named the poorest small city in America in 2011, Reading is renowned for staging the legendary Shocktoberfest, one of the most fantastic Halloween celebrations in the nation. It began as a lone hayride and eventually expanded into a sizable "horror park" that draws thrill-seekers from all over the world. This is one of the top-rated horror attractions in the US, according to ratings. The festival's primary draws include a zombie safari tour, a massacre fright zone, zombie laser tag, and more. New Orleans, Louisiana: Our list of the greatest Halloween vacation spots in the US would not be complete without New Orleans, which is said to be one of the most haunted towns in the US. It's a terrific idea to spend Halloween in New Orleans, not only because of the city's haunted locations, intriguing parades, and history of voodoo magic (there is even an entire museum dedicated to this), but also because New Orleans is one of the most quaint towns in the nation. Isla de la Munecas, Mexico: El Isla de la Munecas gives the term "scary" a whole new meaning. All of the cities we have discussed in this post so far have a Halloween vibe. One of the spookiest islands in the world, this Mexican island has an interesting past. There was just one person living on this island in the 1950s, and his name was Julian Santana Barrera. He once discovered a young girl's body on the coast. Julian reportedly began hanging dolls from every tree he could locate on the island because the girl's ghost kept bothering him. Visitors to the islands have reportedly reported seeing the dolls move and whisper at night. To add to the dread, Julian drowned himself on the same site where he found the girl's body several years after finding her body. Dublin, Ireland: One of the nicest places in Europe to enjoy Halloween is Dublin. Let's not forget that Ireland is where Halloween first appeared. Samhain, an ancient Celtic feast, was the forerunner of Halloween. Going back to a holiday's origins is usually a pleasant experience since Halloween grew into what we know and love today through time. Halloween creates an exciting atmosphere throughout Ireland every year, with Dublin hosting one of the most vibrant events. Halloween is celebrated with a variety of gatherings and festivities, and the Irish really know how to party (as you already may know). Here are a few suggestions you may utilize to have a good time while being mindful of the environment wherever you go for Halloween: As much as you can, reuse! Create your own costumes instead of purchasing them! I recall our return from Northern Ireland. We didn't have much time to get ready. So, one of my pals just transformed an old bed sheet into a ghost outfit! It was excellent! Skip the plastics: If you're planning a party, just use regular cutlery and glasses. Use bamboo or stainless steel straws if you wish to offer beverages with straws. In lieu of carrying the dishes, search for biodegradable plastic substitutes. - Christian Dior: missed designer and his legacy
Christian Dior: missed designer and his legacy by Aparajita Jaiswal Christian Dior: missed designer and his legacy 1 May 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement What we know about Christian Dior, commonly known as Dior, is that it’s a French luxury goods company controlled and chaired by French businessman Bernard Arnault, who also heads LVMH, the world’s largest luxury group. But what many of us do not know about the brand is its origin. The company was founded in 1946 by designer Christian Dior. It currently designs and retails leather goods, fashion accessories, footwear, jewellery, timepieces, fragrance, makeup, and skin care products, while also maintaining its tradition as a creator of haute-couture under the Christian Dior Couture division. The Christian Dior label remains largely for women’s offerings, although the company also operates the Dior Homme division for men and the baby Dior label for children’s wear. Products are sold throughout its portfolio of retail stores worldwide, as well as through its online store. The House of Dior was established on 16 December 1946 in “a private house” at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. However, the current Dior Corporation celebrates “1947” as the opening year. Businessman Marcel Boussac decided to financially back Dior. Boussac first invited Dior to design for Philippe et Gaston, but Christian Dior declined as he wanted to start his own brand instead of reviving an old one, leading to his first launch, New Look, a fashion collection for Spring–Summer 1947, on 12th February 1947. The company was a majorly owned affiliate of Boussac Saint-Freres S.A. and was really a vanity project for Boussac. Nevertheless, Dior had a non-controlling stake in the firm and allowed a great part of his namesake label despite Boussac’s reputation as a “Control freak”. Expansion from France began by the end of 1949 with the opening of a Christian Dior boutique in New York City. After this, Christian Dior signed a contract with Douglas Cox for Dior to produce original designs and for Douglas Cox to create them in his Flinders Lane workshop in Australia. In 1950, Jacques Rouët, the general manager of Dior Ltd, devised a licensing program to place the now-renowned name of “Christian Dior” visibly on a variety of luxury goods. Members of the French Chamber of Couture denounced it as a degrading action for the haute-couture image. Nevertheless, licensing became a profitable move and began a trend to continue for decades to come, which all couture houses followed. The company operated firmly established locations in Mexico, Cuba, Canada, and Italy by the end of 1953. By the mid-1950s, the House of Dior operated a well-respected fashion empire. Christian Dior launched more highly successful fashion lines between the years of 1954 and 1957. However, none came as close to the profound effect of the New Look. Christian Dior appeared on the cover of TIME dated 4 March 1957. The designer soon afterwards died from a third heart attack on 24 October 1957. The captivating impact of Dior’s creative fashion genius earned him recognition as one of history’s greatest fashion figures. Kevin Almond for Contemporary Fashion wrote that “by the time Dior died his name had become synonymous with taste and luxury.” “Perfume is the indispensable complement to the personality of women, the finishing touch on a dress” ~Christian Dior Dior without Christian Dior. The death of the head designer left the House of Dior in chaos, and general manager Jacques Rouët considered shutting down operation worldwide. This possibility was not received graciously by Dior licensees and the French fashion industry. To bring the label back on its feet, Rouët promoted the 21-year-old Yves Saint-Laurent to Artistic Director the same year. Laurent had joined the House’s family in 1955 after being picked out by the original designer himself for the position of the first ever and only Head Assistant. After change of multiple designers and various scandals, Dior now, presently, has created strong partnerships with Hollywood celebrities and social media influencers, working closely with these individuals to reach more demographics and re-establish its identity as a new, modern brand, despite the fact that it has been around for a while. Dior has effectively implemented social media into their marketing communication strategy, in which images and videos from campaigns are shared on both the official Dior profile, and on the celebrity ambassadors’ social media pages. An example of this success is seen in the Secret Garden campaign featuring Rihanna. Despite the reach not being completely suitable to the Dior target audience, collaborating with the likes of Rihanna allows the company to engage with more of the market, as Rihanna’s social media following is four times larger than that of the fashion house. #DiorChristianDiorFashionLuxuryCompanyCoutureRihannaFrench SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement
