- Van Cleef & Arpels At Tefaf 2025: Where Jewellery Meets Art
Van Cleef & Arpels At Tefaf 2025: Where Jewellery Meets Art By Anushka Uniyal Van Cleef & Arpels At Tefaf 2025: Where Jewellery Meets Art 22 March 2025 FASHION Advertisement Rihanna said it best, “Shine bright like a diamond.” And if there’s one thing that truly fits that description, it’s Van Cleef & Arpels . This legendary French jeweller is back at TEFAF 2025 —the Met Gala of the art and antique world—with a breathtaking lineup from its Heritage Collection. Imagine a 1955 turquoise and diamond necklace dripping in Old Hollywood glamour or a 1973 Anjou necklace that transforms into two bracelets. Think The Devil Wears Prada, but instead of fashion outfits, it’s all about handcrafted, gem-studded masterpieces. This collection isn’t just about beautiful jewellery, it’s about history, art and timeless elegance that keeps getting better with time. A Brand That’s Always In Style Before we step into the details of this stunning jewellery, let’s take a moment to appreciate Van Cleef & Arpels’ legacy. Founded in 1906 in Place Vendôme, Paris—aka the Rodeo Drive of fine jewellery—this brand has been the go-to choice for royalty, Hollywood stars and serious collectors for over a century. If you’ve ever admired Princess Grace of Monaco’s elegance or Queen Elizabeth II’s charm, chances are, Van Cleef & Arpels played a part. Elizabeth Taylor ? Check. Jackie Kennedy? Absolutely. Beyoncé ? Of course. This Maison has draped some of the most powerful and glamorous women in history in diamonds and gold! If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, Van Cleef & Arpels is basically the ultimate BFF! The Heritage Collection Launched in 2007, the Heritage Collection is where Van Cleef & Arpels brings its greatest work back to life. These are stunning pieces from the 1920s to the 1990s which are carefully revived and restored. Each piece goes through a serious glow-up process, a full check-up and just the right amount of polish to bring back its original sparkle and once a piece makes it into the Heritage Collection? Consider it a true masterpiece in the world of fine jewellery. Spotlight On The Showstoppers Necklace, 1955 Platinum, diamonds and turquoise—definitely something Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn would wear while sipping champagne. It captures the grandeur of 18th-century jewellery but feels fresh with its cabochon turquoise stones. And that pop of blue? Chef’s kiss. Marguerite Clip, 1964 Van Cleef & Arpels has always had a soft spot for nature, and this gold and emerald floral clip is proof. With delicately crafted petals that seem to be floating in a breeze, it’s a design that will never fade. Anjou Necklace, Transformable Into Bracelets, 1973 Who doesn’t love jewellery that does more than one thing right? This yellow gold and diamond necklace isn’t just stunning, it also transforms into two bracelets. Because why settle for one statement piece when you can have two? Orsay bracelet, 1994 Classy, structured and decked with rubies and diamonds, this bracelet is minimalist and meets maximalist. Inspired by the Maison’s signature Mystery Set technique, the gems create an illusion of uninterrupted sparkle. Why Tefaf Is The Place To Be TEFAF isn’t just another event; it’s where collectors, curators and serious jewellery lovers gather to admire some of the most extraordinary pieces ever made. This is where jewellery is more than gems and stones, it’s history, art and a story all packaged into one. Final Thoughts Some jewellery is just decoration. Van Cleef & Arpels is a legacy. Whether it’s an heirloom passed down through generations or someone’s dream purchase, every piece tells a story that goes beyond sparkle and shine. So, if you’re lucky enough to visit TEFAF 2025, make sure to take a moment to admire these iconic creations. After all, some things in life are priceless and Van Cleef & Arpels just happens to come with a price tag. - Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained
Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained by Aishwarya Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained 9 December 2022 FASHION Advertisement Colour has a major role in our day-to-day life. Colours influence our mood and perception in life. They are an inevitable and important aspect of our lives. We buy clothes based on our colour liking, but the psychology behind it often goes unnoticed. Colour is the first thing that we notice, whenever consuming something. The concept of colour psychology plays a big role in the fashion design field. Now, you might be thinking what is colour psychology? Colour psychology is the influence of colours on the functioning of a person. It is a study of colours and their shades, to know more about our human behaviour. We get influenced by many things like perception, placebo, moods, nature etc. It is believed that our ancestors also used colour psychology as a therapy. It isn't a modern-day concept but, Egyptians, as well as Chinese people, practised Chromotherapy. This therapy included colour psychology, through which they used to heal people from their ailments. Colours have their own significance and meaning, and this is used in the design field to provoke a certain emotion. For example, red indicates bold and fierce, blue indicates calmness and loyalty and so on. Some colours are also associated with the calendar seasons. In the fall season, we tend towards shades of brown and orange, while in the winters we tend towards bright fun colours. The four primary colours- red, blue, yellow and green, is related to our mind, body and emotions. Let us see a few colours and how it affects our cognitive behaviour. Red colour indicates physical strength, warmth, energy, excitement and stability. In spirituality, it is the colour of the root chakra, the chakra that controls our existence and deep rooted knowledge. It is a dominant colour and is often related to defence, aggression and strain. Red should be preferred when you want to show power and warmth at the same time. Blue colour indicates intellect, communication, trust, logic, loyalty, calm and serenity. It is the colour of the throat chakra, the chakra that rules communication and our truth. It is also associated with coldness, aloofness, and unfriendliness. Blue colour calms the mind unlike red colour, which excites the mind. Blue can be worn for professional endeavours as it represents confidence and reliability. The yellow colour indicates optimism, creativity, self-esteem, extraversion and emotional strength. It is the colour of the Solar Plexus chakra, the chakra that rules the self, and the identity of the person. It is also associated with irrationality, fear, depression and suicide. The yellow colour has a long and emotionally stimulating wavelength to it. Yellow is considered to be the most active colour, psychologically. Violet indicates spiritual awareness, containment, vision, luxury, truth and quality. It is the colour of the Third Eye chakra, the chakra that rules intuition and higher perspective. It also indicates introversion, suppression and inferiority. It is considered that the people who wear purple are creative, insightful, and have an artistic approach. They are often mysterious and dreamy. The Grey colour depicts a lack of confidence, hibernation and depression. Grey is the only colour that has no direct psychological effects. The absence of colour makes it a depressing sight to see. It is a symbol of tranquillity, maturity and neutrality. It is difficult to define the characteristics of a person wearing a grey colour. The most loved colour, black depicts sophistication, glamour, efficiency and security. It also indicates oppression, menace and heaviness. Black is an absorption of all colours and doesnt depict a single characteristic of its own. Black creates an impression of importance and power. It makes the person to be taken seriously and respectfully. The effects of colours on our minds are more than we can ever imagine. So, the next time you choose a dress for yourself, make sure to know what you are looking to represent and then choose the colour. Choose the colours that you want in your life and, don't let the colours choose you instead. Colour psychology is the influence of colours on the functioning of a person. It is a study of colours and their shades, to know more about our human behaviour. - The Lockdown Masks
The Lockdown Masks by Aiyra Baig The Lockdown Masks 1 November 2020 FASHION Advertisement During these trying times, skincare seems like a great idea. All these days at home are actually a blessing for our skin; no dust, dirt, travelling, pollution, junk food or the harsh sun. Therefore, no damage and happy skin. With all the extra time at hand, go an extra mile and pamper your face with some homemade face masks made from ingredients you can find in your kitchen cabinet. Grandma’s secret – Besan Face mask Mix besan (split chickpea flour) with a pinch of turmeric, milk and rose water. Scrub it on your face in a circular motion and wait for it to dry. Rinse with close water in 5-10 minutes. Besan helps to absorb excess oil from the skin including impurities while also retaining moisture. Caffeine Hydration Mix one tablespoon each of coffee powder and honey well together. Apply and wash it off after 10 minutes. Coffee is rich in antioxidants, kills cells and removes impurities, making the skin smoother and brighter. It is also an excellent exfoliator and helps in stimulating blood flow, which reduces acne and even cellulite and stretch marks. Honey acts as a moisturizer and diminishes signs of ageing. Bright Banana (*not for oily skin) Mash a ripe banana and mix it with a little bit of honey. Apply it on your face and wash off after 15 minutes. Banana is rich in potassium and helps to moisture and hydrate dry skin, making it soft and supple. It also lightens dark spots. The 101 cure mask Mix freshly prepared aloe vera gel with fresh cucumber paste/juice, yoghurt and honey. Cleanse your face and leave this face mask for 20-30 minutes. Using this twice a week helps to detan your skin. Aloe vera also has antibacterial properties which helps to treat pimples and acne, giving a smooth skin texture. it also lightens your skin and removes blemishes and dark spots, effectively de-pigmenting your skin. Egg peel off Add a few drops of lemon juice to an egg-white mix well. Apply it well over your face and neck, wait for it to dry and peel it off with water. Egg whites shrinks your pores, firms your skin by removing excess dirt, oil and dead cells on your face while also removing blackheads. Lemon juice naturally contains vitamin C, an antioxidant that may help reduce skin damage and premature ageing. Due to its high pH levels, it has astringent qualities; lemon can decrease oil on the skin and reduce inflammation. Oat scrub Make a smooth paste by mixing oatmeal, honey and rosewater. Scrub it well and leave it on for ten minutes before rinsing with water. Oatmeal contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that soothe itchy, dry and irritated skin. This face mask gives you instant radiant-looking skin. #impurities #cells #supple #eggwhite #rosewater #blemishes #honey #moisture #irritated #banana #tumeric #brighter #stimulating #milk #dryskin #clean #lighten #exfoliator #pamper #blackheads #acne #itchy #damage #pores #yoghurt #smoother #skincare #shrink #dark #soft #oatmeal #pimples #oil #kitchen #flow #coffee #ingredients #besan #detan #radiant #antibacterial #lemon #hydrate #spots #skin #cucumber #ageing #inflammation #facemask #blood SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape AiSPi Wanderlust Diaries: Marzook, L’Afshar, And A Fashion Bender In Mumbai 25 April 2025 FASHION By Anushka Uniyal Kiyaan Silver: Timeless Jewellery For Every Woman 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra The Shoe Faktory Success Story: Ishpreet Singh Gujral’s Bold Business Leap 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra From Reality TV To Real Success: Nibedita Paal’s Inspiring Story 27 March 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS

Viddhi Giri: Bold, Unapologetic & Living Her Dream By Sakshi Batra Viddhi Giri: Bold, Unapologetic & Living Her Dream 20 March 2025 FASHION Advertisement Destined For Glamour! Fashion and entertainment have always been more than just an interest of Viddhi Giri , they are part of her very being. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the industry, she was naturally drawn to the world of art in all its forms, from dance and design to creative expression. Her journey led her to NIFT , where she pursued textile design, but she soon realized she was never meant to stay behind the scenes. The spotlight called her, and she answered, stepping into the world of pageants and content creation. Now, as she builds her brand and collaborates with top fashion names, she sees her path not just as a series of opportunities but as fate unfolding in the most stylish way possible. The Toughest Battles Make The Best Queens! Every powerful woman has faced challenges that shaped her into the force she is today, and for Viddhi, it was the decision to walk away from someone she deeply loved. It felt like losing a part of herself, but love without respect is never enough. After holding on for too long, hoping things would change, she finally chose herself. The moment she let go, life opened its doors - offering success, self-love, and a newfound confidence. Sometimes, heartbreak isn’t an ending; “Sometimes you have to forget what you feel and remember what you deserve” , says Viddhi. The Moment That Changed Everything! Life often feels like a whirlwind of experiences, but for Viddhi, Miss Diva was the moment that redefined everything . “More than just a beauty pageant, it was a test of discipline, confidence, and the ability to push beyond limits” . Standing on that stage, she felt a powerful realization: she was meant to shine, not just for herself, but to inspire others. What’s Next? Moving from Chandigarh to Mumbai has been a thrilling leap toward new opportunities. Unlike many who follow the expected route into acting, Viddhi has carved her own path, one where impact matters more than convention. “Her goal is to inspire young women to prioritize their well-being, embrace confidence, and redefine beauty on their terms”. With upcoming projects reflecting this philosophy, she is determined to make waves in the industry where wellness and self-love take centre stage. Surprise, Surprise! Despite her glamorous persona, Viddhi is deeply spiritual , believing in divine timing, rituals, and faith. Whether it's embracing love fearlessly, dressing as she pleases, or simply enjoying a fine glass of wine balanced with a morning workout, she is a testament to living fully. The Truth About Wellness - No Trends, Just Life! Wellness isn’t about strict rules; it’s a mindset. For Viddhi, eating home-cooked meals isn’t dieting, and workouts aren’t a burden; they’re acts of self-care. She believes self-care isn’t about discipline but about self-respect. To her, the body is a temple, and when self-love is genuine, caring for it becomes effortless rather than an obligation. Rule Breaker, Risk Taker! Viddhi has never been one to conform to rules; instead, she has challenged authority at every stage of her life. Rather than blindly following traditions, she believes in questioning norms and forging her own path. With time, she has come to understand that true power lies in directing her energy wisely. And if rebellion was ever part of the journey, she carries no regrets. Beyond The Glam - Finding Happiness In Simplicity Despite being in the world of high fashion and entertainment, Viddhi’s happy place is rooted in the simplest pleasures. A plate of saag and makki di roti, a chilled glass of lassi, and a peaceful day away from the chaos is all it takes . Embroidery is another unexpected love, she enjoys stitching designs on old clothes and bedsheets, a quiet, creative escape in her fast-paced life. Viddhi’s Unfiltered Life Advice For Girls Living alone at least once in life is a game-changer. If a man can’t be changed, it’s time to change the man. The higher the heels, the closer to confidence. Perfection is a myth; stop chasing it. No one is above or below you; stay grounded. One Beauty Rule To Live By! Beauty isn’t just skin deep, it’s a mindset. Viddhi never speaks negatively about her looks, not even as a joke. When complimented, she takes it with a bright smile and owns it. Confidence, after all, is the ultimate beauty hack. If Not This, Then What? If there was ever a parallel career path, Viddhi sees herself as a sports presenter or anchor. She has starred in multiple hit movies and critically acclaimed web series such as Abhay and Mai: A Mother’s Rage. Dhar has been nominated for the Filmfare Best Debut Actress, Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer – female and the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female. She opens up to us about the challenges she faced in the industry, her learning experiences in the shooting spots, her co-stars and her philosophy when it comes to life and work. The Pandemic has taught her not to plan things far ahead, she’s more conscious of the changes in the Bollywood industry and is ready to take one step at a time. She’s not in a hurry to the top. It is the process that appeals to her. “ Personal growth as an actor and as an individual is the most important for me. I think that's where I see myself going, I see myself evolving, changing, getting better and better with time.” Sandeepa Dhar is working on a new project, meanwhile she spoke to us about working on the sets of Kaagaz with the legendary actors Salman Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Director Satish Kaushik. She shares a special relationship with Salman Khan, as she had already worked with him; and Tripathi according to her, is ‘an amazing and smashing human being.’ She quoted an incident where Kaushik came to her with a song and told her that it was about women empowerment, and that he would never shoot an item song or show women in a poor light. ‘It was reassuring and refreshing to see him talk like that,’ she said. “It was a wonderful experience working on Kaagaz, I'm extremely lucky that I get to work with such an amazing set of creative minds who've been in the industry for a really long time, who are so experienced, and at the top of the game. Ihope I get to work with them over and over again. Fingers crossed.” When asked about her experience so far in Bollywood, Dhar said that it is like a rollercoaster ride, having it’s ups and downs. She is extremely grateful to have worked in diverse roles, with multiple stars and franchises like Netflix and Hotstar. She is also ready to fight for and hope for more bigger, stronger roles and recognition. Looking forward to many more exciting opportunities, Dhar remains optimistic. “ …I feel like I'm also very grateful, because I have got an opportunity to work with some amazing set of people from Salman to Sajid Nadiadwala to Tiger to Kriti and Rajshri. Even with the web, I have gotten the opportunity to work with some brilliantly talented people; platforms from Netflix to Hotstar, the best in the game. I think it's been an interesting journey and I'm only very excited to see where it goes henceforth. Because I don't know myself where it leads me to, I don’t know how much I'm going to grow and evolve. No matter what, I'm really, really looking forward to the opportunities that I get henceforth and to the choices that I make ahead.” Working with Atul Mongia for the web series Mai has been a dream come true for Sandeepa Dhar. The series was produced by Clean Slate Filmz owned by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma. It was a critical and commercial success, and it impacted her personally and professionally as well says Dhar. She goes on to talk about her views on personal development and how she focuses on being a better person and artist, never comparing herself to anyone but herself. She strongly believe in personal growth, and looks forward to being a better version of her self both on and off screen. ‘People who compare their lives to others’ are quite narrow minded, as everyone’s journey is different,’ she adds. “. I feel like anyway, with the kind of lifestyles that we all have, we all need to look inward and work on our own selves, that's the only way that we can keep a straight head in this crazy world. Because, social media and people can play with your head and I think at this point, the only thing that can save you is your own self and knowing who you are and working on it. I think for me that is what is the most important.” For a final question, we asked her about the obstacles she has faced and her journey so far. She replied that being an outsider had been her first obstacle; she knew no one in the industry and had to work hard to land roles, to reach the relevant people. Since she had no one to guide her during her earlier days, everything was of ‘trial and error,’ method for her. She had to learn from her mistakes, sometimes she erred three four times, before learning her lesson. She also spoke about the ‘perception’ that people have about actors, which stereotypes them and thereby denying them of certain roles. This fight against people’s perception of her is a constant battle she says. “In this industry, the stereotyping is immense to an extent it’s quite ridiculous in a way because isn't it stupid that as an actor, you're putting people in boxes, according to the way they look. But as an actor, I should mould myself physically and emotionally as per the character. That is my job, right? I'm supposed to play a different character irrespective of what I look like, but the industry forces you to only play roles, which kind of suffice to what you look like physically. So, if I am, for example, fair and modern and good looking then, according to them, I would only fit in roles wherein the character is rich and from an affluent family or speaks English. I am honestly quite fed up with people thinking like that. I think there is that obstacle that I'm constantly fighting hence, if you look at my filmography, I'm always playing roles wherein the character is quite the opposite of what I am in person.” We ended the interview with a positive vibe, with Sandeepa Dhar asking the audience and readers to look forward to her movies and series, not because she is in them but because they’re worth watching. We are indeed looking forward to your next project Sandeepa Dhar! Wishing you all luck and success! - The Thrill Of Thrift Shopping
The Thrill Of Thrift Shopping By Anushka Sharma The Thrill Of Thrift Shopping 27 June 2024 FASHION Advertisement Exploring the magic of thrift shopping is more than just a sustainable fashion adventure. It is literally a thriving market as of now! Have you ever wanted to find cool clothes without spending lots of money? Well, thrift shopping might be just the thing for you! It's like going on a treasure hunt, but instead of gold, you're searching for awesome clothes at bargain prices. Thrift shopping is not your usual trip to the mall. It's more like a fun adventure where you explore different stores looking for hidden gems. You never know what you might find – from vintage dresses to funky shirts, there's something for everyone. But thrift shopping isn't just about getting cheap clothes. It's also about being eco-friendly. You see, when you buy second-hand clothes, you're giving them a new life instead of letting them end up in a landfill. That means you're helping the environment by reducing waste. How cool is that? And it's not just good for the planet – it's good for people too. By buying from thrift stores, you're supporting local businesses and charities. Plus, you're not giving your money to big companies that might not treat their workers fairly. But perhaps the best thing about thrift shopping is the thrill of finding a fantastic piece for a fraction of the price you'd pay in a regular store. It's like scoring a goal in a soccer game or finding a hidden treasure – you feel excited and proud of your discovery. I remember the first time I went thrift shopping. I found this amazing leather jacket that looked like it came straight out of a movie. And the best part? It was way cheaper than buying a new one! That's the magic of thrift shopping – you never know what treasures you might uncover. So whether you're a fashionista on a budget or just someone who loves a good bargain, thrift shopping is definitely worth a try. It's fun, it's eco-friendly, and it's a great way to express your unique style without breaking the bank. So why not give it a go? Thrift shopping isn't just about finding clothes – it's about discovering pieces of history and expressing your personality in a way that's completely your own. Each item you come across has a story to tell, from the vintage dress worn by a glamorous movie star to the funky shirt that was once someone's favorite weekend wear. But the best part? You get to rewrite those stories and make them your own. Maybe you'll take that old leather jacket and give it a modern twist with some patches and pins. Or perhaps you'll turn a plain T-shirt into a work of art with a bit of DIY magic. With thrift shopping, the possibilities are endless, and your imagination is the only limit. And let's not forget the thrill of the hunt. There's something exhilarating about scouring racks and shelves in search of that perfect piece. It's like being a detective on a mission, except instead of solving crimes, you're solving fashion dilemmas. So next time you're in need of a wardrobe refresh, skip the mall and head to your local thrift store instead. Not only will you save money and help the planet, but you'll also embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure that's guaranteed to leave you feeling inspired and excited about fashion. Who knows what treasures you'll find? The only way to find out is to go thrifting and see for yourself! - K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe
K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe by Yashi Srivastava K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe 10 February 2023 FASHION Advertisement K-pop is more than a music genre in 2022. It is a wave, a trend, a bold choice of fashion coupled with luxury and serving looks! Korean pop music has its roots fixed in the 90s, but after the rise of artists like PSY and BTS, K-pop has taken over the global wardrobe, not just with its music but also fashion, style, and charisma. Why shouldn’t it? After all, K-pop idols are some of the most beautiful faces that you would come across. It is thus, not surprising to know that most of them are headlining several luxury fashion shows across the world and many have become the face of brands like Celine, Dior, Milan, Gucci, and more. So, how is K-pop influencing the wardrobe of the entire fashion world? We shall discuss the same in this article. The rise of K-pop fashion As mentioned already, it all began with during the early 90s when Seo Taiji and Boys created a concoction of South Korean tradition with western instruments and highlighted the same with stunning choreography! The world was in awe and since then, there's been no looking back for the music genre. With time, K-pop fashion promoted fashion accessories like bucket hats, loose fitting T-shirts and jeans, flannels, and more. By the late 90s, K-pop music soared since the term ‘idol’ was coined which led the musicians to become more than performers - they became celebrities and the global (wardrobe) domination of K-pop thus began. Currently, K-pop fashion dabbles between streetwear and sportswear off-stage and everything that’s luxury, starting from Gucci, Versace, Dior, Cartier, Celine, etc. The current popularity of K-pop fashion It is safe to consider K-pop fashion as one of the biggest trends of 2022. From baggy clothes to skirts, to anoraks, from Girls Generation being invited to 2012 Mulberry show in London to BTS attending the 2018 Billboard Awards in complete Gucci outfits - Korean pop culture fashion has certainly come a long way! It is not wrong to say that the digital media has played a prominent role in taking the K-pop popularity to a whole new level, not only in East- Asia and South-Asia but also the West. However, it is not just K-pop idols that have influenced the world wardrobe and have been a part of the global fashion world. Korean fashion brands such as Gentle Monster and Minju Kim are making waves across the world with their fresh styles and K-pop inclined clothing. In fact, popular brands like Adidas have now come up with merchandise that is completely influenced by the K-pop genre, and the sales are on an all-time high! The influence of K-pop idols in global fashion K-pop idols aren't just singers anymore - they are ambassadors of South Korean culture, style, and fashion - and the global fashion world is loving their charisma! From BTS’ V to GOT7’s Jackson and Blackpink’s Lisa, everyone is known for their unique sense of style and cosmic fashion trends. They are breaking the internet with their stunning fashion sense and persona! In fact, they can make or break a fashion trend within minutes and scream of luxury and charm in every sense of the word. It is thus, not uncommon for top fashion brands to seek out idols from K-pop groups like Blackpink, Twice, Aespa, Monsta X, TxT, Red Velvet, and more to promote their brand via advertisements and fashion shows. Why shouldn’t they? After all, K-pop idols are known for their extravagant sense of fashion loaded with high-end accessories and vibrant colors, both on hair and their outfits! However, their fashion isn’t only limited to the stage. From airport looks to casual outings, K-media has its eyes on them and most idols do not disappoint! And let’s not forget the influence they have on some of the most popular fashion brands, like Louis Vuitton, who moved an entire fashion show to Seoul, South Korea, only for the legends known as BTS to promote the brand. In fact, the collection was sold out within a few minutes of the event. BTS’ airport look, where they were dressed in LV clothes from top to bottom, also sold out within a few hours after photos were released online. While BTS have their own contribution in bringing the world’s attention to K-pop culture, it is the aestheri and eye-catching visuals of K-pop idols from several groups that keeps the genre’s popularity growing. EXO Kai for Gucci and Bobbi Brown, IU for Gucci, Red Velvet Irene for Prada, Blackpink’s Jisoo for Cartier and Dior, Aespa for Givenchy, EXO Sehun for Dior, are some of the popular K-pop names who are faces or brand ambassadors of some high-end luxury brands. Wrapping up K-pop idols, in recent times, have proven that they are way ahead of the curve in terms of fashion and media both, and they aren’t stopping anytime soon! So, get ready, because K-pop is and will be the moment for several coming years in trends, style, and of course, influential fashion. Blob - It is not just the outfit that defines fashion for K-pop idols. They are also about style that sends and spreads a message, the make-up that accentuates the beauty of the IDOL irrespective of the gender, and visuals that are as stunning as they can get. So, today we shall talk about K-pop and the way it is impacting global fashion! There is fashion with style and then, there is fashion with inspiration - K-pop delivers a bit of both and in a way, that you cannot take your eyes off of the idols. - The Unfiltered Journey Of Chandni Solanki: From Teen Dreamer To Storytelling Icon
The Unfiltered Journey Of Chandni Solanki: From Teen Dreamer To Storytelling Icon By Sakshi Batra The Unfiltered Journey Of Chandni Solanki: From Teen Dreamer To Storytelling Icon 12 February 2025 FASHION Advertisement Mumbai’s Girl With Big Dreams In the bustling city of Mumbai, where dreams often get lost in the chaos, Chandni Solanki carved her own path. A lover of books, cozy café corners, and solo travel, Chandni’s story started as an ordinary one. But there was nothing ordinary about her dreams. What began as a teenage experiment with TikTok at the age of 15 turned into a career that would not only shape her life but inspire countless others. “I started making videos just for fun,” she shares. “I never thought it would become a full-time job, let alone a part of my identity. From casual entertainment to becoming a recognized influencer in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle, Chandni’s journey proves that dreams pursued with passion have the power to shatter every expectation. The Power Of Determination Not all roads to success are smooth, and Chandni’s path was no exception. Like many young dreamers, she faced resistance from her family. “My parents wanted me to focus on studies and pick a stable career,” she recalls. But Chandni’s determination was unshakeable. “I’ve always been a stubborn kid. I knew what I wanted, and I wasn’t going to give up on it.” That stubbornness became her superpower, helping her navigate the unpredictable and ever-changing world of content creation. But even now, despite her success, she keeps her feet firmly on the ground. “I don’t think I’ve made it yet,” Chandni says. “There’s still so much I want to achieve, so much potential I need to showcase.” The Reality Of Influencing: Beyond Glam And Glitter Life as an influencer is often romanticized, but Chandni isn’t afraid to share the truth. “It’s not just about pretty pictures and trending reels. There’s a curveball every single day,” she says. From staying relevant to creating meaningful content, the hustle is real. What sets her apart is her authenticity. Chandni’s content reflects her everyday life, simple yet impactful. She mixes beauty, skincare, and fashion tips with her own experiences, offering advice that’s both practical and relatable. “Skincare is about basics: eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water, and take care of yourself,” she says. As for fashion? “It’s all about mood. Some days, I’m all black and white—classic and chic. Other days, I want bold, vibrant colors. Fashion is about expressing who you are in the moment.” The Bookworm Behind The Screen What makes Chandni truly unique is her love for literature and storytelling. While many influencers focus solely on aesthetics, Chandni finds inspiration in books and authors who resonate with her deeply. Currently, she’s reading The Forest of Enchantments by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. “It’s such a beautiful retelling of the Ramayana, told from Sita’s perspective. It portrays her as a strong, independent woman, and I can’t stop thinking about it,” she shares. Another author who inspires her is Sally Rooney, known for her simple yet captivating narratives. “Her storytelling is raw and relatable,” Chandni says. “It reminds me that sometimes, simplicity can make the deepest impact.” Her love for writing started when she was young, scribbling poems and love stories in school, but now, she dreams of weaving her passion for storytelling into her content. “I want to create narratives that connect with people on a personal level. Stories are what make us human, and I want to tell mine in the most meaningful way.” Changing Perceptions And Shaping The Future Despite her polished Instagram profile and growing influence, Chandni wants to break the stereotypes people have about her. “A lot of people think I’m just sassy and not grounded, but there’s so much more to me than what you see on the surface,” she says. To change that perception, she’s planning exciting new projects. Chandni dreams of creating an Instagram series and short films with relatable characters and heartfelt dialogues. “I want people to see my work and feel connected like they’re watching a piece of their own lives unfold,” she explains. Her Goal? To combine her love for reading and writing with her visual storytelling, creating content that’s not just entertaining but deeply personal and impactful. The Inspiration Behind The Vision When asked who inspires her, Chandni’s face lights up. “ Komal Pandey ,” she says without hesitation. “She’s a true trailblazer in the industry. Her boldness, creativity, and authenticity inspire me to keep pushing boundaries.” Like her idol, Chandni wants to leave a lasting impact. “I want to create a legacy that goes beyond Instagram, a brand that’s authentic, relatable, and inspiring.” A Star In The Making Chandni Solanki’s journey is more than just a success story; it’s a testament to resilience, creativity, and staying true to yourself. From a teenager experimenting with TikTok to a rising digital storyteller, Chandni is rewriting the rulebook on what it means to be an influencer. As she continues to grow and evolve, one thing is clear: Chandni isn’t just here to post pretty pictures; she’s here to tell stories, spark conversations, and inspire change. “I’m not done yet,” Chandni says, her eyes sparkling with ambition. “This is just the beginning, and the best is yet to come.” SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape AiSPi Wanderlust Diaries: Marzook, L’Afshar, And A Fashion Bender In Mumbai 25 April 2025 FASHION By Anushka Uniyal Kiyaan Silver: Timeless Jewellery For Every Woman 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra The Shoe Faktory Success Story: Ishpreet Singh Gujral’s Bold Business Leap 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra From Reality TV To Real Success: Nibedita Paal’s Inspiring Story 27 March 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS
