Dubai Fashion Week’s Grand Finale Celebrates Heritage, Innovation And Haute Couture By Anushka Uniyal Dubai Fashion Week’s Grand Finale Celebrates Heritage, Innovation And Haute Couture 22 February 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement As Dubai Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025-26 came to a dramatic close, day five delivered a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern innovation. From THAT Concept Store’s multi-brand curation to Les Benjamins’ outstanding debut, the night was a stark reminder that fashion isn’t just about clothes—it’s a story. It’s a fusion of art and creativity that bridges cultures and contemporary trends to create art truly unforgettable! Let’s walk through some of the highlights of day 5. THAT Concept Store: A One-Of-A-Kind Designer Showcase Imagine stepping into a fashion feast where designers with impeccable tastes and fabulous styles curate each course! That’s exactly what THAT Concept Store delivered on the runway. Their Spring/Summer 2025 collection highlighted Hennessy's refined minimalism, Christopher Esber ’s effortless elegance and Khaite’s sharp tailoring skills, setting the perfect tone for the night! Following closely were Giuseppe Di Morabito , Studio Amelia and Rock by GS , each bringing their fresh takes on contemporary fashion. Rock by GS amped up the lineup with a street-style edge, and when you thought it couldn’t get better, Bil Arabi’s statement jewellery stole the show. It was infused with Middle Eastern elegance and added a deeply personal touch to the already diverse collection. The show was a striking fusion of remarkable styles, with each look standing out on its own. Every detail added depth to the designs, from intricate lacework to asymmetrical fringes and dazzling embellishments. The grand finale? Dubai Bling star Loujain Adada lit up the runway in a breathtaking sequined gown. SaiJamin: A Love Letter To The Past SaiJamin ’s collection, ‘Adiyuh: Memories and Dreams’, was pure poetry in motion. Designer Jamilya Afashagova wove childhood nostalgia and cultural roots that drew inspiration from an old Kabardian song and the majestic landscapes of the Caucasus. Flowing silks, intricate jacquards and a colour palette of blues, pinks and ethereal whites told a deeply personal story, one stitched with love, legacy and a father’s guiding influence. Molato: Moroccan Craft Meets The Ocean If tradition had a modern muse, it would be Molato ’s ‘Beldi Beneath the Waves’. This collection was a love letter to Morocco’s rich textile heritage, blending handcraft with flowing silhouettes that moved like the ocean. Every piece felt authentic, proving that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand and look absolutely stunning while doing it! Les Benjamins: A Mythological Marvel Streetwear met ancient mythology in the best way when Les Benjamins made history as DFW’s first Correspondent Designer. Inspired by the Altai Turks, the Istanbul-based brand delivered bold graphics, intricate patterns and silhouettes that told stories of a rich cultural past where heritage met urban luxury. Where Deals And Dreams Converge DFW isn’t just about the runway; it’s a playground for power players. The Buyer’s Programme wrapped up its three-day run, opening doors for designers like Amina Galal , Yassmin Saleh , and Ilyes Ouali to showcase their artistry to an elite circle of global buyers. Connections were made, partnerships were forged, and the future of fashion took another stylish step forward. Final Bow: A Star-Studded Conclusion As DFW drew to a close, anticipation hit a fever pitch for the final curtain call—none other than Indian haute couture maestro Manish Malhotra . With a legacy of dressing Bollywood royalty and beyond, Malhotra’s showcase promised to be a fitting finale to a fashion week brimming with culture, innovation and unmatched craftsmanship. - A Quiet Affair With Bangkok At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok
By Shriniwas Kodape By Shriniwas Kodape A Quiet Affair With Bangkok At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok 14 August 2025 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The sky had just started melting into a bruised purple when I rolled into Sukhumvit. The kind of Bangkok evening that clings to your skin, rich with exhaust fumes, grilled chicken, and possibilities. The Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok didn’t tower so much as it stood with purpose—its glass façade reflecting a thousand fractured city lights. It didn’t need to scream; it whispered welcome in the way old cities do. Inside, the lobby pulsed with soft light and a hush that felt like velvet. No fuss, no spectacle—just the hum of polished floors, muted jazz, and smiles that reached the eyes. The check-in was less transaction, more choreography. I barely noticed the paperwork. I remember the cold towel, the floral scent of the welcome drink, and the quiet assurance that I’d landed somewhere that understood the balance between stillness and movement. Upstairs, the room opened like a scene change. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretched across Bangkok’s tangled sprawl, and I stood barefoot on the carpet, watching the BTS Skytrain snake through the city like a slow metal thought. The bed was impossibly inviting. The kind you fall into without meaning to. And the bathroom—marble, glass, silence—became a sanctuary all its own. I stayed under the rain shower until time loosened its grip on my shoulders. Morning came soft and forgiving. I wandered down to breakfast, where cuisines danced around each other without borders. I saw miso soup flirting with hash browns, samosas holding court beside bacon. A chef behind the egg station looked up and nodded before I spoke, like he’d already read the kind of morning I was having. The coffee was dark, generous, and unhurried. It asked nothing of me except presence. Later, I found myself floating in the rooftop pool, the city buzzing below, oblivious. Sunlight scattered across the water, and for a moment, everything stilled—the taxis, the horns, the deadlines. The world could wait. By sundown, I made my way to Brewski , the open-air bar perched high above the Bangkok beat. There’s something about sipping craft beer at eye level with the skyline that rewires your perception. The amber lights, the long wooden bar, the crisp laughter of travelers who had already surrendered to the city’s rhythm. I ordered a local IPA that carried notes of citrus, coriander, and Bangkok heat. It slipped down easy, like the night. Hunger led me down to Attico , a Tuscan hideaway draped in warm light and rustic woods. The wine breathed in its glass. The truffle risotto arrived steaming, fragrant, unapologetically rich. A playlist of Italian jazz hummed in the background. The room wasn’t crowded, but it was alive—families talking with their hands, lovers leaning in, chefs plating dishes with quiet intensity. And then there was Chao Phya, where Thai cuisine was treated with reverence, not spectacle. Each dish told its own story. The tom yum had depth, not just heat. The jasmine rice was perfectly steamed, catching the flavors like silk. There was no rush, no showmanship. Just flavor, history, and the kind of cooking that came from memory more than manuals. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok didn’t try to impress. It simply was. A hotel that knew how to fade into the background so you could foreground your own experience. It gave space without distance, luxury without noise. It was the pause between exhale and inhale, the quiet beat between footsteps. On my last morning, I lingered by the window. The city was already wide awake, but I moved slower now. Something about this place had rewired the way I listened, the way I looked. I was packed with the strange heaviness of knowing something subtle had shifted. And as the elevator descended, I didn’t feel like I was leaving a hotel—I felt like I was stepping out of a story I’d quietly become part of. - Wandering into the room of Virginia Woolf
SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Wandering into the room of Virginia Woolf 1 June 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Reckoned as a feminist icon and literary genius, Adeline Virginia Woolf is best known for her novel “ Mrs Dalloway”, “To the lighthouse” and essay “ A Room of one’s own”. She was born in an affluent family with literary inclinations shaping her childhood and proclivity for reading and writing. Woolf began to write professionally in 1900 encouraged by her father Leslie Stephen. Her writing style is almost poetic, stream of consciousness of characters binding together the narrative. Like so many writers and artists she wasn’t famous during her lifetime and even several decades after her death. Her popularity rose to newer heights during the 1970s feminist criticism movement. She was a part of Bloomsbury group- a group of English writers, artists and philosophers in the early 20th century which was the hub of art, affairs and intellectual discussions. As Dorothy Parker quipped, “They painted in circles, lived in squares, and loved in triangles”. Viriginia Woolf is also known for her old school romance with her husband decorated with love letters and cute pet names, they called each Mandrill and Mongoose. Virginia was a champion of women equality and independence during her time and lived a life which was unconventional and revolutionary in a sense. One of her most famous longer essays “ A Room of One’s Own” was derived from two lectures she gave at Cambridge University. She talks about “ A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction”. She famously gave an analogy of Shakespeare’s sister who, equipped with the same genius could not be equally famous given the position of her gender. Virginia also talked about Bronte sisters, George Eliot and other women writers who wrote under pen names because that was the only way to move forward in the hallways of the literary world. Yet beneath this shy yet social beautiful writer is a sad woman who was sexually abused as a child and battled mental illness throughout her life. She had a mental breakdown on the death of her mother in 1895. It was the first of many more to come. Institutionalized many times, she attempted suicide and finally one morning in 1941, she filled her pocket with stones and drowned in a nearby river. Leaving behind a legacy of novels, diaries and letters, her life remains an enigma, much like her death. But Virginia, through her sad rebellion and constant musings, fills us with hope. Hope in the strength of good ideas to come forward, irrespective of gender and social circumstances and for us to be forbearers of a future more equitable than the past. - Why is being Real underrated?
SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Why is being Real underrated? 16 July 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Contemporary times arranged our lives and turned it to be a lot easier, organised and captivated. Many of us have an impeccable life in real life but people leading a different life are expected to always look good on parade which intentionally leads to deceiving their own conscience. Having an engaged and often organised life is charming, in today’s times. Nevertheless, all of us can’t possess the same thing. Neither we need to be pretentious of the reality, we are trying really hard to settle in. Every day when we wake up, we have a gruelling fight to win. Life throws uncountable targets on us either professional, emotional, or may be related to our family or relationships. And the majority of us work hard with both our body and soul to accomplish those targets. At times our own high standards become unreachable. Yet every day teaches us a lesson. Wise men learn, move on and never look back because we are neither competing with others nor are we a part of any race, organised by the society, being its Jury. Remember! When babies are born, they are born with their own blessings and short-comings. And since then, we have been building a life of our own. We succeed, we fail, we learn, we let go but we grow because There are no failures, only outcomes, as long as I learn Something, I am succeeding. We all encounter many hassles in life with respect to mental and physical health, appearances, standards of living, comparative status or more but at the very least we should cherish that we are learning and succeeding. A long life is awaited… Start your journey with the hard work you expose. You shall reap what you ought to sow. Pull off the unreal mask you have on your face. Show to the world, true warriors are you, in the race.! It’s about time when individuals shall learn to embrace the scars they are born with or have earned in the journey to reach where they are right now. My two cents here, we should at the minimum spare a minute to understand the beauty of individuals we are moving along, of the people we vicariously live through and of the people we are inspired from. Potentially then we can see right through their perfect personality, the scars they are embracing to be Strong, Fierce, Smart, Gracious, Live, Empathetic and Charming. Every individual has built a historical personality from their lives which was inevitably arduous and exceptionally perfect. And, we are able to build an exceptionally impeccable life because we never underrated our reality of being perfect in our imperfections, strong in our failures, real in this very unreal underrated world. “Don’t look back to what others have, Build your own unique real self. Perfections are underrated, Impeccable is the journey you live in.” SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? - Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era
Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era by Aparajita Jaiswal Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Seerat Kapoor has indeed been an all-rounder through her dancing, singing and acting. When asked about her experience training with Ashleigh Lobo, she reveals- “In all honesty, when I started off as a dancer, I had no long term plan of taking it up as a choreographer. I had merely taken it to train the passion that I have towards dance. I enrolled into Ashleigh’s company as a student, along with a couple of seniors who within my first class spotted me and offered me a scholarship program.” Moreover, the artist claims that she became a co-member of Ashleigh’s team and was landed with the opportunity of working as a choreographer in the movie, Rockstar. Taking a sneak peek into the artist’s journey as an actor, Seerat reveals that performing theatrical dance trained her to “face the camera and the big screen”. Seerat’s parents guided her through the process of training professionally as a singer. “I was very young and my parents had this knack of already understanding that there were two creative kids born to them, my brother and I. My parents thought if I trained, I could potentially stand up in the field of professional singing. At that point, all I wanted was to dance, sing and act. I remember a very open conversation at home about how Hindustani Classical music influences your vocal training.” The artist’s inspiration game is rather idealistic and taken from various forms. “I draw inspiration from everywhere, there are no one or two people, not just industry professionals, but the people I work with. Right from the management to my PR to the team that supports me; everyone inspires me. Seeing old ladies in the gym is an inspiration. Therefore, it’s holistic and I’m also inspired by many films and performances by actors.“ Being a public figure can bring out its “pros and cons”. According to the artist, the perception of a situation and whether it is bound to work in favour or not is in the stride of an actor. Her approach towards negative criticism is constructive as she looks at them as opportunities for her betterment in her art. Seerat Kapoor appeared in Slow Slow music video with Badshaah and Abhishek and has been working on several projects currently. She claims that featuring in Slow Slow music video was extremely good. The opportunity was out of her comfort zone. She added that meeting Badshah created a personal level attachment on a deeper level. In terms of her recent projects, the artist reveals that she has a Bollywood debut release with Tushar Kapoor Entertainment Productions along with veterans such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir. She is currently filming another movie with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi.“ The conversation was extremely delightful. Seerat concluded the interview with a heart- wrenching message for her fans. “I want to tell my fans that they have been such a great support and I won’t stay silent here, because they very loudly cheer for me when I put up something.“ #TaraTaraKhandelwalBooksBooksandbeyondBoundWritersReadersAuthorsLiterary #Love #depression #society #Seerat #Fashion #SeeratKapoor #lutopia #Anxiety #Reality #LutopiaMagazine #skincare #Life #Kapoor #Mentalhealth SEARCH A Journey Shaped By Courage, Creativity, And Social Media With Aditi Sharma COVER STORIES Inner Joy Trails My Inspiration : A Candid Conversation With The Creative Anushka Kaushik COVER STORIES Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview COVER STORIES Educate, Empower, Excel: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's Inspirational Overture COVER STORIES Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey COVER STORIES POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash 4 October 2025 COVER STORIES By Anurag Sen Vivian Dsena: The Fluke Star Who Became Television’s Undying Heartthrob 25 September 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree 22 August 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Off Script, On Truth: Anshumaan Pushkar In His Own Words 30 June 2025 COVER STORIES RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement
- 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty
6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty by Akash Khatri 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty 1 October 2020 LIFESTYLE Advertisement “You look amazing” or “You look so pretty lucky you” Heard these often? If you belong to this category who has heard these kinds of lines a lot in her life from relatives to friends to colleagues then you know it too well that being very pretty is not a great thing or being lucky. Why? Because in the journey of life, you need to face a lot of problems just for being that little extra beautiful than the rest in your current circle. In this write up, I tried to discuss a few common problems that every pretty girl has faced in her life just for being pretty. Hope this would be relatable. Take a look below.. Less Female Friends :-Isn’t that obvious? We all know that “jealousy” is an inherent trait among girls. Well! Not all but most of the girls tend to fall in trap of that green monster whenever it comes to the outer appearance. Why? It’s simple. Because nobody wants to look a little lesser than the other. So, if you are the prettiest among all, probably you would tend to have less female friends. Accept it. No Introduction with Friend’s Partner :– More often than not girls always feel that if there is a better looking girl around them, then their boyfriend would probably end up having an affair with them. Like, seriously? Grow up..!! If your partner really loves you then no matter what, he will be with you and this much trust should be there in a couple. So, unfortunately if you are the better looking one than your girlfriend and if she is kind of insecure about her partner as well as her looks, then you have a bad news girl. You would probably never be introduced to her partner. Opinions & Invitations :– People would either have high opinions about you or they would talk shits. It’s either-or situation. Get it straight. When you are pretty and probably a little more than the rest then, either people would think that you are a snob and avoid inviting you to their parties and would prefer talking less to you. There will always be few unkind people who would bitch about you to make sure that you are not invited. Reason? They do not want others to pay attention to you, miss pretty face. As a result may be you would end up feeling left alone or lonely at times. But that is okay because they do not deserve your attention if they judge you. People are afraid to approach :– People will presume that you would anyways reject them so they never approach you in the first place. Even if they do, they would be really conscious around you that in no way make the equation comfortable for you. Love life:– In a commitment, great..! But God forbids if he looks average in comparison to you then he would always feel insecure about you. Because he would always feel that there is a possibility of you leaving him for better looking options, which might not be true. But, as he knows you are irresistible to look at, he would live in that constant fear of losing you. Consequences of this would not be great either as it would only complicate things between you and your partner. So, make sure you assure and reassure him about your commitment and love towards him. Less Friends of opposite gender :-Need friends but find none? Have you ever noticed that people always want to be your boyfriend and not just good friends? If yes, then you must know why. Who does not want to date a beautiful girl? But it is not mandatory that you would want them as partner, too. The moment you would reject their proposal they would abandon your friendship too (well mostly if not all). And as a result you end up having fewer friends from the opposite gender. Sad, but this is the harsh truth. It is not an universal theory but it happens a lot to pretty girls. Surely they can relate to few of the above discussed points. An advice to all the pretty girls out there, just be you and humble, the way you are. If you look great that definitely is not your fault. Just make sure you are a great person too because at the end that matters the most. Even if you see less people around you, don’t be upset because if people cannot appreciate the good in you and be your friend then it is their problem not yours. Remember, the person who is not perfect in his or her own way would always feel insecure and doubtful about their own existence and in return, they would be angry with you probably because they know your worth and are afraid to accept that truth. Just live your life and along the way you will surely find like-minded people who would embrace you without any hesitations and feelings of insecurities. Till then, be you, be beautiful, not only by outer appearance but from within too. Not for them, but for yourself. - Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024
Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024 By Sakshi Batra Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024 17 December 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Journey of Ishmeet Kaur Ishmeet Kaur - Mrs. India World 2024, For me it was not only a journey of determination, passion and self-belief but also a heart full of gratitude. From a childhood rooted in love and support to challenging societal norms, my journey to becoming Mrs. India World goes beyond the crown. It’s a celebration of inner strength, resilience, and the belief that true beauty comes from within. “I’m not just taking away cherished memories with my sister queens, but also the title that has shaped my journey”. “These 7 days have been more than just an experience, they have been a journey of growth, friendship and empowerment, rather than a competition”. "The lessons learned, the bonds formed, and the unforgettable moments will forever remain with me, serving as a constant reminder of the strength and beauty we all hold within." Source of Inspiration When asked about my biggest source of support, “I credit my mother as my guiding light from being my constant support through thick and thin whenever I felt like giving up, she became my strength and reminded me to keep chasing my dreams until I achieve them”. With her unwavering support, I am who I am today. Her guidance helped me overcome every hurdle that came my way. The crown I wear is not merely a symbol of victory—it embodies my hard work, passion, and self-belief. I didn’t just chase my dreams, I lived them. On the other hand, I often see parents not supporting their child's career choices. To them, my advice is simple: “Never give up on your dreams”. Stay true to your passion and trust your journey. If you remain authentic to yourself and your aspirations, then sky’s the limit. "If you follow your heart with determination, success will undoubtedly find its way to you." The best part of my journey has been the unwavering support of not just my mother, but my entire family and my partner, who stood as my pillars of strength in achieving my dreams. Their only advice to me was simple yet profound: stay true to who you are, and always remain humble and grounded with your fellow contestants. “They mentioned that true beauty comes within and that should reflect through my actions”. The Changing Phase of Pageantry I believe that the world has been undergoing a shift, moving away from the traditional beliefs and stereotypical norms, the days are gone when beauty pageants were just about perfect figures and dazzling smiles but in today’s scenario women with different body shapes and sizes are respected and are being welcomed “Today, the pageants celebrate authenticity and individuality” and the focus has also expanded to inner beauty, confidence, intelligence & social awareness rather than just physical appearance. These days “pageants are embracing diversity in terms of ethnicities, backgrounds, age, sexuality and gender identity”. Pageants now place more emphasis on contestants' intelligence, social awareness and community involvement. Winners are often expected to be role models and advocates for social causes”. This shift reflects a broader, more inclusive vision of beauty. However, the path to success is never easy. “Indian women face many societal restrictions, making it hard to build a career, they must navigate countless obstacles and negotiate at every step to overcome the challenges in their path”. But by participating in Mrs. India World, I feel I have broken stereotypes and shown that no dream is impossible, regardless of marital status. Life Lessons Among the many rounds in the pageant, “My favourite was the personal interview round”. It was a truly special moment that I will cherish for a lifetime, as it gave me the opportunity to connect with each judge one-on-one. “Their humility and inspiring guidance left a lasting impression on me”. Power of confidence & Self-belief What sets me apart from others is not beauty with brains, it was my bolstering confidence, determination and self-belief that got me here and stood me out from everyone else. “I would suggest everyone to follow their heart and not give heat to negative perspectives”. I can't deny that there were moments when I wanted to take a break, do nothing, and just relax. But then I had a self-realisation “I was fortunate enough to be selected among so many talented and brilliant women”. It was a golden opportunity that I couldn’t afford to miss, especially with my dreams so close to being realised. This deep realisation pushed me to stay focused and true to my passion. “It reignited the fire in me to work hard and pursue my dreams with full dedication and honesty”. Favourite Cuisine Even the strict dieters have cravings and for me, it’s Chinese food. "If I had to choose a cheat meal, it would definitely be my favourite Chinese dishes - I just can’t resist them!" Celebrating Talent & Creativity I would be incredibly proud to judge the pageant, and if given the opportunity to create my own round, “I would choose a talent round where all participants could showcase their unique abilities”. Whether it’s singing, dancing, poetry, drama, or any other talent, this round would offer each contestant the chance to express their creativity and passion. “I believe it would provide them with an opportunity to truly shine in something they love, creating a beautiful, personal, and inspiring experience." Redefining Success Ishmeet’s journey is a powerful reminder that success is not just about achievements, but about breaking barriers and staying true to oneself. "Dreams take effort, and sometimes they need a push," but the beauty of the journey lies in overcoming challenges and letting your inner light shine. Her story teaches us that beauty is not just about appearances; it’s about strength, resilience, and the courage to dream big. Ishmeet is living proof that with determination and belief, no dream is ever too far out of reach. Riddhi Nahata, a dynamic influencer and a promising legal professional, is one such trailblazer. In a candid conversation, Riddhi unravelled the secrets behind her successful career as she gracefully dons various hats simultaneously. Transitioning from one field to another can be daunting, but Riddhi Nahata is no stranger to embracing change and taking on new challenges. As a passionate advocate of law and fashion, she found ways to seamlessly combine and switch between her two loves. With a smile, she explains that the key lies in self-learning, time management, and maintaining a balance between both fields. "Patience is something you develop when you switch between professions," Riddhi muses. "Both law and fashion are dynamic fields that evolve over time. Staying updated with the latest trends in fashion and law helps to remain relevant in each area. A career combining multiple passions can be fulfilling and rewarding, allowing you to bring a unique perspective to your work and positively impact both the legal and fashion industries." Riddhi's journey in fashion has been nothing short of transformative. From a tomboy to a fashion influencer, she reflects on fashion's significant change in her life. For her, the technique is not just about trendy clothes; it is a profound form of self-expression that reflects cultural, social, and individual identities. "Today, fashion has become a way of presenting ourselves to the world and how we are perceived by others," Riddhi explains. "It's relatively simple; fashion is wearing any piece of cloth and being extremely confident in it. To build this confidence, it has taken a massive amount of time, but the journey has been worth it." With an impressive list of accomplishments, Riddhi Nahata's dedication and hard work are evident. One of her most cherished milestones is clearing her LLB with first-class honours without compromising her commitment to her influential online presence. Beyond her personal achievements, Riddhi believes in giving back to her community. "Rather than supporting big brands, I believe in supporting local brands, boutiques, and small businesses," she proudly shares. Her love for her city, Nashik, is palpable, and she is determined to contribute positively to the growth of local enterprises. Recently, Riddhi was honoured by the Savvy School of Design and Technology as the Fashion Icon 2023 for her commendable work in modelling and lifestyle influences. Her success in both fields exemplifies the power of perseverance and determination. When asked about her future plans, Riddhi remains optimistic and driven. "The Future depends on what you do today," she remarks. "I will keep engaging, experimenting with my work and content, and giving my hundred percent to work. I'm stepping forward one step at a time, whatever the future holds. Saying 'YES' to everything that comes my way." The past year has seen a surge in influencers across various niches, but Riddhi's journey into the influencer realm holds a unique story. "Covid-19 and its accompanying uncertainties made us lose a lot of things, but on the brighter side, we gained so much in terms of time and passion," she recounts. A turning point in Riddhi's life came when she crossed paths with photographer Yash Newaskar in 2019. Through his lens, she discovered the limitless potential of the influencer field and the immense impact it could create. Since then, Riddhi has relentlessly pursued her passion, and there has been no turning back. "The internet allowed people with unique and specific interests to find like-minded communities, enabling us influencers to cater to niche markets effectively," Riddhi explains. "We often connect with our followers on a personal level, sharing our daily lives, experiences, and opinions. This authenticity and relatability build trust and loyalty among our audience." As we conclude our heartening conversation with Riddhi Nahata, we are left inspired by her commitment to juggling two diverse fields and creating a meaningful impact. 5 Oldest & Famous Film Festivals in the World by Akash Khatri 5 Oldest & Famous Film Festivals in the World 1 December 2020 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Can you imagine a world without movies? Well, I cannot! We all rejoice watching films and film festivals play a vital part by binding the global film culture. Film festivals started back in the 20th century and at present there are almost 3000 active film festivals around the globe. Well, let us dive in and check out of the 5 oldest and famous film festivals in the world: Venice International Film Festival: The very first film festival is the very first film festival that commenced back on August 6, 1932. Initially, it started as a part of the Venice Biennale., which was one of the oldest art exhibitions in Italy. The festival is held in late August or early September on the islands of Lido in the Venice Lagoon. The highest award of this festival is Golden Lion, which is given to the best film screened in this film festival. Moscow International Film Festival: This film festival dates to 1935 but unlike most of the oldest film festivals it is not as famous as other film festivals. One of the reasons being, it was not held every year till 1999. But this is currently growing and attracting better movies and better filmmakers from around the globe. Locarno International Film Festival: This film festival was launched back in 1946 in Switzerland, just after World War II ended. This is held every year to date. The top prize of the festival is the Golden Leopard which is given to the best film in the international category! Cannes Film Festival: The origin of this film festival goes back to the year 1938-39. It is called as “Festival de Cannes” and started in France. The main reason behind starting this film festival was that the French wanted to compete with the Venice Film Festival. Golden Palm is the most prestigious award given to the best-screened film in this film festival. This film festival is held annually but in recent years this film festival has been in news for a lot of controversies! Berlin International Film Festival: This is also known as Berinale, was found in West Germany in the year 1952 (during the Cold War period). Berlin Film Festival has the largest public attendance with a minimum of 3,00,000 tickets sold (approximately) each year. The Golden Bear is the highest prize awarded to the best film at this film festival. #filmlover #awards #Goldenawards #filmmakers #filmfestivals #film SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement
- The Blooming Gallery: A Fever Dream Of Matcha And Moss
By Shriniwas Kodape The Blooming Gallery: A Fever Dream Of Matcha And Moss 15 August 2025 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement She said nothing as she poured the tea. Just placed the glass pot on the table, steam curling upward like a question you weren’t ready to answer, and drifted away through a curtain of hanging wisteria. I didn’t know her name, but it didn’t matter. No one speaks loudly here. The Blooming Gallery isn’t that kind of place. Bangkok, outside, was melting into itself—tuk-tuks honking like arguments, humidity thick enough to chew. But inside this tucked-away glasshouse in Thonglor, time unraveled at its own pace. The air smelled faintly of earl grey, truffle, and damp moss. If you listened closely, you could hear Billie Holiday leaking softly from invisible speakers, and maybe your own breath for once. The entrance doesn’t demand attention. No grand arch, no flash. Just a wooden sign nearly hidden by vines and a single white flower pressed into the menu stand. You step inside and forget the city. Or maybe it forgets you. Tables are scattered like thoughts in a well-kept dream—some under an ivy canopy, others beside glass walls where the sun falls like honey. It’s less a café and more a secret someone decided not to keep. Everything—teacups, cutlery, plates—feels like it was chosen slowly, carefully, as if each belonged to a different memory. I didn’t order right away. Places like this, you don’t rush. You arrive. You adjust. You let your shoulders drop. Eventually, I asked for the matcha latte. When it came, it was almost too beautiful to drink—Kyoto matcha swirled with cream, topped with an edible bloom so perfect it looked fake. It wasn’t. Nothing here is. The food followed in that same quiet rhythm. Angel hair pasta with mentaiko and tiger prawns—delicate, oceanic, whispering of salt and warmth. A fettuccine drowned in truffle cream that made you close your eyes for a second longer than usual. But dessert was the moment everything tilted. A Path in the Forest, they called it. Matcha mousse layered with soft cheesecake and crumbs that tasted like childhood. It wasn’t sweet in the lazy way most desserts are. It was structured, balanced, and surprising—like something your grandmother would make if she had trained in Tokyo and lived in a greenhouse. There’s no table turnover here. No pressure to leave. The staff move like they’ve lived through quieter centuries. No one asks if you’re finished. You stay as long as the tea stays warm. Evening creeps in slowly through the glass ceiling. The shadows stretch. The flowers seem to shift in the changing light. Someone brings a cocktail to the next table—elderflower and gin, the glass rimmed with crushed lavender. The couple beside me stop talking and just hold hands. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant. It feels like an ending you didn’t know you needed. And maybe that’s the point. Outside, Bangkok is still boiling. Still relentless. But inside The Blooming Gallery, you remember how to breathe again. How to sit still. How to let something be beautiful without needing to explain why. You’ll leave, of course. You’ll sweat, and curse the traffic, and scroll through your phone like everyone else. But something soft will follow you, like perfume on an old shirt or a song you didn’t know you remembered. Something that bloomed quietly and refused to die. And you’ll know exactly where to go when you need it again.
