- The orientation of career in our country
SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal The orientation of career in our country 1 June 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Why does India wish to be a Two faction system? Doctors and engineers. Indian society as is known to most of us shows complete dominance over the personal choices of individuals such as career choice, mental health, marriage decision, what should be done or not, opinions and whatnot. The preliminary infusion of career choice in our country is only limited to two professions. Either be a doctor or become an engineer, only then can a person’s life commemorate a moment of success. Although, in this case, we cannot blame the older generation or our ancestors for instilling us with this faction system. If we go back three decades, we could see that there were no such pressures on children to choose out of such choices. The primary reason was that at that time the financial condition of most people used to be very mediocre. They could barely manage the education and livelihood of their family. Thus noble professions such as being a doctor or engineer were a luxury then. The people chose the profession according to the status of their family. So, this economic issue was one of the barriers in earlier times to go for their dream path. The other reason that crippled people from going towards their dream job is nepotism. The notion that children should follow their parents footpath. These issues still stay in society on the metaphorical level. The point here is to understand that even though society is adamant in pressurizing people to change their choices, initially it had some valid and credible reasons as given above. Nepotism is wrong but anyhow the career path is for betterment. The economic reason however is the fault of the other consequences. These two things, although unfair, seem credible. But the fact that only two professions in the whole herd of it can make life successful is so wrong. The two faction system came into existence a decade back where industrialization seemed to uplift the job scale of engineers. Whereas the recent developments in medical sciences lured students to help save some lives. In the initial phase, it was okay, but then students flooded in for enrolling. This created issues for institutions as they had limited numbers of seats. This prompted the creation of a competitive examination. Some time period went smoothly after this. But later on, there was this race to clear these competitive exams to get admissions, which still prevails to this very day. This created a new Industry for the economy, the industry of coaching classes. The situation is such in the country now that everyone only talks about these two exams which either lead to a career in the medical field or the technical field. This has led to the lynching of other careers. In case anyone doesn’t go ahead on these two so-called noble professions, then they are expected to pursue civil services. These are the frameworks that society has lined up for careers, anyone going beyond this threshold value is stupid according to society. The reason is so uncertain for those activities, was it because earlier times they couldn’t pursue medical or engineering, is it because you want your child to leave their dream to pursue something that would make it socially acceptable, is it because you want to keep your dominion over your child all their lives, the reason is unknown. But one thing is sure that those two professions are not your only choices. it also should be known that those two entrances also work at some places to get a better bachelors college. They are not just tickets to medical or engineering. This hidden thing no one knows. No one knows that our country’s research institute also invite people from higher secondary into a BS-MS program. Everyone just gets dejected and chooses a local college for bachelors, and even after that, this doesn’t end. There is no proper cycling up of information regarding plans, masters entrances, etc. This shows that as a country we are not providing our youth with enough information but subjecting them to a bundle of discretion. Many youtube channels have started speaking about this, but as a society, we need to break out of these two factions. We have to understand the happiness of our children, one can paint, write, talk or dance as a career there should not be any indulgence. Even if people go for other professions equal respect should be paid to everyone. It must be known that diversity is the only thing that holds fast throughout all time, a faction system fails when catastrophe comes from all sides. Thus, be aware and make everyone aware. You have the potential to become whatever you want. SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? - Home Ingredients That Dermatologists Swear By
By Anushka Sharma By Anushka Sharma Home Ingredients That Dermatologists Swear By 19 June 2024 BEAUTY Advertisement Advertisement In the quest for healthy and radiant skin, many individuals turn to home ingredients as a natural, cost-effective alternative to expensive skincare products. However, experts emphasize the importance of understanding the root causes of skin issues before adopting any home remedies. Consulting a dermatologist can provide valuable insights into your skin’s specific needs and help you avoid ingredients that may do more harm than good. Most dermatologists offer a guide on the home ingredients that are safe and beneficial for your skin, and those that should be avoided. Safe and Effective Home Ingredients That Dermatologists Love: Turmeric: Known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Can be used in various forms: mixed with milk or water, as a scrub, or as a face pack. Helps achieve glowing, tan-free, and radiant skin. Aloe Vera Gel: Can be store-bought (check ingredients) or directly extracted from the plant. The latter is always better! Rejuvenates the skin and serves as a natural moisturizer. Effective in treating sunburn, cuts, and occasional pimples. Cucumber: Naturally refreshes the skin and reduces puffiness. Can be applied directly to the skin for a cooling effect. Rose Water: Acts as a toner and can be included in face packs. Cleanses and calms the skin, providing a soothing effect. Honey: Rich in antioxidants and possesses exfoliating, moisturizing, and skin-lightening properties. Can be used alone or mixed with yogurt, turmeric, olive oil, etc., for enhanced benefits. Raw Milk: Prevents wrinkles and hydrates the skin. Can be applied directly to the face for a youthful glow. Olive Oil: Excellent for dry skin due to its moisturizing properties. Can be used as a natural remedy for maintaining skin hydration. Coconut Oil: Repairs the skin’s outer barrier and has antibacterial properties. Effective in calming skin inflammation, promoting healing, and slowing down aging. Best suited for dry skin. Yogurt/Curd: Highly moisturizing and can be used alone or combined with honey, aloe vera, turmeric, or olive oil. Beneficial for hydrating the skin and providing a natural glow. Importance Of Diet In Skincare: Most dermatologists stress that skin care is not only about topical treatments but also about what you consume. A diet rich in certain nutrients can significantly improve skin health. Omega-3 Fatty Acids And Polyphenols: Found in fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, and seeds. These nutrients help maintain skin health and fight inflammation. Beta-Carotene Is Your Best Friend: Consuming beta-carotene-rich foods can eliminate pale complexion and protect against winter skin issues. Found in carrots, sweet potatoes, and other colorful vegetables. Never Forget The Importance Of A Balanced Diet: Incorporate ample servings of vegetables, nuts, fruits, and proteins like beans and legumes. A balanced diet strengthens the gut and combats inflammation, reflecting positively on your skin. While home ingredients can be a boon for skincare, it is crucial to use them wisely and in consultation with a dermatologist. Understanding the causes of your skin issues and knowing which ingredients to use can lead to healthier, more radiant skin. Incorporate these dermatologist-approved ingredients into your skincare routine, and complement them with a nutritious diet to achieve the best results. Remember, skincare starts from the inside out, and a holistic approach will ensure long-lasting benefits for your skin. - The Pygmalion Effect
SOCIETY by Akshaya Chandar The Pygmalion Effect 6 August 2022 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Not many may know - the ancient Greek mythological tale of Pygmalion, has been a source of inspiration for more than a hundred works of literature, and about fifty films and plays. To refresh, Pygmalion was the prince of Cyprus and was a great sculptor. He creates an ivory statue of a woman so passionately that he gets obsessed with it. He prays to god for the statue to come alive and the God grants him the same! The Pygmalion is one of the most famous plays by George Bernard Shaw. The wisdom passed down to generations that a strong will can induce life even in a rock. George Bernard Shaw put the same prophecy in the play, and it was also created in the musical composition 'My Fair Lady'. Today we refer to the concept, that a person will achieve or perform as he is expected to perform as "The Pygmalion Effect". The main idea concerning The Pygmalion Effect is that if you believe that someone is capable of achieving greatness then that person will indeed achieve greatness. In other words, believing in potential simply creates potential. "The Pygmalion Effect" may occur all around us-whether it be at work, at schools or even at home. Closer home, the tour of Akshardham Temple at Delhi starts with the same concept of a rock turning into a human, with the qualities that the sculptor sees in it. Here at school, we the parents and teachers can create better students, scholars and pupils just by believing in the fact that they are the best. Let that be in behavior, academics, social conduct or any such attribute. This is truer, when working with underachievers. All it takes is, really believing in this fact. If we relate this closely, for instance, you tell a new teacher in a school - who has no previous experience with her new to be students, that a particular student of hers is extremely bright and clever. The new teacher will automatically be more supportive, more encouraging, teach more challenging material, be patient and allow that student more time to answer questions. The main concern is that this new teacher entirely believes that this student is bright and clever, and so is the converse for which we should be more careful. If I co-relate this with my young friends, I would say-just start communicating with yourself and others, with strengths and qualities, or skills and talents. You must start focusing on all that is positive and dismiss everything that is negative. Believe in yourself and others and you will give yourself the power to change lives. Every human, including you, has strengths, qualities, attributes, talents and skills. Use it for your best advantage. If the famous octopus Paul could create history in World Cup Football by his predictions, should we talk more for humans. Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be. #PygmalionEffect #Cyprus #Sculptor #GeorgeBernardShaw #Myfairlady #Greek SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? - Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026
Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026 By Anurag Sen Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026 24 August 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement There’s an unmistakable presence when a Porsche 911 lines up on the grid: the low, assertive stance, the unmistakable cry of its naturally aspirated flat-six, and the way it demands commitment from anyone behind the wheel. For 2026, Porsche has sharpened that character even further, revealing the 992.2-based evolution of the world’s most celebrated one-make racer, a car designed not to change its DNA, but to elevate it. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car has long been the heartbeat of the Porsche Carrera Cup championships and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup , building a legacy on reliability, drivability, and precision engineering. This new iteration builds on that winning formula with targeted refinements that aim to make it faster, more consistent, and more rewarding over the course of a season. At its heart remains the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, a masterpiece of mechanical honesty now tuned to deliver sharper throttle response and broader power delivery. The output remains at a formidable 510 PS, but Porsche’s engineers have focused on fine-tuning drivability, ensuring racers can extract peak performance lap after lap without sacrificing mechanical sympathy. The six-speed sequential gearbox, operated via steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, returns with updates for quicker, cleaner shifts, marrying durability with precision. Aerodynamics take a leap forward for 2026. Discrete turning vanes hidden behind the wheel arches guide airflow with greater precision, working in tandem with a reshaped underbody that enhances stability when the brakes bite hard. At the rear, a new swan-neck mounted rear wing offers broader adjustability, giving teams the ability to tailor downforce to track conditions without disrupting the car’s finely balanced handling. The net result is a car that feels planted in high-speed corners yet alive in the driver’s hands. Suspension geometry has been subtly reworked to improve mechanical grip, particularly in slow- to medium-speed corners where tenths are often found. Revised damper tuning and reinforced components promise improved feedback without compromising the Cup car’s well-earned reputation for resilience in the heat of competition. New generation Michelin racing slicks developed in parallel with the chassis updates promise better warm-up characteristics and longer peak performance windows. Inside, the 2026 Cup car blends purpose with comfort in the way only Porsche Motorsport can manage. The FIA-compliant safety cage remains a central element, but the seating position has been fine-tuned for better ergonomics and sightlines. A new multi-function display provides clearer telemetry and data readouts, ensuring drivers have instant access to crucial performance information mid-lap. The 992.2 GT3 Cup will make its competitive debut in the 2026 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup before filtering into the Carrera Cup series across the globe. This rollout strategy mirrors the car’s development process, rigorous, global, and laser-focused on ensuring the car is as adaptable to street circuits as it is to fast, flowing tracks. In a motorsport landscape that is constantly evolving, the new 911 Cup remains a purist’s delight: unapologetically mechanical, beautifully engineered, and built to reward commitment. It’s a car that doesn’t just race it continues to teach the art of precision driving, one corner at a time. - How To Build A Skincare Routine In Less Than 10 Minutes
How To Build A Skincare Routine In Less Than 10 Minutes By Anushka Sharma How To Build A Skincare Routine In Less Than 10 Minutes 23 February 2024 LIFESTYLE Advertisement In today's fast-paced world, finding time for self-care can definitely feel like a luxury. However, taking care of your skin doesn't have to be time-consuming. This is a very important aspect of helping your skin be healthy for long, and with the right approach, you can build an effective skincare routine in less than 10 minutes that will leave your skin looking and feeling its best. Here's How To Do It: Know Your Skin Type: The first thing to know is whether you have dry, oily or combination skin. It’s important to know your undertones as well. Understanding your skin type is crucial for selecting the right products. Whether you have oily, dry, combination, or sensitive skin, tailor your routine to address your specific needs. Keep It Simple: Ideally, your skincare routine doesn’t need anything more than a cleanser, a moisturizer and a sunscreen. A minimalistic approach is key to a quick skincare routine. Stick to the essentials and see the magic happen. You can also go for a moisturiser. Never Forget Your Morning Routine: Start your day with a gentle cleanser to remove impurities accumulated overnight. Follow up with a moisturiser containing SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Sunscreen is non-negotiable, even on cloudy days. Hence, use it religiously and use it well. If you’re looking for a sunscreen to opt for, this mineral sunscreen will help you get a toned appearance and assist with UV protection. Stay Consistent: Your skincare routine will be very helpful if you stay consistent. Consistency is key to seeing results with any skincare routine. Make it a habit to cleanse, moisturize, and protect your skin every morning and evening, even on busy days. Listen To Your Skin If You See Any Adverse Changes: Pay attention to how your skin responds to different products and adjust your routine accordingly. If you notice any irritation or sensitivity, switch to gentler formulations or consult a dermatologist for personalized recommendations. Hydrate From Within: This is the most important element that you need to take care of. Remember that skincare isn't just about what you put on your skin—it's also about nourishing your body from the inside out. Drink plenty of water, eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, and get enough sleep for healthy, radiant skin. Sleep is definitely non-negotiable. By following these tips, you can build a skincare routine that fits seamlessly into your busy lifestyle, leaving you with glowing, supple and healthy skin in less than 10 minutes a day. Remember, consistency and simplicity are key, so stick to the basics and listen to what your skin needs. With a little effort and the right products, you can achieve your skincare goals without sacrificing your precious time. Afterall, skincare doesn’t have to be tedious stuff. It has to be something that you can do regularly! - Feminism and what its not
SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Feminism and what its not 1 June 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Feminism: Why such a misunderstood word? Let us first understand what Feminism means, because in India this word is highly victimized, accused, and bullied. Feminism means prophesying equality from the point of view of a woman. Unlike the meanings that this word is given in this country, it does not promote gender inequality or tries to prove that men are in any way inferior to women. It is just equivalent to the concept of gender equality only within the viewpoint of a woman. Now, there will come questions why this viewpoint is considered from a woman’s point of view, why there isn’t a term called menism. It’s a completely healthy argument, but there is one phenomenon that the world has landed on and it still hasn’t recovered from ever since the dawn of it. The phenomenon is nothing but the most crucial of the societal construct that our ancestors instilled in our minds, called Patriarchy. This term means to have a societal construct completely dominated, ruled, and exorcised by men. that women are the second citizens, unturned and incapable of making any decision even for themselves. This particular thing has led to centuries of oppression of women. Women were the ones who had to take a step back to follow the path of a man. A mother sacrificed her needs, her interests to raise a son, a wife left her family and comfort to foster a man to build his empire. There was an eternity-long sacrifice that women adsorbed, absorbed, and digested to make a man what he is today. This makes a man privileged and a privileged person’s point of view can diminish the idea of Equality. There are no shaming men here, it’s just that it is hard to give up the privileges. If you are the decision-maker of what ice cream to eat in your ice cream shop, you can obviously pick your favorite, but an outsider will ask about the availability of that ice cream. It is the same way in the world, a woman is not granted all she wants but a man can take anything he wants as granted. A man can wear whatever he wants, roam whenever and wherever he wants, have any type of friend circle as he wishes, etc. But, at each step of the way a woman has to climb a bigger mountain to enjoy those same mundane things that a man is freely doing. And thus, there is a need to look at what woman’s needs are and how we can address them to match at the same level as men. Hence, we are viewing this equality concept from the eyes of a woman. But, sadly this concept is pathologically broken into pieces in Indian society. Indian society thinks that feminism is the chivalry of women as a way to seek attention, as a way to disrespect their religion, and most importantly as a way to demean men. In reality, it boosts women to actually understand the viewpoint of men, to understand the struggles that men face. The point of feminism is never chivalry but peace and a sense of responsibility, credibility, but we have made it such chaos that there are no bounds to it. As in every construct, here also the reason that such misunderstanding of the terminology is due to unawareness of knowledge or its lack thereof. The concept of lacking this knowledge is in rural parts that have brought themselves up in a highly conservative stature. The unawareness on the other hand is the bigger evil that spurs out of educated, civilized people who pass any comment bashing the male gender in the banner of feminism. Feminism is not threatening a man with sexual harassment lawsuit or mocking when a man gets in trouble. Feminism is in understanding that both women and men have their flaws and quirks. That both genders need equal rights, support, and law to reach a point of ethical correctness. Feminism is upholding the banner that we all are humans and we all need the same things. Feminism is understanding one another, in a way it prompts gender sensitization. It is all that word equality resonates with its every alphabet. One thing is to be understood that the ladder is for the oppressed to climb to the same pedestal as the privileged not to raise one above another.
