  • Raveena Mehta, The Rising Phoenix

Raveena Mehta, The Rising Phoenix by Naisargi Devdher Raveena Mehta, The Rising Phoenix 17 September 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement The beautiful and incredulous singer, Raveena Mehta talks about her journey of becoming a singer and the path of good mental health that can lead one there. This story comes from the very depth of Raveena Mehta's journey as an artist, especially with the Pandemic hitting the world hard. Speaking of which, she mentions, "When the pandemic hit, I lived in my home studio. I have a home set up where I record a lot of my music. I decided to get into a routine to make a cover everyday and worked on composing. This led me to release around 7 songs in 2020 which was a great feeling. It has been incredible to see the way India has digitized over the last two years, an immense amount of technological progress." Speaking of success, it's one of the most beautiful feelings in the entire world; when reality strikes an artist! It just glows over the body and the mind, when the artist makes it big in the industry. However, Raveena does not recollect any such moment where she realized she was going big, but continues to say, "I don't think there was ever such a moment where I realised I was going big, but when I was approached to demo with 'Casanova Acoustic', that felt pretty great! Reality striking was never a daunting thing, reality is also what you make of it and depends on how you are viewing your cup, hopefully always half full. I also believe maintaining a small inner circle is one of the most important things to remain grounded and level headed in a whirlwind of an industry." Raveena is not only successful nationally but recognised for her talent all over the globe, at film festivals and red carpets. Raveena exclaims gratefully, "For artists, it is always incredible to be able to see your work being recognised globally. I find it endearing when my Hindi songs are appreciated in Cannes. When I was there for the Film festival, it felt brilliant to know the music that comes from India is so sought after." Singing soulfully has always reached to the most interior bosom of a being and in doing so, Raveena Mehta has attained incredulous levels of success! "I define success with deriving happiness. I tend to keep myself and my headspace quite process oriented and so I find happiness in smaller, process driven moments. Of course, when I release a song and I can see that people appreciate the music, that most definitely also makes me feel successful. Success for me means earning respect and focusing on my happiness." When the appreciation of fans and people hits, the gaze is difficult to handle. The expectations, the build ups or the love is tedious and risky to respond to! Raveena truly respects all her listeners and fans, understanding that respecting them would earn her respect! "I truly respect all my listeners and fans. I feel blessed to know that people out there listen to and appreciate my music. I try to meet their expectations with my music. I truly feel like as an artist, you have to strike a balance between the things that want to be heard from you and the things you wish to create, remaining authentic and yourself. There’s a happy medium in there somewhere." When the audience speculate rumours, or show disrespect towards the art and the song, many artists feel undervalued. Everyone is entitled to their own tastes and opinions. To this day, in the world, the fear of a song being perceived incorrectly, is tremendous and has the capacity of wrecking one's mental health. Raveena, reflects on both, the expectations of people as well as one's mental health. "In my opinion, music is art and ultimately art is subjective and open to interpretation. To that point, I feel it becomes imperative to try to detach yourself from the work to an extent; so you can allow the work to grow and evolve wholeheartedly. I personally don't think I have ever felt too worried about a song being misinterpreted or misunderstood." Raveena also talks about how one's mental peace is key while working in a creative field. Creating can only be brought forward with a clear mind and peaceful environment. "Mental health is everything. I believe strongly in preserving one's mental sanctity, constantly focusing on self betterment and doing the things that make you the best version of yourself. These are definitely deliberate efforts and as for me, singing and drawing is therapeutic and it definitely helps me remain in touch with myself." Having said that, a lot of discipline is required from one's team as well. Every form of art, including a well produced album requires a strong and disciplined team. Raveena also comments on the same saying, "One annoying trait for me is tardiness, I generally find it annoying especially if it is concerning work for example in the form of a meeting. But hey, I also recognise that Mumbai traffic is also very hectic." Hectic schedules and a demanding creative field, on several instances, can also lead to mind blocks. Raveena adds, "If I ever have a mind block while i’m working, I tend to take some time for myself; I either go for a walk or do something that brings me a lot of peace. I try to disassociate any kind of pressure that is possibly creating a wall between my thoughts and inspiration." This global icon reinforced the importance of being true to herself while retaining the soul of her music and the integrity of her sound. However while acknowledging all of it, she remarked on a very beautiful note, "I find that sometimes in chasing trends, it is very easy to lose the soul of the music. In today's age with reels, tiktok and instant gratification which is equally as important to generating viewership, this can also be a double edged sword. While a lot of today's artists consider trends, it is also important to consider and retain the soul and integrity of your sound." The Legacy Of Gold: A Journey Through Time With Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers By Anushka Sharma The Legacy Of Gold: A Journey Through Time With Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers 19 July 2024 FASHION Advertisement In the very heart of Bihar, a state steeped in the richness of tradition and culture, lies Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers , a family-owned jewellery business that has been passed down through six generations. With a legacy that spans over a century, this jeweller has seen it all - from the rise and fall of empires to the evolution of consumer preferences. Isn’t that a note-worthy, admirable legacy? When asked about the inspiration behind their collections, the jeweller revealed that their focus lies in creating everyday light wear jewellery that caters to the average Indian, with a special emphasis on the rural market. With a price range that starts from a lakh and goes up to 25 lakhs a piece, their jewellery is designed to be worn and treasured for generations to come. They’re deemed as heirloom pieces and cherished by the families through generations. When asked about the typical customer who walks into their store, the jeweller described an average Indian household that comes with a lot of trust and savings, looking for a piece that will hold its value and be cherished for years to come. After all, don’t we love the idea of good jewellery for a beloved’s wedding? Mr. Bhavesh revealed that most of their jewellery is purchased for weddings, gifting, and self-use, with a focus on gold jewellery that holds investment value. When asked about the current trends in the industry, the jeweller noted a resurgence in the demand for gold jewellery, particularly in certain markets. While diamond and Kundan jewellery have gained popularity in recent years, the jeweller believes that gold will always hold its value and remain a preferred choice for Indians. Jewellery and skin tones: When it comes to skin tones and colours, the jeweller explained that yellow gold stands out well on Indian skin, making it a popular choice for the Indian subcontinent. However, for those with a fairer skin tone, rose gold and white gold can be a good option. The jeweller also emphasized the importance of tradition and customs in the Indian jewellery industry, stating that yellow gold will always be the preferred choice due to its cultural significance. Beyond the point of sale, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers engages with customers through local events, music concerts, and CSR initiatives. With a strong offline presence, Mr Bhavesh believes that trust and legacy are key to their success. When asked about the challenges they faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, the jeweller revealed that while it was a difficult time for many jewellers, their business actually saw a surge in sales as people turned to investment opportunities. Is gold a viable option for investment in today’s times? In today's economy, Mr Bhavesh believes that gold is a superb investment option, offering returns of 5% to 6% every year. With a plan to establish an online presence in the next 6 to 9 months, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers is confident that their legacy will continue to shine for generations to come. Lastly, he also emphasized the importance of education in the jewellery industry, stating that not many brand owners today have a qualification in jewellery. All that one requires is a burning desire for a business of gemstones. Mr Bhavesh has had an impactful qualification to back his career in gemmology though: He has graduated as a gemologist from Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad. Needless to say, with a focus on gold and a commitment to quality, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers is a true testament to the power of legacy and tradition in the Indian jewellery industry. • Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance

Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance By Anushka Sharma Anaya Collection Unveils "Gaudí’s Reverie" At Dubai Fashion Week: A Fusion Of Love, Technique, And Playful Elegance 11 September 2024 FASHION Advertisement Dubai Fashion Week 2024 witnessed a breathtaking intersection of art, architecture, and fashion with the debut of Anaya Collection’s latest couture line, "Gaudí's Reverie," for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. Opening Couture Day 3 of this prestigious event, Anaya captivated attendees with a stunning presentation inspired by the genius of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. The collection, titled “Gaudí's Reverie,” is a vivid homage to the artist’s philosophy of love, technique, and boundless creativity. Gaudí, celebrated for his fusion of organic forms with intricate artistry, has long been a source of fascination for creatives across disciplines. For Chathuri, the creative director of Anaya Collection, this admiration was deeply personal. “To do things right, first you need love, then technique,” a famous Gaudí quote, resonated powerfully with her when she visited the Sagrada Familia museum in Barcelona. This sentiment became the foundation of the collection, where love and precision merge to create garments that are as emotionally moving as they are technically flawless. Reflecting on Gaudí’s visionary approach to blending nature with art, "Gaudí's Reverie" draws inspiration from the architect's signature use of organic forms, vibrant mosaics, and dynamic color palettes. The collection's journey into the whimsical and sublime brings Gaudí’s ethos to life, offering an exquisite visual narrative woven with fabrics, textures, and colors that mimic the bold creativity of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces like Park Güell and Casa Batlló. Chathuri explained the profound impact of Gaudí’s work on the Anaya design process, emphasizing how his philosophy aligns with the brand's values. “Our designs are born out of love, but they are brought to life through technique,” she said. This seamless connection between the emotional and technical elements of design is evident in the craftsmanship behind each piece in the collection. A Celebration of Gaudí’s Artistic Vision The collection is a vibrant homage to Gaudí's artistic mastery, where every detail—down to the last bead—mirrors the architect’s celebrated style. Surfaces are adorned with intricate hand embroidery and beading, reminiscent of the colorful mosaics that define Gaudí’s works. Fabrics such as glass organza and double-weave satins are carefully manipulated to mimic nature-inspired motifs, a nod to Gaudí’s ability to draw beauty from the organic world. The craftsmanship extends to the use of hand-dyed ombré beaded tulles and fabric draping techniques that resemble the dynamic movement of Gaudí’s forms. Particularly striking is the incorporation of 3D draping, laser cutting, and ombré color dyeing, which pay tribute to the architectural layers and the unique interplay of light and shadow that Gaudí so masterfully achieved in his buildings. Each piece of the collection embodies the spirit of his work, combining joyful vibrancy with profound attention to detail. The vibrant color palette, ranging from earthy tones to bright hues, echoes the mosaic artistry of Park Güell and the sweeping forms of Casa Batlló. The collection’s silhouettes, which are fluid and dynamic, exude a sense of playful freedom—a quality that defines both Gaudí’s architecture and the ethos of Anaya Collection. These garments are not just fashion pieces; they are living, breathing artworks that invite the wearer to experience the world through Gaudí’s imaginative lens. Anaya’s Homage to the Childlike Wonder of Creation “Gaudí's Reverie” delves deep into the childlike wonder and unbounded creativity that defined much of Gaudí’s work. This theme of exploration, where imagination reigns supreme, is infused throughout the collection. The silhouettes, much like the undulating forms of Gaudí’s architecture, are fluid, joyful, and uninhibited. From whimsical, voluminous gowns to structured yet flowing pieces, each design encourages the modern-day power woman to embrace her own sense of wonder and creativity. The collection also celebrates the vibrant energy of contemporary femininity. Designed for the woman who is both playful and powerful, these garments are more than just beautiful; they represent freedom, strength, and individuality. “Gaudí's Reverie” reminds us that fashion, much like architecture, can be a medium for storytelling, where garments transcend the material to evoke emotional and sensory experiences. An Unforgettable Experience at Dubai Fashion Week The debut of "Gaudí's Reverie" marked a standout moment at Dubai Fashion Week. The collection not only showcased Chathuri’s deep admiration for Gaudí’s work but also highlighted the designer’s extraordinary ability to translate architectural brilliance into couture fashion. The Anaya Collection’s presentation left the audience mesmerized, with each look a testament to the marriage of love and technique that Gaudí so championed. Opening Couture Day 3 on the 3rd of September, 2024, at 6 PM, Anaya Collection created an unforgettable fusion of fashion and architecture. The show was a true celebration of artistry, creativity, and the timeless beauty of Gaudí’s legacy. As attendees witnessed the collection's unveiling, they were invited to step into a world where the boundaries between fashion, architecture, and art dissolved, allowing love, imagination, and technique to reign supreme. • The Queen Of The Unconventional Pantless Trend: Kristen Stewart

The Queen Of The Unconventional Pantless Trend: Kristen Stewart By Rini Pathak The Queen Of The Unconventional Pantless Trend: Kristen Stewart 16 March 2024 FASHION Advertisement Pulling off the ultimate boss babe avatar, looks like Kristen Stewart has mastered the latest pantless trend. The Twilight alum’s clothing is dominated by corpcore, and it shows. During her trip to New York for the film’s marketing, Love Lies Bleeding, the actress showcased her daring side by joining the micro shorts craze exactly one week after she made her red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of the film, only sporting a cut-out high-leg backless leotard and tights that took the no pants trend to heights of next level. Her all-black outfit of the day from Brunello Cucinelli, an Italian premium label, including a nude collared shirt with one button closed and the others open. A carefree mood emanated from the rolled sleeves and side pocket. Peeking out from underneath was a neutral-toned Victoria’s Secret bralette. The crocheted beige panties with brown borders were the true focal point of the ensemble. Kristen put all her trust in that tiny outfit. Her sole accessories were silver statement rings and brown-tinted sunglasses, and her elegant avatar was completed with a black quilted Gucci purse. Wearing two distinct styles of micro shorts in a single day; it certainly seems like she is currently competing with Kendall Jenner to be the unofficial style icon. Later on the very same day, Kristen did make a little alteration to her appearance by wearing maroon loafers with tassels instead of heels, buttoning all but the top few buttons on her shirt, and putting her disheveled hair up in a messy updo. A complete change of clothes happened later in the same day. Kristen wore a black t-shirt with side panels and lace sleeves this time. It had a high neck. The top also had a white collar, and the chest was adorned with a tiny white Chanel insignia. Kristen accessorized it with the same maroon shoes from earlier in the day, black leg warmers bearing the Chanel logo, and high-waist black sports style micro shorts with a white trim. She wore black Ray-Ban wayfarers instead of red-tinted geometric sunglasses, and her hair was done in an updo with a wet effect. Tara Swennen, Kristen’s stylist, was responsible for both of her fits. She is also the person behind her risqué leotard appearance. Tara’s styling of these ensembles reads almost as a critique on current fashion trends. The majority of people don’t feel comfortable wearing pantless suits, skimpy clothing, or open-collared shirts on a daily basis. However, seeing Stewart’s lingerie so prominently displayed serves as a reminder that, despite their celebrity status, celebrities also have physical concerns. Essentially, Kristen Stewart’s style selections are a reflection of her unshakable sincerity and defiance of social norms. Regardless of whether she’s walking the red carpet or hitting the streets, Stewart’s sense of style continues to be a tribute to uniqueness, personal expression, and the ability of fashion to change lives. True style has no borders, as Kristen Stewart consistently pushes boundaries and defies expectations. • The Skill Of Ageing Gracefully: Secrets From The Land Of Longevity

The Skill Of Ageing Gracefully: Secrets From The Land Of Longevity By Rini Pathak The Skill Of Ageing Gracefully: Secrets From The Land Of Longevity 17 March 2024 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Japan is one of the most futuristic nations in the world. It is a nation with a wealth of things to offer. The list is endless and includes things like modern washrooms, luxurious automobiles, and distinctive cultures. The icing on the cake are the Japanese ideas that change people’s lives for the better. In today’s hectic and fast-paced world, they are indispensable for achieving contentment and tranquility. After all, the life expectancy rate in Japan is the second highest. Surely, they must be taking some steps to achieve such results, right? So, today let us take a tour of Japan’s famous concepts (virtually of course) and understand how these concepts would let us live a happier and successful life which might be a reason for our longevity. IKIGAI: The words, “Iki” and “gai,” which were previously called “kai” and signify “life” and “value” or “worth,” respectively, are the roots of the term “Ikigai.” Originally, the goal of Japanese Ikigai philosophy was to discover one’s actual happiness. According to a contemporary perspective, it is a technique for locating one’s ideal job. By matching one’s passion with what the world needs right now, one may utilize it as a compass that informs one what they are destined to do. SHINRIN-YOKU: Shinrin-yoku, commonly referred to as forest bathing, is a practice that entails submerging oneself in the natural world and inhaling the scents of the forest. It’s thought to improve general wellbeing, elevate mood, and lessen stress. In today’s hectic and technology driven world, we hardly ever have time to disconnect from technological devices and the daily grind. Shinrin-yoku enters the scene here as a readily available, cost-free therapeutic counteragent. WABI-SABI: Do you frequently find it difficult to go on or begin anything new because your default setting is to strive for perfection? Then, the concept of Wabi-Sabi is perfect for you. Wabi-Sabi is the practice of reminding ourselves that nothing in this world is permanent and that striving for perfection is pointless, we must strive to appreciate its inherent beauty and make the greatest possible use of it. HARA HACHI BU: This idea originates from Okinawan culture, where it’s customary to eat until 80% full. In the culture, it is believed that people can prevent overeating and excessive calorie intake by stopping their meals before they are fully satisfied. Hara hachi bu is a technique that can lengthen life and assist in stopping overeating. This technique is thought to improve digestion, help people lose weight, and improve general health. MA: “Ma” denotes the idea of negative space, or the space between things, in Japanese terminology. It is the area that is often left purposefully vacant or uncertain in between things, factors, or times. Ma is the presence of potential and possibility as well as the absence of something. Ma is a refined practice in Japanese culture that enables one to reflect in silence. It improves one’s intuition and cerebral faculties and hence is a physical representation of spirituality. SHIKATA GA NAI: The Japanese idea of Shikata Ga Nai, also known as Sho(ga) nai, means relinquishing control over uncontrollable things. Shikata Ga NAi, which merely means “it can’t be helped,” exhorts individuals to accept circumstances or things for what they are. In other words, it communicates the idea of accepting the situation as it is and moving on without focusing on the things that cannot be altered. Therefore, it is clear from the article that including the above said ideas into daily living can improve one’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being, which will ultimately result in a more fulfilling and satisfying life. Let me tell you here that if you have the determination, discipline, and commitment to live a meaningful life, practicing them is simple. These Japanese ideas will give you the bravery, fortitude, and knowledge to handle any hardship with grace, and they will completely change your life for the better. • From The Silver Screen To Human Rights Advocacy With Award Winning Actress Sheena Chohan

From The Silver Screen To Human Rights Advocacy With Award Winning Actress Sheena Chohan By Anushka Sharma From The Silver Screen To Human Rights Advocacy With Award Winning Actress Sheena Chohan 21 August 2024 COVER STORIES Advertisement L’utopia Magazine recently had the pleasure of speaking with the multi-talented Sheena, who has carved a niche for herself in both the Indian and international film industries. With a Cannes accolade, numerous awards, and an inspiring role as the ambassador for United for Human Rights , Sheena’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. In this conversation, she opens up about her experiences, her upcoming projects, and her passion for human rights. How has the journey been for you lately, Sheena? Sheena:It's been incredibly exciting! Recently, I won three awards for my film Amar Prem, which premiered at Cannes and has already garnered about 15 awards. It’s a beautiful short film, an emotional drama about a love triangle, reminiscent of classic stories like Silsila. My role as a devoted wife who discovers her husband’s illness was deeply challenging yet rewarding, and receiving recognition for it has been a dream come true. Your film’s success at Cannes is incredible! How was your experience at the festival? Sheena: Having my film premiere at the main tent at Cannes was surreal. But this year has been non-stop for me. I recently completed my Hollywood debut in a film called Nomad, directed by Taron Lexton, who's now working on a major project with Tom Cruise. Creating characters with such a talented team was a pure collaboration that pushed me to explore my craft in new ways. The international exposure has been amazing, and I’m eager to continue working with passionate directors and storytellers. How does working in Hollywood compare to Bollywood? Are there significant differences? Sheena: The working styles are different, yes. Hollywood tends to be more organized and professional, while Bollywood, though also organized, has its unique, more spontaneous energy. However, the dedication to making impactful cinema is the same in both industries. I believe the lines between Hollywood and Bollywood are blurring, especially with the rise of OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon, which are bringing diverse stories to global audiences. Speaking of OTT platforms, what do you think the future holds for the industry? Sheena: I’m not a trade analyst, so I can’t predict the future, but I’m excited about the opportunities OTT platforms are creating. This year, I’ll be seen in a web series called Bhayava, where I play a she-devil, a role inspired by characters like Maleficent. OTT has opened up space for strong female leads and character-driven stories, which is fantastic for actors like me who crave diverse roles. You’ve also made significant strides as a UN Human Rights Ambassador. Can you share a bit about that journey? Sheena: Absolutely! I’ve been an ambassador for the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights for nearly a decade now. This year, I was honored with the Presidential Award in America, signed by President Biden, for reaching 170 million people with human rights education. My ultimate goal is to make human rights education mandatory in schools across India, as I believe it’s crucial for creating a positive change in society. It’s a cause that I’m deeply passionate about, and I’m committed to using my platform to further this mission. That’s truly inspiring. On the film front, what can we look forward to from you next? Sheena: I am thrilled about my Bollywood debut in Sant Tukaram, a historic biopic directed by Aditya Om, where I play a powerful lead role. It’s a dream project for me, given the depth and intensity of the character. I’ve always dreamed of being an actor since I was two years old, and now, I’m living that dream. You’ve had an impressive journey, training in theater and working across different film industries. What advice would you give to aspiring actors? Sheena:My advice would be simple: Don’t give up. This industry is full of setbacks, rejections, and challenges, but perseverance is key. Also, be professional and committed to your craft. Dedication and commitment can take you a long way, and you never know when your big break might come. Are there any directors you’re particularly eager to work with in the future? Sheena: I admire the work of directors like Anubhav Sinha, Raju Hirani, Shekhar Kapur, and Rajamouli. Each brings something unique to the table, whether it’s drama, comedy, or epic cinema. I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible filmmakers so far, and I look forward to collaborating with more in the future. You’ve worked in both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. How do the two compare? Sheena: The Southern film industry is more personalized, with a strong emphasis on relationships and a family-like atmosphere on set. Bollywood, on the other hand, operates more like a corporate entity with agencies and PR's involved. But, as I mentioned earlier, the industry is evolving, and there’s a lot of crossover happening now between Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Finally, what kind of stories do you gravitate towards, and what excites you most about your work? Sheena: I love stories that are character-driven, whether it’s drama, comedy, or epic biopics. One of my all-time favorite films is Avatar by James Cameron. I’m particularly drawn to roles that allow me to explore different facets of human emotions and tell relatable stories that resonate with audiences. Through the conversation, it was evident that Sheena is not just an actor but a passionate advocate for human rights, a dreamer who has turned her childhood aspirations into reality, and an artist who continues to seek out meaningful stories to tell. Her journey serves as an inspiration to many, and we eagerly anticipate the next chapter in her remarkable career. • Dear Earth

SOCIETY by Anushka Singh Dear Earth 1 October 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Dear Earth, I hope you’re doing fine. It has been an extended time since we last talked. To be honest, I feel wordless. It’s one of those dilemmas where we have got an entire ocean of thoughts inside us but we feel clueless of how to let it flow. We’ve been here before for countless times, the crisis chats, arguments, disputes, tears, promises and plenty more. But now, it’s different. Now I understand why they say: “It’s not you, it’s me.” I loved you from the instant I became capable of even understanding words like these. I saw your unequaled beauty, your tenderness and warmth, your soothing and diligently devoting nature. Although you never reacted to my ceaseless vents, you continued to make me feel the solace around you that I felt nowhere else. And, I am thankful. You have always been there, making me feel the very fact that I am not alone, through your littlest of efforts. Nightly, when I’ve spent hours watching the sky trying not to feel sad, you made me feel your presence. Every sundown, after I sat on the waterfront admiring your charm, the wind kissed my cheeks. I do know it surely was you, notifying that you love me back. I muse on all the content times we humans explored your magnificent mountains and endless seas; after we lazed in your sun, pacified by your pleasing breeze. I always hoped for these precious moments which are so near my heart, to never end. Over the years, I have tried to carry out my part of promises. I assumed multiple times, why do you even need me or people to talk on your behalf if you are the one to create us in the first place. I wasn’t sure if it was just another trick of yours to make people act or you were just terrified of something. I feel apologetic to admit, I didn’t even ask you. You were and you have always been my ally, my best friend and I like a stupid, just assumed that I knew what was best. I guess that is the point, isn’t it? You kept trying to speak. To me, to people, to the universe. We just took it light enough for you to destroy yourself. But today, I accept. It isn’t you, it’s me; it’s us. The reason i’m writing this letter is because I have realised something. It’s not you who needs the saving, it’s me. It’s me and us, the humans. We humans, who try to become the hero for you, forgot that you don’t actually need one. In those magnificent mountains and endless seas, lies the flair for us to nourish, clothe and foster ourselves, without limit. Your warm sun and pleasing breeze can give us the energy to learn, work and prosper over a lifetime. You’ve always been there helping us literally survive and live. You have been there in every way that you could but when came our turn, we backed off. We became selfish as we are. Dear earth, here I am. Here I am, apologizing on behalf of the whole civilization and human race, for destroying all that you gave us with all of your love. I am sorry, for the things that i could not stop and the things i am unable to change anymore. Please know, all of me loves all of you regardless of anything. It’s just that you won the game of proving yourself and I failed. Yours truly, Someone who is really sorry.
