  • When It Comes To Shop Fashionable Items Here’s What Most Men Want

by Yashi Srivastava When It Comes To Shop Fashionable Items Here’s What Most Men Want 12 February 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement The time when men hated shopping is long gone. Today, most men want to look good and feel good and so, want to shop good. Even though there are certain differences between what men and women want when they go out to shop for clothes, accessories, shoes, and more! So, what is it that most men want when they go shopping for clothes and other fashion items? Men want to be clear on what they want Most men do not like wasting time in several shops and showrooms before deciding on what they want. It is not an opportunity to socialize with other men, for them. So, the best thing that a man can do before going out shopping is to make a list of all the fashion items he wants, including the design or color he wants. For instance, if you want to buy a shirt, do a little research to get an idea of what kind of shirt you want -the design, color, style, etc. along with the store which may have it. You can find the store on Google to and go straight into it. They want to shop with convenience Men do not want to browse through an ocean of clothes or jeans or accessory to find that one perfect fashion item they had in mind. Woman, certainly would bring down an entire mountain to find that peach dress which Rachel wore in FRIENDS, but men just don’t care. So, they would usually prefer to go inside the showrooms that have MEN section. If you have a fashion store, pay heed to this and create a section exclusively for men. It may be a big reason why most men love to shop online - they do not have to go out and search for their section in the store! If it is not a gadget or equipment, money certainly matters to men While most men love to shop fashion these days, unlike women, they would want to see the value in the product. In other words, whether they are shopping online or at a store, the brand has got to show its worth to them otherwise it would most certainly be a no from men. Most men like branded clothes and shoes but they wouldn’t appreciate the idea of expensive for no reason. Once they find their go-to brand, they will stick to it for years Men want to find a fashion brand that suits them and they would certainly be their loyal army for years and years! Why do you think most men go to Levis? It is because the brand has established a connection with them that most fashion brands cannot simply because Levis understand and connects with men’s psyche. The brand offer discounts, offers, and loyalty programs to reel men in and well, most men like it. Online stores over offline showrooms As mentioned already, most men like convenience, even when shopping for clothes or other fashion items. So, yes, online shopping preferable over offline, and they wouldn’t mind paying more for this, we mean the delivery charges. Well, it’s understandable for even women enjoy the comfort part. So, remember to give them the value of their money, exclusive space, and of course, a loyalty program to relate to, and you would see that even though men have it their way, they wouldn’t mind going out to shop every weekend. Blob - With the changing fashion world, why wouldn’t men embrace the idea of shopping fashionable items for themselves? Gone are the days when men didn’t want to look good. With changing times, even male shoppers want to explore the best in fashion but in their own way! If it has value, convenience, and style, men of this generation will buy it! • Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey

by Panav Minocha Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey 29 December 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Advertisement Waluscha De Sousa is an Indian actress and model who made her debut into Bollywood in the 2016 film Fan. She was recently in the Hindi-language thriller on Sony Liv-Tanaav. Waluscha made her debut into the fashion and modeling industry at the early age of 16. When asked the pros and cons of this early venture into the world of glamour, she replied that she didn’t plan at first to start working at 16. However, she just happened to be discovered at that age by the late fashion designer Wendell Rodricks, and felt extremely fortunate to have worked under his guidance. “He held my hand and never let go. I was very very lucky and very very fortunate to have someone like him (Wendell)”, she said. Having achieved milestones early on in her career, Waluscha mentioned how she became the face of Wendell’s clothing brand, got to be on the cover of a Femina magazine at the age of 17, and starred in a Pepsi commercial with Shah Rukh Khan at the same age. She also talked about how she went onto becoming MTV’s fresh face, and walked in the first Lakm é fashion week in India. She expressed immense gratitude towards Wendell Rodricks for all these achievements. “I owe him so much. So much of what I am today wouldn’t have been possible without him. For me, the journey was smooth with a few bumps along the way, but when I look back I’m just very grateful for having somebody like that in my life.” Waluscha comes from a mixed cultural background, being half Goan-Portuguese (from her father’s side) and half German (from her mother’s side). She was asked how this affected her career, and if it hampered it in any way. Her response: “Yes and no. I inherited my mother’s external appearance. This helped me immensely in the glamour industry. Although, I am inherently very much Indian and I’ve inherited this from my father.” She explained how India and Indian culture played a huge role in her life. “I was born and brought up in India, studied in India, and have my friends and family here.“ On the other hand, Waluscha also talked about some hardships she faced in the film industry. “Unfortunately I didn’t see the same embrace in the film industry. There was this preconceived notion in everybody’s heads that I was not Indian and didn’t speak the language, or I’m not desi, when it’s actually quite the contrary.” She said that she knew how to read and write in not only Hindi, but having grown up in Goa, was fluent in Marathi and Konkani just as well. “All the work that I’ve done in web-series and films has helped me break this notion.” Starting her career as a model, Waluscha only later ventured into the film industry. When asked if this was always her goal or if it happened inevitably, she replied that acting was something she always wanted to do. “The arts were something which always attracted me. Goa is a land filled with singers, musicians, and theatre. I was always drawn to the stage, and you would have seen me on the stage much more than you would see me in the classroom. It was a space that I really enjoyed and it was always inherently who I was. “ Waluscha also appeared to be incredibly enlightened by the response that her latest series- Tanaav, has received. “Tanaav has helped me break the notion that I am in some way un-Indian much more than any of my other work done in the past. The response that has come in post Tanaav has been overwhelming. I cannot even describe the feeling. Two days post it’s release, suddenly everyone knew my name, people who matter actually saw and appreciated my work…” Tanaav is a Hindi-language action thriller streaming on Sony Liv, revolving around conflict in the Kashmir Valley. It is a remake of the Israeli TV series Fauda, which is streamed internationally on Netflix. Waluscha plays the role of Zainab Riaz in the show. • Most Colorful Cities In The World - why you should visit them?

by Priti Sharma Most Colorful Cities In The World - why you should visit them? 16 February 2023 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Color makes life better, and travelers may discover the world's most colorful locations while traveling. The world's most vibrant sites may be found in busy metropolises and unspoiled natural settings. International cities greet tourists with a dash of color, creating fantastic picture opportunities and vistas, from unique mural artwork to the brilliant colors of skyscrapers. What attributes make a city beautiful? It relies on a number of variables, including the environment, architectural style, cleanliness, tranquility, and population. Additionally essential to a city's remarkable beauty are the colors. The eight cities with the most color in the world are listed below. 1. Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada: The oldest incorporated city in Canada dates back to 1785 and is located in the province of New Brunswick. Saint John City is well known for its downtown row houses that are painted in vibrant colors. It is one of the city's most well-liked tourist destinations. Jellybean Row refers to the row of colorful homes in Saint John's downtown. According to legend, residents of Saint John's used to paint their homes in vivid hues to maintain their attractiveness even during foggy conditions. Every house on the street is painted a different color, as you can see. Your trip on the city's walking tour will undoubtedly be one you never forget. 2. Chefchaouen, Morocco: Due to its isolation, the Blue City of Morocco has been cut off from the outside world for over a millennium. But why is it that color? Depending on who you ask, there are several explanations for why the Moroccan town of Chefchaouen is blue. Some claim that it is because of Jewish mysticism, while others assert that the blue tones are a naturally occurring mosquito repellant since they are found in the hills where the town was established. Chefchaouen is one of the world's most colorful towns, regardless of why it is blue. 3. Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, South Africa: Bo-Kaap in Cape Town has a vivid past. The Dutch brought many slaves to Cape Town throughout the 16th and 17th centuries from Malaysia, Indonesia, and various African nations. The enslaved were referred to as "Cape Malays." Several homes were constructed in this region in about 1760 and leased to the slaves. Later, the former slaves acquired the homes and painted them in vivid hues to symbolize their joy and liberation. Cape Town's Bo-Kaap neighborhood is situated at the base of Signal Hill and is rich in history and color. This residential neighborhood is well known for its vividly colored homes and winding pathways made of cobblestones. These residences showcase a fusion of Georgian and Dutch architectural designs. 4. Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India: The second-largest city in Rajasthan, India, is Jodhpur, popularly referred to as "The Blue City." The vibrant blue-washed homes in the old town are the source of the city's name. India was decades ahead of Morocco from one blue town to the next, despite the fact that Jodhpur's blue colors had a less than happy history. Electric blue buildings were historically designated for the "higher classes" and were originally painted as a part of the caste system. The custom, however, gradually spread across the town, turning the ruins of the cobalt buildings into a genuine tourist destination as well as a useful remedy for the oppressive heat. 5. Willemstad, Curacao The capital city of Curacao, Willemstad, is renowned for being a city with a rich cultural legacy. Rich in history, both public and private structures exhibit vibrant and often very beautiful architecture. In fact, the city is home to 750 vibrant structures in all. Historic structures may be found throughout Willemstad, many of which are notable for their use of Dutch architectural design. These beautiful, colorful structures, which date to the 17th century, draw hundreds of visitors each year. 6. Burano, Venice, Italy: Burano's multicoloured mansions have an intriguing truth. In the past, Burano's primary source of revenue was fishing. The fisherman had trouble identifying their cottages throughout the winter due to the dense fog. So they made the decision to paint their homes a variety of hues. The coloring custom in Burano is thought to have begun as a result of this occurrence. Today, you can notice that Burano's houses have a specific color scheme. In Burano, there is a clearly laid out procedure for painting homes. Let's say you live in the village and enjoy painting your house. Sending the government a formal request should be your first step. They will notify you which color you are permitted to paint your home. Interesting right? 7. Busan, South Korea The Gamcheon cultural hamlet is the main reason to place Busan at the top of your bucket list for Korea, despite the fact that it nearly often takes a back seat to Seoul. One of the most "Instagrammable" locations on the Korean peninsula, and maybe the whole globe, is a hillside covered in vibrant dwellings that people frequently compare to stacked legos. If this is on your trip wish list, you must visit it. 8. Santorini, Greece: Two colors are likely to spring to mind when you think of the Greek island of Santorini: white, which is the color of many buildings' walls, and blue, which also serves as the color of the island's dazzling Ionian Sea and many of its roofs. The city of Oia's building facades really contain a variety of other hues, but because the blues and whites are so striking, it's simple to get distracted by them. Take your photos on a clear day at dusk, when the prismatic sky sheds its brilliant light over the darkening metropolis, to fully enjoy Oia's beautiful rainbow. These were a handful of the ones we chose, and we're confident they'll make you grin. Make it a point to visit these locations, and prepare to be surrounded by every color of the rainbow. • Ritabhari Chakraborty talks about her adopted school, The Ideal School for the deaf

by Aparajita Jaiswal Ritabhari Chakraborty talks about her adopted school, The Ideal School for the deaf 24 September 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Advertisement The beautiful, smart and accomplished actress, Ritabhari Chakraborty, talks to Editor-in-chief, Aparajita Jaiswal in a freewheel chat about her latest film Fatafati, which is centred around body positivity. The actress excitedly exclaims that the film is in her mother tongue, Bengali. With the shooting wrapped up, the film is due to release in merely a few days, creating much anticipation in the minds of Ritabhari's adoring fans. The film is about a plus sized or rather a double XL model's journey and how she breaks the norms of “fashion” that we believe in; that women should have a certain kind of a body to be in fashion. The film talks about how girls should not measure their happiness and health by the stereotypical body shown in films. Ritabhari excitedly says, "this is the project that I'm currently looking forward to the most and want everybody to also look forward to with me." With an industry that is so unbelievably hard to make a mark in, each artist faces the trouble of understanding and bearing with the process. Ritabhari gives her perspective on the matter. "I think anyone who's starting off in the industry, in the film industry, the first thing you should know is acting. A lot of people think if you look good, if you're pretty, if you have a certain presence, that that's enough to become an actor. Trust me, that's absolutely not true! The first thing you need to know is how to act, second is you need to know that there are going to be days when you have no work and you have to be okay with it when you see your other friends, your colleagues people of your profession who are getting jobs when you're not as much patience is the key. You have to know in advance that there will be days when you just have to be patient and believe in yourself. "Thirdly, you have to carve your own path of whatever success means to you, whatever you are meant to do as an actor because every actor is different. Every personality is different. If you're aspiring to be Katrina Kaif, you cannot be Katrina Kaif because she is her. If you're aspiring to be Alia Bhatt, but you cannot be Alia because she is her. You have to aspire to be something that's original. That's the only way you can be seen and heard by people, because when they already have an Alia Bhatt who is so incredible, why would they want another one?," Ritabhari says correctly. Ritabhari played a woman priest in the film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti, a film that focused on menstruation and how when are not impure. "I think I get personally attached to all my roles. My last super hit film, Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti, where I've played a women priest, broke so many norms as it spoke about menstruation and how women are not impure. The film broke such taboos, giving so many women the platform to become women priests. This is something that will always be very close to my heart, so I think I'm very attached to my character Shabari." Ritabhari talks about the challenges one might face in the industry, one of them being comparing yourself with others, their successes and their journey. "I think when everyone is doing so much that you tend to compare yourself and your journey to other people, and I really feel like that can be a real heartbreaker and a real problem in your way because your journey has to be yours. If you keep comparing yourself, you'll never be happy and you'll never be grateful for the work you are getting. Ritabhari is a riveting book enthusiast. Her inspiration spans from Indian and Loiuse Hay to Shonda Rhimes’ book “The year of yes" to Shonda Rhimes as a producer, writer and Oprah Winfrey but especially her mother. As an actress, she looks up to Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra amongst many more. "Deepika Padukone is such a huge inspiration. Priyanka Chopra, the more you say, you still turn up short. Women in the business are surviving through this patriarchal and hard business. I get inspired by women every single day." Ritabhari Chakraborty adopted the Ideal school for the deaf when she was merely 16. She expresses how it has been a life changing journey as it keeps her grounded. Ritabhari strongly feels her purpose is more than being an actor and she feels proud to be the mother of 84 children. "When I was a kid, I realized that I can technically change the lives of these children and took it up and I'm so glad I did. This is one thing I'll always be proud of. More than how grateful they should be or they are of me, I am more grateful to be their parent, their foster guardian because being their foster guardian means that I get to make changes in the lives of all these kids. I get to see them grow up and become something of their own. And they're so alienated in the society deaf children are as they have the toughest time adjusting to the world and to people, everyone else. They made me one of their own and that makes my heart melts. I celebrate everything with them, all festivals, my birthday, all of it. This is a blessing; God blessed me in the biggest way possible." Ritabhari Chakraborty comments on body positivity and says one need not fret about their body type whether it is healthy or skinny. We should be proud of our bodies as its god given and hereditary as well. As she works for a school for the deaf, she realises just how important it is to have everything functioning just right. It is a miracle that we have bodies that breathe for us and function correctly. Looking at movie stars, magazine covers and celebrities makes us think that that is how we should look. She believes it is important to break that mentality. Additionally, Ritabhari sends her love to all her fans, "Thank you so much for loving me. Thank you so much for being part of my journey and the life I lead, what I do, my achievements, my failures, all of which I put in front of you and you get to see. One of the reasons I do not shy away from anything, whether it be posting about my health conditions or mental health issues on social media and talking about it openly in interviews is because I want you to know I’m a human. I'm flawed just like you and I'm perfect and amazing just like you. So if I can inspire even a small margin of people, women especially, to be themselves, work hard and achieve their dreams, I think that would mean a lot to me." Women in the business are surviving through this patriarchal and hard business. I get inspired by women every single day. by Anadi Gupta Therapy motivation 1 November 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Causes of depression are still being discovered, some people get this disease due to difficult conditions of life, and some without any solid reason. Still no solid physical test is available to detect depression. When you care about someone, it is very difficult to see them struggling with their mental state. And even more so when you know that they can be helped professionally. It can be very difficult to visit someone and encourage them for therapy or professional help. Misconceptions about mental health have intensified stigma in society. Even today, depression and mental illnesses are not taken seriously in our society. It is important for us to understand that this is also a type of disease that can happen to people and they need to be treated. That is why we should always talk with patience and love to people suffering from it, so that they do not feel like a burden. We should assure them that we are with them and we will help them to get out of it. Still a lot of people don’t feel comfortable to talk openly about depression. Many famous people, who are very successful in their area, become victims of depression because people usually have very high expectations from them and they feel under pressure to fulfil them. But some celebrities have came forward and talk about it and encouraged others, which is a very good step for the society. It can be hard to share personal feelings with parents, especially if you haven’t done it in a while. This can be difficult to share when you are not really sure what is going on. Sometimes parents can provide a new angle that helps you understand things. Just talking about it can help you see things from a different perspective. If depression is severe or persists, you may still need to talk to a therapist after having a good conversation with your parents. Tell your mom or dad if you continue to feel depressed. Your mother or father can make an appointment for you and support you while working with a therapist. Telling your parents about depression can be very emotionally difficult for you. You may cry, or your parents may cry. This is completely fine. Depression is a difficult subject, and you are doing the right thing by addressing it now before it gets worse. Chances are, your parents have already noticed that something is wrong. They just don’t know what it is or how to help. By naming the problem, you will help them feel better and learn how to take action. You have to choose a time when neither you nor your parents are distracted. It should be a quiet time when you can talk one-on-one, or with both of them alone. Long car rides, quiet evenings, working together, and long walks are all good subjects. If your parents are busy, ask when is a good time. Say something like “I really have something important to talk to you about. What would be a good time for us to have a private conversation?” Sometimes, parents make the mistake of not taking their children seriously about depression. Opening up about depression can be challenging, but you will definitely feel better if you try to share your feelings. Get the courage to talk to your parents about what depression is, especially when you are feeling particularly low. Talk therapy is not just “talking about your problems” It is also working towards solutions. Some therapy may include homework, such as tracking your moods, writing about your thoughts, or participating in social activities that have been a cause for concern in the past. You may be encouraged to look at things in a different way or learn new ways to react to events or people. Most of today’s therapy is brief and focuses on your current thoughts, feelings and life issues. Focusing on the past can help explain things in your life, but focusing on the present can help you face the present and prepare for the future. You may see your physician or counselor more often when you first start working with them, and later, as you progress toward your goals, you have fewer appointments. It’s just that, Never be afraid in asking for help whenever it is needed. #mentalhealthmatters #depression #Therapy #Anxiety #mentalhealthawareness SEARCH Women Empowerment A mere concept or a real Concern SOCIETY Looking Through The Excellence Of ‘Jaali’ Architecture SOCIETY Why the Gender Pay Gap is Wide and Disturbing SOCIETY Festival of Stones SOCIETY The Pygmalion Effect SOCIETY POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Rini Pathak A Glance In The Kshitij’23: A Euphoric Escapade 26 January 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak Mithibai Kshitij: Epitome Of Diverse Social Cause Empowerment 24 January 2024 SOCIETY By Rini Pathak Breaking Barrier And Redefining Inclusivity Conduct Of Para Events: Shaping Of A Better Future By Mithibai Kshitij 19 January 2024 SOCIETY by Mudita Bagla Divorce - Not A Big Deal 24 January 2023 SOCIETY RELATED POSTS

  • 8 Teenage Girl Fashion Ideas For Your First Date

by Yashi Srivastava 8 Teenage Girl Fashion Ideas For Your First Date 11 February 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Imagine this. You are finally going on your first date, and you have so many outfit ideas hovering inside your brain. From make-up to hair to footwear and your attire, there is so much to do and prepare for, right? But if you worry about your ensemble, when will you revel in the excitement of going on your first date? Well, this is the part where we step in. Even though there is no doubt that you will wear something swoon-worthy on your date, we want you to make (read-create) a fashion statement! To help you with the same, we have curated a list of some spectacular fashion ideas that not only scream style but also whisper class. Check these ideas below and let us know how you like them! 1. Throw in the colors According to many stylists, the best colors to wear on a date are black, blue, red, and white. While we agree with them, we want you to experiment with many yellows, oranges, and greens. For example, how about exhibiting this bright yellow skirt with a floral yet funky slim jacket and casual white top? You can match the same with super-chic sneakers or black heels as well. Extra points for leaving your hair open and carefree with those stylish shades and minimal make-up. If you like this combination, you would love this printed dress that encompasses countless colors that are vibrant in every sense of the world. Pairing this dress with either loose hair or a relaxed fishtail would give you a look with this feminine dress. The look will quadruple your style statement if you wear heeled boots in a shade of brown. You must, however, always choose to wear shoes that you feel comfortable there. You got the idea, right? 2. Keep it simple but sexy Many teen girls don’t appreciate the idea of garnering too much attention on their first date. It is quite understandable since you are only breaking into the dating world. So, it is excellent to keep it soft, supple, and straightforward, but to make a statement of your own; you have to make it all sexy. So, how about this gorgeous combo of a brick-red halter top and linen high-waisted black skirt? It is simple, comfy, and subtle with a touch of sexy, and that’s precisely how you would like it! With this pairing, you can make a loose plait or twist and fold your hair while letting them go wherever they want. To add a pinch of calm, you wear converse with visible socks or classy flats, peep toes, or simple heels to go with it. Here’s another idea for you to bring sexy with your simple! All you have to do is get your hands on a grey or a dull-brown fit and flare dress and fuse it with a lace shrug. You can also accentuate the look by wearing thin-rimmed glasses with elegant earrings, a pretty necklace, or a choker. An elegant anklet won’t hurt when paired with casual chappals or flats. 3. Monotone Aesthetic When nothing makes sense, go mono! In other words, you can never go wrong with a monotone dress, co-ed, or whatever keeps your vibe flowing. For example, check out this gorgeous all-pink bodycon dress coordinated with silver-rimmed black sunglasses. You can choose the shades that go well with your face and leave your hair open, clip them up, or go for a loose bun. Now the footwear could be anything from flats to wedges to heels and even white Nike sneakers to go with it – you will look spectacular in any of those! About the make-up part, we’d tell you to choose dark and smoky eyes with nude lipstick, and you would blow their minds! 4. Class it up with layers! Every young girl knows how classy it is to ensemble your fashion statement in layers and how challenging it is to pull them off on your first date! If you want to do it right, here’s another idea! Our pick is this shoulder tunic blouse blended with a stunning corset belt. Wear khaki trousers or regular jeans for the bottom, and you will be good to go! We believe you can go for sneakers or stompers with this one, but many girls would love to wear elegant flats with flowy trousers or so! With this one, you can add charm bracelets, hoop earrings, a nose pin, or a watch. Minimal make-up with nude lips is undoubtedly the way to go with! Not to forget, a messy or top bun would amp up this look, but we believe it is eventually the style you feel most comfortable in! 5. Black is the color of all seasons Finally, a fashion idea all teenagers will agree on! Black, and it is, by all means, the color of every season in all fashions! So, what would be an ideal black fit for a perfect date night? Let’s start with this easy and comfortable fit that you can quickly put together – a casual black top paired with a long pleated skirt and sleek black belt that adds extra oomph to the entire ensemble. Your whole aura would scream with a new class genre when paired with ankle-length and high-heeled boots - bonus points for carrying this look with pixie-cut, Harry Potter’s dark-rimmed circular glasses, and dark lips. Since we are talking about the color of all seasons, it would be only fair to add ideas to your wardrobe. So, let’s go for a look that would work breathtakingly well on a winter night. You must get a body-hugging top and wear it with black tights or skinny-fit jeans with knee-length black boots. The charm of this outfit would be an Italian wool-mix jacket, and you would be good to go! We recommend red lipstick to go with the look since it will make you glow under the moonlit night. How about throwing a woolen scarf around your neck as well? The choice is yours, by all means! 6. Elegance goes a long way, even as a teenager! Whether you are 18 or 30, elegance will never leave the building! So, we decided to suggest some simple yet impressive ways to carry your grace where ever you go – especially if it’s the first date of your life! Here is an example of the same. Dirty blue full-sleeved lace top tucked in a dark blue maxi skirt. Let’s not forget the white-rimmed tinted sunglasses that add adventure to the entire fit! Trust us; you won’t go wrong with this one. Go ahead and add your style to your hair or choose between free-flowing locks or a braided bun and rock the whole look with a stiletto in your choice of color. When talking about elegance, we certainly cannot leave this look behind. This gorgeous black fit crop top and cut out mustard skirt is thus far, our favorite look for teenage girls going out on their first date. Don’t forget to amp the look up with those breathtaking dangler earrings and stilettos. Leave your hair open and put on pastel shades of shadow with heavy mascara and liner. You can leave the lips nude or a shade of pink and you would be good to go! 7. Cute girl casuals As a teenager, perhaps the most comfortable fashion statement would be to wear a pair of jeans with a white t-shirt and style your hair in a ponytail, and that’s it. Well, you are right, and it’s precisely what we expect you to do! Here’s the look for you! You can also pair up a little white dress with a leather jacket and black boots with no make-up and no accessory look. Trust us, and this won’t be your only date with them. Check out the look below. 8. Funky girl forever No matter the age, you must always channel the inner funky girl whenever the situation demands! And so, if you want to dress up with funk and blue and all that jazz on your first date, we’d say go ahead with it and make them wonder if they deserve you! For the funky girl fashion, here’s how we would dress you! The cut-sleeved faux fur gilet highlights this entire look but looks better when fused with a cream-colored - chanderi silk skirt. Let’s not take our eyes off the stunning leather boots that bring a suaveness to the entire look. Since you are a teenager, we would also recommend a no-make-up look for this look, but surely you can add a glittery eye shadow and heavy mascara on the eyes with this. Conclusion When it comes to style, there is no right way. It is always about the fashion you are comfortable carrying with confidence, class, and elegance. So, don’t worry if you think you cannot pull off particular looks like other girls – you are beautiful in your way. So, keep looking for your perfect look might be around the corner! Fashion for teenage girls shouldn't be just about clothes and style but also confidence, class, and smile. Blob - So, you are excited about your first date but have no idea what to wear on a particular day? • 70’s Playlist

by Akash Khatri 70’s Playlist 1 October 2020 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Without any professional training giving rise to many more new models and genres, the great music artists marked 1970 as an epoch from where music took place in the world of art and people’s heart. The most acknowledged and grand music of 70s gave us innumerable songs that can pacify one’s mood even today. Their vibe can make one jovial even after listening to them for 20 times. They used to write, play, produce and compose their own music originally and didn’t ever need to sequence them. The music then, was played on popular radio channels and the nostalgia is seen till date. Some people still have a collection of records and cassettes which they play whenever they feel like reliving past days or refreshing memories of their loved ones. Some songs are not only just soothing to ears, but also has certain stories attached with them. There were many musicians and singers who tried to exhibit social issues through their songs, like freedom, protection for women and children, violence and also about the wars and riots taking place. So people remember songs that depicts such junctures and sundry others. For instance, “Fight The Power” by The Isley Brothers. It displayed a distrust in authority and had an undeniable intensity. People used to get hopes and strength to face the air by just giving ears to some beautifully written songs. Such thoughtful they were. Many artists used to emerge everyday at that time to outshine their music and make it to the top. They made groups and those turned out to become bands. It was a pretty fast moving field. They initially had to focus on everything including their visual concepts, entertaining live performances, videography and even fashion. Talking about fashion, the industry of fashion had been developing and undergoing too many changes. Artists also had to modify their clothing styles from bright stage outfits to the modern ones. Eventually music world started getting connected to the fashion world. Gradually, the music industries influenced electronic music and walking into the digital era adoption of electronic drums and drum machines also began. Disco, new wave, and synth pop started emerging and with time, computer technology also touched heights of development. It improved mixing, editing, playback music and sound effects for more systematic production of music. Meanwhile compact cassette recorders and turntables became basic items among the listeners and fans. The decade is also contemplated to be the growing point for visual art. When the new technologies started to fill out, music video industry also heightened. Tape recorders became the main source of recording procedure and recorded multiple tracks at the same time. Cassettes turned out to be the most popular format and releases were being issued in both cassettes and vinyls. The music of 70s is popular for all the age groups as it never gets old. It just gets renewed with each and every passing day. Today, many people are unaware of numerous genres like funk, soul, reggae, glam rock, hard rock, heavy metal and more. Many of the best rock recordings of all time are released during this decade. Hip hop also extended but not as rapidly as rock and disco did. While Bohemian Rhapsody can give chills even today, Stayin’ Alive can melt one’s heart. The Beatles anointed the first half of 1970 with it’s albums, and The Rolling Stones still makes people go rock and roll. When Pink Floyd was breaking records, Paul McCartney and Wings amazed people. It also came with some tragic losses of Jimi Hendrix, Billy Stewart, Elvis Presley and many other legends but their work stayed within everyone’s soul. 1970’s music displayed many movements and styles that were thoroughly unique to each other and were enjoyable in every manner. It will stay in playlist of some, forever. #playlists #musicians #society #facts #music #preciousold #soothing #1970s #bands #musicgenres #instruments SEARCH Countdown To History: Omega Unveils Paris 2024 Olympics Countdown Clock And Special Edition Timepiece LIFESTYLE Juggling Law And Fashion: The Inspirational Journey Of Riddhi Nahata, A Multifaceted Influencer LIFESTYLE Join Shruti Yogi On Her Enchanting Journey From Kumkum Bhagya To Wanderlust Saga LIFESTYLE Personal Growth And Relatability: Ishita Khanna's Key To Influencer Success LIFESTYLE 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty LIFESTYLE POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma Unveiling the Myth: Does Pretty Privilege Truly Exist 17 April 2024 LIFESTYLE By Anushka Sharma How Do Some People Not Get Acne No Matter What 15 April 2024 LIFESTYLE By Anushka Sharma Kate Middleton’s Story Has Only Gotten Worse With Time 18 March 2024 LIFESTYLE By Rini Pathak The Skill Of Ageing Gracefully: Secrets From The Land Of Longevity 17 March 2024 LIFESTYLE RELATED POSTS Advertisement

By Anushka Sharma Lakshadweep Is A Heaven In Disguise And Here Is Why 3 April 2024 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Hey there, island explorers! Ever heard of Lakshadweep? It's like a hidden treasure chest in the Indian Ocean, full of amazing surprises! Picture this: turquoise waters, colorful coral reefs, and sandy beaches that feel like fluffy pillows for your feet. Lakshadweep is not just one island, but a whole bunch of them – 36 to be exact! Each one has its own special vibe, like having a different flavor of ice cream every day. So, what makes Lakshadweep so special? Let's start with the beaches. Oh, the beaches! With their soft, white sand and crystal-clear waters, they're like something out of a postcard. • International Men’s Day

by Akash Khatri International Men’s Day 1 December 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Every year on 19 November international men’s day is observed like the women’s Day on 8th march. The only difference is that many people don’t even know this day exists. And questions like ‘In a man’s world why is a MEN’S DAY needed?’ are often asked. The idea of a Men’s Day was first written down by American Journalist, John Harris in 1968. He wrote about how we have a day for women, but not one for men. In 1993 Thomas Oaster, the director of the Missouri centre of men’s studies, invited organisations to host small events for men in the USA, Australia and Malta. This event was held in February for 2 years but then after the second year, due to the poor attendance, he ceased organising an event. Malta still continued to hold an event in February. In 1999, this day was revived by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh. He realised that even though there was a day for fathers, there was no day celebrated for men who aren’t fathers or who areyoung boys and teenagers. He started celebrating this on 19 November; the day of his father’s birthday and the day a local soccer team had United his country with their endeavours to qualify for the world cup. The International Men’s Day aims to promote positive aspects of male identity based on the premise that men might respond more constructively and lead to positive role models that tend to negative gender stereotyping. The day does not intend to compete with the International Women’s Day, but to highlight the importance of men’s physical and mental health and positive masculinity. It is also an opportunity to recognise men who don’t fall into traditional manifestations of masculinity and also gay, bisexual and transgender masculine non-binary people. Malta had still been celebrating Men’s Day in February; but in 2009, they started celebrating the day in November Moreover the objectives are focusing on men’s and boys’ mental health, highlighting positive male roles. Men may also express the discrimination against them at home, workplaces, public places or in general. It is not uncommon that so many men feel pressured to put up a strong and tough front, and not to show any emotions. Because, “men are not emotional”; “men don’t cry.” Just like women, men face discrimination too. The reason we don’t hear so much about men being discriminated against is that most men don’t speak up against it. It can be very serious in some cases. But men are very less likely to discuss their experiences. And most men don’t have an example of someone speaking up; so they don’t know if they can call it discrimination; and even if they can, to speak up or not. The major problem is that men, from a very young age, since they are small boys, are told to “man up” and to deal with their problems “like a man.” Men face discrimination when they don’t fit into stereotypes about their gender. Men who are sensitive, show emotions, or do not act so-called “masculine,” are often criticised, taunted, commented on and asked to behave more “like a man.” While we work to protect women, let’s acknowledge that sexual harassment of men is not a joke either. There are increasing instances of men being on the receiving end — from being a target of comments heavy with sexual innuendo to being stalked — men are supposed to be ‘men’, they are to take all of this in the spirit intended, and not feel uncomfortable and/or complain. The Six Pillars of Men’s Day are: To focus on men’s and boys’ mental and physical health. Enhancing Gender Relations. Promoting Gender Equality and well being. Focusing on discrimination against men. Promoting positive men role models. Helping in creating a safer and better world People fail to understand that men, just like women, are diverse, too. I’m pretty sure when we hear the word MAN, a lot of us imagine a masculine, not too expressive, strongly built… man. And when some guy shares his emotions, is more affectionate and delicate- he is judged? This is what builds up to “toxic masculinity.” And that’s what leads to an unspoken pressure in a boy’s mind; right from a very young age, forcing him to make himself fit into THAT definition of what a man is.
