  • The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion

The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion by Priti Sharma The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion 11 December 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement All of us are familiar with Kanye West's outrageous outbursts. Like when he climbed the stage and took Taylor Swift's microphone, or when he declared his intention to run for president in 2020. Although Kanye West has made several odd statements, he has had the greatest impact on modern fashion because of his distinct aesthetic from other rappers' aesthetics, his real effect on sneaker culture, and how rappers define masculinity as a whole. Rapper Kanye West stood out among others for his sense of style. Kanye used thinner clothing, whereas the majority of rappers before him had a more "thug"-like aesthetic. With the elegance of a bull in a Givenchy shop, Kanye West challenged the hip-hop fashion establishment. The self-described "slave to fashion" stood apart from his contemporaries when he first entered the rap industry in 2002. The Chicago MC deviated from the typical look of rappers, who were often dressed in tall tees, enormous sports jerseys, and baggy pants. Instead, he wore Ralph Lauren polo bears and backpacks. Although Kanye is not the first rapper to defy fashion conventions or wear pink, the Louis Vuitton Don paved a previously unheard-of road into the realm of high-end design. The multi-hyphenate has transformed into a respectable fashion hero thanks to stunts like his listening party/fashion show held at Madison Square Garden and connections with industry figures like Riccardo Tisci, Anna Wintour, and Phoebe Philo. However, this visionary's creativity goes beyond only introducing thinner fits to hip-hop. Since he persuaded youngsters to wear those godawful shutter sunglasses and ask their parents to purchase them Air Yeezys, Kanye's influence on the fashion world and the youth has been clear. With the ballerina-filled ingenuity of Runaway, he later exposed street youngsters to Phillip Lim on his own. Rap fans saw The Throne debut various Givenchy collaborations, including leather kilts and album artwork, demonstrating how individualism and creative expression triumph over outdated gender conventions. At Coachella, Kanye purposefully disregarded gender stereotypes by donning a women's Celine top, redefining masculinity in hip-hop. Of course, haters frequently question the rapper's sexuality because of the widespread homophobia in the genre. However, Kanye has never let criticism get to him. He is doing more than merely dispelling the erroneous link between sexual desire and skirts by dressing in gender-neutral attire. A$AP Rocky, Young Thug, and Jaden Smith are just a few of the expressive, progressive young musicians he is giving the world. Thugga has no qualms about saying that "90 percent of my clothing are women's," and Jaden celebrates gender fluidity in his most recent Louis Vuitton advertisements, thanks in part to Yeezy's creation of safe places for males to dress however the hell they want. Even rappers A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar have acknowledged The Life of Pablo MC as having a significant influence on their sharply tailored clothing. Not to add, it's impossible to go five blocks in downtown NYC without seeing ten Yeezy impersonators. Even if some people don't like Kanye's so-called rants, he has a point when he says, "I am so credible, so important, and so relevant that I will alter things." And he has that. Regardless of how often his Yeezy designs are criticized, Kanye is a visionary with the ability to alter how people dress. Beyond the mic, he is amazing. He has become one of the most important people in the world of fashion because of his constant dominance in the fashion world. And, buddy, the youngsters are making notes. #KanyeWest #HipHop #Fashion #Rappers #Yeezy #LouisVuitton #Givenchy SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement

  • The Reinvention Of Grace: Shanthi Priya’s Bold New Chapter

The Reinvention Of Grace: Shanthi Priya’s Bold New Chapter By Shriniwas Kodape The Reinvention Of Grace: Shanthi Priya’s Bold New Chapter 22 May 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement She doesn’t enter the room. She arrives . There is no roar, no flashbulb parade, no PR blitz announcing the return of Shanthi Priya to cinema’s restless stage. Just presence. The presence is akin to a monsoon cloud hovering low over a sun-scorched city—heavy, charged, and inevitable. Once upon a different kind of India, Shanthi Priya graced our screens with the luminous, otherworldly beauty of someone not trying to perform but simply to be . The mythology of Shakuntala . The poetry of movement. Her gaze didn’t seek attention—it commanded it. She belonged to an era that didn’t try to market authenticity because it didn’t need to. It was lived. And then, as quietly as she emerged, she receded from the arc lights. Not out of retreat, but necessity. Life, in all its unedited chaos, called for her to anchor elsewhere, for a while. But don’t call this a comeback. Call it a reclamation . Shanthi Priya didn’t return to chase relevance. She returned to redefine it. In her latest work, Bad Girl , she sheds the ornamental roles of yesteryear and slips into something far more dangerous: truth. Meenakshi, her character, isn’t designed to be likable. She is meant to be seen —complicated, bruised, radiant. “I no longer ask for space,” she tells us during our interview. “I take it. And I hold it.” The line cuts through the air like a match in a dark room. It’s tempting to romanticize her journey—tragedy, sacrifice, solitude—but Shanthi Priya doesn’t indulge in nostalgia or grief. She’s not a phoenix rising from ash. She’s the fire that never really went out. “For years, I was told to shrink myself—to play it safe, to be graceful but not gritty. I did that. Now, I want to see what happens when I don’t,” she says, with the calm fury of a woman who has mastered the art of choosing silence and the moment to break it. Her face—mature, magnificent—tells its own story . It speaks of survival, but more importantly, of sovereignty. She does not apologize for her age. She wears it like a medal. “They keep asking me why now. I say, why not now? My strength is sharper. My instincts are tuned. My femininity—unapologetic.” In a landscape still addicted to youth and its gloss, Shanthi Priya offers something far more intoxicating: depth . The kind that only decades of living, loving, and losing can give you. The kind that makes audiences pause—not to admire, but to reflect . And while the world tries to categorize her re-entry—heroine, veteran, icon—she rejects all the easy labels. She is not here to repeat herself. She is here to evolve, to disrupt, to create a new space for women in cinema: one that is not limited by time nor confined by expectation. When asked what drives her now, her answer is swift: “I want my story to remind women that our rhythm is our own. We are not late. We are not early. We are exactly where we need to be.” In the end, there is no neat narrative. No perfect arc. Just a woman who knows her power and has chosen to step into it—delicately, fiercely, fully. Shanthi Priya didn’t come back. She reclaimed her name —and this time, she’s writing it in fire.Raw. Real. Relentless. • The Revolutionary Fashion Bag Of 2024: Coperni Edition

The Revolutionary Fashion Bag Of 2024: Coperni Edition By Rini Pathak The Revolutionary Fashion Bag Of 2024: Coperni Edition 7 March 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Success in the ever-evolving world of fashion, where trends change with the seasons, depends on one’s ability to stay current and creative. Coperni is one such brand that continuously pushes the limits of innovation and technology. Be it the year of 2023, when the designers of Coperni, Sebastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant showcased unique blend of modern styles with electronic gadgets, the Human Ai Pin being attached to lapels or the spraying of dress on the incredible Bella Hadid or even the bringing of robot dogs on the catwalk, Coperni have always been known for creating a stir at the Paris Fashion Week. This brand was founded in the year 2013 and have continued to be a revolutionary brand in the world of fashion. The latest and the most peculiar fashion accessory that has been launched by Coperni has been able to become the current talk of the town. I am talking here about the Air Swipe bag, created in collaboration with NASA. This bag is the brand’s newest take on its iconic Swipe Bag silhouette. It weighs just 33 grams overall and is constructed from the lightest solid substance in the world—99% air and 1% glass. The team was seen clarifying in an Instagram post published by the brand which stated, “nanomaterial has been used by NASA to capture stardust: because it can withstand extreme heat (1200o Celsius) and a pressure of 4000 times its weight. This Air Swipe bag is the biggest ever object made if this space technology nanomaterial.” The post goes on to say that silica aerogel, a nanomaterial, is the “glass of the future” and that despite being “very delicate,” the bag is actually “non-fragile.” Professor Ioannis Michaloudis created the bag, which measures 27 by 16 by 6 cm. NASA’s silica aerogel nanomaterial was first created and studied in the context of fine art by Dr. Ioniss Muchaloudis, a Greek academic, visual artist, and researcher who is renowned throughout the world as one of the pioneers in the fields of science and art. Coperni continues to be dedicated to designing the future of the fashion industry with this statement. With this invention Coperni has been able to prove that sky is actually the limits and maybe in the future it may even invent something which might showcase that even sky is not the limit. Now the question here, my beautiful readers is that is this bag the next most sustainable, fashionable and desirable thing in the fashion industry? Well, that only time shall tell which we all are looking forward to. • Bullying

SOCIETY by Akash Khatri Bullying 1 December 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Have you, even in the slightest way, ever bullied or been bullied? I think most of us have, and that’s an unfortunate thing on both the sides. People of all ages are bullied, or bully someone, from a very young age to an old age, too; and at every possible place. May it be at the playground, or schools and colleges or public places, and so on. Not only peers, friends, fellow mates or strangers; sometimes even family members and relatives are responsible for bullying. Even unnoticed things such as some rude comment, or a taunt can hurt someone deeply; and this promotes bullying. Types of bullying: Physical bullying: When bullies try to hurt or torture someone physically, or even touch them without their consent. Verbal bullying: It is when a person taunts or teases the other person. Psychological bullying: When a person or group of people gossip about another person or exclude them from being part of the group, can be termed as psychological bullying. Cyber bullying: When bullies insult, hurt, spread rumours about or harass someone on social media. They make embarrassing and degrading (sometimes very inappropriate) comments, even on public forums, where others can see them; and hurt the person. Bullies also share the person’s personal information, pictures or videos to spoil someone’s public image. Sometimes, we say or do things that we think are just for fun; but it might be affecting the other person. And if they ask you to stop, do not continue doing it. And if you notice someone bullying or being bullied, call it out. Bullies haven’t always been the same. Some things in their life made them do it once or maybe twice; but they resorted to it. Sometimes, the ones who are bullied turn into bullies. Calling out will bring the bullies forward and preventing bullying will not only save people from being bullied, but can also help prevent more people turning into bullies. • Single parenthood and family

SOCIETY by Akash Khatri Single parenthood and family 1 December 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Slowly generalising concept yet feels like a terror to me . I’m not writing it hypothetically rather have seen this. Families emerged from single Parenthood on a positive aspect know struggle and manage to include themselves in the hardy layer of the society whereas on a negative aspect they can just be as jeopardized as possible. Single parenthood if not self chosen could be a disaster for the parent itself ,juggling between kids, work, household and what not as if you’ve to do single handed plank when your core isn’t used to it. However, I fear for self chosen single parenting because the shrinkage from joint families to single parent families are somewhere responsible in the upbringing and personality development of a child as well. How are they supposed to learn actions oriented moral ethics and values if they are not getting various people to observe in their house. In a nutshell, the pursuit of single parenthood must be a big no ,no matter how much it’s covered or layered with positive attributes, it’s hard for both the child and the parent and we as humans don’t opt for harder things by nature, do we ? #family #singleparent #singleparenthood #society SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? • Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails

by Aishwarya Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails 2 November 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement It's that time of the year again! With Christmas just over our heads, you might think of the cocktail options to serve your guest. No Christmas party is complete without the classic cocktails. So, here are some of the classic yet yummy cocktails, you can try this Christmas. We also have some non-alcoholic options for the non-drinkers! Eggnog: It is a creamy, sweet, and classic addition to your cocktails recipes, and can be consumed with or without alcohol. It originates from medieval Britain’s “posset”, a milky drink used to toast. The American colonies adopted this drink in the 1700s, using rum as the alcoholic base. Since milk and egg were available widely, it was an affordable drink option to go with. Well, why does it have this weird name? It is said to have derived from the word “noggin”, which was a wooden cup, and “grog”, a strong beer. Hot Buttered Rum: It is tracked back to Europe in the 1600s when sailors consumed hot and spicy drinks to fight off the cold weather. Then England captured Jamaica in 1655 when rum became a much-preferred option than brandy. The Hot Buttered Rum consists of alcohol, sugar or honey, boiling water, spices, and a thick layer of butter. Sounds weird, but you should give it a try for sure! Candy Cane Martini: This drink is a mix of all the best flavours and colours that are appropriate for the season. Candy Cane Martini is a mix of vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, and peppermint schnapps topped with a candy cane. It looks and tastes, just like the Christmas season. The origin of the Candy Cane Martini is still unknown, but the classic martini is said to have originated during the Gold Rush, when a bartender named Martinez ran out of champagne and hence mixed what he had, in short, our today’s cocktail was born that day. Tom & Jerry: A drink that is just as fun and weird as the cartoon. Tom & Jerry is a creamy drink similar to Eggnog but is served warm. It is believed to have been created by British sports journalist Pierce Egan and has become a winter staple today. It is just warm milk, but with steroids. Kidding, it is warm milk mixed with shots of brandy and rum. Even today many bars mix up batches of warm milk for the chilly winter night. Non-alcoholic Thanksgiving Punch: Even though the name suggests Thanksgiving, drinks are best served when you like having one. So, the Thanksgiving punch is great for Christmas too, as it has notes of cinnamon and orange that give the perfect cosiness for the winter. It consists of apple cider, sparkling blood orange juice, and sparkling grape juice with a dash of fresh orange and cranberry. A splash of rum, reposado tequila, or Anejo tequila is all you need, to transform this mocktail into a cocktail. Festivals are the season to celebrate, and the celebration gets even better with a tasty drink. Do try these cocktails this Christmas, and enjoy sipping on life forever. • Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism

Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism by Naisargi Devdher Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism 2 September 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Even before understanding what fame and glamour is, a child understood what magic is! It was 26 years ago, that a 6 year old Suhani saw a ‘magic show’ and dreamt of becoming a magician. This marks her 25th year performing mentalism, as she still carries the charm and innocence that 7 year old Suhani did. Talking of it, there is a lot of glamour, a factor of ‘wow’, self-love and over confidence associated with the career transition. To which, she elaborately explains, “As a child, I kept talking of magic and fortunately, my parents honestly were extremely considerate about it. You know, my father spent 6 months looking for a tutor and basically putting across magic as my educational development, because somewhere my inclination towards magic was visible. And that was the age when I didn’t even understand what glamour or for a fact even fame is! So when my first show was grandly put about, the then Chief Minister attended it. That was exactly how my career began. So for me on a personal level, fame has been a part of my career, so has glamour, it existed then, it persists now, so never does overconfidence seem to be very much an issue to say.” Putting it simply, she brought about the point of growing up with talent. Queerly, to think of, does a child always begin with imagining that she would be a part of a mega industry rather than just performing for herself? That anticipation of where she’s being lead to marks a crazy confusion in the life of an artist. “To be completely honest, yes, I did think that the talent is leading me to some place grand. I could foresee my career with magic, art and what not around. However, I truly did never expect this transition, you know! I did never know I would be assimilated with a streaming, or filming culture. That for me has not just given me a new hypo graph to live up to but also, something I truly wanted to do. Having youthful energy, I wrote books over mentalism and magic, I had art shows to perform but none of it made me as satisfied as being a part of this industry makes me. That is the exact meaning for transition and unknowingly yet beautiful, I get pushed and mingled in the industry.” When the transition of career happens to be natural, there are a lot of changes one needs to adapt to. There was a demand for the talent I held, but it was never a career that I would want to perform. Thus till the pandemic hit, I really didn’t think of it. However, when the pandemic hit, the work stopped, I was barred from home and that was exactly when I began with YouTube streaming and making videos. So the transition was never sudden, it just happened slowly. I had to adapt, accept and identify that I was away from the stage, I had screens to connect with people to, and performing live had a very different sense. That adaption was actually challenging because it brought me to a stage where I had to recognise my career scope and recognize what exactly was to be done. You know, I didn’t go to school, I didn’t go to college, I was just working all the while, and now I was here where I had to sit and just do nothing. That was more challenging for me. So I remember, starting off with an online show, ‘Magic being performed online’, that somewhat pulled me through the pandemic dilemma. While streaming on YouTube was the exact game changer I was looking for because looking back, I was having fun doing it. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a novel spectrum of my career!” All this while, Suhani mentioned the Pandemic to be a revolution in all senses However, through all of this happening, there is a high doubt of where art forms are leading to when it comes to India, because there's a lot to do with glamour here as well. “A bit contrary to what you said, India is filled with art forms with diverse roots. It’s not even similar, there is a difference in totality. And truly, in my understanding, we are always attracted to glamour. You see a beautiful rose, its glamour, desire of living in a house I glamour, and that will always be appreciated but here it’s more about how you understand art to be. Because art is also glamorous, art also is beautiful and that goes hand in hand. The window to the world during the pandemic was their phones. People were seeing direction, cinematography and all of it came from art. And whatever the screens passed on to people was art. People eventually started valuing art, realising that when nothing works, and its art that they can rely on.” Mentioning the importance of art and growing up with it, there is a lot of superstitious association with magic. Dealing with which stands out from any coaching. “Since childhood, I was looked at as a ‘DEVI’, saying I can heal everything possible. Earlier, people confused me with a musician and there I had to sort out the exact meaning of a magician, after which, a lot of people came to me asking me to heal their illnesses or asking me solve their problems. This was exactly what shifted me away from any sort of superstitious association since childhood. I give ted talks speaking against superstitions. Hence I always say, ‘I CANNOT READ MINDS, I CAN CREATE AN ILLUSION OF READING MIND’.” Just adding illusions cannot definitely define it as magic. However, according to Suhani, Guzaarish is a movie that utilises pieces of magical elements. That’s exactly where she leaves you with… Wonder how to deal with magic, because every potential of yours is magic if you know how to use it!!
