A Brief History on Alexander McQueen by Akash Khatri A Brief History on Alexander McQueen 1 January 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement If you are fond of premium fashion labels and well aware of the high-level fashion brands then you must be well acquainted with the Alexander McQueen label. The first genuine curiosity for the ones who are not familiar with this name would be who is Alexander McQueen? Alexander McQueen was a famous British fashion designer who brought a revolution in the fashion industry with his rebellious fashion innovations back in the 1980s. He got himself in the fashion industry quite early in his life but soon his flamboyant and out-of-the-box and bold fashion styles brought him under the spotlight. McQueen’s early runway collections developed his reputation for controversy and shock tactics with trousers aptly named “bumsters” and a collection titled “Highland Rape”. These collections had also made people from the Brit fashion industry cringe, but eventually, his talent prevailed, and he became known for his dramatic and extraordinary fashion shows and cat-walks which were sheer head-turners for everyone. He was also one of the first fashion designers who worked with Indian models in London. Some of McQueen’s accomplishments included being one of the youngest designers to achieve the title “British Designer of the Year”, which he won four times between 1996 and 2003 also he was into a partnership deal with the Gucci group and his own label which he founded in the year 1992. By the end of the year 2007, McQueen had his own fashion house established in the cities of London, New York, Los Angeles, Milan, and Las Vegas. Coming to his personal life, he was gay and quite vocal about his sexuality and he never hid anything from the world. But in his later life, he became addicted to drugs and even was depressed. In February 2010 he hanged himself in his home in London and left the entire world in shock and remorse. His psychologists said that he was into depression for three years consecutively and as an escapade, he was into heavy drugs. At the time of Alexander McQueen’s death, he had an eighty percent finished Autumn/Winter collection. 16 pieces of this collection were presented during Paris Fashion Week on 8 March 2010 as a tribute to this great fashion designer. - Re-Discover The Charm Of Old-School Travel With A Total Digital Detox!
by Yashi Srivastava by Yashi Srivastava Re-Discover The Charm Of Old-School Travel With A Total Digital Detox! 21 February 2023 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement What is that one thing we can’t go a day without? No prizes for guessing; it’s the internet! We can’t get enough of this world of the digital vortex. Thus, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that we have become captive of internet technology to the point where we need a digital detox from time to time or let it take the better of us. Let’s accept that traditional ways of paying bills, playing games (we mean outdoors), calling people, clicking photographs, etc., are so old school! While we cannot go back to standing in lines for hours to pay the bills, we can certainly apply some old-school charm to our travels. Back in the day, travelers and explorers only had winds or maps to guide them to a new destination – and they hardly ever faltered! So, we at L’utopia, decided to take you back to the good days when nobody knew the word digital and yet traveled far and around the globe! The article will help you understand why a digital travel detox is an absolute necessity in the current world and how to switch to the old-world travel patterns so that the next time you go on a trip, you can re-discover the charm and beauty; of old-school travel! Why Go for a digital detox? When was the last time you unplugged from your cell phone/laptop/social media for 24 hours? If your answer is, ‘I don’t know,’ you, my friend, need a digital detox. Every time we get out of control with the consumption of complex carbohydrates and gain a few extra pounds, we detoxify our bodies. In the same way, we can rely on the old-school ways to give our eyes some rest and break from the digital hullaballoo to get our minds back in their original shape. We believe that the best way to do the same is while wandering in the hills or enjoying a traditional meal with our family in a hotel away from social media and its charm - that’s when you enjoy your freedom! A vacation or a trip to your favorite destination without the stress of keeping up with social media or receiving urgent calls will make your trip worthwhile when you avoid tapping on your phone’s screen for no reason. It saves your time and energy. Ah! You’ve no idea how amazing this feeling is, and the result is extraordinary - unfiltered freedom! How to Begin with the digital detox? You can always start with limiting your use of social media – start with an hour or so and bring it down to 20 minutes a day or however it deems fit. Cut down the time of using social media with each passing day. Before setting off for your retreat, ensure you have sent all the important emails and messages and informed your friends and colleagues about the same. Also, you can provide a contact number of the hotel you’ll be staying in so that you can be contacted in case there’s an urgency. Next, you can start wearing a watch on your way out so that you break the habit of looking at your phone. Before leaving for the airport or station: Book your hotel. Get your reservations. Write down the hotel’s address. Ask the staff how to reach the hotel from the airport/station. Finally, make your travel itinerary and jot down the necessary details about the place you’re visiting so that it becomes easy for you to enjoy your time off without stressing over issues regarding where to go and how to reach there, etc. Even your hotel staff can help you with places to visit during your stay but be sure that the information you have collected is correct. How to switch from digital/online tools to old school club? Now that you’re ready to take your digital detox vacation, here are a few non-digital tools that can replace the digital ones and turn you to transform you into a total traditional traveler! Use printed maps instead of GPS- Remember that GPS will be gone when you say goodbye to your smartphone and laptops. So, try and get yourself a street map to figure out the directions to reach your hotel + other places you want to visit. It isn’t that a big task to find a map. However, trying to learn the direction on the printed maps sure is. So, if the map doesn’t work well for you, it’s better to ask for directions from locals. Payphone instead of cell phone (or borrow a phone) - As fun as it sounds, finding a working payphone in today’s world can be hectic. If you’re going for full detox, better borrow a phone to make a call. If you want to go off-grid, you’ll have to face a little uneasiness on your way, but it will add to your great memories, and trust us when we tell you that it will all be completely worth it! Browse the wilderness instead of the internet - Keep your mind off of sending a text, making a call, updating your status, or anything that involves using your phone or laptop and taking in the fresh air of the wilderness! Pay your attention to exploring a new area and absorb the beauty of lush green forests brimming with tropical trees, rambling waterfalls, infinite wild, usual bazaar scenes, delicious food, and rich culture. Send postcards to your loved ones - We agreed on no cell phones while on the trip, but if you miss your friends and family, send them some beautiful postcards of the city/place you’re vacationing. Just go to the nearby Post Office, get it stamped, and send it. Let travel agents take care of your business - Free yourself from the stress of booking tickets, hotels, getting reservations, etc., and contact a travel agent to do that job for you. Technology has made us self-sufficient to get our bookings done, but since you’re going off the grid, it is advisable to rely on a good travel agent. Take a lot of books with you - Purposelessly tapping your phone screen is a great time-killer. So, when you don’t have it, you would understand that you need to direct your attention toward something else. It is thus, suggested to bring lots of books/magazines to read while you’re on a total digital blackout. If you like e-books, well, you must re-acquaint yourself with that sweet old smell of printed books, and if you are a reader, you might not want to switch back to e-reading again! Try it! Jot down important contacts - Whatever you do, DO NOT forget to write down a few important contact numbers before leaving your home. You’re visiting a new place and plan to stay in a new environment for quite a while. So, you must keep these numbers with you all the time - it’s even better if you memorize them! Also, don’t forget to include the number of the hotel you’ll be staying in. So, keep that cell phone away, close the lid of your laptop, put that camera down and unplug yourself from the digital world! Now, pack your bags and leave for your next travel destination as an authentic explorer, and soon you’ll find a connection far better than the one you share with the internet! You can never see enough of the world with a smartphone that has a working internet connection. So, the next time you visit a new place, remember to keep it away and soak in the present moment. Blob - The beauty of old-world travel cannot be compared to the digital tours and trips. The charm and beauty of using a map to reach your destination brings tremendous joy to the explorer or wanderer - the same cannot be said in the case of a digital vagabond since there is no actual work done on their part to find that cafe, or that hill, or beach and so on. Maybe, it is time to ditch your digital tools and go on your next trip in the good old-fashioned way, and we will show you how! #DigitalDetoxTravel #TravellerWithoutPhone #DigitalDetox #TravelIsLife #NoPhoneTravel #OldSchoolTravel SEARCH The Fashion Capitals Of Asia: Exploring Style Beyond Borders TRAVEL Unveiling Delights Of Hotel Palazzo Versace Gem Of Dubai TRAVEL 7 Abandoned Cities In India And Abroad That Are Too Beautiful To Be Forgotten TRAVEL airBaltic Makes Global Debut On World’s Safest Airlines List TRAVEL Revolutionizing Air Travel: Qatar Airways Introduces AI-Powered Booking With Sama TRAVEL POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Peninsula Bangkok: Grace Beside The Chao Phraya 4 October 2025 TRAVEL By Shriniwas Kodape 64 Floors Up: Lebua At State Tower Perspective 4 October 2025 TRAVEL By Shriniwas Kodape Four Seasons Bangkok: Where The River Holds Its Breath 17 September 2025 TRAVEL By Shriniwas Kodape Neon, Smoke, And Chili Fire: A Night In Bangkok’s Chinatown 2 September 2025 TRAVEL RELATED POSTS Advertisement
- How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe
How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe by Priti Sharma How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe 7 November 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Despite having a wardrobe full of clothing, do you ever tell yourself, "I have nothing to wear." I know firsthand how irritating it can be to have an overflowing wardrobe full of clothes we may not particularly enjoy wearing. Can you genuinely say that you wear every piece of clothing in your closet? If the answer is no, keep reading to learn how to begin effectively cleaning your closet and creating a wardrobe that you will want to wear every day. But first, what is a capsule wardrobe anyway? A capsule wardrobe is a collection of carefully chosen, classic pieces that never go out of style. (Your closet already has a capsule wardrobe.) The things in a capsule wardrobe are the ones you adore wearing every day. Many minimalists contend that a capsule wardrobe should consist of between 30 and 50 things for the whole year, but I disagree. A capsule wardrobe should be created around your lifestyle and comprise items that you enjoy wearing and that make you happy. How to start a capsule wardrobe? Step 1: Analyze your style and lifestyle: Knowing our style is the first step to creating a wardrobe you will enjoy. You can take a style quiz to gain a general idea of what kind dominates in your life. Step 2: Track what you like to wear for 30 days: There are many ways to do this, either by manually tracking down what you wore every day in a notebook or in the note app on your mobile phone whenever and wherever and whatever comes to your mind while working or walking through the park, or while listening to some music. Step 3: The closet clean-out! You will have a better idea of your existing capsule wardrobe that currently exists in your closet after tracking what you wore effortlessly for 30 days. There is no magic number; creating a capsule wardrobe is about choosing the clothes you want to wear. Of course, you'll have gorgeous formal gowns you wear to weddings once a year, as well as your athletic wear and loungewear. They are not included in your capsule. Think of your capsule as your “go-to” rack of things you love to wear every day based on your lifestyle. The second pile represents the bulk of the job; it is now time to classify the remaining items. Before organizing, examine each thing to ensure that the idea of wearing it in the future makes you joyful. I would just get rid of it if it makes you feel guilty or like you have to wear it for "x reason." Sort your clothing into these categories: all-year fundamentals, Summer and spring, autumn and winter, and sell/donate pile. Keep track of the number of things you have in each category before deciding whether to create an annual or seasonal capsule. Although every one of us has a different lifestyle, it's crucial to continue wearing the clothes we enjoy. I personally enjoy creating seasonal capsule wardrobes because it declutters my closet by putting away the things I won't be using, and it allows me to view everything I have for the current season and think of new ways to style and wear the same items. I find it really energizing and enjoyable that when the seasons change, your old clothing transforms into your "new capsule" without the need to shop! Step 4: Define your colors / create a color palette to guide your future shopping: When creating a capsule wardrobe, a color palette is something optional but highly helpful because it serves as a shopping reference. Following the experiment of wearing 30 different products for 30 days, you will discover which colors you like to wear again. These colors may then be added to your color palette reference guide, giving you a direction for choosing colors when you go shopping in the future. Step 5: Map out your capsule and create a wishlist for missing items: It's time to develop a mental or visual map of your capsule or capsules to assist you to purchase less now that you've chosen your basics and given what you don't enjoy. If, after categorizing your wardrobe, you discovered that many of your "all-year staples" can be worn in the fall and winter, you no longer have an excuse to buy a new sweater. Instead, you should experiment with layering and set a goal for yourself to wear your sweaters throughout the year. Making a checklist of how many additional tops you believe you could need can help you finish your spring capsule wardrobe. You might have discovered during your closet clean-out that you don't have enough new and breathable tops for spring. Step 6: Rewear before you have the urge to buy again: This is the stage when you learn to be more creative, thus I believe it to be my favorite. I try to make myself put on an item from my closet that I haven't worn in a while whenever I feel the want to purchase it. It's acceptable to just get rid of it and donate it to someone who might enjoy and re-wear it more than you if you try to re-wear anything and you don't feel confident or attractive in it. We never have the perfect closet, and occasionally we hang onto things because we are not used to letting go. Step 7: Invest in quality over quantity, your clothes shouldn’t cost as much as your cup of coffee, and here’s why: Learn about the fibers used in the clothing you buy, as well as the implications of tossing away clothing, if you want to become a more deliberate consumer. Did you know that 85% of textile waste in the USA ends up in landfills? Rewearing is the main way to lessen your fashion footprint. If you must purchase anything new, consider buying used items or supporting firms that are ethical, sustainable, and that use natural and organic textiles as well as recycled materials when producing their clothing. Sometimes, environmentally friendly clothing may cost more than conventional clothing, but this is only because environmentally friendly manufacturers pledge to pay their employees a fair salary and to use only premium, natural, or recycled materials. Your clothing shouldn't be as expensive as your morning brew. We must develop the habit of paying reasonable rates for goods. #Fashion #Capsule Wardrobe #Clothing #collection #Style #Colours SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs. India Story FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION Legendary Female Icons Who Made Fashion Statements In The 20th Century FASHION The House of Chanel: History FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Snake That Wore Red: Inside The Vision Cultured™ Revolution 19 October 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Shah Francesca Bellettini Ushers In Gucci’s New Dawn 19 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Dibba Studio: Weaving The Future Of Fashion At Thailand Fashion Week AW25-26 2 September 2025 FASHION By Shriniwas Kodape Aksstagga: Threads That Whisper Love, Memory, And Eternity 21 August 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS Advertisement

A flower of creativity has blossomed in men’s fashion in recent years, igniting the menswear renaissance and refashioning archaic historical ideas of what it means to be masculine or feminine. In particular, feminine and masculine have been shaped and constrained by the gendered expectations of fashion: skirts and dresses are girly, whereas suits are for men; heels are for women, and sports or athletic gear is more masculine. This debate over who should wear what has persisted throughout history. Because of these harmful ideas about what it means to be a man, men are expected to dress nicely to be considered "truly masculine," or else they become weak, frail, feminine, or gay. But none of these terms—"feminine," "gay," "soft," or "fragile"—should ever be used as a derogatory epithet. “The ‘manly men’ are those who have the strength and courage to dress in whatever they are confident and comfortable with and most importantly of their preference.” For many centuries, the way men dressed was regulated—with strict guidelines—in terms of their position in the social hierarchy. Fashion has long been political and associated with power. Men in the seventeenth century were demonstrating traits of power when they appeared in flamboyant velvet and lace ensembles, caps decorated with ostrich feathers, and red-heeled shoes. The French Revolution ushered in significant change as well as the beginnings of more gender-neutral male attire. Male fashion these days follows different channels of transformation. The regular grooming of males is increasingly including makeup. The goal of skincare for men does not include making them seem attractive. In Western consumer shops, the moisturizer was formerly prohibited, but today it's ubiquitous, according to Gough. Along with other roles traditionally held by women, such as parenting and cooking, "makeup is one of the last bastions of femininity that males are creeping onto." Is the future of masculinity being defined by current trends in fashion? Probably, yes. Billy Porter's performance as "a living piece of political art" as he walked the Oscars red carpet in a tuxedo ball gown is evidence of the changes that have taken place, but when might those Hollywood fantasies come true for the average person? While certain Dusty Springfield-inspired miniskirts (from Charles Jeffrey) are regarded a tad "full-on," leopard print, neon, and "mirts"—men's skirts—are highlighted in British GQ's chart of menswear trends for Autumn/Winter 2019. Harry Styles utilizes the language of fashion to debunk common notions about what it means to be a man. Styles has now been able to modify the stereotypical image of conventional masculinity that the media marketed during his One Direction days as an ultra-male womanizer by changing his appearance. He cheerfully explains that he cherishes being in touch with his femininity as he openly flaunts nail paint, glittery suits, tutus, tiaras, and gowns today. No less of a man is Styles as a result of this. However, the boundaries imposed by toxic masculinity are starting to dissolve as menswear possibilities finally move away from this constricting gendered split. In December 2020, Styles became the first guy to appear alone on the cover of Vogue while proudly wearing a dress. Many people appreciated his cover, but it also sparked debate. In response, conservative writer Candace Owens tweeted, "There is no civilization that can thrive without strong males... Bring back the strong guys”. When he shared another image of himself posing for his Variety cover shot in a baby blue pleated suit with white ruffles and a V-neck cut, Styles deftly flipped her statements on their head by explicitly repeating them. His article exposes the toxic masculinity that permeates our culture and demonstrates the fact that a guy may define what it means to be "manly" for himself. Whether he is wearing a dress or not, he is still just as much of a man. Contrasted sharply with 19th-century fashion, which grew much more gender-specific, is this opulently masculine style. Men who wore skirts stopped wearing them once trousers became the norm. The "gentleman" was developed, and the suit developed into the pinnacle of masculine style, signifying male virility, power, and professionalism. In the modern office, menswear nearly always centers on the suit, which is often simple and dark in color. The tie, another not-so-subtle emblem of manhood, completes the look. However, the boundaries imposed by toxic masculinity are starting to dissolve as menswear possibilities finally move away from this constricting gendered split. While the western world is comfortable with women wearing trousers and male attire but a slight change in male fashion and beauty standards questions their masculinity. Because of cultural changes, there is no longer a harmful clothing code for being a guy. Even Daniel Craig attended the most recent James Bond premiere in a pink velvet suit. Daniel Craig's ability to dazzle the red carpet in a vision of pink illustrates just how much the idea of "manliness" has altered. As Harry Styles has demonstrated, being a man today can mean anything one wants it to mean. The'manly guys' are those who have the guts and strength to dress whatever they like. #MaleFashion #Masculinity #Feminine #Manly #Gender #GenderSpecific #BillyPorter #HarryStyles #Masculine #DanielCraig #Skincare #MakeUp SEARCH Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows FASHION From Dreams To Crowns: Anuradha Garg’s Inspiring Mrs.
- Qatar Airways And Hans Zimmer: A New Era In The Sound Of Travel
By Anurag Sen By Anurag Sen Qatar Airways And Hans Zimmer: A New Era In The Sound Of Travel 17 August 2025 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the world of luxury air travel, every detail shapes the passenger experience, the feel of the cabin, the quality of the service, the rhythm of the journey. Now, Qatar Airways has elevated one of the most intangible yet powerful elements: its sound. The airline, crowned World’s Best Airline for a record ninth time by Skytrax in 2025 , has partnered with Academy Award- and Grammy-winning composer Hans Zimmer to create a bespoke sonic identity that will resonate with travellers long after they land. The collaboration unites two masters of their respective crafts. Zimmer, whose scores have defined some of cinema’s most stirring moments, now turns his hand to the skies, composing a suite of melodic themes designed to accompany passengers from the first step onboard to the final farewell. More than an audio backdrop, the score is a narrative in itself a reflection of Qatar Airways’ elegance, ambition, and vision for what modern travel can be. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, sees this as a natural extension of the airline’s philosophy. “Music shapes the emotional journey of our passengers, both in the air and on the ground. Our new soundscape will be a reflection of the brand’s spirit, enhancing every moment of travel,” he shared. That spirit blending refinement with innovation is something Zimmer has captured across a body of work that spans decades and genres. For the composer, this was more than a commission; it was an exploration. “Travel is its own form of storytelling,” Zimmer noted. “With Qatar Airways, we’ve created something that celebrates the beauty of movement, the connection between people and places, and the anticipation of what’s ahead.” His signature style layered, emotive, and cinematic lends itself naturally to an airline that views every journey as an experience to be savoured. The score will debut across Qatar Airways’ onboard music, extending to lounges and key brand touchpoints, and will be released as a full musical album on major streaming platforms. Passengers can expect to hear it not just as they settle into their seats but as an ever-present companion subtly shifting in tone to mirror the stages of the journey. This new audio identity arrives at a moment of continued excellence for the airline. With a network of over 170 destinations worldwide and its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport , consistently ranked among the world’s best, Qatar Airways continues to set benchmarks in both service and innovation. Beyond accolades, the airline’s focus on creating emotional resonance through design, service, and now sound is what distinguishes it in a competitive global landscape. For travellers, the partnership offers something rare in modern aviation: a sense of artistry woven into the infrastructure of the trip. It’s a reminder that travel is not only about reaching a destination but about shaping the space in between. A well-crafted soundtrack can stir memories, heighten anticipation, and even make time feel different, an idea well understood by both airline and artist. The launch of this score is not a one-off gesture but the start of a long-term collaboration, signalling that Qatar Airways intends to evolve its sonic brand alongside its broader vision. In a time when airlines are measured on efficiency, speed, and connectivity, here is one taking the time to compose a feeling, one that passengers will carry with them long after the engines power down. In the hands of Hans Zimmer and Qatar Airways, the sound of travel has found a new voice: timeless, inspiring, and distinctly attuned to the art of the journey. - The Road To Independence Is Paved With More Than Just Likes, Said Deeksha Gupta
The Road To Independence Is Paved With More Than Just Likes, Said Deeksha Gupta by Akshra Khandelwal The Road To Independence Is Paved With More Than Just Likes, Said Deeksha Gupta 4 September 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the ever-evolving realm of social media, where the pursuit of authenticity and success often converge, a vibrant star emerges whose journey is as inspiring as it is genuine. Deeksha Gupta, the name that has been weaving its way into the digital tapestry, welcomed us into her world for a candid conversation about her rise as an influencer, the transformative power of collaborations, and the unwavering drive to stay true to oneself. With a refreshing blend of humility and ambition, Deeksha unveiled her story, reflecting on the rollercoaster of "almost" blooming days that shaped her path. From her humble beginnings with around 40,000 followers, she made it clear that her focus was always on authenticity. "I never want to do collaborations, and I like posting whatever I feel like that shows the real me," she often told her close circle. Yet, fate had its plans. A turning point emerged when Deeksha decided to leap of faith and say yes to her first brand collaboration. The outcome was beyond her expectations, as she pocketed a considerable 10,000 units of her chosen currency. The impact was profound – a newfound sense of independence and the pride of making her parents' hearts swell with joy ignited a relentless fire within her. As we sipped our chosen beverages, Deeksha playfully shared her signature style and described her as an ode to comfort with a hint of style. "It has to be a white top and dark blue denim or shorts. But let's not forget those essential cycling shorts – they're an absolute must. Comfort shouldn't compromise style," she quipped. Moving beyond the fashion realm, Deeksha invited us into her fitness journey. With a disciplined approach, she embraced a weekly "push, pull, & legs" routine, while her abs found their strength through a dedicated circuit routine. But it wasn't all about physical prowess; Deeksha's sanctuary lay in the moments of unwinding that marked her day's end. "I believe that the moments of unwinding are sacred," Deeksha shared with a smile that held the wisdom of experience. She detailed her cherished ritual with an almost poetic description – stepping into her room, shedding the layers of makeup, and engaging in heartfelt conversations with her confidantes over a call. "It's my favorite part of the day," she admitted, "a time when I can truly be myself and recharge." Deeksha's love for skincare emerged as a common thread during these serene moments. The diligent application of creams and serums was complemented by a central ritual that spoke volumes about her character – tidying her room. "It may sound 'small,' I guess," she mused, "but I find it essential. Going to bed with everything in order sets the tone for the next day." The conversation turned toward aspirations, and Deeksha's eyes lit up with a dream she had been nurturing. "I want to collaborate with Dyson," she confessed. The aim was more than just a product acquisition; it was a testament to her determination and vision of success. "I could buy it, sure," she acknowledged, "but there's something magical about collaborating with a brand that resonates with you." Deeksha's journey, marked by dedication and a desire to prove herself, has been punctuated by challenges and lessons. "I learned this the hard way," she reflected, "but giving up or losing heart is never an option." She cautioned against getting carried away by fleeting successes, urging fellow content creators to persist even when the metrics seem unfavourable. "Keep creating content regardless of the engagement. It'll always be you versus you," she affirmed. As our conversation drew close, Deeksha shared her vision for the future – driven by kindness and grounded in humility. "I look forward to being kinder and down-to-earth," she said, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "Making my loved ones proud is what fuels my spirit." In the realm of influencers, where facades can be as captivating as they are deceiving, Deeksha Gupta stands out as a beacon of authenticity. Her journey, shaped by triumphs and trials, is an inspiring reminder that success is not just about numbers but the relentless pursuit of one's passions. With her heart set on the horizon, Deeksha Gupta continues to carve her unique path, reminding us that the journey is as important as the destination and that staying true to oneself is the most potent influence. - Breeze By Lebua State Tower: Duck Skin, Oolong, And The Distance Between Who You Are And Who You Were
By Shriniwas Kodape Breeze By Lebua State Tower: Duck Skin, Oolong, And The Distance Between Who You Are And Who You Were 9 September 2025 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement I wasn’t looking for redemption. I just wanted to regale. Bangkok had been loud all day—sticky heat, tuk-tuks coughing up diesel prayers, and that electric chaos of a megacity that never completely lets you be alone. So when the elevator at Lebua opened onto the 52nd floor, and the night air slapped my face clean, I felt something close to stillness. The kind of stillness that usually comes right before something unforgettable—or tragic. And that’s when I saw it. A skybridge glowing violet, like a spinal cord to the stars. No signage. No shouting. Just the quiet confidence of a place that knows it doesn’t need to scream. Breeze by Lebua, perched in the clouds, is a temple to Chinese cuisine—bold, meticulous, and rooted more in memory than in trend. It isn’t just a dining spot. It’s a floating cathedral of soy, smoke, silence, and second chances. The first revelation came in the form of a salad. Not the limp, guilt-ridden afterthought of Western menus. No. This was Duck Salad—pomelo pearls gleaming like citrus caviar, crisp duck skin cracking under your chopsticks, plum sauce sweet but not syrupy, bitter greens and toasted pine nuts woven together like a quiet overture. It wasn’t a starter. It was a handshake from the chef. A challenge: “Are you ready for what’s coming?” And to wash it down? Bollinger Special Cuvée—lively and rich, like a polite punch to the throat. It cleared the palate and the mind in one swig. The duck didn’t stand a chance. I barely had time to reflect before the second act began. They asked if I wanted the Wok-Seared River Prawn in oolong soy or the steamed Tia Mara oyster with chili vermicelli. I looked at the waiter and said, “Why choose?” He didn’t blink. Just nodded and vanished. The Wok-Seared River Prawn arrived first—sizzling, lacquered in oolong, touched with young ginger and the kind of tea leaf you imagine monks hiding in mountaintop caves. It tasted like earth and elegance. Crisp edges, tender body, sauce like a slow-spoken poem. Paired with a clean, mineral Vermentino, it whispered of restraint. Of fire used wisely. Then came the oyster—a monster, bathed in fermented Hunan chili and tangled in glassy vermicelli. One bite and the heat unfurled, slow and sultry. It didn’t scream—it seduced. It left a burn in the throat and a smile on my face. A dish that doesn’t beg for approval. It assumes it. I was ready to tap out. But Breeze by Lebua was just getting warmed up. The steamed ruby fish came next. No fancy tricks. No drama. Just soft flesh, steamed to the edge of breaking, cloaked in black bean and white sesame, with a pickled chili sauce that teased rather than tortured. This was classic Chinese cuisine—filtered through a modern lens. Minimal. Precise. And paired with Chablis Premier Cru, it was silk meeting steel. Then the main course landed like a full stop. They offered me two options again: Wagyu beef with mui choy or charcoal-grilled lamb rack with XO sauce and ginger-scallion fried rice. I went with the lamb. Something about the smoke in the air told me it was the right call. The meat came blistered, nearly black at the edges, dripping with XO, black garlic, and unapologetic indulgence. It tasted like someone grilled heaven over hardwood. Fried rice? Fragrant with ginger, scallion oil glistening like streetlights on wet pavement. The whole plate buzzed with energy. It asked you to lean in. I took a sip of Silver Oak Cabernet, and suddenly, the night made sense. But then came the wagyu. (Yes, I had both. You knew that.) Marbled cubes of beef, sticky with soy, surrounded by trumpet mushrooms and bitter preserved greens. This wasn’t beef. This was memory foam for the soul. It didn’t demand your attention. It deserved it. By this point, Bangkok shimmered below like a wet painting. The wine was down to its last drops. I leaned back in the chair—full, foolish, and ready to call it a night. But Breeze by Lebua had one more card to play. Chocolate Banana. Sounds like a punchline. It wasn’t. Chocolate parfait, sable biscuit, banana caramel, banana ice cream, vanilla ganache—each element more indulgent than the last. But instead of overwhelming, it all came together in harmony. A soft, playful coda to a hard-hitting symphony. It wasn’t just dessert. It was forgiveness. For the city. For the heat. For the oyster I devoured too fast. For the version of myself that eats to forget. A final sip of 10-Year Tawny Port—warm and nutty—sealed the deal. I sat there in the quiet, chewing the skyline, sipping the last of something I didn’t earn, and thinking: This is why we go out. Not for calories. Not even for flavors. But for the feeling that somewhere out there, someone still gives a damn about doing it right. And when they do? The sky eats first. But you’re lucky enough to follow.
