Saran subsequently appeared in several more Telugu films alongside Hindi and Tamil films. In addition to her work in films, Saran has been the brand ambassador for brands across India, endorsing beauty and health products. She was also the brand ambassador for Celebrity Cricket League for its first two seasons. Shriya Saran is a versatile actress with a standing in multiple film industries, having done films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Malayalam and Kannada. We are all looking forward to her upcoming projects, Kazaa with Upendra and Sudeep, Music school with Sharman Joshi and a show with Dharma. In a Candid interview with Aparajita Jaiswal she relays how grateful she is to be a part of cinema and having lived in a country that is so beautifully united even though we have such diverse cultures and inhabit disparate worlds of thought. She talks about taking a flight from Delhi to Hyderabad and how that experience changed her life, opening her to a range of cultures and then eventually learning multiple languages including Tamil. “This journey has taught me everything that I am today and it has made me stronger. It has made me understand the power of cinema and how beautiful it is. I’m so grateful that I’m part of cinema. Also, I feel it’s beautiful how language changes the flavour of people. Every language has a different sense of humour and different ways of telling stories but one thing that unites cinema is that one ‘camera’ that we act for and that one ‘action and take’. It’s magic that happens and that’s what makes us alive. I am so grateful I’m part of the cinema.” Shriya Saran speaks about her experience working with Ajay Devgn, one of Bollywood’s gems and a legend. “With Ajay Devgan, I have worked in Drishyam 1, Drishyam 2 and RRR. Thankfully with Krishna’s blessings, they have all been very big hits. It was a pleasure working with someone as trained and as articulate as he is. He lights up the camera, he lights up the screen and he’s a very giving actor. He speaks with his eyes and expresses so beautifully with his eyes. He’s a wonderful actor. He gives a lot to the actor he works with too. It’s just amazing to work with him.” Today’s world and today’s cinema is perceivably about beauty and the visual arts. Shriya talks about going back to her pre-pregnancy shape, being a public figure. “It’s a visual medium and I’m an actor. Visually, everything has to be perfect when I’m on stage and when I’m in front of the camera. So, there is the stress of losing weight and today, we live in an Instagram world where everything has to be perfect. There are filters and what not. I feel like it’s about the pressure that you put on yourself today. Today, I’m very respectful of my body and I love what my body has done for me. I’m very grateful for it, I’m very grateful to Krishna for my body and for my health. I’m moving towards being healthy, doing a lot of yoga, dance and kathak. It’s more about competing with my own self and being a better version of myself than trying to look like somebody else.” Therapy for mental health issues amongst men and women in today's age and climate is a must and a rising issue. Shriya Saran comes forward to speak more about it. “I think that it is very interesting that mental health is being addressed, thanks to a lot of people. Somebody who really came forward and spoke a lot about it is Deepika Padukone and then Alia Bhatt’s own sister spoke about it. I was talking to Ishaan and his wife spoke a lot about it. So, a lot of people who talked about it were more honest about what they were feeling before it was supposed to be not cool to talk about it but now it’s more normalized and I’m very grateful to all the beautiful people who came out and spoke about mental health.” Shriya Saran also talks about women empowerment and how it should be about equality more than anything else. “I think women empowerment for me is all about getting equal rights for women and men and respect. Just giving us equal opportunities and actually stop asking questions like ‘How will you work now that you are with child?’ Or ‘How will you work now that you are married?’. Just creating a space which is very favourable and easy for women to work.” Women empowerment means strengthening women with all the rights of social, economic, and educational needs. It is to create an environment having no gender inequality for women. It is to empower them with equal rights in the family, society, community, and workplace. Everyone loves seeing Shriya and her relationship with Radha on her Instagram. She speaks very fondly of her as she says, “‘The mother’ has changed everything in me. Radha is everything to me. She’s my life, she’s my sunshine. I see her feet on the sand when she runs and when she touches water, her little fingers and she says these little little words: ‘Mama’, ‘Papa’. It’s just beautiful, every day’s a new day. I love her. She’s making me a better person. I love my work more now and I feel like today, I want to make her proud and everyday I’m at work, I’m on the set, I want to make her proud. I want her to watch my films one day and say ‘I love what you’ve done, Mama. I’m very proud of you.’" SEARCH Actor Kangna Sharma gives a sneak peek into the movie of her life COVER STORIES Finding Power In Individuality: In Conversation With The Stunning Alina Rai COVER STORIES Madhura Naik talks about the Life of an Actress COVER STORIES Kavya Thapar And Her Versatile Acting Career That Cuts Across Regional Lines COVER STORIES Ahsaas Channa Talks About Her Mother Being The Inspiration Behind Her Career COVER STORIES POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Neon Nights And Yellow Lights: The Sonic World Of Natania Lalwani 30 April 2025 COVER STORIES By Sakshi Batra Farhan Khan: Where Poetry Meets Hip-Hop, And Stories Come Alive 10 February 2025 COVER STORIES By Anushka Sharma A Journey Shaped By Courage, Creativity, And Social Media With Aditi Sharma 19 October 2024 COVER STORIES By Anushka Sharma A Journey Of Transformation, Empathy, And Unwavering Passion With Jitin Gulati 11 October 2024 COVER STORIES RELATED POSTS Advertisement

  • The History Of Heels: Explained

The History Of Heels: Explained by Aishwarya The History Of Heels: Explained 4 November 2022 FASHION Advertisement For the last 3 centuries, high heels are extensively thought to be a women’s vogue. Seen everywhere from the runways to daily work attire, adding several elevations to a woman’s height is often thought of as the key to attachment associate ensemble along. All the same, as addicts of fashion at intervals and out of doors the trade take strides to interrupt the gender binary in attire, multiple men are noticed sporting high heels. By clutches footwear that has become such an associate picture illustration of female fashion, their selection is far dubbed “ground-breaking” or “gender-bending.” Curiously enough, the invention of high heels began specifically for men. The initial notable kind of heels dates back to the 10th- century in Persia. Male warriors riding horseback used heels to secure their feet within the stirrups and provide them additional leverage while fighting. The origin of high-heels is derived back to the fifteenth century in Persia when warriors wore them to secure their legs in stirrups. Persian settlers brought the shoe trend to Europe, where men and nobles wore them to look tall and fearful. Because the high heel came to indicate power and military artistry, it conjointly changed into a show of wealth, as solely those with wealth might afford horses. This symbolism reemerges in France during the 1600s during the reign of King Sun King. The Master of Versailles used footwear to differentiate each category and preference of the military. In 1670, he declared that solely members of the noble category might wear heels, and also he solely allowed his favourite courtiers to wear red( his colour of choice). The most international and perhaps the oldest shoe story considers a righteous woman whose shoes elevate her to a progressive rank- Cinderella. The story of the ‘slipper test’ is derived from the first century in Egypt. This tale and many more like them, advocate the picture of slippers as status and represent the importance, power and magic of shoes. By the end of the French Revolution, though, high heels were thought of as too feminine and customarily forgotten by men in Europe, yet, across the pool, because the yank West began to draw in new settlers, the wrangler, arguably associated and outlined by his attire, was thought of as the epitome of masculinity and masculine pride. Most wrangler kicks featured an associate inverted spherical heel referred to as a Cuban heel( representing the footwear of ancient Flamenco prom) and were a necessity for staying upright while moving long distances on horseback. Despite this, heels outside the wrangler setting were typically still thought to be women’s shoes. It had been not till the 1960s, once the rock group jaded the “ Beatle Boots ” — associated with early replication of Chelsea kicks — that the heel was reinvited into menswear. Rock- n- roll teams of the late-twentieth century like Aerosmith and Mötley Crue embraced such tamed designs in addition, whereas glam gem artists like Kiss and David Bowie selected for alternative ostentatious renditions. Unlike the low Cuban heels of'70s hair bands, Bowie and his stage persona Ziggy romanticism gravitated towards daring platforms, stilettos, or typically improved heels all of that were, at the time, substitutable with women's fashion. Whereas cultures like drag queen communities and theatre culture throughout this point had earlier standardized men carrying heels and alternative historically womanly clothes, Bowie's look brought gender subversive fashion to the thought. In the 2010s, the come of the Chelsea bang in convenience wardrobes was, erstwhile once more, met was respectable attention. Though, as designers still mix menswear and womenswear, the androgynous lines around apparel and accessories have lightened in their harshness. Heels improved and flashier than a straightforward black Chelsea kick square measure additional common for men than in previous decades. Brands have used them as a part of their menswear collections, and they have so established their approach to streetwear. Such as apparel, the step-down of heels as a "woman's shoe" continues to unfold as attire becomes lesser tied to one's personal identity and sex. As men hit red carpets and magazine covers in robes, there's no reason they ought to not have a pleasant few heels to accompany them. The origin of high- heels is derived back to fifteenth century Persia once warriors wore them to assist secure their legs in stirrups. #Heels #HighHeels #Soldiers #Fashion #History #MensWear #FashionHistory SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape AiSPi Wanderlust Diaries: Marzook, L’Afshar, And A Fashion Bender In Mumbai 25 April 2025 FASHION By Anushka Uniyal Kiyaan Silver: Timeless Jewellery For Every Woman 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra The Shoe Faktory Success Story: Ishpreet Singh Gujral’s Bold Business Leap 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra From Reality TV To Real Success: Nibedita Paal’s Inspiring Story 27 March 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS

We know that fashion trends vary over time, and the same is true of gender norms. Now that gender fluidity is acknowledged by society, the fashion industry believes it to be fascinating. Fashion has no boundaries. As the name suggests, gender-fluid fashion defies all preconceived notions and infuses people with a fresh sense of self-assurance. Is fashion merely clothes, or does it push the boundaries of society by developing broader social convictions? Is a person's gender determined by their clothing? Is a person's gender determined by their clothing? Is the pace of fashion industry trends accelerating to the point where people are unable to follow them? • Building Opportunities And Expanding Horizons: An Interview With Actor Or Writer Meghana Kaushik

Building Opportunities And Expanding Horizons: An Interview With Actor Or Writer Meghana Kaushik by Aadhya Venkatesh Building Opportunities And Expanding Horizons: An Interview With Actor Or Writer Meghana Kaushik 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Meghana Kaushik is a multitalented actress and writer who aspires to do great work in the entertainment industry. Wishing to leave her mark, she thrives on the competition she faces. Meghana identifies the kind of work that she needs to do to justify her talent. "As an artist, your goals are clear to you", she says. While speaking about recognizing opportunities, she said that one must always be prepared for the golden opportunity, ready to strike it with complete determination when it does occur. Stemming from the need to create such 'golden opportunities' for herself and others, she began writing for the screen. "As a writer, I can tell stories and narratives that I, as an actor, would like to act in". Meghana also believes that writing stories that she believes in will allow her to talk about subjects that need to be voiced. Meghana comes from theatre and has trained with Barry John as she always believes in improving her craft. Her foray into acting has been a learning curve. Belonging to a family with no connection to the industry, she had to learn everything about the process from scratch. The downside to this is that she has been dropped from many projects because she is not well-connected or comparatively well-known. She hopes that she can eventually work with creators that "cast actors based on their talent instead of social media follower count". Wishing to travel the world with her career, she wants to stand out in her field. She sees herself on the world stage, winning internationally acclaimed awards for her work while simultaneously creating a space of recognition for Indian talent. Currently, she is working on two feature films, one of which she is co-writing. Her inspiration in the field ranges from Madhubala, Waheeda Rehman, Sridevi and Alia Bhatt in the Indian film industry to icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, and Emily Blunt, amongst others. One of the easiest roles Meghana has played to date has been Nikita from Love, Lust, and Confusion. She believes that the character helped bring out her alter-ego, a person who was free-spirited, fashionable and non-judgmental about life and choices. Meghana strives to be a leader in a world full of followers. She urges those around her to remain positive in their lives and not let our differences and flaws bring us down. She propagates empowerment through acceptance of personal flaws with flair and grace. "Set yourself small goals to start with, and love yourself first" is the mantra she wishes to share. In a message to the youth, she pushes them to take charge and pave the way for the world to become a better place. She champions everyone to use their energies to protect fundamental human rights and promotes education for all. "We always need to be mindful and dream big. It is pertinent that we do not get caught up in mediocrity". • Rediscovering The Preciousness Of Couture With Rizman Ruzaini's "Mustika" Collection

Rediscovering The Preciousness Of Couture With Rizman Ruzaini's "Mustika" Collection By Anushka Sharma Rediscovering The Preciousness Of Couture With Rizman Ruzaini's "Mustika" Collection 5 September 2024 FASHION Advertisement In the ever-changing, evolving and dynamic world of fashion, where trends change as swiftly as the seasons, some collections transcend the ephemeral, grounding us in a sense of history and identity. Rizman Ruzaini 's Spring/Summer 2025 collection in Dubai Fashion Week , aptly named "Mustika," is one such offering—a rich narrative of nostalgia, cultural homage, and meticulous craftsmanship that takes us on a journey through time. Treading A Journey into "Mustika” The name "Mustika" is inspired by the character in the 1999 Malaysian film “Perempuan Melayu Terakhir” (“The Last Malay Woman”), directed by Erma Fatima. This cinematic gem explores the tension between preserving cultural heritage and embracing modernity, a theme that resonates deeply with the collection. In Malay, "mestika" refers to a precious stone or something deeply cherished—a fitting metaphor for the exquisite pieces that Rizman Ruzaini has crafted. Brimming Of Nostalgia in Every Stitch The creative spark for this collection was ignited by a serendipitous moment: Ruzaini Jamil, Creative Director of Rizman Ruzaini, rediscovered an old photograph of his late grandmother, Tok Puteh Surin. The image, which captured Tok Puteh and her friends in the 1950s, dressed in elegant kebaya and batik sarongs, evoked a sense of timeless grace. This photograph not only transported Ruzaini back to a pre-independence era but also inspired him to bring that era's style to life in the SS25 collection. The kebaya, a traditional blouse-dress combination worn by women in the Nusantara region, takes center stage in this collection. It’s a garment steeped in history, with roots that date back centuries. Rizman Ruzaini has reimagined the kebaya with a modern twist, yet each piece retains the essence of its rich heritage. A Cinematic Tribute to Some of the Iconic Films: Ruzaini’s inspiration didn’t stop at family memories; it extended to the silver screen. Iconic films like “Penarek Becha” (1955) and “Rachun Dunia” (1950) showcase the kebaya in all its cinematic glory, immortalized by beloved Malay actors such as P. Ramlee, Saadiah, and Kasma Booty. These classic films, which hold a special place in the hearts of many Malaysians, served as a muse for the collection. The result is a line of garments that echo the elegance of these filmic masterpieces while offering a fresh perspective on a traditional staple. The Art of Embroidery In a nod to the evolution of the kebaya, the collection highlights the intricate embroidery that became a hallmark of the garment in the 1940s. Malay and Jawi Peranakan communities favored plant motifs, while Chinese Peranakan kebayas often featured animal designs—a reflection of their cultural symbolism. Rizman Ruzaini’s SS25 collection honors these traditions while introducing contemporary touches, including tambour beading and machine embroidery, which elevate the batik sarongs and kebayas to new heights of sophistication. A Wondrous Celebration of Batik No exploration of Southeast Asian fashion would be complete without batik, and Rizman Ruzaini’s collection gives it the spotlight it deserves. • Atout By Dr. Supriya M: The Trailblazing Educator-Turned-Entrepreneur Redefining Saree Culture

Atout By Dr. Supriya M: The Trailblazing Educator-Turned-Entrepreneur Redefining Saree Culture By Sakshi Batra Atout By Dr. Supriya M: The Trailblazing Educator-Turned-Entrepreneur Redefining Saree Culture 12 March 2025 FASHION Advertisement What happens when a passionate media educator decides to channel her love for tradition into fashion? When you think of Dr. Supriya M, it’s hard to place her within a single box. A passionate media educator, accomplished researcher, and now an ambitious entrepreneur, Dr. Supriya’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Born and raised in Bangalore, she carved her academic path in journalism, earning a Ph.D. from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. Today, she is the dynamic Assistant Professor and Head of the Media Club at the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education. But her identity doesn’t end with her academic accolades. Dr. Supriya’s story reveals her evolution from an academic powerhouse to the visionary founder of “ Atout ,” a brand that is revolutionizing the way we perceive sarees. The Journey From Academia To Entrepreneurship For Dr. Supriya, the spark of entrepreneurship was ignited during her Ph.D. journey. A serendipitous moment occurred when she was required to wear sarees frequently. What could have been a mundane requirement turned into a revelation. As she explored the beauty of sarees, their fabrics, prints, and the stories they carry, she found herself captivated by their charm. It was this fascination with sarees, combined with her enduring love for natural fabrics, that planted the seeds for her entrepreneurial venture. “India is one of the largest exporters of cotton, and I’ve always been inspired by natural fabrics. Sarees, especially, make me feel comfortable, carefree, and stylish all at once,” she shares. Dr. Supriya firmly believes that sarees can effortlessly merge tradition with modernity. “People often associate trendsetting fashion with Western attire like jeans, tops, or skirts. But a saree? It’s sexy, elegant, and timeless—all in one,” she adds with a smile. Introducing Atout: More Than Just A Brand When it came to naming her brand, Dr. Supriya chose something unique - “Atout”, a French word meaning "An Asset." The name reflects her vision, to create sarees that are not just garments but treasured assets for every woman. Atout embraces traditional Indian culture while introducing modern design elements. Dr. Supriya’s love for mul cotton, natural dyes, and block printing forms the core of the brand. She envisions sarees that are free from chemicals, affordable, and versatile enough to fit into every woman’s wardrobe, from festive celebrations to casual outings. Atout: Tradition With A Twist Atout isn’t just about draping fabric; it’s about embracing heritage with a modern lens. Dr. Supriya’s designs are rooted in mul cotton, natural dyes, and block printing, ensuring sustainability while celebrating India’s rich textile legacy. Each Saree From Atout Tells A Story: Comfort Meets Elegance : Natural, chemical-free fabrics make Atout sarees a dream to wear. Bold Meets Beautiful : Vibrant hues, pastels, and timeless prints bring tradition into the 21st century. Affordable Luxury : Elegance doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag—Atout makes beauty accessible to all. Breaking Stereotypes: Sarees As The Ultimate Fashion Statement Dr. Supriya’s philosophy challenges the notion that Western wear dominates modern fashion. “A saree can make you look fashionable, trendy, and powerful. It’s not just a garment; it’s a statement piece,” she asserts. Atout’s sarees aim to showcase how this timeless attire can be reimagined with unique concepts like pastel tones, vibrant hues, and intricate block prints, proving that tradition and trend can coexist beautifully. The Support System Behind Her Success Dr. Supriya credits her family’s unwavering support for her success. Coming from a respectable background -her father an IPS officer, she grew up in an environment that encouraged her to chase her dreams. “My family has always given me the freedom to fly with my wings,” she reflects fondly. On Competition: A Philosophy Of Self-Growth When asked about her competitors, Dr. Supriya’s response is as bold as it is refreshing. “I don’t see anyone as my competition. My only competitor is myself. If I’m satisfied with the quality of my products and my customers are happy, that’s enough for me,” she says with confidence. Future Aspirations: Building A Legacy Looking ahead, Dr. Supriya has ambitious plans for Atout. Her focus is on sustainability, customer satisfaction, and expanding the brand through multiple channels, including e-commerce platforms, multimedia promotions, and word-of-mouth publicity. For her, success is not just about sales, it’s about creating a product that makes people feel good about what they’re wearing. Her vision? To design more innovative fabrics using natural methods and introduce unique sarees that resonate with modern sensibilities while staying true to their roots. The Core Of Atout Dr. Supriya encapsulates her brand’s philosophy in three key principles: durability, affordability, and timeless style. Atout sarees are designed to make women look and feel their best, combining high-quality craftsmanship with natural, chemical-free materials. A Message To Women Everywhere Dr. Supriya’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and staying true to one’s roots. Through Atout, she aims to inspire women to embrace sarees not just as traditional attire but as a bold, versatile, and fashionable choice. As she puts it, “Sarees have been celebrated for centuries. They’re not just garments; they’re a symbol of our culture, our identity, and our ability to blend tradition with innovation. With Atout, I want to remind women that they don’t have to choose between looking trendy and honoring their roots - they can have both.” Dr. Supriya M’s story resonates with anyone who has ever dared to dream beyond the ordinary. From her academic achievements to her entrepreneurial journey, she is a living example of how passion and determination can lead to extraordinary heights. And with Atout, she’s proving that the saree is not just a relic of the past - it’s the future of Indian fashion. • Kavya Thapar And Her Versatile Acting Career That Cuts Across Regional Lines

Kavya Thapar And Her Versatile Acting Career That Cuts Across Regional Lines by Aparajita Jaiswal Kavya Thapar And Her Versatile Acting Career That Cuts Across Regional Lines 12 February 2023 COVER STORIES Advertisement Kavya Thapar is an Indian actress and model who works in Telugu, Tamil as well as Hindi films. Having an illustrious career in both film and fashion, she talked to us about her upcoming projects, her big break, her fashion mantra and some other things that tell us about the versatile person that she is. Kavya was first asked about her “big break” in her career. She highlighted the years 2017 and 2018 as some of the most defining years of her career. She replied “ I started doing ads in 2017 and got my first Telugu movie in October 2017 and my first Tamil and Hindi movies by 2018” Here, Kavya is talking about the movie Ee Maaya Peremito , which was a Telugu language movie that came out in 2018. Kavya played the role of Sheetal Jain in the film, who is the daughter of a rich businessperson. Having worked both in the South and the North of India, Kavya seems to have enjoyed the best of both worlds in the Indian film industry. Carrying this assumption, we asked how she would describe her experience of working both in the South and in Bollywood. Her response met our expectations, when she said “Both the industries have a lot to offer and it’s been a very exciting and overwhelming experience for me. I’ve always been blessed to find amazing opportunities in both the industries and I’ve found some people who are extremely dear to me and are now family. Overall my experience has been nothing short of a blessing and I thank god and my Guruji every day for my journey.’ Her gratefulness for her success was indeed heart-warming. Kavya’s filmography spans across a wide variety of films by now, with distinct plots, genres, roles and of course, languages. Therefore, we had to ask her, which of her works was the closest to her heart. Interestingly, her reply was that she simply could not decide. “I don’t think I can be biased when it comes to my work. Every project I take up I believe in 100% and it’s like my baby.” We then asked her what her advice was for the numerous young women who are trying to get into her industry. The simplicity and authenticity of her advice impressed us, as she advised young aspirants to simply be themselves. She also emphasized hard-work and honesty, along with the right amount of faith and grace. “Don’t find easy ways and solutions. Be patient and keep going with a smile and a prayer.” she said. Kavya was also asked by us about any “fashion mantra” she followed, and would like to share. Her reply was quite amusing, while still being incredibly genuine and profound- a delicate combination indeed. “For me fashion is what my stylists suggest honestly. Otherwise personally I only seek maximum comfort. I believe clothes are made to fit us and we aren’t supposed to fit into clothes. Also size doesn’t matter so wear what you want when you want and how you want just be happy and comfortable. ” Finally, she told us about her upcoming projects. We discovered that 2023 is going to be quite a busy year for Kavya, as she is working on 3 movies down south (two in Tamil and one in Telugu). Without telling us too much and keeping us on the hook, she also mentioned that she has “something very exciting coming up” in Hindi on Amazon Prime. We can’t wait for whatever that might be and wish her the very best for her career. • Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024

Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024 By Sakshi Batra Meet Ishmeet Kaur, The Winner of Mrs. India World 2024 17 December 2024 FASHION Advertisement Journey of Ishmeet Kaur Ishmeet Kaur - Mrs. India World 2024, For me it was not only a journey of determination, passion and self-belief but also a heart full of gratitude. From a childhood rooted in love and support to challenging societal norms, my journey to becoming Mrs. India World goes beyond the crown. It’s a celebration of inner strength, resilience, and the belief that true beauty comes from within. “I’m not just taking away cherished memories with my sister queens, but also the title that has shaped my journey”. “These 7 days have been more than just an experience, they have been a journey of growth, friendship and empowerment, rather than a competition”. "The lessons learned, the bonds formed, and the unforgettable moments will forever remain with me, serving as a constant reminder of the strength and beauty we all hold within." Source of Inspiration When asked about my biggest source of support, “I credit my mother as my guiding light from being my constant support through thick and thin whenever I felt like giving up, she became my strength and reminded me to keep chasing my dreams until I achieve them”. With her unwavering support, I am who I am today. Her guidance helped me overcome every hurdle that came my way. The crown I wear is not merely a symbol of victory—it embodies my hard work, passion, and self-belief. I didn’t just chase my dreams, I lived them. On the other hand, I often see parents not supporting their child's career choices. To them, my advice is simple: “Never give up on your dreams”. Stay true to your passion and trust your journey. If you remain authentic to yourself and your aspirations, then sky’s the limit. "If you follow your heart with determination, success will undoubtedly find its way to you." The best part of my journey has been the unwavering support of not just my mother, but my entire family and my partner, who stood as my pillars of strength in achieving my dreams. Their only advice to me was simple yet profound: stay true to who you are, and always remain humble and grounded with your fellow contestants. “They mentioned that true beauty comes within and that should reflect through my actions”. The Changing Phase of Pageantry I believe that the world has been undergoing a shift, moving away from the traditional beliefs and stereotypical norms, the days are gone when beauty pageants were just about perfect figures and dazzling smiles but in today’s scenario women with different body shapes and sizes are respected and are being welcomed “Today, the pageants celebrate authenticity and individuality” and the focus has also expanded to inner beauty, confidence, intelligence & social awareness rather than just physical appearance. These days “pageants are embracing diversity in terms of ethnicities, backgrounds, age, sexuality and gender identity”. Pageants now place more emphasis on contestants' intelligence, social awareness and community involvement. Winners are often expected to be role models and advocates for social causes”. This shift reflects a broader, more inclusive vision of beauty. However, the path to success is never easy. “Indian women face many societal restrictions, making it hard to build a career, they must navigate countless obstacles and negotiate at every step to overcome the challenges in their path”. But by participating in Mrs. India World, I feel I have broken stereotypes and shown that no dream is impossible, regardless of marital status. Life Lessons Among the many rounds in the pageant, “My favourite was the personal interview round”. It was a truly special moment that I will cherish for a lifetime, as it gave me the opportunity to connect with each judge one-on-one. “Their humility and inspiring guidance left a lasting impression on me”. Power of confidence & Self-belief What sets me apart from others is not beauty with brains, it was my bolstering confidence, determination and self-belief that got me here and stood me out from everyone else. “I would suggest everyone to follow their heart and not give heat to negative perspectives”. I can't deny that there were moments when I wanted to take a break, do nothing, and just relax. But then I had a self-realisation “I was fortunate enough to be selected among so many talented and brilliant women”. It was a golden opportunity that I couldn’t afford to miss, especially with my dreams so close to being realised. This deep realisation pushed me to stay focused and true to my passion. “It reignited the fire in me to work hard and pursue my dreams with full dedication and honesty”. Favourite Cuisine Even the strict dieters have cravings and for me, it’s Chinese food. "If I had to choose a cheat meal, it would definitely be my favourite Chinese dishes - I just can’t resist them!" Celebrating Talent & Creativity I would be incredibly proud to judge the pageant, and if given the opportunity to create my own round, “I would choose a talent round where all participants could showcase their unique abilities”. Whether it’s singing, dancing, poetry, drama, or any other talent, this round would offer each contestant the chance to express their creativity and passion. “I believe it would provide them with an opportunity to truly shine in something they love, creating a beautiful, personal, and inspiring experience." Redefining Success Ishmeet’s journey is a powerful reminder that success is not just about achievements, but about breaking barriers and staying true to oneself. "Dreams take effort, and sometimes they need a push," but the beauty of the journey lies in overcoming challenges and letting your inner light shine. Her story teaches us that beauty is not just about appearances; it’s about strength, resilience, and the courage to dream big. Ishmeet is living proof that with determination and belief, no dream is ever too far out of reach.
