  • Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era

Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era by Aparajita Jaiswal Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Seerat Kapoor has indeed been an all-rounder through her dancing, singing and acting. When asked about her experience training with Ashleigh Lobo, she reveals- “In all honesty, when I started off as a dancer, I had no long term plan of taking it up as a choreographer. I had merely taken it to train the passion that I have towards dance. I enrolled into Ashleigh’s company as a student, along with a couple of seniors who within my first class spotted me and offered me a scholarship program.” Moreover, the artist claims that she became a co-member of Ashleigh’s team and was landed with the opportunity of working as a choreographer in the movie, Rockstar. Taking a sneak peek into the artist’s journey as an actor, Seerat reveals that performing theatrical dance trained her to “face the camera and the big screen”. Seerat’s parents guided her through the process of training professionally as a singer. “I was very young and my parents had this knack of already understanding that there were two creative kids born to them, my brother and I. My parents thought if I trained, I could potentially stand up in the field of professional singing. At that point, all I wanted was to dance, sing and act. I remember a very open conversation at home about how Hindustani Classical music influences your vocal training.” The artist’s inspiration game is rather idealistic and taken from various forms. “I draw inspiration from everywhere, there are no one or two people, not just industry professionals, but the people I work with. Right from the management to my PR to the team that supports me; everyone inspires me. Seeing old ladies in the gym is an inspiration. Therefore, it’s holistic and I’m also inspired by many films and performances by actors.“ Being a public figure can bring out its “pros and cons”. According to the artist, the perception of a situation and whether it is bound to work in favour or not is in the stride of an actor. Her approach towards negative criticism is constructive as she looks at them as opportunities for her betterment in her art. Seerat Kapoor appeared in Slow Slow music video with Badshaah and Abhishek and has been working on several projects currently. She claims that featuring in Slow Slow music video was extremely good. The opportunity was out of her comfort zone. She added that meeting Badshah created a personal level attachment on a deeper level. In terms of her recent projects, the artist reveals that she has a Bollywood debut release with Tushar Kapoor Entertainment Productions along with veterans such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir. She is currently filming another movie with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi.“ The conversation was extremely delightful. Seerat concluded the interview with a heart- wrenching message for her fans. “I want to tell my fans that they have been such a great support and I won’t stay silent here, because they very loudly cheer for me when I put up something.“ #TaraTaraKhandelwalBooksBooksandbeyondBoundWritersReadersAuthorsLiterary #Love #depression #society #Seerat #Fashion #SeeratKapoor #lutopia #Anxiety #Reality #LutopiaMagazine #skincare #Life #Kapoor #Mentalhealth SEARCH A Journey Shaped By Courage, Creativity, And Social Media With Aditi Sharma COVER STORIES Inner Joy Trails My Inspiration : A Candid Conversation With The Creative Anushka Kaushik COVER STORIES Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview COVER STORIES Educate, Empower, Excel: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's Inspirational Overture COVER STORIES Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey COVER STORIES POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape Tej Music Vodka: The DJ Turning Youth Culture Into a Moving Dancefloor 30 January 2026 COVER STORIES By Sakshi Shah Khushi Bhardwaj Is Growing Up On Screen, And Doing It Her Way 31 December 2025 COVER STORIES By Shriniwas Kodape The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash 4 October 2025 COVER STORIES By Anurag Sen Vivian Dsena: The Fluke Star Who Became Television’s Undying Heartthrob 25 September 2025 COVER STORIES RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement

  • Reflecting on Our World’s Billionaires Despite Corona

SOCIETY By Aparajita Jaiswal Reflecting on Our World’s Billionaires Despite Corona 27 July 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The coronavirus has hit the global economy hard and that includes even the richest people in the world. Forbes recently published its annual list of billionaires and found that the number of billionaires has dropped significantly because of the pandemic. Even among those still on the list, more than half saw their wealth decrease since the pandemic. There were 2,095 billionaires on the list when it was finalized on March 18, according to the business website. That was 58 fewer billionaires than last year and 226 fewer than at the beginning of the month, Forbes reported. Of course, with the markets in flux because of the coronavirus, each billionaire’s net worth also fluctuates depending on the day. Despite this, Jeff Bezos, 56, still stands to be the richest man in the world, despite transferring a quarter of his Amazon stake to his ex-wife MacKenzie last summer, according to Forbes. He was worth $113 billion on March 18. Coronavirus has led Jeff Bezos to donate $100M to feed hungry Americans. Bezos’ gift was the largest single donation Feeding America has ever received. “Today, I want to support those on the front lines at our nation’s food banks and those who are relying on them for food with a $100 million gift to @FeedingAmerica,” Bezos wrote on Instagram. Despite the plight of the world and the ongoing economic effect of the coronavirus crisis, billionaires in the U.S. have seen their wealth increase by over $406 billion in the past month. Other billionaires who have seen their wealth grow amid the pandemic include Tesla CEO Elon Musk — also by nearly $10 billion since January 1. In that time, Zoom founder Eric Yuan has added $3.5 billion to his net worth at $7.4 billion, thanks to the popularity of his video conferencing software in lockdown. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has added more than $4 billion to his fortune. #JeffBezosBezosCoronavirusInstagramTeslaTeslaCEOElonMuskElonMuskMacKenzieZoomfounderEricYuanFormerMicrosoftCEOSteveBallmerBillionForbesPandemicWealthBillionaireFeedingAmerica SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? • Dubai Fashion Week AW 26-27 Opens With Alberta Ferretti’s Quiet Assertion Of Power

Dubai Fashion Week AW 26-27 Opens With Alberta Ferretti’s Quiet Assertion Of Power By Sakshi Shah Dubai Fashion Week AW 26-27 Opens With Alberta Ferretti’s Quiet Assertion Of Power 4 February 2026 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Dubai Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2026/27 began not with spectacle, but with composure. On opening night, the energy was restrained yet deliberate as Italian fashion house Alberta Ferretti made its Middle East debut, setting a considered tone for the week ahead. It was a reminder that confidence in fashion does not always need volume—sometimes, it arrives softly, and stays longer. Fresh from Milan and presented as the opening show of the season, Alberta Ferretti’s Portrait of a Lady unfolded as a thoughtful introduction to Dubai Fashion Week’s AW26/27 narrative. The choice felt intentional. As Dubai continues to position itself as a global fashion capital, the presence of a house so deeply rooted in elegance and craftsmanship underscored the city’s evolving role as a meeting point for international design and cultural exchange. Designed by Creative Director Lorenzo Serafini, the collection reimagined the Victorian heroine through a contemporary lens—less romanticised, more self-possessed. This was femininity expressed through clarity rather than ornamentation. The woman envisioned on the runway did not demand attention; she held it. Chiffon appeared in sculpted, almost protective silhouettes, moving fluidly with the body rather than clinging to it. There was a sense of ease in how the garments existed—never rushed, never excessive. In contrast, leather and sharp tailoring introduced structure, grounding the collection in strength and intention. Trench coat elements evolved into dresses, tulle met leather in controlled opposition, and skirts emerged as a central point of expression, carrying both movement and purpose. The palette was deep and restrained. Shades of black and ivory formed the foundation, while ruby and aubergine added warmth without tipping into drama. Accessories followed the same philosophy: slouchy boots and flat ballerinas prioritised movement and realism, while velvet evening capes and discreet embellishments elevated the looks without overwhelming them. Tubular beading and feather accents appeared sparingly, offering texture rather than sparkle. What stood out most was the collection’s emotional restraint. Serafini’s vision did not rely on overt statements. Instead, it proposed a woman who dresses inwardly—her confidence instinctive, her presence assured. In a season where fashion often leans toward excess, Portrait of a Lady felt quietly radical in its refusal to perform. The significance of the moment was amplified by the presence of Alberta Ferretti, Vice President of the Aeffe Group, who attended the show alongside Serafini. Her presence marked more than a debut; it signalled a deliberate step into the region, recognising Dubai as an important voice within the global fashion conversation. From the venue to the pacing of the show, the opening night reflected Dubai Fashion Week’s growing maturity. There was a sense of balance—between international prestige and local ambition, between scale and substance. The audience, a mix of global industry figures, regional creatives, and fashion insiders, responded with attentiveness rather than frenzy. It was a show that invited looking closer. Dubai Fashion Week, co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council, continues to shape itself as more than a regional showcase. With each season, it asserts its place on the global calendar—not by imitation, but by offering a platform where diverse narratives can coexist. As the week progresses through 6 February, the schedule brings together a mix of international and regional voices, including CTRL+BLOCK x Mrs Keepa, NIG Global x London School of Trends, That Concept Store, Narma, and John Richmond. Yet it is Alberta Ferretti’s opening statement that lingers—a reminder that fashion’s most powerful moments are often the ones that arrive without announcement. Dubai Fashion Week AW26/27 did not open loudly. It opened with intention. And sometimes, that is exactly how lasting impressions are made. • Sushmita talks about SushDazzles, her YouTube channel

Sushmita talks about SushDazzles, her YouTube channel by Aparajita Jaiswal Sushmita talks about SushDazzles, her YouTube channel 1 October 2020 Advertisement In a freewheel chat with Aparajita Jaiswal, Sushmita, a beauty influencer reveals that she recently hit 100k subscribers on her YouTube channel, SushDazzles. She is an introvert, optimist and a perfectionist, working towards making her dreams come true. As she grows, Sushmita would like to advocate sustainable and vegan options for beauty and skincare products. Sushmita, born and bred in Kolkata, is a beauty influencer with her very own YouTube channel, SushDazzles. She grew very quickly and is celebrating as she recently hit 100k subscribers on her YouTube channel. Sushmita creates celebrity inspired makeup looks and does product reviews on her YouTube channel. She jump-started her career from modelling and then decided to commence her very own YouTube channel, embarking on an independent journey towards being a beauty influencer. “I can unmistakably say that my subscribers inspired me to recreate celebrity looks,” Sushmita says. “I initially started with everyday makeup looks except for one or two random celebrity looks from time to time.” A few videos later she started recreating celebrity-inspired looks using affordable drugstore products. “I noticed in the analytics that many of my subscribers were Gen-Z and were too young to afford high-end products,” Sushmita reveals. Sushmita’s viewers started loving these tutorials and found them extremely helpful and her channel quickly started becoming popular. Sushmita is a typical night owl. She finds the calmness of the night inspiring enough to work on her videos. “A typical day in the week would look like lots of editing and ample number of shoots. I tend to fit in my workout at least thrice a week.” In the last two years, Sushmita has worked with multiple renowned Indian as well as international brands, majority of which are Swedish, American and Korean. “My primary focus is to introduce cruelty free, vegan, plant based and sustainable products to my audience, so whenever there’s an opportunity for me to work with such brands, I gladly accept.” She has worked with quite a few renowned makeup artists from Kolkata as a model. “I used to enjoy the process of getting ready for the shoot and was amazed by their finesse and artistry. It was then that I took an interest in makeup. Next thing I knew, I was watching a lot of YouTube makeup videos. I became familiar with the makeup techniques and terminologies. And my interest kept growing. Meanwhile, I decided to quit my job and start my YouTube channel.” There are multiple things everyone should keep in mind while working in the tough industry of influencers and in the digital world. According to Sushmita, patience, hard work and passion pays off in the end. “Like any other creative field, the most important thing is patience. Then comes hard work and you need to have passion for what you do. You need to love what you are doing and not look at it as a job.” “When I started, I had no experience of creating digital content. The first time I saw the interface of my editing software I started crying and I swear I thought I couldn’t do it. Then I pushed myself because failure was not an option for me. I made innumerable mistakes and I learned a lot from them. I don’t think I would have done anything differently considering the knowledge I have gained from these experiences.” “Coming up with new content is always one of the most challenging parts of the job. Also, since I review a lot of new products, I always run a risk of using something that might not suit me and hence damage my skin.” The number one key to success in the business is to be yourself, Sushmita says. “There is no one like you and that’s your super power. You will find your tribe and people will love you for who you are. My family has been the pillar of strength for me. And I have been reading this book called ‘The untethered Soul’ which is all about the spiritual awakening and the path of spiritual consciousness. The book greatly influenced my strength as well.” Sushmita talks about failures in the most positive manner. “I don’t treat anything as a failure. I treat it as a learning curve. There are times when I do feel a little demotivated, and there are ups and downs, but that feeling is only momentary. Instead of feeling bad about it I start analysing what went wrong and make sure to do it differently in future.” Competition in this industry can get tough, especially on the mind. “The only competition I have is with my own self. What I create today should be better than what I created yesterday. However if things get tough, I take a break, meditate and it helps me re-evaluate the situation, try to see things from a different perspective. The rat race might overwhelm you sometimes. It’s important to set yourself in the right direction.” Sushmita affirms that there is no particular skincare routine she follows to make sure her skin stays healthy and glowing. She tries various products on her review videos therefore constantly changing the products that she uses. Other than the products she uses on her skin, there are a couple of things she constantly keeps in mind throughout the day when it comes to her skincare. “I wash my face twice a day, morning and night, and mainly focus on cleansing and moisturizing. I make sure to use a good moisturizer and sunscreen during the day and vitamin-C serum at night. Other than the basics, my diet takes care of the rest.” Sushmita is a very mindful shopper and plans way before she shops. “I pick a store and then go for it. My favourite high end brands are Smashbox and Huda Beauty. I always wanted to try Charlotte Tilbury. Although, I don’t have any brand that I can’t stand, I wish all brands were cruelty free and Vegan. As I grow, I would like to advocate sustainable and vegan options. Apart from makeup videos I have also created contents on mental health, body shaming, colour differentiating, depression and positivity. I want my audience to be confident about themselves. I wish to create meaningful content so that it adds value to their lives.” Sushmita’s Beauty Gurus are Chloe Morello and Kaushal Beauty. “I love Chloe’s quirkiness and Kaushal’s simplicity. I feel Taylor Hill, Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always have great makeup on. They always look very natural no matter how much makeup they have on. Their makeup is very glowy and dewy and very skin-like and that’s what I love!” When asked, what is the one item you would never leave your house without, she immediately replied, “I would have to say lip balm. I cannot live without a lip balm even for a second!” Sushmita is a huge Marvel fan and spends her time watching Netflix series or psychological thrillers when not held up with work. “I love watching The Big Bang Theory and Friends while having my lunch. • 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty

6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty by Akash Khatri 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty 1 October 2020 LIFESTYLE Advertisement “You look amazing” or “You look so pretty lucky you” Heard these often? If you belong to this category who has heard these kinds of lines a lot in her life from relatives to friends to colleagues then you know it too well that being very pretty is not a great thing or being lucky. Why? Because in the journey of life, you need to face a lot of problems just for being that little extra beautiful than the rest in your current circle. In this write up, I tried to discuss a few common problems that every pretty girl has faced in her life just for being pretty. Hope this would be relatable. Take a look below.. Less Female Friends :-Isn’t that obvious? We all know that “jealousy” is an inherent trait among girls. Well! Not all but most of the girls tend to fall in trap of that green monster whenever it comes to the outer appearance. Why? It’s simple. Because nobody wants to look a little lesser than the other. So, if you are the prettiest among all, probably you would tend to have less female friends. Accept it. No Introduction with Friend’s Partner :– More often than not girls always feel that if there is a better looking girl around them, then their boyfriend would probably end up having an affair with them. Like, seriously? Grow up..!! If your partner really loves you then no matter what, he will be with you and this much trust should be there in a couple. So, unfortunately if you are the better looking one than your girlfriend and if she is kind of insecure about her partner as well as her looks, then you have a bad news girl. You would probably never be introduced to her partner. Opinions & Invitations :– People would either have high opinions about you or they would talk shits. It’s either-or situation. Get it straight. When you are pretty and probably a little more than the rest then, either people would think that you are a snob and avoid inviting you to their parties and would prefer talking less to you. There will always be few unkind people who would bitch about you to make sure that you are not invited. Reason? They do not want others to pay attention to you, miss pretty face. As a result may be you would end up feeling left alone or lonely at times. But that is okay because they do not deserve your attention if they judge you. People are afraid to approach :– People will presume that you would anyways reject them so they never approach you in the first place. Even if they do, they would be really conscious around you that in no way make the equation comfortable for you. Love life:– In a commitment, great..! But God forbids if he looks average in comparison to you then he would always feel insecure about you. Because he would always feel that there is a possibility of you leaving him for better looking options, which might not be true. But, as he knows you are irresistible to look at, he would live in that constant fear of losing you. Consequences of this would not be great either as it would only complicate things between you and your partner. So, make sure you assure and reassure him about your commitment and love towards him. Less Friends of opposite gender :-Need friends but find none? Have you ever noticed that people always want to be your boyfriend and not just good friends? If yes, then you must know why. Who does not want to date a beautiful girl? But it is not mandatory that you would want them as partner, too. The moment you would reject their proposal they would abandon your friendship too (well mostly if not all). And as a result you end up having fewer friends from the opposite gender. Sad, but this is the harsh truth. It is not an universal theory but it happens a lot to pretty girls. Surely they can relate to few of the above discussed points. An advice to all the pretty girls out there, just be you and humble, the way you are. If you look great that definitely is not your fault. Just make sure you are a great person too because at the end that matters the most. Even if you see less people around you, don’t be upset because if people cannot appreciate the good in you and be your friend then it is their problem not yours. Remember, the person who is not perfect in his or her own way would always feel insecure and doubtful about their own existence and in return, they would be angry with you probably because they know your worth and are afraid to accept that truth. Just live your life and along the way you will surely find like-minded people who would embrace you without any hesitations and feelings of insecurities. Till then, be you, be beautiful, not only by outer appearance but from within too. Not for them, but for yourself. • Black Hole Theory

SOCIETY by Akash Khatri Black Hole Theory 1 October 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement If what happens beyond universe fascinates you then this article is for you! “Black Hole”, “Warm Hole” these are few of the scientific terms that recently became famous, thanks to the sci-fi series and films! But have you ever delved into the reality check of these theories? If not, no worries! We will be talking about the theories and facts related to Black hole right here in this article. “Black Hole” – the enigma that this term has! Who first predicted the “Black Hole” theory? The human genius Albert Einstein explained about the existence of “Black Hole” long back in 1916 in his work “General Theory of Relativity”. But he never named it as “Black Hole”. It was more of a prediction than a theory. Want to know a fun fact? Einstein himself never believed that such an object could exist in the outer space! Then who coined this name? It was American astronomer John Wheeler who coined the term “Black Hole” in the year 1967. But even till that time, nobody could find a trace of black hole. When we got know that black holes REALLY exist? The first ever black hole was discovered in the year 1971 and soon the world acknowledged the existence of black hole in real. What exactly is a Black Hole? Black hole is a densely compact object that does not let anything pass through it, even light. It has immense gravitational pull. Why this has so much of gravitational pull? When matter is squeezed into a tiny space it is bound to have such kind of gravitational pull! And black hole is a sheer black space in universe which can’t be seen with naked eyes. How black holes are formed? When a star runs out of fuel, it dies and gets converted into a “black hole. A space where only gravitational pull is left. No spark-No shine-No light! Are there only one kind of black hole? No, there are three kinds of black holes (discovered so far): 1. Steller Black Holes 2. Supermassive Black Holes 3. Intermediate Black Holes What did Stephen Hawking contribute about this topic Black Hole? In 1974, Stephen Hawking made a prediction that black holes eventually evaporate entirely (Though this theory is yet to be physically proved in real!!). Another interesting theory explained by Hawking is “Spaghettification”. This theory says, if by default, an object is trapped in a black hole then due to its exceptional gravitational pull the object would be stretched like a Spaghetti from head to toe, vertically! There is no end on the number of theories that this enigmatic topic has! #blackhole #Hawking #spaghettification #theories SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world?
