  • In Conversation And More With Payal Ghosh

In Conversation And More With Payal Ghosh by Anushka Sharma In Conversation And More With Payal Ghosh 11 March 2023 COVER STORIES Advertisement Accompanied with a vivacious personality and an appealing charm, Payal Ghosh is a class apart indeed. In a candid take on her life’s trajectory with us, we uncovered a lot that lies under the layers. Speaking of when she got her first break, she said, “I was just 17 when I got my first opportunity. I wasn't even out of college yet, I just went to accompany a friend to an audition and I got a movie Prayanam directed by a National Award winning director Mr. Yeleti. It was a fantastic experience.” Getting an opportunity at the age of 17 is definitely a God’s given bliss! Speaking of how she would describe her experience working in the South as well as Bollywood, she talks to us about how different the overall outlook is. She states, “They both are different. Down south they do a lot of pre-production work. This is not to say that Bollywood doesn't, but it's more abundant there. The shoots are also wrapped sooner down south. Bollywood is a different ballgame. The audience is wide and you are critiqued for everything that you do. As we unfurled a few topics on which one of her works is closest to her heart, she tells us that she cannot choose or pick a single project! “All of them. I can't differentiate between them. They are like my babies. I’ve worked so much that no work is big or less for me, I loved all my work and every artist should love every work of theirs.” Art is all about nourishing a metaphorical baby that feeds off your talent, after all! Speaking of her upcoming projects, she states, “One of them is Red which is completed with Krishna. It's a thriller. I have started working on "Shaque the doubt" which is also a thriller. The shooting commences in London soon. I’ve many more projects coming up to surprise the Audience and my fans.” When we asked Payal about this one piece of advice for the girls who are keen to join the industry, she tells us, “Be bold, be yourself and don't take the shortcut route. If you work hard enough for your dreams you'll surely make it. There is enough room for talent. Believe in yourself.” However, acting isn’t all that she’s known for. Payal has some slick sense of dressing as well. When asked about her fashion mantra, she tells us the key to knowing it all: Being yourself in whatever you wear, with confidence and happiness, only to never go wrong with it! As the conversation divulged into the topics of mental health, she has a rather interesting take on the entire subject. She states, “Do start with a goal for your mental health content. ... Do use credible sources. ... Do include the details on how to get in touch with professional help. ... Don't limit people's identities to their mental health.” Speaking of her views on body positivity, she tells us, “All body types are beautiful and deserve acceptance. Body positivity is guided by the understanding that feeling positive and accepting of appearance can improve mental health, reduce the risk of eating disorders, and allow someone to function at their best. Needless to say, this interview with Payal Ghosh was indeed a refreshing take on life, Bollywood and perspectives in general. In an exclusive interview, she shared her remarkable story, insights into the industry, and advice for aspiring influencers. The Beginning Of A Journey Nikita's foray into the world of digital content creation began quite unexpectedly. "I had done my degree in fashion designing and was working with a fashion designer. One day, she wanted to shoot for a brand and asked me to be the model. Initially, I was nervous, but as we shot more videos, I realized how much I loved it," she recalls. After leaving her job, Nikita decided to create her content. "I started getting brand collaborations, and over time, I understood how everything worked behind and in front of the camera." Personality Traits For Success When asked about the traits that drive success in this industry, Nikita believes it isn't about being an extrovert or introvert. "It's about how confident you are in front of the camera. There are introverts who are amazing on camera, even if they don't socialize much." To Aiming For Growth With the recent accolade of Micro- Influencer of the Year under her belt, Nikita is aiming high. "My goal is to be the best version of myself as a content creator, pushing myself to excel." While fashion is her comfort zone, she's open to exploring lifestyle and beauty content. Platform Preferences Discussing the most rewarding platforms, Nikita highlights YouTube for its monetization potential, unlike Instagram, which relies heavily on brand collaborations. "YouTube is a good platform for a career, but I believe in using multiple platforms like Instagram and Snapchat to reach a wider audience." All About The Challenges And The Rewards The digital landscape isn't without its challenges. "Shooting and editing can cause headaches and eye strain. Payment issues with brands are also common," she shares. To mitigate these issues, Nikita insists on written agreements outlining payment terms and is prepared to take action if these are not met. An Advice For The Aspiring Influencers For those looking to follow in her footsteps, Nikita's advice is clear: "Be unique and creative. Don't copy others. It takes time and patience to build a following. You need to invest in good equipment and be prepared for a lot of hard work." While she wasn't on TikTok during its availability in India, her journey started two and a half years ago and has been transformative. "I've become so confident and feel like a different person now." • Suhani Kapoor On Dancing Through The Challenges And Defying The Digital Norms

Suhani Kapoor On Dancing Through The Challenges And Defying The Digital Norms LIFESTYLE Suhani Kapoor On Dancing Through The Challenges And Defying The Digital Norms by Akshra Khandelwal 26 August 2023 Advertisement In a world dominated by pixels and screens, where the allure of the camera's lens can shape destinies and inspire millions, we had the privilege of sitting down with the vibrant and determined influencer Suhani Kapoor. Amidst the hustle of her college life and the unrelenting demands of content creation, Suhani welcomed us into her world, sharing her creative journey, motivations, and aspirations. As we exchanged pleasantries, Suhani's genuine warmth set the tone for our conversation. "I am doing good," she smiled, "I feel blessed and grateful for everything." A statement that resonated with her followers, as her journey to becoming an influencer has been nothing short of remarkable. Sipping on her tea, Suhani began her creative narrative. "Being in front of the camera always excited me," she recalled, a twinkle in her eye. "During my childhood, I recorded myself doing anything and everything, speaking my heart out and dancing in front of the camera." The seeds of her future as an influencer were sown early, nurtured by her intrinsic love for self-expression. The pivotal moment arrived when Suhani discovered the app "musically," now known as TikTok. "I started making videos randomly, never expecting anything, but gradually gaining many followers," she reminisced. By the time TikTok was banned in India in 2019, Suhani had already amassed a following of 300k. Unfazed by the setback, she shifted her focus to Instagram and began creating reels, steadily building a new audience. But the journey could have been smoother. Suhani shared the heartache of waking up one day to find her Instagram account hacked or deleted. "I tried to regain that account for months but could never get it back." Undeterred, she started anew, and within two years, she had garnered over 100k followers. Her determination to inspire others through creativity remained undiminished. "If you could have any superpower, what would it be?" we asked. Suhani's response revealed the empathetic core of her being. "I would choose to end the negativity and hate humans have for each other," she said. Her wish to dispel the darkness resonated deeply, reflecting the profound impact cyberbullying and negativity can have on individuals. "As a creator, I receive a lot of hate daily for what I do," Suhani shared candidly. "And I know that even a person not into content creation also goes through hate in real life." Her superpower, a testament to her resilience and compassion, highlighted the pressing need for kindness and understanding in the digital age. Curious about the woman behind the camera, we asked about a typical day in Suhani's life. Her response was refreshingly relatable. "A typical day in my life would look like getting up at 8, then getting ready for college." The routine of a college student was coupled with the unique demands of an influencer's life. After college, Suhani finds solace in her interactions with loved ones. "Giving my mom some tea about the day, playing and petting Buddy (my pet)." The simple moments ground her in the whirlwind. The role of friends, family, and personal reflection is pivotal, emphasising the balance between her digital persona and her true self. Navigating the tumultuous teenage years, Suhani spoke about her sources of motivation. "Sometimes, I feel unmotivated and anxious when my days are not going well or too hectic." Her vulnerability highlighted the challenges influencers, particularly young ones, face in managing multiple responsibilities. Yet, the uplifting messages from her followers keep her going. "I open my Instagram DMs and find so many people loving and supporting me for what I do; that really makes me feel blessed and cheered up." Her parents, too, stand as pillars of strength, supporting her journey to become the best version of herself. As our conversation flowed, Suhani shared a glimpse of her career's most cherished milestones. One that stood out was her debut as the main lead in the music video "Mann Aasmaani Hua." The opportunity to star in her first-ever song album was a testament to the power of her loyal followers. Another milestone was the offer to lead a television show on a prestigious channel, underscoring her rising influence in the industry. Before we bid adieu, we asked Suhani for a message she'd like to share with the world. Her words were a testament to her authenticity and her unyielding optimism. "My message to the world would be, JUST BE YOURSELF. And also enjoy it to the fullest because we all have just one life, and we all should be grateful for everything." Her parting advice encapsulated the essence of her journey: "Believe in yourself no matter how difficult the times are. You do you. Don't care about the world; if something makes you happy, do it." As we wrapped up our conversation, Suhani Kapoor's story of resilience, creativity, and the unwavering pursuit of self-expression remained etched. With her positivity and determination, Suhani inspires countless individuals to embrace their true selves and navigate life's challenges gracefully. • Veganism On The Rise: What You Need To Know

Veganism On The Rise: What You Need To Know LIFESTYLE Veganism On The Rise: What You Need To Know by Rupashree Ravi 3 August 2022 Advertisement Veganism has been a growing movement in many countries for a long time now. As it is slowly entering the mainstream ways of living and becoming more common, research on vegan diets and lifestyles is being done to know more about their benefits as well as their risks. Today, an increasing number of families and teens are turning vegan due to health, animal welfare, and environmental reasons. But whatever the reason may be, it is important to take a look at your physical requirements and personal beliefs before you begin. “Being vegan can mean different choices for different people. For some, it is a strict dietary choice while for others it is a compassionate lifestyle.” Traditional Indian dishes are usually vegan; meat and dairy-free Made up of only plant-based products, a vegan diet avoids everything animal food-related, including products and by-products like meat, dairy, eggs, and honey. They are low in saturated fats and rich in nutrients. Its health benefits include stabilizing weight, enhancing the heart, reducing the risk of diabetes, and defending against cancer. If planned well, a vegan diet can provide a wide range of essential vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and protein as well. On the other hand, those who incorporate a strict vegan lifestyle do not use any kind of animal product in any form, be it fabric or fashion. They eliminate using or wearing silk, wool, leather, fur, and even soaps or cosmetics made out of animal products. People who are mindful of a sustainable environment usually follow this kind of lifestyle. When it comes to veganism, people follow it to different extents. A number of vegans go for the healthiest alternatives in their diet. In a typical Indian household, dairy products like ghee, paneer, yogurt, etc. which are high in calcium, are consumed on a regular basis. To switch them to vegan alternatives, one can go for non-dairy products like tofu, chickpeas, broccoli, and lentils, which are plant sources of calcium. Lentils are also a great source of vegan protein. Some studies suggest that vegans have the lowest intake of calcium. To tackle this, many alterna-milks like soy milk and almond milk, which are fortified with calcium and vitamin D can be consumed. Moreover, adding plenty of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and seeds to your diet will provide important vitamins and minerals. Plant-based milks and a plethora of fruits and veggies that are high in protein, calcium, and fibre are consumed There is also a thin line between veganism and vegetarianism. Veganism is seen as a stricter form of vegetarianism and more of a lifestyle movement than a dietary one. It’s important to know that while a vegan diet is healthy overall, with benefits like lowering cholesterol and blood pressure among many, it comes with the risks of short-changing you on a few nutrients like Vitamin B12, which is found only in animal products. You may need a supplement to make up for what you don't get from your diet. You can start slow by following trends like Veganuary, where you can go vegan for a month. Or go vegetarian and then slowly move on to a vegan diet. Look up healthier alternatives to meat and dairy and follow a balanced diet. If you are morally passionate about the environment and animal welfare, live a vegan lifestyle by shopping for vegan clothing retailers. You can be a part of the movement in small, but significant ways. In the end, make your call towards an alternative way of living. #Veganism #Vegan #HealthyLifestyle #VeganDiet #Fitness SEARCH Ankita Malik: Empowering Change And Embracing Authenticity LIFESTYLE Juggling Two Worlds: The Inspiring Journey Of Kritika Goel LIFESTYLE Juggling Law And Fashion: The Inspirational Journey Of Riddhi Nahata, A Multifaceted Influencer LIFESTYLE Nikita Pawar: From Fashion Design To Digital Stardom LIFESTYLE Join Shruti Yogi On Her Enchanting Journey From Kumkum Bhagya To Wanderlust Saga LIFESTYLE POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Sakshi Shah Luxury, Beauty & Everything In Between — The Ultimate Mother’s Day Edit 10 May 2026 LIFESTYLE By Sakshi Shah A Matter Of Time: Tag Heuer In Project Hail Mary 12 March 2026 LIFESTYLE By Sakshi Shah The Modern Rituals Of Wellbeing 20 February 2026 LIFESTYLE By Anurag Sen Ferrari Luce And The Beauty Of Doing Less 12 February 2026 LIFESTYLE RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement

  • Neon Nights And Yellow Lights: The Sonic World Of Natania Lalwani

Neon Nights And Yellow Lights: The Sonic World Of Natania Lalwani By Shriniwas Kodape Neon Nights And Yellow Lights: The Sonic World Of Natania Lalwani 30 April 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement I’ve always believed that music — the good kind, the gut-punch kind — is made by people who don’t quite belong anywhere. People with one foot in the door, one foot out on the fire escape, ready to bolt the minute the conversation gets boring. And somewhere out there in that beautifully disoriented space lives Natania Lalwani . Now, here’s a voice that doesn’t just drift through your headphones. No, this is the kind of voice that crawls up the back of your neck, plants itself in your bloodstream, and stays there. It’s not clean, it’s not tidy, and thank god for that. It’s jagged, restless, dipped in heartbreak and late-night neon, like a love letter you’re too afraid to send. Born in the buzzing chaos of Mumbai and living under the hazy sun-bleached sprawl of Los Angeles, Natania’s music exists in a place where maps don’t work. You can try to pin her down with genre labels, diaspora clichés, Spotify playlist tags — go ahead, the industry certainly has — but she’ll slip through your fingers every damn time. And that, dear reader, is exactly why we wanted her in this issue. We live in a time when too many artists are pre-packaged, algorithm-approved, made for TikTok virality, and 30-second hooks. Everything is safe, synthetic, and sterilized for mass consumption. But Natania’s work? It bleeds. It bruises. It sounds like somebody is still chasing the ghost of their younger self down rain-slick streets. Her track “Gulzar” isn’t just a song — it’s a mood, a state of mind, the soundtrack to those hazy, half-remembered conversations with people you’ll probably never see again. Pro Tip: Don’t play “Gulzar” when you’re trying to be emotionally numb. It has a way of cracking something open in you — making you feel like you’ve stumbled onto the closing scene of a film you didn’t know you were starring in. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. What gets me — what always gets me — is that she’s not trying to be anything other than what she is. A woman caught between cities, between identities, between the version of herself the world expects and the one she’s still figuring out. And she’s making art in that blurred space, turning confusion into melody, fear into rhythm. That’s not just music. That’s survival. Before the label deals, the TV soundtracks , the ad campaigns and the Spotify checks, it was just her — a girl in her bedroom with a guitar, a laptop, and a head full of sounds no one else could hear yet. That’s the stuff we should be chasing. The raw, unfinished, stubbornly personal things. The kind of music you play alone at night, long after the city’s gone to sleep, when it’s just you and whatever ghosts you haven’t managed to shake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RroQRrzymEg This feature isn’t here to slap a ‘next big thing’ sticker on her. Screw that. It’s here because in a year where everything feels engineered and overproduced, Natania Lalwani reminds us that some things still come from the gut, from the dark, from the unlit corners of our heads where the good stories hide. Side Note: If you’re wondering why we’re so obsessed with this " gut instinct " thing, it’s because in a world where everyone’s selling something, it’s the only thing that’s still free. She’s not just making Indian pop music. Or LA indie pop. Or cross-cultural, genre-bending “content.” She’s making Natania music . And that’s exactly what we need. So raise a glass, light a cigarette, put on the record, whatever your vice — and listen closely. • Lakshadweep Is A Heaven In Disguise And Here Is Why

By Anushka Sharma TRAVEL Lakshadweep Is A Heaven In Disguise And Here Is Why By Anushka Sharma 3 April 2024 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Hey there, island explorers! Ever heard of Lakshadweep? It's like a hidden treasure chest in the Indian Ocean, full of amazing surprises! Picture this: turquoise waters, colorful coral reefs, and sandy beaches that feel like fluffy pillows for your feet. Lakshadweep is not just one island, but a whole bunch of them – 36 to be exact! Each one has its own special vibe, like having a different flavor of ice cream every day. So, what makes Lakshadweep so special? Let's start with the beaches. Oh, the beaches! With their soft, white sand and crystal-clear waters, they're like something out of a postcard. Whether you're a beach bum who loves to laze in the sun or a water baby who can't wait to dive into the waves, Lakshadweep has a beach for you. But it's not just about sunbathing and swimming – although those are definitely two of the main attractions. Lakshadweep is also a mecca for water sports enthusiasts. From snorkeling and scuba diving to kayaking and windsurfing, there's no shortage of adrenaline-pumping activities to try. Let's talk about snorkeling, shall we? Strap on your mask and flippers and get ready to dive into a world of wonder beneath the waves. The coral reefs around Lakshadweep are teeming with life – colorful fish, graceful sea turtles, and even the occasional dolphin or whale shark if you're lucky! It's like swimming in a giant aquarium, except you're part of the show. And speaking of coral reefs, did you know that Lakshadweep is known as the Coral Islands? That's because it's home to some of the most beautiful coral formations in the world. As you explore the underwater wonderland, you'll be amazed by the vibrant colors and intricate shapes of the coral gardens that stretch as far as the eye can see. But Lakshadweep isn't just about what's under the sea – it's also about what's on land. The islands are home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna, from towering coconut palms to exotic birds and butterflies. And let's not forget about the friendly locals, who are always eager to share their island paradise with visitors. One of the best things about Lakshadweep is that it's still relatively undiscovered. Unlike some other tourist hotspots, you won't find crowded beaches or overdeveloped resorts here. Instead, you'll have plenty of space to roam free and soak up the natural beauty of the islands. So, whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or a little bit of both, Lakshadweep has something for everyone. Pack your bags, grab your sunscreen, and get ready for the trip of a lifetime. Fashion is often used by people to build up their unique identity in the outside world, an exclusive part of them that represents who they're as a person and their creative identity. Women have always played a significant role in evolving distinctive fashion styles and often became major trendsetters. Like any other part of the world India also carries its unique fashion statements and many Lady Icons who were acknowledged for their exceptional styles and fits, not only by their mother nation but also by many other global magazines. Here are listed 4 women who became prominent characters of the fashion industry and influenced it massively and limitlessly even in the 20th century, the era when there were many limits to the rights of women. 1. Maharani Indira Devi of Cooch, Behar (1892-1968) Born on 19 February 1892 and initially known as Princess Indira Raje, Maharani Indira Devi was the only daughter of Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda and his second wife Maharani Chimnabai. Indira Devi was the mother of 5 children and became a widow almost a decade after her marriage and ended up becoming the Regent of Cooch, Behar due to the minority of her eldest son, prince Jagaddipendra Narayan. Growing up in the palatial halls of Laxmi Vilas Palace in Baroda, Maharani Indira Devi was an avid enthusiast of chiffon sarees embellished with delicate zardozi, gota, pearl, and gold embroidery. She made the trend of wearing silk chiffon saris, a royal statement. Which till today is followed in full glory. Maharani Indira Devi’s unparalleled elegance and unique fashion flair are a source of inspiration for numerous fashion brands, even today. She was known very well known for her keen eyes for fashion, beauty, and glamour all over the globe. She even became a leading figure in Anglo-Indian society. Salvatore Ferragamo is known to be her favorite designer. 2. She was widely regarded as one of the most beautiful princesses of her country, and a glamorous woman of her day. When she was just 19 years of age, Vogue magazine called her a “secular goddess” and at the age of 22, Look magazine named her one of the five best ladies on the planet. She soon became the inspiration and muse of many top photographers and fashion designers of the world. Sita Devi's preferred couture was Mainbocher who was more famously known for designing the wedding dress of Wallis Simpson when she married the Duke of Windsor. Mainbocher was commissioned by the Queen to design chiffon saris and fur coats. In early 1939, at Lady Mendl's tea in honor of the Hollywood dietitian, Gayelord Hauser, Sita Devi was listed among the twelve most glamorous women in the world. Elsa Schiaparelli created her 1935 collection of evening gowns based on Maharani’s saris. She still firmly is known as a legendary fashion icon in India and she'll always be. 3. • Puma Speedcat Ignites Again With Rosé At The Wheel

Puma Speedcat Ignites Again With Rosé At The Wheel By Ananya Patankar Puma Speedcat Ignites Again With Rosé At The Wheel 25 July 2025 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement K-pop icon Rosé leads the charge in PUMA’s latest Speedcat release—a dynamic fusion of retro racing spirit and modern street energy. Rosé lends her cool intensity to the PUMA Speedcat’s latest evolution—where a pale blue palette and racing roots collide in a silhouette made for modern icons. There are shoes that walk, and then there are shoes that wait to launch. Enter the PUMA Speedcat, a cult silhouette forged from motorsport DNA and resurrected once more, this time with the quiet power of K-pop star Rosé . In its latest iteration, the Speedcat doesn’t just make a comeback, it revs to life in a fresh pale blue colorway, punctuated with a flash of fierce orange, and a whole lot of attitude. Launched July 24, 2025, this drop marks yet another thrilling chapter in the Speedcat’s legacy, a shoe that first drew breath on the race circuit and now tears through streetwear culture with unapologetic ease. It’s lean, low-profile, and engineered for edge. Think: retro pit-lane cool meets future-forward styling. Rosé, a longtime PUMA muse and master of understated glam, once again takes the wheel in the brand’s visuals. But these aren't high-speed action shots. They’re slow-burning, simmering scenes. There’s a growling muscle car, a flicker of flame-red reflections, and Rosé sitting still, yet somehow brimming with momentum. It’s a cinematic expression of what the Speedcat stands for: power in repose, elegance poised to explode. The color story furthers the duality. That soft blue upper reads almost serene, until the orange Formstrip slices through like a bolt of speed. It's a nod to the shoe’s motorsport heritage, but it also feels distinctly contemporary. The kind of color combo that glides from tarmac to terrazzo café floor without missing a beat. What makes this drop desirable isn’t just its aesthetic, it’s the aura it exudes. The Speedcat isn’t trying to be trendy; it is timeless. And yet, with Rosé lending her quiet fire to the campaign, it becomes something more. A wearable contradiction: cool yet charged, graceful yet grounded, a shoe that speaks even in stillness. Available now on PUMA.com , flagship stores, and selected retailers, this release is less about speed and more about style that simmers. Whether you’re a motorsport devotee, a Rosé fan, or someone with an eye for silhouette and statement, the Speedcat is your signal flare. Because the real power moves? Is knowing when to stay still—and when to ignite.
