- Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026
Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026 By Anurag Sen Porsche Unveils The Next Generation 911 Cup: Precision, Power, And Purpose For 2026 24 August 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement There’s an unmistakable presence when a Porsche 911 lines up on the grid: the low, assertive stance, the unmistakable cry of its naturally aspirated flat-six, and the way it demands commitment from anyone behind the wheel. For 2026, Porsche has sharpened that character even further, revealing the 992.2-based evolution of the world’s most celebrated one-make racer, a car designed not to change its DNA, but to elevate it. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car has long been the heartbeat of the Porsche Carrera Cup championships and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup , building a legacy on reliability, drivability, and precision engineering. This new iteration builds on that winning formula with targeted refinements that aim to make it faster, more consistent, and more rewarding over the course of a season. At its heart remains the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, a masterpiece of mechanical honesty now tuned to deliver sharper throttle response and broader power delivery. The output remains at a formidable 510 PS, but Porsche’s engineers have focused on fine-tuning drivability, ensuring racers can extract peak performance lap after lap without sacrificing mechanical sympathy. The six-speed sequential gearbox, operated via steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, returns with updates for quicker, cleaner shifts, marrying durability with precision. Aerodynamics take a leap forward for 2026. Discrete turning vanes hidden behind the wheel arches guide airflow with greater precision, working in tandem with a reshaped underbody that enhances stability when the brakes bite hard. At the rear, a new swan-neck mounted rear wing offers broader adjustability, giving teams the ability to tailor downforce to track conditions without disrupting the car’s finely balanced handling. The net result is a car that feels planted in high-speed corners yet alive in the driver’s hands. Suspension geometry has been subtly reworked to improve mechanical grip, particularly in slow- to medium-speed corners where tenths are often found. Revised damper tuning and reinforced components promise improved feedback without compromising the Cup car’s well-earned reputation for resilience in the heat of competition. New generation Michelin racing slicks developed in parallel with the chassis updates promise better warm-up characteristics and longer peak performance windows. Inside, the 2026 Cup car blends purpose with comfort in the way only Porsche Motorsport can manage. The FIA-compliant safety cage remains a central element, but the seating position has been fine-tuned for better ergonomics and sightlines. A new multi-function display provides clearer telemetry and data readouts, ensuring drivers have instant access to crucial performance information mid-lap. The 992.2 GT3 Cup will make its competitive debut in the 2026 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup before filtering into the Carrera Cup series across the globe. This rollout strategy mirrors the car’s development process, rigorous, global, and laser-focused on ensuring the car is as adaptable to street circuits as it is to fast, flowing tracks. In a motorsport landscape that is constantly evolving, the new 911 Cup remains a purist’s delight: unapologetically mechanical, beautifully engineered, and built to reward commitment. It’s a car that doesn’t just race it continues to teach the art of precision driving, one corner at a time. - The Spa At The Urban Wellness Centre: Four Seasons Bangkok’s Sanctuary Where The Body Forgets The Noise
The Spa At The Urban Wellness Centre: Four Seasons Bangkok’s Sanctuary Where The Body Forgets The Noise By Shriniwas Kodape The Spa At The Urban Wellness Centre: Four Seasons Bangkok’s Sanctuary Where The Body Forgets The Noise 4 September 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Bangkok can chew you up. It’s a magnificent kind of chaos, sacred, sweaty, addictive, but it gets under your skin. The tuk-tuks buzz like caffeine shots, street vendors yell in every direction, and even the sunsets feel like they’re trying to sell you something. By day three, I was running on fumes, smelling faintly of lemongrass and regret. That’s when I walked into The Spa at the Urban Wellness Centre at the Four Seasons. No fluorescent lighting. No fake fountains. Just stillness. Cool marble floors, warm smiles, and a cup of something herbal I didn’t bother identifying. It tasted like surrender. I wasn’t looking for a spa day. I wanted to be put back together. The Spa isn’t a wellness center trying to be cool. It doesn’t hand you a clipboard and ask how “stressed” you are on a scale of 1 to 10. It watches. It listens. And then, it quietly goes to work. They call it the Urban Wellness Centre , but that doesn’t quite cover it. It’s a sanctuary carved out of one of the loudest cities in the world. A massive space of calm with soaring ceilings, indoor gardens, and a vitality zone that includes hot and cold plunge pools, herbal steam rooms, and a rain shower that falls like forgiveness. I stripped out of the city and into a cotton robe that fit better than half my wardrobe. My therapist, a woman with eyes like she’s seen 1,000 broken backs and fixed 999 of them, greeted me with a soft bow. She asked me one question: “What are you holding on to?” I didn’t know. But I was about to find out. The 90-minute Four Seasons Signature Massage wasn’t a massage. It was a conversation between muscle and memory. She used elbows, bamboo sticks, warm herbal compresses, and at one point, something I can only describe as ancient wizardry. My spine clicked into place. My breath slowed. The city melted off me like old wax. There were moments I drifted. Not into sleep, but somewhere beyond it. A place without notifications. A place without needing to be anywhere else. And it didn’t stop there. I wandered into a sound therapy room afterward. Bamboo walls, soft mats, and a bowl that sang when stroked. The sound wrapped around me, low and slow, until I couldn’t tell where it ended and I began. I floated out like I’d been reset. Everything about the Spa is intentional. Not flashy. Not performative. Just right. The bath oils don’t scream of lavender and cliché. The showers are carved from stone and shadow. There’s even a 3-hour Signature Ritual that starts with a body scrub and ends with your soul asking for a cigarette. I met a woman on the way out, dressed in all white, sipping on ginger tea like it was a martini. She smiled and said, “Second time this week. I live across town but it’s the only place that feels like the city forgot to follow me in.” I got it. Completely. I’ve been to spas that felt like they were trying too hard. Whale music, overpriced cucumber water, therapists who treat you like a to-do list. This wasn’t that. The Spa treated me like a person, not a customer. A person who needed quiet. A person who didn’t realize how loud everything had gotten until it stopped. On the way out, I stood at the edge of the inner courtyard. Wind brushed past the water garden. Somewhere, a bell chimed. My shoulders were lower. My jaw, unclenched. My body, lighter. Not healed completely. But I was reminded. The world outside was still spinning fast. But for a moment, inside those walls, I remembered how to be still. And that? That’s the kind of therapy no app can deliver. - Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s Iconic Celebration Of December
Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s Iconic Celebration Of December By Shriniwas Kodape Mood Indigo, IIT Bombay’s Iconic Celebration Of December 14 December 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement Every winter, something extraordinary happens at IIT Bombay. The campus quietly sheds its academic rhythm and steps into something far more alive. Music spills into corridors. Open lawns turn into dance floors. Conversations begin with strangers and end as friendships. This transformation has a name that carries decades of memory and madness. Mood Indigo 2025 . From 16th to 18th December, IIT Bombay will once again become a living celebration of youth culture. Thousands of students from across India and beyond will gather not just to attend a festival but to live inside it. Mood Indigo is not about watching from the sidelines. It is about participation. It is about showing up as you are and leaving with stories you will carry for years. What sets Mood Indigo apart is its soul. It remains completely free for college students, a rare and powerful statement in today’s festival landscape. Here, access is not bought. It is earned by curiosity, creativity, and the simple desire to belong. MI feels like a reminder of what youth culture is meant to be. Open. Inclusive. Fearlessly expressive. What began in 1971 as a modest campus celebration has grown into Asia’s largest college cultural festival. Over five decades, Mood Indigo has become more than an annual event. It has evolved into a legacy. A space where generations of students have discovered their voice. A platform where artists connected with audiences long before the world knew their names. A place where memories outlast degrees. Walking through Mood Indigo feels like entering a parallel city. One where fashion is personal and experimental. One where conversations flow easily and nights stretch endlessly. One where every corner offers something unexpected. From high energy cultural competitions and street performances to design showcases, art installations, and interactive zones, creativity is not curated. It simply exists everywhere. Mood Indigo 2025 promises to take that experience even further with a lineup that speaks directly to the pulse of this generation while honoring nostalgia. Taking center stage this year is Sonu Nigam. His voice carries decades of emotion and collective memory. A Sonu Nigam performance at MI is not just a concert. It is a shared moment where thousands sing together, smile together, and feel something deeply familiar. Adding an international touch is Dhruv, the global indie pop artist whose music resonates with young audiences across the world. His presence reflects MI’s global outlook and its ability to connect cultures through sound. Hip hop lovers are in for a thrill with Seedhe Maut and Karma, bringing raw energy, sharp lyricism, and unapologetic honesty to the stage. For those drawn to musical depth and soul, The Anand Bhaskar Collective offers rich fusion sounds that blend tradition with modern expression. Chaar Diwari brings an experimental edge that challenges comfort zones and expectations. And when the night calls for something spiritual, Bismil’s sufi performance promises a powerful pause. A moment of stillness amid the chaos. As the lights grow brighter and the tempo rises, Belgian EDM artist Romeo Blanco will take over, turning the campus into a high energy playground of sound and movement. These nights at Mood Indigo are not meant to be remembered quietly. They are meant to be felt fully. Beyond music, Mood Indigo carries the excitement of cinema, storytelling, and laughter. Bollywood stars including Rakul Preet Singh, Pulkit Samrat, Vicky Kaushal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Archana Puran Singh, and Kavitha Seth will be making appearances, adding glamour without distance. These moments feel intimate, unscripted, and human. Just like MI itself. Comedy finds its space too, with Rahul Subramanian delivering laughter filled sets that cut through stress and seriousness with ease. At Mood Indigo, even laughter feels collective. What truly defines Mood Indigo is not just who performs or who attends. It is how it makes people feel. It gives students a space to express themselves without judgment. It allows talent to be celebrated loudly. It reminds everyone that creativity thrives when freedom exists. So mark your calendars and gather your friends. From 16th to 18th December, IIT Bombay is where December finds its rhythm. Register now at moodi.org and follow @iitbombay.moodi on Instagram for updates and announcements. Mood Indigo is not just a festival you attend. It is a feeling you carry back with you. - Sky Bar By Lebua, State Tower: Where The City Pauses And The Sky Pours Back
Sky Bar By Lebua, State Tower: Where The City Pauses And The Sky Pours Back By Shriniwas Kodape Sky Bar By Lebua, State Tower: Where The City Pauses And The Sky Pours Back 28 July 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement The elevator ride felt like a confession. Not the kind you make with words—but the kind your body makes when it realizes it’s rising too fast for your nerves to catch up. Sixty-four floors up in Bangkok, gravity takes a step back and lets you walk into something impossible. And then, the door opens. You don’t walk into Sky Bar By Lebua , State Tower—you emerge into it. There’s no transition. No warm-up. Just you, the skyline, and a bar glowing orange like it was ripped out of a Ridley Scott film and dropped onto the edge of the earth. It should be chaotic. But it’s not. It’s curated. Controlled. Calm, in a way only places that know they’re the center of the universe can afford to be. To your right, the golden dome glints under the moonlight like something holy.To your left, Bangkok spills out beneath you—rivers, towers, heat, and movement. But up here? It’s quiet. A whisper wrapped in neon. And dead center: the bar. Sky Bar by Lebua, State Tower isn’t just one of the highest rooftop bars in the world—it’s a character in its own story. A bar with credits in a Hollywood blockbuster (The Hangover Part II), a signature cocktail born from that film’s chaos, and a reputation that hangs heavy with altitude and attitude. You ask for the Hangovertini —because how could you not? Gin. Green tea vermouth. A swirl of rosemary honey and crisp apple. It tastes like someone distilled the memory of your wildest night and then dared you to drink it before making the same mistakes all over again. The LED-lit counter pulses around you—colors shift every ninety seconds: violet, orange, emerald. It makes your drink look like it’s in costume. It makes everyone around you look cooler than they probably are. It makes your heartbeat line up with the light. The crowd is a cocktail of its own—stylish couples with cameras, solo travelers nursing silence, influencers chasing golden hour, and then someone like you: in it, but not quite of it. You take a sip. The breeze catches your collar. The bar staff doesn’t pitch you anything—they offer. A tequila cocktail kissed with burnt orange and smoked vanilla. Then something mezcal-forward with roasted pineapple and a chili foam that lingers like a memory you don’t want to admit you miss. These aren’t just drinks. They’re declarations. Each one crafted with the precision of a watchmaker. Each one balanced for altitude, not ego. Thai herbs and citrus oils. Global spirits with Bangkok’s pulse running through them. There’s no menu for this part of the night—just trust and glassware. The bartenders don’t serve—they compose. And they don’t ask if you like it. They already know you do. There’s no food here. No distractions. Just drink and view. You lean against the edge. The rail is glass. The city below looks like it’s dancing. Someone’s laughing too loud. Someone else just proposed. And somewhere, far beneath it all, tuk-tuks still scream and street food still sizzles. But none of that touches you here. Because this isn’t the Bangkok of chaos. This is the Bangkok that floats. That glows. That lets you breathe. You look down. You look up. You order another. And then you remember: this is where they shot the scene. The wolfpack. The aftermath. The myth of the lost night. But here’s the truth the movie didn’t tell you— Sky Bar by Lebua, State Tower doesn’t give you a hangover. It gives you clarity. It doesn’t get you drunk. It gets you honest. Because somewhere between your second drink and your third silence, you start to realize—this place wasn’t built for hype. It was built for you. The version of you that wanted to taste what it feels like to be suspended in the sky. The one that needed to stand still while the world kept spinning below. The one that didn’t come looking for a drink—but found one that said, “I know who you are.” And that’s the thing about Sky Bar. You don’t just leave with a buzz. You leave remembering how to feel small, tall, and alive—at the same damn time. - Reflecting on Our World’s Billionaires Despite Corona
SOCIETY By Aparajita Jaiswal Reflecting on Our World’s Billionaires Despite Corona 27 July 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The coronavirus has hit the global economy hard and that includes even the richest people in the world. Forbes recently published its annual list of billionaires and found that the number of billionaires has dropped significantly because of the pandemic. Even among those still on the list, more than half saw their wealth decrease since the pandemic. There were 2,095 billionaires on the list when it was finalized on March 18, according to the business website. That was 58 fewer billionaires than last year and 226 fewer than at the beginning of the month, Forbes reported. Of course, with the markets in flux because of the coronavirus, each billionaire’s net worth also fluctuates depending on the day. Despite this, Jeff Bezos, 56, still stands to be the richest man in the world, despite transferring a quarter of his Amazon stake to his ex-wife MacKenzie last summer, according to Forbes. He was worth $113 billion on March 18. Coronavirus has led Jeff Bezos to donate $100M to feed hungry Americans. Bezos’ gift was the largest single donation Feeding America has ever received. “Today, I want to support those on the front lines at our nation’s food banks and those who are relying on them for food with a $100 million gift to @FeedingAmerica,” Bezos wrote on Instagram. Despite the plight of the world and the ongoing economic effect of the coronavirus crisis, billionaires in the U.S. have seen their wealth increase by over $406 billion in the past month. Other billionaires who have seen their wealth grow amid the pandemic include Tesla CEO Elon Musk — also by nearly $10 billion since January 1. In that time, Zoom founder Eric Yuan has added $3.5 billion to his net worth at $7.4 billion, thanks to the popularity of his video conferencing software in lockdown. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has added more than $4 billion to his fortune. #JeffBezosBezosCoronavirusInstagramTeslaTeslaCEOElonMuskElonMuskMacKenzieZoomfounderEricYuanFormerMicrosoftCEOSteveBallmerBillionForbesPandemicWealthBillionaireFeedingAmerica SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? - Not a beach body, but a fit body
Not a beach body, but a fit body by Raunak Singh Hooda Not a beach body, but a fit body 1 June 2021 LIFESTYLE Advertisement “A sound body keeps a sound mind.” We hear this saying so often around us, this is what our parents, school teachers, and elders tell us when they need to emphasize the importance of exercise in our lives. So let’s try to understand what this means. In today’s fast-paced world, where productivity and profit are given the highest priority, and general well-being takes a backseat in light of extreme capitalism, it is imperative that people become more aware of how their body functions, and why it is necessary to keep it fit. The first and foremost cause of physical deterioration of the body lies in the mental state of a person. With many social media platforms growing increasingly toxic, a large number of people today are facing mental health issues that are deep-rooted, and these are primarily hurting the physical well-being of these people. Exercise has been found to be one of the major protectors of a person’s mental well-being. Exercise improves mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood, and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal. Lack of exercise also has a cause-effect relationship with obesity. A lack of proper exercise causes it, and a lack of proper exercise is also induced by it. In 2019, an estimated 38.2 million children under the age of five were found to be suffering from obesity. Why it is a problem is because raised BMI is a major risk factor for noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal disorders(especially osteoarthritis), and even some forms of cancer. Regular physical exercise increases people’s energy expenditure, which can help them stay in energy balance, and even lose weight, as long as they don’t overcompensate for the number of calories burned during the exercise period. Physical exercise also decreases the fat around the waist and total body fat, hence slowing down the advancement of abdominal obesity. Exercise also helps to lower the blood cholesterol levels, hence lowering chances of a heart attack. Physical exercise is also recommended by doctors due to the fact, that it influences the person and the body to form a habit. If a person decides to start exercising, it will naturally boost good hormones such as serotonin, which leaves them feeling better, and that leads to the mind automatically convincing the rest of the body to make a habit out of it, so that boosts in mood and energy can be experienced more often. Hence, fitness and exercise can really improve the quality of life of an individual, and following such a lifestyle may just be the deciding factor for a healthier and longer life. - Why the Gender Pay Gap is Wide and Disturbing
SOCIETY by Rupashree Ravi Why the Gender Pay Gap is Wide and Disturbing 4 August 2022 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Gender equality in the workplace is still a pipe dream for many. Education, discrimination, societal norms, and other factors affect women’s occupational choices and their pay. It is known that women are paid significantly lesser than men for the same work they do, whether it is paid domestic labour or a desk job. This is despite the fact that over the last several decades, millions of women have joined the workforce and have also made huge gains in their educational attainment. All this means that the gender pay gap is real. It also hurts women by suppressing their earnings and making it harder for them to keep a balance between work and family. The gender pay gap is essentially the average difference between the remuneration received by working men and women. But it is more nuanced as the pay gaps can be unadjusted or adjusted. The former is much starker as it simply differentiates between the mean and median wages of the two genders, while the latter takes into account differences in factors such as occupation, education, and job experience. Women are often blamed for not earning more “Worldwide, women only make 77 cents for every dollar earned by men. This results in a lifetime of income inequality between men and women and more women retiring into poverty.” This kind of inequality can be seen in all countries and across all sectors because women’s work is undervalued and they also tend to be concentrated in different jobs than men. Even though the nature of the work may require equal or more effort and skills, it is still valued and remunerated less. The gap widens for women of colour, immigrant women, and mothers, which pushes them into casual and part-time work in the informal economy. This kind of phenomenon is common and much larger in developing countries than in developed countries. It is alarming to know that in a country like India, the reasons for the pay gap are much more complicated. Girl students are forced to drop out of school and are married off, and even if they are educated, many women are not allowed to work by their families. Women who join the workforce often need to take extended leaves for maternity and child care, and even the healthcare of other family members. To top it all, they also take care of household duties like cooking and cleaning. All these factors lead to women’s earnings falling behind men’s over time. Women are forced to micro-manage at their workplace and home We have to understand why the gender wage gap exists and how we can tackle it, without shifting the blame to women for not earning more. Our economy itself provides unequal opportunities for women at every point of their education, training, and career choices. As a result, women tend to choose jobs that pay less, according to a study. They disproportionately enter lower-paid, and female-dominated occupations. However, this decision is shaped by discrimination, societal norms, and other forces beyond their control. Employers also choose to prefer men over women for the same positions and roles due to factors such as motherhood penalties. “Equal pay for work of equal value” The bottom line, however, is that socio-economic disparity and patriarchal power structures expose women to more unpaid care work and land the weight of multi-dimensional work, including primary caretaking on them. Factors like non-inclusivity and sexual harassment in the workplace further pressurise them to opt out of their career prospects. Studies reveal that it will 195 years to overcome the gender pay gap in India This is why we need to expand paid family and medical leave and improve the overall work-life balance. Paid paternity leaves for men are also a great start so that they can help at home as well and lift the burden from women. Implementation of stricter laws like the Equal Pay Act at the state and national levels will help to reduce the widening pay gap. Lastly, gender-sensitive employment practices and measures to reduce sexual harassment in the workplace are the need of the hour all across the world. #Feminism #GenderPayGap #Representation #Patriarchy #WorkplaceInclusivity #GenderSensitisation SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world?
