  • New York Fashion Week Fall Collection

New York Fashion Week Fall Collection by Akash Khatri New York Fashion Week Fall Collection 1 January 2021 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement New York Fashion Week is one of the “Big 4” fashion weeks in the world and is held semi-annually each year in February and September. This year all the live shows struggled to follow their conventional path due to pandemics, New York fashion week was no exception either and for months fashion designers struggled to cope with the “new normal” but definitely came up with some amazing collection. As pandemic has changed the trend of fashion to some extent and with most of the people working from home, the New York fashion week showcased the basic yet chic versions of the clothing rather than going all hunky-dory and glittery. The main cause taken up by most of the fashion designers was “Sustainable fashion” that would protect our environment and in times of such crisis like we are in 2020, giving attention to the environment and global warming is essential. One off-putting thing that the New York fashion week missed is to witness a few of the famous designers participating in New York fashion week’s fall collection. Although looking at the brighter side, the absence of few famous and well-known designers created room for the new and younger designers to shine through. Few names that won heart in the New York Fashion Week fall collection of 2020 are: Marc Jacobs: He highlighted more of the basics in an old school way. A-line coats and Mini shift dresses were the major highlights from his collection. Marina Moscone: She is known for her minimalistic styling. However, she surprised everyone in the fall collection and came up with some sexy options for the evening, some suits, and even used leopard prints for gowns. Prabal Gurung: He expressed his New York fall collection as a love letter to the city which deeply is fascinated about fashion and colours. He showcased the love for glamour meticulously via suits to gowns to jackets. Khaite: She presented her collection as a tale of two women from two different worlds which blended so perfectly and did not even urge us to choose a side either. Such diligently worked collection. There were far too many talented designers who gave everyone major fashion goals and showed how fashion would probably look like in the coming year. Hope you guys have taken note of how suits, A-line dresses, and animal prints and evening gowns won heart at the fall collection in New York fashion week and would keep your wardrobe updated accordingly. • The Legacy Of Gold: A Journey Through Time With Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers

The Legacy Of Gold: A Journey Through Time With Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers By Anushka Sharma The Legacy Of Gold: A Journey Through Time With Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers 19 July 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the very heart of Bihar, a state steeped in the richness of tradition and culture, lies Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers , a family-owned jewellery business that has been passed down through six generations. With a legacy that spans over a century, this jeweller has seen it all - from the rise and fall of empires to the evolution of consumer preferences. Isn’t that a note-worthy, admirable legacy? When asked about the inspiration behind their collections, the jeweller revealed that their focus lies in creating everyday light wear jewellery that caters to the average Indian, with a special emphasis on the rural market. With a price range that starts from a lakh and goes up to 25 lakhs a piece, their jewellery is designed to be worn and treasured for generations to come. They’re deemed as heirloom pieces and cherished by the families through generations. When asked about the typical customer who walks into their store, the jeweller described an average Indian household that comes with a lot of trust and savings, looking for a piece that will hold its value and be cherished for years to come. After all, don’t we love the idea of good jewellery for a beloved’s wedding? Mr. Bhavesh revealed that most of their jewellery is purchased for weddings, gifting, and self-use, with a focus on gold jewellery that holds investment value. When asked about the current trends in the industry, the jeweller noted a resurgence in the demand for gold jewellery, particularly in certain markets. While diamond and Kundan jewellery have gained popularity in recent years, the jeweller believes that gold will always hold its value and remain a preferred choice for Indians. Jewellery and skin tones: When it comes to skin tones and colours, the jeweller explained that yellow gold stands out well on Indian skin, making it a popular choice for the Indian subcontinent. However, for those with a fairer skin tone, rose gold and white gold can be a good option. The jeweller also emphasized the importance of tradition and customs in the Indian jewellery industry, stating that yellow gold will always be the preferred choice due to its cultural significance. Beyond the point of sale, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers engages with customers through local events, music concerts, and CSR initiatives. With a strong offline presence, Mr Bhavesh believes that trust and legacy are key to their success. When asked about the challenges they faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, the jeweller revealed that while it was a difficult time for many jewellers, their business actually saw a surge in sales as people turned to investment opportunities. Is gold a viable option for investment in today’s times? In today's economy, Mr Bhavesh believes that gold is a superb investment option, offering returns of 5% to 6% every year. With a plan to establish an online presence in the next 6 to 9 months, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers is confident that their legacy will continue to shine for generations to come. Lastly, he also emphasized the importance of education in the jewellery industry, stating that not many brand owners today have a qualification in jewellery. All that one requires is a burning desire for a business of gemstones. Mr Bhavesh has had an impactful qualification to back his career in gemmology though: He has graduated as a gemologist from Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad. Needless to say, with a focus on gold and a commitment to quality, Munnalal Maheshlal Arya Jewellers is a true testament to the power of legacy and tradition in the Indian jewellery industry. • India Is Finally Having A Major Fashion Moment

India Is Finally Having A Major Fashion Moment By Anushka Sharma India Is Finally Having A Major Fashion Moment 23 March 2024 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the year of 2023. Mumbai lit up with the sparkle of Christian Dior's Autumn 2023 collection. It wasn't just another fashion show; it was a historic moment, marking Christian Dior's first-ever standalone show in India. The buzz reverberated across the internet, with clips flooding TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. When high-profile stars like Gigi Hadid and Zendaya adorned themselves in elegant saris, the message was clear: India had stepped onto the global fashion stage in style. For too long, fashion has been synonymous with exclusivity and elitism. While movies like "The Devil Wears Prada" may glamorize this image, it no longer resonates with today's society. Today’s society craves genuinity. Social media has democratized fashion, giving rise to influencers who speak directly to our hearts and minds. Fashion is no longer confined to runways; it's a conversation happening on the same platforms we use every day. And with that conversation comes a demand for inclusivity, diversity, and representation. We've made strides in embracing body and racial diversity, but cultural representation remains a challenge. Fashion is a universal language, yet its narrative has often been dominated by a narrow Western perspective. It's time to broaden that narrative and celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that shape our world. Fashion should reflect the diversity of its audience, honoring traditions from every corner of the globe. In a recent event in London, Megha Kapoor, Vogue’s former India's Head of Editorial Content, highlighted a troubling trend. Content in Indian languages was deemed unfit for the world of high fashion, perpetuating a colonial mindset that devalues indigenous cultures. This attitude is changing, but it's a reminder that progress is still needed to break free from outdated notions of superiority. Fashion has always been woven into the fabric of my family's identity. From eagerly watching my mother adorn herself for special occasions to bonding over the choice of fabrics and accessories, fashion was more than just clothing—it was a connection to our heritage. This sentiment is echoed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of women's at Christian Dior, who recognizes India's rich history in textile craftsmanship as integral to its culture. India's influence on fashion stretches back thousands of years, with its mastery of textiles dating back to ancient times. The legacy of the Mughal Empire infused Indian fashion with intricate details and exquisite embellishments, setting the stage for centuries of innovation. Today, as the fashion industry undergoes a transformation, India's heritage is taking center stage once again. Christian Dior's landmark show in Mumbai is more than just a fashion event; it's a testament to India's cultural legacy. Just as Fendi's show at the Great Wall of China sparked a renaissance in Chinese luxury, we can only hope that this moment will reignite interest in Indian fashion and history on a global scale. It's time for fashion to embrace its role as a cultural ambassador, celebrating diversity and heritage with every stitch and seam. • Fast Times In Pune: Tracksuits, Dreams And A Dash Of Madness At Sports Con 2025

Fast Times In Pune: Tracksuits, Dreams And A Dash Of Madness At Sports Con 2025 By Shrinivas Kodape Fast Times In Pune: Tracksuits, Dreams And A Dash Of Madness At Sports Con 2025 29 April 2025 LIFESTYLE Advertisement If you anticipated the typical display of corporate logos and rigid panels at SPORTS CON Pune 2025, you were pleasantly surprised. Held at the historic PYC Hindu Gymkhana , this wasn’t your average event. No one was here to hand out polished brochures or talk about things that sounded nice on paper. This was about action, urgency, and a whole lot of raw truth. The first speaker to step up wasn’t some celebrity, polished in a designer suit, but rather Dr. Vipul Lunawat, a man whose eyes had seen enough of India’s sports eco-system to make you question whether we were stuck in a time loop of broken promises. This wasn’t about hope or fluff; it was a hard dose of reality. His message: India’s sports system is crumbling. His words cut through the optimism like a knife, and you could feel the room brace for what was coming next. But Dr. Lunawat wasn’t alone. Madhukar Talwalkar, the fitness guru known for reshaping the health landscape in India, stood beside him. And then there was Dr. Pranati Tilak, calm and composed, like the steady anchor in a storm. These three weren’t there to dance around issues. They were there to tell it like it is—no sugarcoating, no fluff. And you could feel the room start to shift. Their message was clear: if India didn’t fix its sports Eco-system, it was game over for any Olympic dreams. The mood was set, but it didn’t stay calm for long. The next panel, “Decoding the League Culture,” went straight for the jugular. Kailash Kandpal, who made Puneri Paltan the juggernaut it is, didn’t come to chat about sponsorships or TV ratings. He was talking about survival—about making leagues that people actually cared about, not just following trends or chasing foreign dollars. For him, the sport was about something deeper, a bond with the community that’s hard to describe, but you know it when you see it. Then there was Mandar Tamhane, who lives and breathes football through his work with NorthEast United FC . His focus was on one simple, undeniable fact: if India didn’t start embracing football as its true sport, any hope for Olympic success was just that—a dream. A pretty, distant dream. He spoke with such passion you almost felt like the entire country should be shutting down for a football match. Next up was Parvin Dabas, an actor turned advocate for Pro Panja League , a form of arm wrestling that’s slowly making waves in India. His talk wasn’t just about strength; it was about a return to the basics of physicality. Forget the shiny new sports that come and go with trends—Panja wrestling is all about raw, gritty power. Dabas was adamant: it was time to bring back the sports that were built on real physical strength, not the tech-saturated world we’re drowning in. And then Rishi Bhansali, the founder of Pickleball , stepped up, and let’s just say it wasn’t your typical panel. Pickleball? Yes, it’s a thing. But Bhansali wasn’t just here to talk about paddle sports; he was here to talk about building communities around sports. His point was simple: clubs should be as important as schools, as temples, as landmarks. Sports should mean something to the neighborhoods they belong to. By the time the heavy hitters like Pawan Singh from Gun for Glory Academy, Lokesh Suji talking esports, and Rishikesh Joshi weighed in, the message couldn’t have been clearer: India needed more than just flashy banners or half-built stadiums. It needed a complete overhaul. Big changes, and fast. The status quo wasn’t working, and if India wanted to be a real contender on the world stage, the cracks in the foundation needed to be fixed yesterday. As the day wound down, you couldn’t help but feel like something had shifted. These weren’t just dreamers talking theory—they were doers, and they weren’t here to hold your hand. They were here to demand action. But if you weren’t paying attention, you might have missed it. The revolution in Indian sports had quietly begun, and while the path forward was unclear, the momentum was undeniable. So, what does all of this mean? Well, it’s simple: SPORTS CON Pune 2025 wasn’t just a day of panels. It was a wake-up call for a nation that had been dreaming too long and building too little. The people in that room were ready to fight for the kind of sports culture India deserves—not the flashy image, not the Insta-worthy moments, but the real stuff that comes from the grassroots up. No one promised it would be easy, but then again, whoever promised that revolutions were fun? India’s Olympic dreams might still be distant, but they don’t have to be impossible. It all starts with taking action—big, messy, necessary action. If you missed the revolution, don’t worry; there’s always next year. Or maybe, just maybe, there won’t be. Heli's journey on YouTube has been remarkable, and we wonder what sets her content apart and resonates so well with her audience. She replies thoughtfully, "As you know, content is king in today's digital world, and building connections with my audience is paramount to me. She shares her heartfelt dream, "My dream collab is to meet Zoë Sugg and film a classic Haul or makeup routine video with her because she inspired me to start my channel. • A Quiet Affair With Bangkok At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok

By Shriniwas Kodape By Shriniwas Kodape A Quiet Affair With Bangkok At Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok 14 August 2025 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The sky had just started melting into a bruised purple when I rolled into Sukhumvit. The kind of Bangkok evening that clings to your skin, rich with exhaust fumes, grilled chicken, and possibilities. The Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok didn’t tower so much as it stood with purpose—its glass façade reflecting a thousand fractured city lights. It didn’t need to scream; it whispered welcome in the way old cities do. Inside, the lobby pulsed with soft light and a hush that felt like velvet. No fuss, no spectacle—just the hum of polished floors, muted jazz, and smiles that reached the eyes. The check-in was less transaction, more choreography. I barely noticed the paperwork. I remember the cold towel, the floral scent of the welcome drink, and the quiet assurance that I’d landed somewhere that understood the balance between stillness and movement. Upstairs, the room opened like a scene change. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretched across Bangkok’s tangled sprawl, and I stood barefoot on the carpet, watching the BTS Skytrain snake through the city like a slow metal thought. The bed was impossibly inviting. The kind you fall into without meaning to. And the bathroom—marble, glass, silence—became a sanctuary all its own. I stayed under the rain shower until time loosened its grip on my shoulders. Morning came soft and forgiving. I wandered down to breakfast, where cuisines danced around each other without borders. I saw miso soup flirting with hash browns, samosas holding court beside bacon. A chef behind the egg station looked up and nodded before I spoke, like he’d already read the kind of morning I was having. The coffee was dark, generous, and unhurried. It asked nothing of me except presence. Later, I found myself floating in the rooftop pool, the city buzzing below, oblivious. Sunlight scattered across the water, and for a moment, everything stilled—the taxis, the horns, the deadlines. The world could wait. By sundown, I made my way to Brewski , the open-air bar perched high above the Bangkok beat. There’s something about sipping craft beer at eye level with the skyline that rewires your perception. The amber lights, the long wooden bar, the crisp laughter of travelers who had already surrendered to the city’s rhythm. I ordered a local IPA that carried notes of citrus, coriander, and Bangkok heat. It slipped down easy, like the night. Hunger led me down to Attico , a Tuscan hideaway draped in warm light and rustic woods. The wine breathed in its glass. The truffle risotto arrived steaming, fragrant, unapologetically rich. A playlist of Italian jazz hummed in the background. The room wasn’t crowded, but it was alive—families talking with their hands, lovers leaning in, chefs plating dishes with quiet intensity. And then there was Chao Phya, where Thai cuisine was treated with reverence, not spectacle. Each dish told its own story. The tom yum had depth, not just heat. The jasmine rice was perfectly steamed, catching the flavors like silk. There was no rush, no showmanship. Just flavor, history, and the kind of cooking that came from memory more than manuals. Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok didn’t try to impress. It simply was. A hotel that knew how to fade into the background so you could foreground your own experience. It gave space without distance, luxury without noise. It was the pause between exhale and inhale, the quiet beat between footsteps. On my last morning, I lingered by the window. The city was already wide awake, but I moved slower now. Something about this place had rewired the way I listened, the way I looked. I was packed with the strange heaviness of knowing something subtle had shifted. And as the elevator descended, I didn’t feel like I was leaving a hotel—I felt like I was stepping out of a story I’d quietly become part of. • Wandering into the room of Virginia Woolf

SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Wandering into the room of Virginia Woolf 1 June 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Reckoned as a feminist icon and literary genius, Adeline Virginia Woolf is best known for her novel “ Mrs Dalloway”, “To the lighthouse” and essay “ A Room of one’s own”. She was born in an affluent family with literary inclinations shaping her childhood and proclivity for reading and writing. Woolf began to write professionally in 1900 encouraged by her father Leslie Stephen. Her writing style is almost poetic, stream of consciousness of characters binding together the narrative. Like so many writers and artists she wasn’t famous during her lifetime and even several decades after her death. Her popularity rose to newer heights during the 1970s feminist criticism movement. She was a part of Bloomsbury group- a group of English writers, artists and philosophers in the early 20th century which was the hub of art, affairs and intellectual discussions. As Dorothy Parker quipped, “They painted in circles, lived in squares, and loved in triangles”. Viriginia Woolf is also known for her old school romance with her husband decorated with love letters and cute pet names, they called each Mandrill and Mongoose. Virginia was a champion of women equality and independence during her time and lived a life which was unconventional and revolutionary in a sense. One of her most famous longer essays “ A Room of One’s Own” was derived from two lectures she gave at Cambridge University. She talks about “ A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction”. She famously gave an analogy of Shakespeare’s sister who, equipped with the same genius could not be equally famous given the position of her gender. Virginia also talked about Bronte sisters, George Eliot and other women writers who wrote under pen names because that was the only way to move forward in the hallways of the literary world. Yet beneath this shy yet social beautiful writer is a sad woman who was sexually abused as a child and battled mental illness throughout her life. She had a mental breakdown on the death of her mother in 1895. It was the first of many more to come. Institutionalized many times, she attempted suicide and finally one morning in 1941, she filled her pocket with stones and drowned in a nearby river. Leaving behind a legacy of novels, diaries and letters, her life remains an enigma, much like her death. But Virginia, through her sad rebellion and constant musings, fills us with hope. Hope in the strength of good ideas to come forward, irrespective of gender and social circumstances and for us to be forbearers of a future more equitable than the past. • Why is being Real underrated?

SOCIETY by Aparajita Jaiswal Why is being Real underrated? 16 July 2021 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Contemporary times arranged our lives and turned it to be a lot easier, organised and captivated. Many of us have an impeccable life in real life but people leading a different life are expected to always look good on parade which intentionally leads to deceiving their own conscience. Having an engaged and often organised life is charming, in today’s times. Nevertheless, all of us can’t possess the same thing. Neither we need to be pretentious of the reality, we are trying really hard to settle in. Every day when we wake up, we have a gruelling fight to win. Life throws uncountable targets on us either professional, emotional, or may be related to our family or relationships. And the majority of us work hard with both our body and soul to accomplish those targets. At times our own high standards become unreachable. Yet every day teaches us a lesson. Wise men learn, move on and never look back because we are neither competing with others nor are we a part of any race, organised by the society, being its Jury. Remember! When babies are born, they are born with their own blessings and short-comings. And since then, we have been building a life of our own. We succeed, we fail, we learn, we let go but we grow because There are no failures, only outcomes, as long as I learn Something, I am succeeding. We all encounter many hassles in life with respect to mental and physical health, appearances, standards of living, comparative status or more but at the very least we should cherish that we are learning and succeeding. A long life is awaited… Start your journey with the hard work you expose. You shall reap what you ought to sow. Pull off the unreal mask you have on your face. Show to the world, true warriors are you, in the race.! It’s about time when individuals shall learn to embrace the scars they are born with or have earned in the journey to reach where they are right now. My two cents here, we should at the minimum spare a minute to understand the beauty of individuals we are moving along, of the people we vicariously live through and of the people we are inspired from. Potentially then we can see right through their perfect personality, the scars they are embracing to be Strong, Fierce, Smart, Gracious, Live, Empathetic and Charming. Every individual has built a historical personality from their lives which was inevitably arduous and exceptionally perfect. And, we are able to build an exceptionally impeccable life because we never underrated our reality of being perfect in our imperfections, strong in our failures, real in this very unreal underrated world. “Don’t look back to what others have, Build your own unique real self. Perfections are underrated, Impeccable is the journey you live in.” SEARCH Why India is the most depressed country in the world? • Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era

Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era by Aparajita Jaiswal Seerat Kapoor – An All-rounder’s journey in today’s era 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Seerat Kapoor has indeed been an all-rounder through her dancing, singing and acting. When asked about her experience training with Ashleigh Lobo, she reveals- “In all honesty, when I started off as a dancer, I had no long term plan of taking it up as a choreographer. I had merely taken it to train the passion that I have towards dance. I enrolled into Ashleigh’s company as a student, along with a couple of seniors who within my first class spotted me and offered me a scholarship program.” Moreover, the artist claims that she became a co-member of Ashleigh’s team and was landed with the opportunity of working as a choreographer in the movie, Rockstar. Taking a sneak peek into the artist’s journey as an actor, Seerat reveals that performing theatrical dance trained her to “face the camera and the big screen”. Seerat’s parents guided her through the process of training professionally as a singer. “I was very young and my parents had this knack of already understanding that there were two creative kids born to them, my brother and I. My parents thought if I trained, I could potentially stand up in the field of professional singing. At that point, all I wanted was to dance, sing and act. I remember a very open conversation at home about how Hindustani Classical music influences your vocal training.” The artist’s inspiration game is rather idealistic and taken from various forms. “I draw inspiration from everywhere, there are no one or two people, not just industry professionals, but the people I work with. Right from the management to my PR to the team that supports me; everyone inspires me. Seeing old ladies in the gym is an inspiration. Therefore, it’s holistic and I’m also inspired by many films and performances by actors.“ Being a public figure can bring out its “pros and cons”. According to the artist, the perception of a situation and whether it is bound to work in favour or not is in the stride of an actor. Her approach towards negative criticism is constructive as she looks at them as opportunities for her betterment in her art. Seerat Kapoor appeared in Slow Slow music video with Badshaah and Abhishek and has been working on several projects currently. She claims that featuring in Slow Slow music video was extremely good. The opportunity was out of her comfort zone. She added that meeting Badshah created a personal level attachment on a deeper level. In terms of her recent projects, the artist reveals that she has a Bollywood debut release with Tushar Kapoor Entertainment Productions along with veterans such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui sir. She is currently filming another movie with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi.“ The conversation was extremely delightful. Seerat concluded the interview with a heart- wrenching message for her fans. “I want to tell my fans that they have been such a great support and I won’t stay silent here, because they very loudly cheer for me when I put up something.“ #TaraTaraKhandelwalBooksBooksandbeyondBoundWritersReadersAuthorsLiterary #Love #depression #society #Seerat #Fashion #SeeratKapoor #lutopia #Anxiety #Reality #LutopiaMagazine #skincare #Life #Kapoor #Mentalhealth SEARCH A Journey Shaped By Courage, Creativity, And Social Media With Aditi Sharma COVER STORIES Inner Joy Trails My Inspiration : A Candid Conversation With The Creative Anushka Kaushik COVER STORIES Barkha Singh’s candid candour makes the way to an eye-catching interview COVER STORIES Educate, Empower, Excel: Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's Inspirational Overture COVER STORIES Waluscha De Sousa On Being Her ‘True Self’ And Going On The Dream Journey COVER STORIES POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape The Eternal Strings Of Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash 4 October 2025 COVER STORIES By Anurag Sen Vivian Dsena: The Fluke Star Who Became Television’s Undying Heartthrob 25 September 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Unscripted, Unstoppable: The Many Lives Of Christine Gulasatree 22 August 2025 COVER STORIES By Ananya Patankar Off Script, On Truth: Anshumaan Pushkar In His Own Words 30 June 2025 COVER STORIES RELATED POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement
