  • On Weaving Dreams, Creating Connections, And Defying Expectations In Purva’s Life

by Akshra Khandelwal On Weaving Dreams, Creating Connections, And Defying Expectations In Purva’s Life 26 August 2023 LIFESTYLE Advertisement In a world where social media has become an indispensable part of our lives, the role of influencers has taken on new dimensions. These digital trendsetters shape our tastes and act as bridges between brands and consumers. In a candid conversation with the effervescent and talented influencer Purva, we delved into her journey, her thoughts on the industry, and her passion for Public Relations (PR). With a career that has blossomed unexpectedly and an approach to life that's as spontaneous as it is inspiring, Purva's story is a testament to the magic that can unfold when one embraces uncertainty. As we kicked off our conversation, Purva's vibrant energy was palpable. "I am doing well. Thank you!!" she exclaimed, setting the tone for a lively dialogue. "Every day is different. I get to learn so many new things daily," she mused. The world of influencers is not just about posting pretty pictures but a constant process of self-improvement and evolution. Purva's dedication to learning mirrored her passion for connecting with industry experts. "Getting the opportunity to meet some of the best people in the industry is incredibly enriching," she shared. One couldn't help but notice the spark in Purva's eyes when discussing high-energy environments. Whether attending events or fashion shows, she described the experience as nothing short of crazy. "My favourite part is when I experience a high-energy environment, be it any event or fashion show… It's a crazy experience," she gushed. It was evident that these moments fueled her creativity and zest for life. One could almost visualize her immersed in the whirlwind of lights, music, and excitement. Amidst all the glamour and glitz, Purva revealed a lesser-known side of her journey—her involvement in Public Relations. But she was quick to correct any misconceptions. "Oh my god, that's not true. SMM & PR are two extremely different things," she clarified. Purva highlighted the essence of PR, which revolves around understanding clients deeper and finding ways to make them stand out uniquely. "In PR, we must understand our clients and how they are unique from others—how can we make them stand out from the rest," she emphasized. As she unraveled the complexities of PR, Purva touched upon the core of her work—innovatively and creatively presenting clients to the public, including media houses, journalists, and audiences. "This is the actual game," she exclaimed, shedding light on the strategic dance that PR professionals perform to create impactful narratives. While many individuals meticulously planned their career paths, Purva's journey took a more spontaneous route. "The next 5 years are a lot of time, and I am someone whose plans have never worked out! I did not plan to do whatever I was doing today!" she chuckled. Her candid admission was a refreshing departure from the scripted narratives often encountered. Instead of being overwhelmed by the uncertainty, Purva embraced it. "None of this was planned, and I love it already, so I've just surrendered myself to the universe. I am sure it will lead me to the right place!" she declared with unwavering faith. As we delved deeper into her world, Purva's passion for her work became even more apparent. "Current Projects! Where do I start? Because we are not allowed to talk about it, I am willing to tap into some Global opportunities for my clients, which I am doing right now," she shared with an air of excitement. The enthusiasm she radiated was a testament to her dedication and love for her job. "I love every bit of my job!" she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. Her journey wasn't just about climbing the ladder of success and relishing each step. Purva's creative essence was a common thread woven throughout her story. "I have always been creative, and seeing myself do something like that every day gives me so much Joy!" she shared with a beaming smile. Her career was an extension of her true self—a canvas on which she painted her imagination, ideas, and dreams. Her words echoed the sentiment that when one's work aligns with their passions, it becomes an endless source of fulfillment. Influencer, PR professional, and creative soul—Purva's journey is a whirlwind of unexpected twists fueled by her unshakable spirit and zest for life. From the high-energy thrills of events and fashion shows to the intricacies of Public Relations, she seamlessly navigates through diverse landscapes, leaving her mark with every step. Her story serves as a reminder that embracing uncertainty and surrendering to the universe can lead to extraordinary adventures. As we concluded our conversation, Purva's optimism lingered, a beacon of inspiration for anyone daring to follow their heart's calling, wherever it might lead. • WORLD PEACE DOME

by Akash Khatri WORLD PEACE DOME 1 November 2020 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement World peace dome stands tall at 263 feet with a diameter of 160 feet. The height of the dome is 96 feet, whereas total height from ground to apex is 263 feet. The sitting area inside is spread over to 20,000 sq. feet and total seating capacity is 3000. This is one of the important architectural wonder which was completed in the year 2018 and was accomplished through 15 years of perseverance and dedication of thousands of people. This epitome of wonder is located in Maharashtra, India and is dedicated for ‘World Peace and Humanity’ regardless of the fact that India ranks 141 in GPI (Global Peace Index); ranks 133 in peace and security index ,one of the least safe countries for women and has many disputes related to religion, castes going on from years mainly rooting from politics that we often come across regularly. It often leaves me wondering, have the virtual and showcasing world really overpowered us so well and establishing its roots among us so powerfully that we actually believe that buildings and statues representing peace, humanity and unity can make this place or this world better for us? Do we actually believe that burying and not talking about the flaws can disparage them in long terms? This world peace dome left me bamboozled and thinking if it represents the modern world where only fake ways of life is sold rather than just peace and humanity. Metaphorically speaking, if this world peace dome or several structures built like this or are in disputes to be built in future can actually establish a system where the ways of real upbringings, real meaning of life can be shown, where it is explained enough to soak in through the bones that life is more than just ‘representing’ or sugar coating ‘ugly truths’ but these representatives are quoting opposite lessons. Nothing can be a representative of anything if the mirror of that particular place it is built in, is saying something else. Granted it can attract tourism and thus can help in boosting Indian economy in one way or the other but outsiders are really attracted to the Indian culture they found some kind of treasury in, which we are continuously letting to slip away from us! Disguise cannot be put forth longer and the practical perks could exhaust soon if we continue to hide under the films of silver linings. • Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows

by Priti Sharma Why does Fashion Need Fashion Shows 12 December 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Similar to art, fashion shows and editorials are meant to elicit discussion. I may not always agree with the idea because it is frequently absurd and outrageous! The objective is to adapt one style element to your own style. The suit is not intended to be worn from head to toe. Fashion shows are crucial since they present the newest trends for the season. They serve as a moving gallery and a style icon for quick clothes retailers who copy high fashion. Instead, a fashion show is an opportunity for a designer to showcase a specific aesthetic, mood, feel or point of view. As a result, fashion shows can tend to be more conceptual and focused on a higher level idea. Designers can display their creative ideas for garments during fashion shows. Future modifications to what individuals wear may result from this. Since they have been included in fashion shows for a number of years, men wearing skirts are now considered acceptable attire. Fashion shows are hugely significant in the worlds of fashion and modeling. Their acceptance has grown quickly, making them one of the major fashion events. The most important aspect of many fashion designers' careers is participating in fashion shows. But what's even more crucial for these exhibitions is that fashion designers can showcase their work and skill. They can develop cooperative partnerships and entice as many clients or business partners as they can this way. Pret-a-Porter & Haute Couture — At a fashion show, models walk the catwalk to display a designer's newest collections. Fashions from pret-a-porter and haute couture are distinguished from one another. Haute couture literally translates as high-end tailoring and has French origins. Haute couture is a term used to describe lavish, distinctive, and high-quality fashion designs. The opulent sets, which feature choreography in the Busby Berkeley style set in magical woods and space-age discos, are as lavish as the outfits, which are adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearls. The twice-yearly couture presentations, which are presently being held in Paris, are unquestionable quite the spectacle. The costs are equally astounding as the dresses: a made-to-measure ballgown may easily cost as much as a Rolls-Royce, while a blouse would cost as much as a Madrid flat. Which begs the question: what is the point of couture if relatively few people would spend six figures on a dress? Similar to how automakers flaunt their technological prowess by building supercars, fashion designers utilize couture as a demonstration of their power and technical prowess. The Chambre de Commerce & d'Industrie de Paris carefully regulate entry to the calendar; in order to become a couture designer, fashion businesses must adhere to severe criteria, including having a Paris-based studio with more than 20 employees. The most absurd ideas from a designer are displayed in couture, where there are no financial restrictions on aspiration. Additionally, it displays financial strength. For instance, Versace nearly went out of business during the early 2000s recession and discontinued presenting couture for eight years. When it returned to schedule, in 2012, the brand was perceived as being back in rude health. In short, couture designers are the creme de la creme; fashion’s richest, most accomplished top dogs. Mid-century France was where haute couture first appeared. Charles Frederick Worth, the so-called founding father, was the first to sell custom-made, high-end clothing manufactured to his own designs. Up until that point, made-to-measure clothes has only ever been created with the customer's preferences in mind. The fashion business saw a transformation because to Worth. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne then came together; this group still governs haute couture and today refers to itself as a fashion association. The designer may only showcase his haute couture line under this genre at the couture presentations of the Fashion Weeks if this committee approves the collection of his designer label. The point of couture is clear: it’s all about glory, pizzazz, and the bottom line. #FashionShow #Fashion #Couture #Glamour #Models #Designers #FashionWeek SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health 1 April 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma India Is Finally Having A Major Fashion Moment 23 March 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Fashion Trends: What's Hot In 2024 22 March 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Is Africa The Next World Leader In Fashion 20 March 2024 FASHION RELATED POSTS

  • Rules, London

by Akash Khatri Rules, London 1 December 2021 TRAVEL Advertisement Advertisement When you think of the British culture, the one thing that comes to everyone’s mind is – the word ‘posh’. And what about the British food culture? Like every other part of the world, the UK has a conventional, classic, comforting and unique food. And what’s better than London’s oldest restaurant for getting a glimpse of the classic British cuisine? Rules, London’s oldest and finest restaurant was built in 1798 by Thomas Rule, in Covent Garden. The restaurant began as an oyster bar. Writers at the time rule started, admired the “rakes dandies and superior intelligence’s”. Not only has ‘Rules’ fed some of the world-famous writers such as Charles Dickens and William Thackeray but also has been mentioned in some great novels by John le Carrè and Claire Rayner. A cosy restaurant with an equally comforting bar, Rules gives one the feels of both- countryside and city. The classic British food on the menu is a great match with the friendly and luxurious service. Right from the moment you enter and leave your coat at the door, the place feels like you’ve actually entered the 18th century definition of ‘luxury’. Dining amongst the golden interiors, velvet red chairs like those in the old times and mahogany furniture, is an unexpected grandeur. And if you happen to visit on a Sunday, you might be lucky enough to see the bottle-green, vintage Rolls Royce- named ‘Bubbles’ in front of the restaurant. Coming to the food, Rules has a surprisingly wide choice on the menu. And it’s clearly obvious that after a huge success of 222 years, the food is outstanding. There’s a variety on the menu that displays the impeccable take on British delicacy perfectly served in fine silverware, brings forth the traditional flavours. When it comes to desserts, this is one restaurant in London with an amazingly evocative selection of sweet treats. And if you still haven’t had your fill, the cocktail bar upstairs gives you a choice of any cocktail of your liking with an elegant Rules twist. Rules is a heritage restaurant, with a fine collection of antique cartoons, drawings and paintings. The tradition is one of the most important features. This extremely comforting piece of history is full of life and yet takes you to a different era. With their crimson and gold carpets , and velvet lined booths, every inch of Rules depicts rich heritage. The menu is the best-of-British classics featuring native oysters, traditional beef, pies – fish or chicken, leek and mushroom. And you’ll be treated like an old friend from the moment you enter, as you’re greeted by the doorman. And you’ll be leaving with a satisfied heart and appetite and a smiling face. • Sandeepa Dhar: On Being Versatile and Learning from Mistakes

by JoNa Sandeepa Dhar: On Being Versatile and Learning from Mistakes 11 December 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Advertisement Sandeepa Dhar from Kashmir made her debut into Bollywood with the movie Isi Life Mein in 2010, from then it has been an upward journey for her. She has starred in multiple hit movies and critically acclaimed web series such as Abhay and Mai: A Mother’s Rage. Dhar has been nominated for the Filmfare Best Debut Actress, Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer – female and the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female. She opens up to us about the challenges she faced in the industry, her learning experiences in the shooting spots, her co-stars and her philosophy when it comes to life and work. The Pandemic has taught her not to plan things far ahead, she’s more conscious of the changes in the Bollywood industry and is ready to take one step at a time. She’s not in a hurry to the top. It is the process that appeals to her. “ Personal growth as an actor and as an individual is the most important for me. I think that's where I see myself going, I see myself evolving, changing, getting better and better with time.” Sandeepa Dhar is working on a new project, meanwhile she spoke to us about working on the sets of Kaagaz with the legendary actors Salman Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Director Satish Kaushik. She shares a special relationship with Salman Khan, as she had already worked with him; and Tripathi according to her, is ‘an amazing and smashing human being.’ She quoted an incident where Kaushik came to her with a song and told her that it was about women empowerment, and that he would never shoot an item song or show women in a poor light. ‘It was reassuring and refreshing to see him talk like that,’ she said. “It was a wonderful experience working on Kaagaz, I'm extremely lucky that I get to work with such an amazing set of creative minds who've been in the industry for a really long time, who are so experienced, and at the top of the game. Ihope I get to work with them over and over again. Fingers crossed.” When asked about her experience so far in Bollywood, Dhar said that it is like a rollercoaster ride, having it’s ups and downs. She is extremely grateful to have worked in diverse roles, with multiple stars and franchises like Netflix and Hotstar. She is also ready to fight for and hope for more bigger, stronger roles and recognition. Looking forward to many more exciting opportunities, Dhar remains optimistic. “ …I feel like I'm also very grateful, because I have got an opportunity to work with some amazing set of people from Salman to Sajid Nadiadwala to Tiger to Kriti and Rajshri. Even with the web, I have gotten the opportunity to work with some brilliantly talented people; platforms from Netflix to Hotstar, the best in the game. I think it's been an interesting journey and I'm only very excited to see where it goes henceforth. Because I don't know myself where it leads me to, I don’t know how much I'm going to grow and evolve. No matter what, I'm really, really looking forward to the opportunities that I get henceforth and to the choices that I make ahead.” Working with Atul Mongia for the web series Mai has been a dream come true for Sandeepa Dhar. The series was produced by Clean Slate Filmz owned by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Sharma. It was a critical and commercial success, and it impacted her personally and professionally as well says Dhar. She goes on to talk about her views on personal development and how she focuses on being a better person and artist, never comparing herself to anyone but herself. She strongly believe in personal growth, and looks forward to being a better version of her self both on and off screen. ‘People who compare their lives to others’ are quite narrow minded, as everyone’s journey is different,’ she adds. “. I feel like anyway, with the kind of lifestyles that we all have, we all need to look inward and work on our own selves, that's the only way that we can keep a straight head in this crazy world. Because, social media and people can play with your head and I think at this point, the only thing that can save you is your own self and knowing who you are and working on it. I think for me that is what is the most important.” For a final question, we asked her about the obstacles she has faced and her journey so far. She replied that being an outsider had been her first obstacle; she knew no one in the industry and had to work hard to land roles, to reach the relevant people. Since she had no one to guide her during her earlier days, everything was of ‘trial and error,’ method for her. She had to learn from her mistakes, sometimes she erred three four times, before learning her lesson. She also spoke about the ‘perception’ that people have about actors, which stereotypes them and thereby denying them of certain roles. This fight against people’s perception of her is a constant battle she says. “In this industry, the stereotyping is immense to an extent it’s quite ridiculous in a way because isn't it stupid that as an actor, you're putting people in boxes, according to the way they look. But as an actor, I should mould myself physically and emotionally as per the character. That is my job, right? I'm supposed to play a different character irrespective of what I look like, but the industry forces you to only play roles, which kind of suffice to what you look like physically. So, if I am, for example, fair and modern and good looking then, according to them, I would only fit in roles wherein the character is rich and from an affluent family or speaks English. I am honestly quite fed up with people thinking like that. I think there is that obstacle that I'm constantly fighting hence, if you look at my filmography, I'm always playing roles wherein the character is quite the opposite of what I am in person.” We ended the interview with a positive vibe, with Sandeepa Dhar asking the audience and readers to look forward to her movies and series, not because she is in them but because they’re worth watching. We are indeed looking forward to your next project Sandeepa Dhar! Wishing you all luck and success! • Fashion Pieces That Will Never Go Out Of Style

by Priti Sharma Fashion Pieces That Will Never Go Out Of Style 6 November 2022 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Our sense of style is quite individual to us; it's a fantastic and special method to showcase our personalities while being at ease and making a significant statement about who we are. However, maintaining a current wardrobe and feeling great in our outfits may be challenging in our ever-evolving society and trends. Yes, being current with fashion trends will keep you current, but every genuine fashionista understands that you must invest in a few timeless pieces if you want to stay in style. If you want to seem effortlessly put together, making purchases of wardrobe essentials is the way to go. Fear not, though; despite the constant influx of new fashion fads, there are a few timeless essentials that we can always rely on, no matter what the most recent trend may be. In addition to being fashionable, these kinds of clothes will make your outfits seem to be put together and prevent you from making impulsive purchases. Do you have any upcoming shopping or wardrobe updates? Here are a few timeless pieces of clothes that will always be in fashion: Black Skinny Jeans I am aware that Gen Z is at war with thin jeans. Mom jeans are also a great way to switch up your look. But nothing can match or take the place of a black pair of slim jeans for a timeless, polished appearance. They won't take attention away from your gorgeous face while still giving every body shape a wonderful, feminine silhouette. Dark skinnies have the advantage of being both dressy when paired with a lovely top and shoes and informal when worn with a tee and sneakers. Your trusty black skinny jeans will never fail you. Classic Heels One heel never goes out of style: the traditional pump. Other heels, such as strappy, clunky, lace-up, or platform heels, come and go. Sometimes all you need is a pair of timeless shoes to instantly dress up an ensemble. They instantly give us a bit more height, lengthen our legs, and are easy to put on and take off. Simple heels are always a good choice, whether you're wearing them with jeans, a pencil skirt, a pantsuit, or a fancy dress. A White V-Neck Tee Hear us out: Although this might sound simple (or perhaps too simple), we've discovered that less is frequently more when it comes to long-lasting wardrobe necessities. A white t-shirt can be worn with anything; you can dress it up by tucking it into a long skirt or be cool and casual by letting it dangle from your favorite shorts. White t-shirts aren't spectacular, but they're always a nice option and let other pieces stand out while serving as a wonderful foundation. A Little Black Dress The current flowery maxi dress trend that we see streaming across our feeds is easy to get sucked into and fascinated with, but the little black dress has never stopped being a timeless option that gives its user a feeling of mystery, elegance, and timelessness. Knowing you have an excellent choice for practically every event in your go-to LBD will always make those difficult selections simpler. A Chunky Pullover Sweater If you're going to remain warm, at least do it stylishly! Chunky sweaters are basic, uncomplicated garments that will always make us feel both put-together and appropriate for the season, from the moment the fall leaves start to change until the spring temperatures start to rise. A bulky sweater may look good whether you tuck it into a skirt and wear knee-high boots with it or wear it with your favorite pair of jeans. A Leather Jacket Thanks to leather jackets, even the most basic outfits may be spiced up in less than ten seconds. Additionally, the leather jacket looks great with nearly everything and there is a tonne of faux-leather alternatives available that feel much like genuine leather. Wear it to liven up an otherwise too plain ensemble of jeans and a t-shirt or pair it with a flowery, feminine dress to add some edge to your appearance. A Pea Coat Even though we have to bundle up during the colder months, we still want to appear stylish, right? Thankfully, there are several jackets available to select from, but the pea coat is unrivaled in terms of fashion and practicality. This coat matches any outfit, will never go out of style, gives you a classy look, and will genuinely keep you warm. It comes in an amazingly broad selection of colors (try red if you're feeling brave!). Changing fashion trends are possible. Yet, timeless clothing never goes out of style. It's always a good idea to invest in classic pieces of clothes since they make it easier for you to seem put together and well dressed. Just be careful to choose items that complement your body type and style preferences. #Fashion #Style #NeverGoOutOfStyle #LittleBlackDress #WhiteVneckTshirt #ClassicHeels #LeatherJacket SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Anushka Sharma These Fashion Trends Are Literally Scary For Your Health 1 April 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma India Is Finally Having A Major Fashion Moment 23 March 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Fashion Trends: What's Hot In 2024 22 March 2024 FASHION By Anushka Sharma Is Africa The Next World Leader In Fashion 20 March 2024 FASHION RELATED POSTS
