  • Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour

Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour by Meenal Chand Eco-friendly clothing is the need of the hour 1 December 2020 FASHION Advertisement With the adverse chaotic outburst of the nature we are witnessing and the trendy ‘local for vocal’, there’s no harm or I must say there’s more smartness in switching to sustainability. One thing that is much needed and should be updated is the fashion and clothing and if it’s in the good side without putting burden on the environment we live in what could be better than that? Advocating sustainable fashion, I must say clothing made from cotton ,jute etc would not only be eco friendly but it could give a big boost to the economy as well if one finds a way to make it more reasonable and classy. Infact, bigger brands have already started working on that and it’s more of a movement and process fostering change to fashion products and the fashion system towards greater ecological integrity and social justice. Sustainable fashion concerns more than just addressing fashion textiles or products. It comprises addressing the whole system of fashion. In pursuit of making considerable great amendments in the field and to seek divergence from same old fibres ,this could be a real helpful way! #ecofriendlyclothing #Fashion #sustainablefashion SEARCH The Rich Heritage of Indian Handloom FASHION Fashion In The 19th Century FASHION Colour Psychology in Fashion: Explained FASHION The Influence Of Kanye West On Fashion FASHION K-Pop Fashion And Its Impact On Global Wardrobe FASHION POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement By Shriniwas Kodape AiSPi Wanderlust Diaries: Marzook, L’Afshar, And A Fashion Bender In Mumbai 25 April 2025 FASHION By Anushka Uniyal Kiyaan Silver: Timeless Jewellery For Every Woman 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra The Shoe Faktory Success Story: Ishpreet Singh Gujral’s Bold Business Leap 27 March 2025 FASHION By Sakshi Batra From Reality TV To Real Success: Nibedita Paal’s Inspiring Story 27 March 2025 FASHION RELATED POSTS

  • Ramandeep Kaur, Charmingly Dauntless

Ramandeep Kaur, Charmingly Dauntless by Aparajita Jaiswal Ramandeep Kaur, Charmingly Dauntless 23 September 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement It is always natural to feel extremely proud of the new self created out of the previous portions of ourselves! One such person with extreme sense of pride stands to be Ramandeep Kaur! Being a part of the Punjabi industry makes you extremely filled with energy in spite of the obstacles. Speaking of which, the gracious actor talks about her journey, mentioning, "I began as a manager in a salon and opportunities were presented naturally, quite willingly by others and situations supported those opportunities and I was fortunate enough to take advantage. It has been a passion of mine, all my life." Talking of obstacles, one doesn’t always get what she/he wants. "I prefer to perceive rejections as challenges, motivating me to do better," the actress says, gracefully. The very thought of making it huge in spite of rejections, hypes one up. In a creative field such as acting, it is a regular roller coaster where every artist goes through rejections and fame. The journey of fame deals with the public eye and staying grounded is very important. Ramandeep comments when asked how she deals with fame, "I stay humble." The very essence of the Punjabi film industry and the anticipation of where it is leading excites the audience. "I feel the Punjabi industry is on the way up, it is getting more worldwide exposure and I am excited to be a part of it," says the actress. Speaking of the industry, the reader often gets mesmerised by what they observe on social media. When asked about the trends that she rejoices in, her confidence peaked as she exclaimed, "I am the trend on social media." Ramandeep Kaur expresses her inspiration to be the humble blockbuster star, Diljit Dosanjh. While getting inspired in all ways, Ramandeep comments on her love for fashion. "I love fashion and I follow all trends to ensure I am always on top of it." Fashion brings in a lot of stereotypes attached to it as interpreted by society, majorly associated with body shaming and fitness. However, being an actress it's perceived differently, "I understand that the world is becoming diverse and is allowing people of all shapes and sizes to share the spotlight. However, I myself attend the gym regularly to maintain my figure." To stay on top, in both, one's professional and personal life, is a big deal. Thus to mark the lines between reel and real life for an actor is even more tough! "I stay in character on set and on only on set, I never take my character home with me. My personal life is a completely separate entity from my work." This actually is difficult to fathom for the readers as the work she engages in all seem so perfectly put, however, that is what would also make a rising beauty, like her, such a great actress! "My work does not affect my personal life as I try to be professional to all extents, taking my personal life seriously and looking after it as closely as I do for my career." As the audience looks forward to her engaging them in more of her films, it is also interesting to have a glance at her perspective. The career of every actor brings her to different roles and it is quite obvious to be biased to one or having regrets in having played a certain character. However, for Ramandeep, there are no regrets in the roles she has enacted. "I am proud of all the characters I have had the opportunity to play." My work does not affect my personal life as I am a professional and take my career very seriously! • Madhura Naik talks about the Life of an Actress

Madhura Naik talks about the Life of an Actress by Aparajita Jaiswal Madhura Naik talks about the Life of an Actress 30 June 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement In a freewheel chat with Neha Pande and Aparajita Jaiswal, Madhura Naik shares her journey in the acting industry. She is a brilliant actress, model and proud brand owner who has appeared in popular shows such as Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath, Tumhari Pakhi, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji and many more. She is an extremely hardworking, optimistic and creatively talented sensation who is not just an amazing actress but also someone who is an inspiration for the youth. Born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh; Madhura has been in the industry since 2007. Wanting to first be a Genetic engineer, Madhura moved to Bombay and has a degree in economics and Law. “Being an actress was never planned for me. I got discovered in my college campus for Universal and one thing led to the other.” For Madhura hardwork is the key ingredient for anyone. “I believe that every role I have played has had a memory for me. I was attached to Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani because we became a family on set and all of us are still great friends. It was basically coming on the set and having fun. I was just a kid, probably seventeen or eighteen, while shooting it.” “From 2020 a typical day in my life starts with washing vessels and cooking in the morning. I work during the day. In the evening I like to concentrate on my fitness and at night I am usually chilling with my friends” Madhura says. “ I had to learn how to cook on a stove for ‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji’. “I love cooking and I think in the lockdown I discovered cooking all over again” she told us. Madhura has been working for ‘The Ghost Thesis’ for an Amazon Web Series which will be released so keep an eye out for that. “When it comes to T.V I’ve worked with Star Plus, UTV, Sony channel, Life OK, Star One. It has been a great experience working with these brands and production houses. As far as fashion brands are concerned one of my most memorable experiences is working with Baume Mercier in Paris. I was very young when I was living in Paris so that would always hold a special place in my heart,” she said. Madhura is an extremely creative individual. “I like to create new things. The monotony gets to me sometimes so I feel it is important to reinvent myself every now and then. That is something that is constant about me and keep up with the upcoming trends and keep learning new things.” Madhura also usually tends to improvise slightly when she cannot relate to the dialogues of the script. As a kid Madhura aspired to be a genetic engineer but after she ended up in Mumbai she was discovered on her college campus for a music video with Universal and one thing led to another. “There is a huge difference working as a tv actress and a movie actress,” she says. “For tv sometimes you end up working fourteen hours a day. Films usually wrap up in fourth five days or sixty days whereas tv series go on for years on end. It’s a completely different ball game on tv because you have to put in a lot of hardwork and time. Sometimes the content you’re shooting is scheduled to release the very next day so you’re almost on real time. The pressure is far more on tv.” Madhura stresses that hardwork is the key point for success in this industry. “I wish I had guidance as to what projects to pick up and which projects to refuse when I was starting off in this industry because I did not have a career plan. I wish today if I was starting off, I wish I had somebody to guide me on which projects to concentrate on and how to go about films as I did not have a film background.” Madhura has created her own brand Lady M as she has always been inclined towards fashion. When asked what inspired her to dip her feet into fashion and creating her own brand she said, “I always like to dress well and see others dressed well and I feel it inspires you as a person when you’re having a bad day but when you step into the right shoes and clothes you feel really good about yourself. Fashion is not just about wearing good clothes but feeling good while you wear them. I wanted to also introduce new trends to my close friends and the actors but also it is also for the masses. I would love to also dip my feet into the makeup industry but fashion is more my thing than makeup.” Every role I’ve played has had a memory for me. Madhura did an advertisement in association with Bindass tv for PETA with Ashmit Patel against caging birds. “It was for a very good cause and I am completely against caging birds because their first instinct is to fly and it is very sad to have their first instinct being taken away from them. I feel sad seeing birds in cages and I would still like to talk about this because I want people to be aware of what they are doing when they are caging birds. The response to this ad was good and I feel like at least my fans would listen to me and not cage birds.” Madhura continues to work with PETA. “Whenever I see an animal suffering on the roads I always call up PETA and the team is very kind to take them in and take care of them. Madhura has played both roles, protagonist and antagonist. “There’s a vast difference while playing the two roles. When you’re playing the antagonist you have so much to explore because the character has so many shades but when you’re playing a positive role there is just one boring side to the character. I personally prefer playing negative roles. Acting is all about how you train your mind. You just have to become that person so I do not think it is hard for any actor to pretend to be someone else and be in a character’s shoes.” The most challenging part of the job, Madhura says, are the long hours because you don’t have a life and balancing your work life and professional life is crucial. “From morning to evening you’re engaged in the shoot and then when you’re back you’re so tired that you sleep and the next morning when you wake up you’re again gearing up for the shoot. People really need to know the hard work that goes behind the glamour. They just see the glamour and the exotic destinations. What most people do not realise is that while shooting we do not have time to explore cities even while shooting in Paris or London. I start my day in front of the camera and end my day in front of the camera.” Her biggest inspiration is the hard work that Beyoncé puts into her work. “I always find Beyoncé to be a big inspiration because of the hard work that she puts into doing anything that she does, the process of creating from scratch to releasing the final video. She is always on her toes, always working round the clock and she makes it look effortless. She inspires her team also to work that hard so the blood and sweat that goes into her work is a true inspiration,” she says. “As an actress I find Deepika Padukone to be an inspiration as she always gets her characters point on and as a model I find Bella hadid an inspiration as Victoria’s Secret models put in a lot of effort into their bodies. The kind of training that they go through before going on the ramp is not easy. They play all sorts of sports and are grilled to have the perfect bodies. They follow a strict diet and I know how difficult it is to stay without water before your shoot. The fashion industry is quite cut throat.” Hardwork according to Madhura is not the only thing that is the key to this industry. It is a combination of hardwork, talent and luck. Some people are lucky enough to land in the right place at the right time and find the right role. That is something I feel is destiny. I believe in destiny. No matter how hard work, destiny and timing has to be just right.” She feels that the one person that keeps pushing you forward is yourself. “The toughest time I faced was when I got into a road accident while shooting pyaar ki ek kahani. I dislocated my shoulder and did not have enough time to recover before being back on set. For three months I had to shoot with a broken shoulder and my entire harness on.” Madhura says that it is tough playing characters that you cannot relate to. “This industry has been kind with the roles and achievements I have had till date so just being able to stand up on my own two feet and the financial stability and freedom has made me who i am today. I will always be grateful for that.” “I just want to inspire people and fill their minds with positivity. I want to tell people not to take life so seriously because all you have is right now and life is not meant to be taken so seriously. Just enjoy who you are today.” This quarantine Madhura discovered herself as an artist. “I had a lot of time to read, sketched and rediscovered myself as an artist. I wrote, I sang, I read and it was a phase where I could bring back all my creativity. I personally like this book called Alice by Paulo Coelho. Madhura continues to be an inspiration to our youth with her zealous personality, her creativity and her work. She brings in positivity and wishes her fans safety and to enjoy their life. Her most aspiration quality being that she has always reinvented herself for the better and continues to add creative aspects to her work and personality. • How was Chocolate Born

by Tanya Gupta How was Chocolate Born 13 August 2022 FOOD Advertisement Advertisement Chocolate is one of the most favourite sweet of people. Whether it's a kid or an adult , can never say no to a chocolate. However, chocolate as we see today in various shapes, sizes and flavours was a bitter drink when it was discovered. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. - Regina Brett It was discovered 4000 years ago in Mexico. Mexicans were the first ones to recognize the value of cocoa seeds in the Amazon forest. They believed that they were the gifts of the God of Wisdom . That time chocolate was served as a bitter liquid brewed from cocoa seeds and mixed with spices . The Mexicans passed on their knowledge to the Mayas. They not only consumed cocoa beans but also used them for transactions. Mayan chocolate was much more thicker and combined with honey or water along with spices. The Aztecs liked drinking chocolate in a cold form. In Spain, chocolate was prescribed by doctors to cure fever, aid in digestion and as a painkiller. In 1828, the cocoa press was invented which squeezed cocoa butter from cocoa beans, resulting in the formation of fine cocoa powder. The powder was then mixed with liquids and molded to form hard solidified chocolates which we eat today. #chocolate #chocolatehistory #Mexico #chocolatelover #cocoa SEARCH How was Chocolate Born FOOD Virgin Territory: These non-alcoholic thirst quenchers are mixologist approved FOOD Tasting the sunny side of Christmas: Christmas Cocktails FOOD 5 Destinations You Must Head to Taste Wine in India FOOD Breakfast – Don’t miss! • Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism

Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism by Naisargi Devdher Suhani Shah Celebrating 25 years in Mentalism 2 September 2022 COVER STORIES Advertisement Even before understanding what fame and glamour is, a child understood what magic is! It was 26 years ago, that a 6 year old Suhani saw a ‘magic show’ and dreamt of becoming a magician. This marks her 25th year performing mentalism, as she still carries the charm and innocence that 7 year old Suhani did. Talking of it, there is a lot of glamour, a factor of ‘wow’, self-love and over confidence associated with the career transition. To which, she elaborately explains, “As a child, I kept talking of magic and fortunately, my parents honestly were extremely considerate about it. You know, my father spent 6 months looking for a tutor and basically putting across magic as my educational development, because somewhere my inclination towards magic was visible. And that was the age when I didn’t even understand what glamour or for a fact even fame is! So when my first show was grandly put about, the then Chief Minister attended it. That was exactly how my career began. So for me on a personal level, fame has been a part of my career, so has glamour, it existed then, it persists now, so never does overconfidence seem to be very much an issue to say.” Putting it simply, she brought about the point of growing up with talent. Queerly, to think of, does a child always begin with imagining that she would be a part of a mega industry rather than just performing for herself? That anticipation of where she’s being lead to marks a crazy confusion in the life of an artist. “To be completely honest, yes, I did think that the talent is leading me to some place grand. I could foresee my career with magic, art and what not around. However, I truly did never expect this transition, you know! I did never know I would be assimilated with a streaming, or filming culture. That for me has not just given me a new hypo graph to live up to but also, something I truly wanted to do. Having youthful energy, I wrote books over mentalism and magic, I had art shows to perform but none of it made me as satisfied as being a part of this industry makes me. That is the exact meaning for transition and unknowingly yet beautiful, I get pushed and mingled in the industry.” When the transition of career happens to be natural, there are a lot of changes one needs to adapt to. There was a demand for the talent I held, but it was never a career that I would want to perform. Thus till the pandemic hit, I really didn’t think of it. However, when the pandemic hit, the work stopped, I was barred from home and that was exactly when I began with YouTube streaming and making videos. So the transition was never sudden, it just happened slowly. I had to adapt, accept and identify that I was away from the stage, I had screens to connect with people to, and performing live had a very different sense. That adaption was actually challenging because it brought me to a stage where I had to recognise my career scope and recognize what exactly was to be done. You know, I didn’t go to school, I didn’t go to college, I was just working all the while, and now I was here where I had to sit and just do nothing. That was more challenging for me. So I remember, starting off with an online show, ‘Magic being performed online’, that somewhat pulled me through the pandemic dilemma. While streaming on YouTube was the exact game changer I was looking for because looking back, I was having fun doing it. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a novel spectrum of my career!” All this while, Suhani mentioned the Pandemic to be a revolution in all senses However, through all of this happening, there is a high doubt of where art forms are leading to when it comes to India, because there's a lot to do with glamour here as well. “A bit contrary to what you said, India is filled with art forms with diverse roots. It’s not even similar, there is a difference in totality. And truly, in my understanding, we are always attracted to glamour. You see a beautiful rose, its glamour, desire of living in a house I glamour, and that will always be appreciated but here it’s more about how you understand art to be. Because art is also glamorous, art also is beautiful and that goes hand in hand. The window to the world during the pandemic was their phones. People were seeing direction, cinematography and all of it came from art. And whatever the screens passed on to people was art. People eventually started valuing art, realising that when nothing works, and its art that they can rely on.” Mentioning the importance of art and growing up with it, there is a lot of superstitious association with magic. Dealing with which stands out from any coaching. “Since childhood, I was looked at as a ‘DEVI’, saying I can heal everything possible. Earlier, people confused me with a musician and there I had to sort out the exact meaning of a magician, after which, a lot of people came to me asking me to heal their illnesses or asking me solve their problems. This was exactly what shifted me away from any sort of superstitious association since childhood. I give ted talks speaking against superstitions. Hence I always say, ‘I CANNOT READ MINDS, I CAN CREATE AN ILLUSION OF READING MIND’.” Just adding illusions cannot definitely define it as magic. However, according to Suhani, Guzaarish is a movie that utilises pieces of magical elements. That’s exactly where she leaves you with… Wonder how to deal with magic, because every potential of yours is magic if you know how to use it!! • Do I feel pretty?

SOCIETY by Neha Pande Do I feel pretty? 1 September 2020 SOCIETY Advertisement Advertisement Do I feel pretty? Do I love my looks? Miniskirt or Salwar Suit, which one should I choose? A women’s life is scandalous and decided by the way she dresses or looks, it is the harsh reality of the women beauty standards where aesthetics is everything. A judgmental world where lipsticks are more expensive than books because that’s how the society is, isn’t it? Makeup, surgery and the way I “should” dress, publicised through all social media making young girls think they are to look a certain way. Society has made it a norm for women to dress pretty with makeup done neatly and not to dress tomboyish as it is impolite for a girl to be dressed in men’s clothing. Funny thing is it doesn’t even matter if she’s perfect with beautiful skin and a neatly dressed or if she is tom boyishly dressed with bad skin, it doesn’t matter the amount or makeup she has on or does not because the society still will judge, it will still try to nit-pick on whatever they can. You may think if she’s in a Miniskirt people will drool over her and if she is in a Salwar Suit people might call her a ‘behenji’; to that, yes, that might happen with our society falling into the tracks of western culture people might like the miniskirt and beautifully done makeup better but salwar suit has its own charm and will also invite a lot of spectators. But it doesn’t matter if it’s a Salwar Suit or a Miniskirt as the female behind it will still be criticized, as if her change in size or dressing has let everyone down. Her body is caged in reviews and views with titles on her as if she’s a zoo animal, shouldn’t she be allowed to dress however she wants? Shouldn’t she wear as much makeup as she wants or not? Society may change with feminist movements going around the globe, this mentality might change and till then all we can do is to stop asking the question about which one is better, Miniskirt or Salwar Suit because it doesn’t really matter as we all are passengers of the same ship which is headed by the captain called “Society” and we all are suffering the same from the same judgment as others. Adventure is the spice of life and at times the best experiences and adventures are with yourself. It is the best way of discovering yourself. Conquer your fears We all are scared of something and these things at times keep us up all night so before we go let’s conquer at least one of them. Conquering fear is on everyone’s bucket list but it’s too scary and at times looked over but it gives us no bigger satisfaction when we finally conquer our fears, it makes us a better version of ourselves. So, let’s start conquering these fears step by step and not be scared of those little spiders or clowns or thunder, let’s live life on our own terms. Get a Tattoo How long have you wished for that work of art on your body? People get scared or maybe conflicted when they talk about getting a tattoo because they think it’ll hurt like hell or they feel like it’s not the right time or they don’t have a specific design yet. Tattoos are like an expression of yourself on your body, they are beautiful works of art that are yours for life to cherish and one should get at least one in their entire life because they are beautiful self-representations. #Death #GetaTattoo #Conqueryourfears #Bealonewolf #GetaPet #EatYourHeartOut #Bucketlist #Deathwish #BeforeIdie #LearnANewLanguage #Travel #DonateBlood SEARCH Countdown To History: Omega Unveils Paris 2024 Olympics Countdown Clock And Special Edition Timepiece LIFESTYLE Juggling Law And Fashion: The Inspirational Journey Of Riddhi Nahata, A Multifaceted Influencer LIFESTYLE Join Shruti Yogi On Her Enchanting Journey From Kumkum Bhagya To Wanderlust Saga LIFESTYLE Personal Growth And Relatability: Ishita Khanna's Key To Influencer Success LIFESTYLE 6 Disadvantages Of Being Pretty LIFESTYLE POPULAR POSTS Advertisement Advertisement By Shrinivas Kodape Fast Times In Pune: Tracksuits, Dreams And A Dash Of Madness At Sports Con 2025 29 April 2025 LIFESTYLE By Aarti Singh The Audi A6: A Legacy Born From Rebellion And Refined Through Innovation 1 March 2025 LIFESTYLE By Sakshi Batra Glam Extravaganza 2025: Pune And Mumbai’s Influencers Compete For The Ultimate Spotlight 27 February 2025 LIFESTYLE By Anushka Uniyal Ice, Speed And Records: Porsche Taycan GTS Drifts Into History 27 February 2025 LIFESTYLE RELATED POSTS Advertisement
